    I've never reviewed anything on any site. But this abomination of a remastery needs to have as much negative feedback as possible. I have been booted due to disconnecting servers in 75% of my games and the other 25% my opponents disconnect within the first 5 min of the game for probably the same reason. Blizzard/Activision's silence on the matter is just making it easier to stop playingI've never reviewed anything on any site.     This is a disgrace! Promised contents are nowhere to be found, some old functions are gone for whatever reasons. The only thing that is an "improvement" here is the graphic, but other than that there's not a single upgrade but instead downgrades. This "game" is not just downgraded, it's false advertised. This is not Warcraft 3: Reforged, this is Warcraft 3: DEforged, a massive scam!

    no better than the original and now you can't play original, and now blizzard want to control the rights to custom games a hallmark of the original Warcraft 3, without which we would not have League of legends and Dota 2

    Normally with Blizzard unlike the Activation side I felt I would be safe buying before waiting for reviews. I was sadly wrong. For me Warcraft 3 was a great classic and being honest Blizzard really didn't have to much for me to have been happy. A graphic update would have been fine. What they did to Starcraft to me at least was great and wish they had done that.

    It's hard to even know where to start, but because this is supposed to be a remake of a beloved, iconic game, it was really hard for Blizzard to screw this up. But somehow, they have screwed this up. There was complete false advertisement in the product, the game was nothing that was promised in Blizzcon. What's worse is that Blizzard knows that they committed fraud and scammed theirIt's hard to even know where to start, but because this is supposed to be a remake of a beloved, iconic game, it was really hard for Blizzard to screw this up. Lastly, Blizzard also used this chance to set on fire the original Warcraft 3 game by removing features that were core to the original game. One can see that Blizzard is now siding with their new Activision and Chinese overlords for the sake of pure greed. It is a tragedy of what once use to be one of the best gaming companies fall to where it is now, the worst. I thought Fallout 76 was the worst, then this happened.… Expand

    I bought the classic game full price to play on my potato computer since 20 years ago (500MB ram, celeron, 60GB hard driver with onboard graphic card). The game still work flawlessly. I have better PC as i grew up and today, when I finally have time for some classic warcraft 3 game, all I have is 1 hour update, 30 GB less SDD, crash on launch and after a few search, I figure out that II bought the classic game full price to play on my potato computer since 20 years ago (500MB ram, celeron, 60GB hard driver with onboard graphic card). I"m finally going to buy a PC of my own for the first time in my life later this year). I fell in love with it and I so badly want to fall in love with it again. Here's hoping another absolute **** gem of my childhood, FF7, doesn't crash and burn like this bull**** did. B/c FF15, while alright, was ultimately disappointing.

    More and more do I see people whow make preorders getting burned. I know so, so many people get very excited to play games, but way WAY too often are people finding themselves disappointed at letting money be put toward these failures.

Warcraft 3: Refunded also doesn't include any of the previously promised NEW CUTSCENES.

    Don't even think about buying this abomination. Waste of money, waste of time, despoliation of the childhood memories, an act of public defecation directed at the faces of the existing w3 community.

    It's one thing to mess up a remake of a classic game. It's another thing to back-patch said classic game and mess that up too. I can still watch the original version of A New Hope where Han shot first. I can't play the original Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne now that Activision-Blizzard dumped it down a digital memory hole.

    Asked for a refund. The critics reviews don’t make any sense: « this is not what was promised but it’s still a good game ». If I buy a car with park assist and they give me a car without it while i paid exactly for that i wont go « well at least i can still drive it! ». They sold us a lie. Blizzard should be ashamed.

As it means with a successful gamemode; Blizzard can steal and redistribute that gamemode without the original author being credited or compensated. It also means the last 15 years of custom maps (campaigns, etc) will not be added to Remastered as a direct result.

    This is a travesty. and sadly. it's all that's expected of modern Blizzard. actually so out of touch with reality they destroy their own legacy without a second thought. disgusting and shameful.    … Expand

    No promises upheld. Character model updates are basically irrelevant, you'll spend the game as zoomed out as possible. Made it so you have to find a backdoor way just to play a versus with only AI. Locked our original games. Goodbye Blizzard, you have forever lost a customer.

    the only reason i really played warcraft 3 so much was because of the custom maps, their policy on custom maps and the creators of them is disgusting and kills the game for me. That with the fake bull**** preorder now promises that are non existent, bugs and missing features and the destruction of the original warcraft 3 makes this game fully deserve all the 0s.

First it forced me to download 24,5 GB of bloatware, then it didn't allow me to play offline without BN account, and finally when I tried to log in it crashed with error... about 15 times in a row!     They delivered a terrible product. I preordered this game and what they showed on their reveal in 2018. is a completely different game than the one we got in 2020. The cutscenes look way worse, the FPS is terrible and many other features were cut.

    THIS IS A MONEY GRAB.

    Negligence + Greed + Budget Cuts

    After what transpired over the last couple years, you would think Blizzard would do everything in their power (which they have no shortage of) to right the ship. I loved Blizzard, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to trust them.

    I felt cheated, they had talked about improving custom maps, but they eliminated all this for the players / creators. and by the way they take away all the credit, does our time and work have no importance for you blizzard?

    A big disappointment reinforced.

    All we can hope for is that they fix the following. 1. The portrait of some of the units (Look at "Kel'Thuzad" from the undead campain lmao) 2. The UI (PLEASE) 3. Glitches and bugs (Obviously) 4. The colors of the units/environment needs to be polished (LOOK AT THE ORC AND THE    A lot of us can agree that reforged was a big disappointment .

    Warcraft 3 was a legendary game for 2003 . So sad that it had to end this way.

    A disaster in every sense of the word. Even if one is prepared to be generous to a company who insists on rereleasing “updated” back catalog titles as tent poles this still misses the mark. Somehow sloppier than the decades old property they’re “updating” this sloppy and unpolished dud reeks of a cash grab.

    I have pre-purchased this game the moment it became available. WC3 is one of my favourite games of that era. I remember the countless hours spent playing various custom maps (dota mostly). I became interested in map making with my friend around the time TFT came out. Spending countless hours learning triggers and the nuance of not putting too many doodads on the map. While I can't claim that I would have made any maps for reforged I can say that with the new TOS any inkling to do so has evaporated. I am mostly baffled by the amount of issues at the launch of the reforged version. This seems almost deliberate, which might be weird to say but deliberate sabotage sounds better than sheer incompetence and indifference of the company towards its maybe not flagship title but one that certainly help put them on the map. I will cling to hope against hope and will not refund. However I will not be purchasing any new products until this is fixed.… Expand

    Unplayable, destroyed a game I loved for many years. I can no longer play online and my custom maps are all deleted even when i would be able to play the game in the future.... how you could you fail this badly....

    I was so excited to play the campaign with new cutscenes and reworked maps. I started the first mission and INSTANTLY knew something was wrong. The camera was god awful, clunky, and exactly as I remember it in the original. They lied. They absolutely lied.

    I wish this game was actually remade instead of merging with the old version. I wish there were quality of life improvements like    I was so excited to play the campaign with new cutscenes and reworked maps. I started the first mission and INSTANTLY knew something was wrong.     So I went to play Warcraft III: Realm of Chaos, Battle.net installed Warcraft III: Reforged instead, all offical WC3:RoC download links now download Reforged instead. The reason for the zero score is because we've all lost our licenses to RoC without a single comment from ActivisionBlizzard, only to be replaced with the buggy as hell, feature lacking, piece of crap that is Reforged.

First and foremost the game is excessively large for a 15-year-old game, yes I know its updated, yet it wants to take up roughly 40-45 GB on my pc which is laughable as that's about half the size of WoW and SWTOR with the patches. next the game is a nostalgia trip but doesn't really doSo I love the old games, they were what I grew up with, however, this new game just is not up to snuff.     It is a game called Warcraft III, so at least they lived up to that part of the advertising. Its just that not much else changed... Apart from improved resolution/scaling. Where is the improved UI and cutscenes etc.?

    It's not what was promised, stay away :) . There really isnt to much to say about the game, because what was said was all lies. Who knows, there might be an acuall Blizzard at blizzard.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
