    It physically galls me that some MENSA candidate at Blizzard figured out how to commit an act of historical revisionism this egregious. This was a worse revision of a beloved franchise than what Ninja Theory did to Devil May Cry, and that had slides about how Classic Dante belongs in Brokeback Mountain.

    Activision-Blizzard found a new way to ruin an old game. I once wished for a remastered version of Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 but now I wish nothing more than for those games to be left alone. Activision blizzard is not the Blizzard I grew up with in the 90s.

    This game could not have underdelivered worse. Blizzard promised updated cutscenes, quality cinematics, and revamped multi-player and we got a half-baked turd.

    This game forced me to download a 30GB client update for my classic Warcraft 3 installation which would not allow me to play anything but the campaign. AI matches, even when offline, would fail from some unknown error. Tried reinstalling it but now the battle.net launcher says I don't have it and have to buy Reforged.     I grew up with WarCraft series with Warcraft III being the highlight of the series. I was excited to hear it was being remastered head to toe with everything including the kitchen sink being thrown in. Unfortunately the final product resembles nothing like what has been advertised for 2 years now.

It does not include 4+ hrs of redone cut scenes and resemble nothing like what was displayed in the trailers. The UI was not redone. Ladder, clans, etc. are missing. The game runs sluggish even on my top of the line system. They even went back and brought problems with the new game and forced them into the older version of the game making the games inoperable.

    Avoid this game. If you bought it, request a refund.    … Expand

    Blizzard is not what it once was, and this game clearly proves that. it is not at all what was promised at Blizzcon 2018, as all it amounts to is a slight graphical upgrade (if you can even call it that) and no other noticeable improvements. The client used to run this game is atrocious, with framerate dips and numerous other performance issues. Not only that, but the original client hasBlizzard is not what it once was, and this game clearly proves that. it is not at all what was promised at Blizzcon 2018, as all it amounts to is a slight graphical upgrade (if you can even call it that) and no other noticeable improvements. I used to look forward to what games Blizzard would release, but after this, I cannot help but dread what state upcoming games like Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 will be released in. Очевидно ведь, что люди, которые не купили Reforged, ссали на него и на все нововведения, и просто хотят играть в обычный старый Варкрафт.     Las unidades se ven bien, pero nada mas todo lo demás igual ni la música remasteeizaron las cinematicas y los mapas son iguales tampoco hay shaders que valgan la pena. el juego es una estafa por que blizzard prometio las cinematicas nuevas (entre otras cosas) y ni siquiera se dignaron a colocar la que promocionaron en la blizcon 2018, directamente un engaño.

    This is the first video game I have ever had to return. It was unplayable on a computer that met game's requirements. I'm 34 years old and have been deep into Blizzard games since I was 11 so I was really looking forward to this release and wanted to enjoy it- I prepaid within 24 hours of preorders opening and waited the 13+ months. Wish it had been worth waiting for.

The Cut's to the game from even preview clips are completely gone, the bugs are plentiful, it seems no one at blizzard knows how to play test anything before releasing.     As someone who didn’t necessarily grow up with the original, but was a fan of the original, this is just sad. A blatant rip off of such a beloved game. The last time I played Warcraft 3 was quite some time ago but I instantly recognized those cut scenes as the originals. The UI is just as clunky as it was back then, and it breaks my heart to see the once great blizzard now fallen....

    Blizzard did not deliver what they promised. Instead I got a reskin of the old game and no new cinematics. It took them this long to create this garbage. Yet another greedy cash grab that over promised and under delivered. It is a shame to watch a company whose games I have been playing for 25 years produce such garbage. I hope they can get their act together before it is too late

    This was supposed to be a safe release for them, but somehow they found a way to screw it up. I would say just play the original version of the game, but they decided to throw it in the dumpster along with reforged.

What makes it worse, is this studio was my childhood, from The Lost Vikings, Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, through to World of Warcraft, Blizzard has given me some of the best gaming memories of my life!

    When they announced they were doing a full remaster of Warcraft 3and adding extra content to the game, I was in! Instantly, I was ready to pay full price, $100+ if that's what it took! Warcraft 3 was one of the best RTS games I've ever played, from the story line, to the gameplay, it was just on point!

    So, I put my money down of course, and then they pushed it back. At first, I wasn't too worried, it's an important part of Blizzards heritage. I was sure they just wanted to do it justice. Then I heard they were cutting the new story content. That annoyed me. But, I held my peace. As long as I was getting the original game, with those sexy new graphics, I'd still be pretty damned happy.

    Then it got delayed again.

    Finally, the day came for release. I was constantly refreshing battle.net, to try and get into the game!

    The download started, and I could feel the anticipation rising, my excitement to get back in and play through one of my favourite game storylines, with all those sexy new cutscenese!

    The download finished, I got myself a drink, a snack and set myself up for a night of binge gaming...

    and the game crashed before I could even open a menu...

    Ok I though, maybe I needed to do a reboot. It was a pretty big game...

    After a restart of my machine, I tried again. I've got a pretty decent machine, i7-9700k, RTX-2060, 16gb RAM and i'd installed the game on an m.2 drive... Even the menu animations were glitchy and slow as hell! My blood was starting to rise a little, but I pushed it down.

    I walked away, and came back later. This time I got into a story mission, managed to watch the prophet winging his way around and whatnot. The gameplay was even worse than the menu's. Rubberbanding of character movement, completely stopping, and finally it crashed out.

    I nearly lost it!

    I gave up for two days because I was so angry! When I came back, there had been an update. I bypassed the intro campaign and went straight to Arthas... and I got booted saying i'd been defeated straight away, before the mission had even loaded!

    and on it goes like this.

    Blizzard, I hope you read everyone of these negative reviews and realise what little fan support you had left is flying out the window. You screwed the pooch with BFA, now you've done it again with War 3: Refunded...

    I have absolutely no interest in ever buying one of your products again after this!    … Expand

    What a total disgrace. Looks nothing like the announcements or previous trailers! I have followed the closed beta closely and they published this game as soon as it seemed somewhat reasonable to do so. However they did not meet anybodies expectations!

    As someone who grew up playing this I couldn't be more disappointed. I remember coming home from school and booting this up and loving every second of it the campaign the cinematics everything and then we come to this dumpster fire of a reboot with none of the promised features and buggy as hell.

    A disappointing and broken mess. Game-breaking bugs in multiplayer, removed features from a 20+ year old game, and even the remade graphics look out out of place and badly done. It was not what was promised and feels rushed.

    Game doesn’t even come close to what they promised on blizzcon 2018, they promised almost a new game, with tons of added cinematics and fully upgraded graphics but actually it’s just a bunch revamped character models, I barely see any difference between old 2002 and the new reforged terrain, new models become awkward sitting on top of the old 2002 graphics, it feels like just a half-doneGame doesn’t even come close to what they promised on blizzcon 2018, they promised almost a new game, with tons of added cinematics and fully upgraded graphics but actually it’s just a bunch revamped character models, I barely see any difference between old 2002 and the new reforged terrain, new models become awkward sitting on top of the old 2002 graphics, it feels like just a half-done job to grab some money since they are charging almost what a new game nowadays cost.     Do I really need to say? Everyone else has done a good job for me. People wouldn't be so angry if they just kept this game away from the original. Should of just changed it to Warcraft 3: Re-textured and charged less. It feels just like a DLC or High Res Mod pack so.... yeah.

I didn't even buy Reforged. I still have classic and I literally can't even finish a game 75% of the time due to connection problems and crashes.     -Blizzard managed to unfinish a game that has been finished for 17 years.
    -Custom Map mode(s) could save the game for TD lovers (like myself) if bnet lag spikes improve
    -Very upset that old WC3 multiplayer got merged to a ****

    I quite literally cannot play this game anymore. Fixing custom lobbies/host commands was bless. But deleting the game? I'll be praying for Blizzard to undo the damage. It's super easy to do, please, I beg, I need my Tree Tag.

    - broken, buggy launch
    - they BROKE THE ORIGINAL GAME! bundling reforged up with the original means that everything wrong with reforged now reflects on the original game. This is unacceptable
    - servers are horrible and many games are unplayable; people keep dropping during lobbies and desynching in games
    - the new UI, especially the online one for multiplayer, is atrocious. They went with a **** StarCraft 2 style which makes you just want to get into a game as soon as possible, there is no enjoying a lounge in a channel anymore
    - despite all tjose bugs and bad design decisions, the worst thing is their new policy on custom maps. The only reasom wc3 became.popular in the first place

    Blizzard is no longer the same company that made WC3. They are so incompetent that they can't even remake a 20 YEAR OLD GAME. That THEY made. This is a total disgrace.

    I bought this game as a huge fan of the original - The quality doesn't even come close to Starcraft Reforged. There are no new cinematics, poor quality cut scenes... not even the character models for the heroes look anywhere as good as shown at Blizzcon... I mean damn, I expected more from Blizzard.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
