    It's wholly disappointing. I can't believe how low they have gone.
    I can only imagine how bad the people that actually worked on the game must feel.

    Really is a shame how game companies keep taking advantage of loyal customers. Just play the original "baddie sailor" version i'm sure many still got around somewhere.

    Got it, played it.
    Did not deliver what was shown and lots of functions are deleted from the warcraft 3 nonremaster.
    Might have been too rushed to be honest.
    Hopefully future update will fix that.

    Blatant false advertising. Blizzard has scrapped the old WC3, there is no longer any way to play it. Oh you don't wanna pay for our new **** HD reskin? Get **** customers.

    A serious review must not rate the complete game, but what has improved over the "Warcraft 3 Classic" Game in version 1.31.

    And as a matter of fact: The grapich is more detailed - which comes with massive performancy issues. Core values of the 2003 Release have been removed though.     The worst crime of all:

    Blizzard was a company that always was generous enough to keep the old Battlenet Realms up, and their absolutely top-tier Games like Diablo 2 and WC3 functioning for online Play/Chat/community.
    But this has changed.
    WC3:R has only one true competitor in the market. And it's Warcraft 3/The Frozen Throne expansion.
    So effective with the launch the download-installer of the classic games, or a patch of the CD-Version will automatically download the "WC3:Reforge" Client, with all the drawbacks, the disk space requirements and new EULAs to sign.

    They managed the performance to not only make a game worst than original but to retroactively ruin the ORIGINAL GAME.
    I wish I could still ask for a Chargeback from Visa. If you can still call your banks :D

    Lets be honest this game doesn't deserve a 0 even if Blizzard made a dumpster fire out of it the campaing is still the same loved campaign as in w3 however even the campaign has a few Bugs with Sound and graphics. Also it happens sometimes you cant even Launch a Mission because you get an instant Defeat Screen.     They Promise us an absolute improvement and overhaul in the game, none of the Promise are accomplished. Yes there´s a remaster, but not in the way they promised, FPS problems, no cinematic in the way they promised, same problems with the old game, some footage and cinematic where not remastered at all, re usage of images and characters that some times makes you feel that there's .     The movie, much better than this. One of the best game of my childhood, complete destroy but: Bugs, bad graphics, terrible online experience, bad offline experience and killing the costumes maps system (among other reasons). Even more, no refund and banning people from blizzard forums. Shame on you, blizzard, my formally favourite video game company.

    This is the only game, that runs such poor graphics, that somehow has the capability to tax my PC into oblivion. I had to uninstall, reinstall, and then wipe my whole computer to factory settings after the game crashed my HDD. This is rediculous, not recommending this game to anyone.

    I love the new graphics but the fact that the cutscenes aren't redone is ridiculous. All I wanted to do was replay the campaign without the graphics freaking out and things like that band when I saw the new character models and the new opening cutscene I thought this was going to be amazing. And I found out, and this is less on Blizzards part but they decided not to add new cutscenes and to make the game fit better in the lore by working with Christie Golden which is so disappointing they would give in to the "fans" of the game when Christie is by far the best writer for the Warcraft series, books or games, and it was have been amazing to see new things added.… Expand

    2002 original is better than reforged one. It doesn't restrict custom games. Animation is 30fps not like 2020 game.

    Absolute let down of a legendary game ! Blizzard fooled us :( This Reforge version is just a SCAM for profit. Bugs and optimization drops everywere !
    50% of the promised features are missing, 20% of others features didn't work at all.
    Original w3 client desapear, replaced by this crappy 2020 functionless version.

Why were we promised new cutscenes and voice actors when you literally failed to deliver on EVERY SINGLE ONE?!
    Blizzard- AT THE VERY LEAST work on your public relations. I am SUPER wary about everything now. I was planning on preordering Shadowlands and OW2, but now, I'm not so sure about that. You need to have someone who will write your speeches, who can go over what to talk about at blizzcon and what not to. How to appropriately present ideas to the public without lying.

    It really hurts what Blizzard has become these days.. especially when you grew up with Blizzard Products. I expressively distance myself from this company in its current state. Warcraft 3 Reforged is propably one of the biggest scams in gaming history.. They not only delivered a completly unplayable game but also killed the old warcraft 3 since they forced a downgrade upon us..

    With all the things Blizzard activation pulled, mobile game, call of duty, stop e-sport. Now, one of the greatest game of gaming history. All the promises, they can just ignore like nothing.

    I still own the original on battlenet.... what was the point of this ‘update’ it actually plays better as it was and is way more nostalgic with oringnal graphics, the lies of Blizzcon will haunt this release until it’s pulled.

    Menu is bad, too many good features got removed, fps is just awful, cutscenes we saw back in 2018 are non existent, Character models and in general remastered enemy models etc are just slightly better and not worth the price we paid for. Heck old Warcraft III was better, but we no longer have access to it. As of now ive uninstalled every Blizzard game and their launcer and im not going back.

    Blizzard Support refuses to refund the game and mutes or bans people on the forums who tell people how to properly get refunded. I was lucky and i got my refund atleast.

    Honestly im highly concerned about Diablo 4 after seeing W3:Reforged.
    Wont buy it until i see reviews.

    The only redeeming thing about this game are the new models and even those were outsourced to a third party company. Activision-Blizzard should have outsourced the whole game to a capable third party developer studio, instead of dropping it onto interns to cut costs. There is no way any senior developer did anything else than provide consultation to juniors.

There is problems connecting to a game, where it keep auto kicking and then the game decides you are offline. I play FPS games online on my PC and they run fine, so I know for a fact my internet connection is not the issue, plus it seems like dozens of people in the lobby were experiencing the same problem. Overall I feel sorry to have paid for this game. I used to think Blizzard means polished games but this just feels a bad rip off of WC3 and Frozen Throne.… Expand

    Gone are the days where blizzard stood for quality and polish, now it stands for misleading costumers and anti consumer behaviour.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I never even purchased the game and I literally feel violated. I still enjoy Warcraft 3 from time to time even to this day and have been playing since its first year of release. I launched my war3.exe like I normally do, saw an update and thought, sure no problem I'll wait. THIS WAS A BIG MISTAKE. I had no idea Reforged release was actually going to entirely compromise existing game directory. Not only this, but I kept war3 on a smaller spare SSD, the update didn't even check free space and proceeded to wedge the drive forcing a reinstall. This is not just an update, even if it works, the old game client is literally now deprecated. Another way to word this: selecting update changes your game entirely, you are auto opted-in to battle.net / Reforged. No, they couldn't just leave it alone and release a separate game rebuilt in a new and/or better engine. This is worse than a really bad 2nd to a great original movie.
    I will be reinstalling offline from original CDs and/or installers saved from 2015.    … Expand

Now that the official launch has graced us, we know that Reforged was just an embittered move to keep an opportunity like Dota within their grasp. Original Blizzard would have been proud to have fostered a development that added to the culture of gaming, Activision cringes on their bed of money.

    Messing up reforged is one thing. Going the extra mile to force override the old textures in the fan favorite original game is totally unnecessary and destroyed an amazing game. What were they even thinking?

Hereby I put 0 score to Blizzard and not to the Warcraft 3 itself. The game is awesome as it was 10 year's ago.     Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
