    This has to stop. As of now this game has little to do with what was promised. Warcraft Refunded has become a meme. And we all know a team of dedicated modders would have done a better job without "deleting" features of the old game.
    But actually the sad part is, that the size of this **** still surprises me... and I doubt Activision-Blizzard will learn anything from it.

    Just horrible. Nothing like the original experience I enjoyed as a kid. A lot of content has been cut or scrapped and ot doesn't have the raw feeling the original version had. Seems like Blizzard is even worse cash-grabber as I had expected. Hope you won't mess up Diablo 4 as well. Shame on you.

A game that is full-priced,with pre-order option and not promises "new man's sky"-like but what it seemingly felt "doable" especially to blizzard's standards.Boy were we wrong,the game delivers less than half of what they promised,with many changed on the game being for the limitation of custom mapmaking and deleting the old lobby,making access to the all well-known W3 game impossible.
    Downgrade all the way,a game with too many lies and to many "targeted" updates such as the terms and condition around the custom mapmaking,feels disgusting.    … Expand

    Classic graphics in Reforged client look worse (shadows are missing, saturation is off, some spells/effects are missing)
    RoC campaign is now using TFT balancing

    Features that were available during Blizzcon 2018 and have been cut during the latest updates:

    Arranged teams
    Reconnection via GProxy
    Overall game stability (desyncs or crashes would almost never happen, now custom games are plagued with both)
    Bot features (only going to list some of them):
    Online lobby list and in-game chat, available from a browser (what games are hosted right now, how many players are in a lobby, etc.)
    Competitive custom games (auto-balance and matchmaking based on ELO or empirical algorithms specialized for each custom map)
    Ability to kick/ban trolls (after the removal of bots they added the ban functionality, but you would have to re-ban the person every session)
    Better ping/latency
    Protection against hacks and maphacks
    Anti-spam protection
    Automatic replay saving and archiving with easy search from a website
    Game/replay archive
    Probably many more things that I can’t recall at this moment

    Problems with the game itself?
    bugs, crashes, (missions start with losing)
    stiff animations, graphical improvements as a whole feel weak
    removed the blizzcon2018 style cutscenes and instead they use basic TFT style cutscene
    still advertising 2018style cutscenes on their sales page
    removed the announced UI rework
    still advertising the UI rework
    audio got shafted through new localisation - german voices are now hilariously bad    … Expand

    Just a complete and total garbage cash grab. They lied about many of the features and then took many away. Telling players their custom creations will be the company's is just a shady practice. Warcraft 3 reforged should just bury itself a hole and climb in to die. Any positive reviews are most likely the game developers trying to bilge their sinking ship while their all ready under water.

    What I am most upset about is that Blizzard has REMOVED the original release that I have owned since it released. Now, I can't play it and have to play this poor quality version that must have only passed approval through the colon. I used to think Blizzard was one of the great companies. But the last few years has made me think other wise.

I mean it, this game was made with minimal effort and the oversight on bugs and polish is glaring. I wish I could say this is surprising to me, though sometimes you have to see the mess for yourself to believe it.

    Blizzard has a paragraph in the user agreement for this game that they have exclusive rights to any custom game which is made in this game. Just unbelievably **** from one of the companies who used to be my #1 by miles. This game does not deliver on what it promises and I am not even going to start on the price (40$) on what is essentially a HD mod.

    Unfortunately it is what ive come to expect from Blizzard at this point they violated the trust me as a player put into them as a game developing company over and over again. looking at warcraft 3 reforged comes down to - you payed for warcraft 3 which is now gone thanks for stealing the game ive payed for away from me - the new warcraft 3 reforged is not the old one maps mission story isUnfortunately it is what ive come to expect from Blizzard at this point they violated the trust me as a player put into them as a game developing company over and over again. looking at warcraft 3 reforged comes down to - you payed for warcraft 3 which is now gone thanks for stealing the game ive payed for away from me - the new warcraft 3 reforged is not the old one maps mission story is changed so it is a new game as such. even tho it is running and i cant confirm any fps issues like some others have my machine being pretty strong thats might be the case here. modding is not available its close to being forbidden to actually do. the terms of use were changed without consent of the customer as such they are not valid and could be contested in court. since blizzard is activly banning people for helping each other out in forums how to get a refund for promises made on blizzcon not beeing delivered and keeping those promises up on their selling webpage up to this day promising non existent features i consider this fraut. be warned to give money to this company. im sorry and disapointed what a once great game developer company can descent into. they might have their reason that might even force their hands here and there but they defenatly lost the trust we put into them long ago and this incident is just another nail in the coffin for blizzard. i have to constrain myself to be objective and not to start raging in this review but you can trust me when i tell you if i would have a shorter travel time to the developer i definitely would visit them at their home and confront them personaly. im not talking violence or something but i would demand answers about what they are thinking pulling stunts like that on their customer on the people who put the roof over their heads and food on their table and they treat us like dirt. this far and no further ...… Expand

    Bought the Delux Eidition first thing in the morning after waiting for decades and playing WCIII constantly over the years (Shout out to Grubby whos videos are constantly pushed into my YouTube recommendations!) and now this... Got into the campaign the graphics look awkward and the portrait animations are just horrible. Classic was more fluid. FPS drops, couldn't accept the first quest...Bought the Delux Eidition first thing in the morning after waiting for decades and playing WCIII constantly over the years (Shout out to Grubby whos videos are constantly pushed into my YouTube recommendations!) and now this... Got into the campaign the graphics look awkward and the portrait animations are just horrible. Classic was more fluid. FPS drops, couldn't accept the first quest... bandit leader was invulnerable and therfore couldnt even finish the FIRST MISSION! After tabbing out of the game the sound died. Refunded the game within 15 minutes flat. **** YOU ACTIVISION!!!!!

    Sad, self-degraded. It's been almost 20 years since the snowstorm broke, and this situation has deteriorated. Here, the players resist the unscrupulous manufacturers together. The craftsmen who had the ideal and willingness to struggle in Blizzard now have gone. Shareholders, I even think EA is better than Blizzard. Now, it ’s extremely sad.

    Hello there. I'm an old veteran from Warcraft III. I played it a lot back in the day and I was what we called back then a map maker. I was part of the map making community and made maps which become popular such as Titan Land. In today's language, maps are considered "mods", although it doesn't feel right to me to call them as such. Basically, Warcraft III comes with a tool that allows you to create your own scenarios with the game's assets. This allows you to create all sorts of things: Melee maps for normal games or special scenario which thanks to the power of the tool can amount to ANYTHING. You really can do ANYTHING with this tool and more importantly, you can share it and play with EVERYONE. If Warcraft III is known for something, it's that. The online feature of Warcraft III called BattleNet allows you to play with anyone worldwide, and the map making community brought forth so many fun maps to play, so many of them throughout the years. Some of them are rather simple. But some of them are immense projects made by multiple people, creating their own assets in the forms of model, modifying the game so much sometimes it scarcely looks like Warcraft III. A lot of blood and sweat went into those projects. My own map Titan Land was something I worked on for at least a few years. Websites such as the hiveworkshop cropped up in order to build a community of map maker that would share their projects to the world and help one another. On there I uploaded my map Titan Land, kept it up to date to the point where I had to leave the community because I could no longer put so much of my time on Warcraft III. I openly stated that I would stop development of my map and let anyone who felt like it pick it up. And the community turned my map into something else, something beautiful. A proper roleplaying map. I was proud of it when I came back few moths later to see what had become of it, I knew it was in good hand.

    Why I made you read all this? Simply to tell you that the map making community is beautiful. It's one of the less toxic environment (if at all) I've ever been in ever. We help one another, we're welcoming and we encourage you to make the best maps you can for the sake of the players who will play them. But in Reforged... that community is in jeopardy. I remind you that custom games is the beating heart of Warcraft III. Without a strong map making community, no amazing new project will be hosted onto the custom games of BattleNet and it will become stale. It's from the map making community that the extremely popular map DotA was born. The popularity of DotA (to the map making community's dismay at the time) was so strong that about 80% of the games hosted on the custom games were EASILY a version of that map. DotA was so popular, that people bought the game solely for playing that map. Tournament were hosted for that map. A community of its own was born around that map. In the end, we also know that the map was to become its very own game with the birth of DotA 2. and that seems to have bothered Blizzard a bit. So much so that Reforged made the biggest mistake it could have done regarding that...

    When reforged was announced, I went back to Warcraft III, opened the old editor which I loved so much and began making a project in expectation of Reforged's release. I was really hyped up. When Reforged released I was unfortunately nowhere near done with my project. I eagerly opened the new editor to continue my project and noticed that there was a new EULA (End User License Agreement). I'm actually the kind of person who read those. My expression which was happy and hyped up turned to ash as I read that license. The wording was, to put it bluntly, evil. A map maker who used that tool forfeits all rights of ownership to Blizzard and risks having the project removed or taken away from him/her at the discretion of Blizzard and can suffer "disciplinary actions" if they do not comply...

    This sent a shock throughout the map making community. Worst still, the old editor is no longer accessible despite the maps being forward compatible. There is no telling how the community will deal with that. Personally, I stopped developing in utter disgust. Due to the restriction on third party material, some of the most creative projects have also stopped. The disappearance of custom campaigns (mods which allows multiple custom maps to be played in succession in a campaign style) also killed those projects.

    If this is how Blizzard treat us, never again, will I purchase a Blizzard product.    … Expand

    This game is broken and doesn't give you a better gaming experience than the original, it feels and looks old.
    Before this release i was hoping for a Diablo II Reforged/Remaster, but now...not so much.

    What a terrible remake. Just looking at the in-game cinematics shows that there was no art director. The fight between Arthas and Illidan looked liked it was made by a single guy in SFM in his spare time while jacking off to low res 90s hentai. Shame on you blizzard

    I had friends that had pre-purchased this game and tried getting me to join them. In retrospect, I am so glad I didn't. After DayZ, I learned a hard lesson about paying for a game that has not been fully released. After hearing    I want to begin by stating that I, thankfully, did not purchase this game but I did want to voice my feedback in regards to Blizzard's shady business practice.

    I had friends that had pre-purchased this game and tried getting me to join them. In retrospect, I am so glad I didn't. After DayZ, I learned a hard lesson about paying for a game that has not been fully released. After hearing about how Blizzard has been refusing refunds to people that have pre-ordered, it appears that I made the correct choice.

    I am very disappointed to see how they have digressed to such a money hungry company. Blizzard has forgotten that satisfying the customer through a quality product is the primary way to get and keep business, not this shady practice of selling a half baked game and refusing refunds.

    I have payed for and played every game that Blizzard has made until now. I have even uninstalled the battle.net client even though I had started getting into StarCraft 2 again out of sheer disgust due to how this whole thing has been handled.

    I would always speculate with friends as to what company would be the next "Blizzard Killer." As it turns out, they have actually been their own undoing. The power corrupted their souls, just like Arthas...

    Рефорджет, так много букв и так много боли, я ждала эту игру с близкона.
    Это была моя первая игра, за которую я вернула деньги, сейчас мне 23, и я играла в него последние 15 лет. То что я купила, не было на неё похоже, мой комп перегревался, а фпс падали до 15, слава богу это только в самом начале, когда людей нужно завлекать в продукт, ага. Низкое качество графики и отсутствие теней,    Рефорджет, так много букв и так много боли, я ждала эту игру с близкона.
    Это была моя первая игра, за которую я вернула деньги, сейчас мне 23, и я играла в него последние 15 лет.     ПС. Конечно о покойном говорят, только хорошее, но это не тот случай, игра ужасна

    Ever since blizzard has acquired activation their qualities of games sunk down the hell and it’s unfixable. I was so pumped to preorder the WC3 reforged and wanted to play with friends like back in the old days but what I’ve got is worse than the original game that we spent thousands of hours on. Keeps crashing and what blizzard had promised in 2018 was no where found. Garbage.     I've been a fan since warcraft started. I'm so disappointed I can't Express how bad this is.
    When the reveal trailer released for reforeged I was beyond excited. I had been wanting blizzard to remaster warcraft III for years. But when it came out I was beyond shocked at the games visuals and performance .     Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
