    I bought this game expecting gold, and I got **** The editor is just so insanely restricting, it is almost killing my creativity. I set out to remake some of my creations on Warcraft 3 the original, and it just stopped. I am really dissapointed.

    This? This is what we have been waiting for and spent money on? Where are the new cutscene and campaigns? Where are the new features? This isnt a remake - it's a reskin! Outsourced 4K models slapped on an ancient engine. With less features than the original game! This is a cash grab and nothing less.

People form attachments to these games. They are linked to fond memories, nostalgia, escapism, joy and friendship. If you continually take advantage of this loyalty and tarnish these loyal consumers memories, experiences and passion, you risk the pushback you are currently receiving. Blizzard saw that there is still a healthy community playing WC3 RTS and realized that they were not making money off that community. So under umbrella of "reforged" the released the same game, with new skins, however changed EULA. EULA that willpeople really thought that blizzard wanted to reforge WC3 for fans to enjoy? i said it on forums for half a year already and will repeat again. Blizzard saw that there is still a healthy community playing WC3 RTS and realized that they were not making money off that community. So under umbrella of "reforged" the released the same game, with new skins, however changed EULA. EULA that will privatize all the creativity of the fans for Blizzard. Than they will add a cash shop and will start selling skins for heroes and units. The initial price tag on "reforged". Lastly, the always Online mod, where people wont be able to play cracked version of the game around the world (new trend, cause games still get cracked and only way to secure them is the "always online").     1) bad graphic on max settings. StarCraft II and Heroes of the Storm look much better
    2) no new cutscenes
    3) bugged animations from 2002

    The only thing that I liked was unique character models, but not with such graphics.

    Blizzard used to be the hero that supported its players but judging by this they've become the one who preys on its players even to the point they destroyed one of its true classics that made them so great for no reason. Massively disappointing as a whole and lost my respect that they even allowed this to be release in its state..

    With the release of the much anticipated remaster of Warcraft 3, not only were fans disappointed because of the blatantly false advertising of the features in the trailers, but the original game was permanently ruined by the merging of the 2 versions, which removed features such as shadows, LAN support and Battle.net integration.

    And also, apparentely the reason the Main Menu is so laggy, is because it's not an actual game menu, it's a chrome browser that's running a local website on your screen. The more you know.     As a long time fan of the IP, you can imagine my disappointment with what blizzard has become. It’s sad to see such a beloved company take this turn for nothing but what they think is profit. Fans built this company from the ground up and when they got tired of milking us and wanted to milk their Chinese overlords, they took for granted everything the fans have done.

It is NOT a new game. Imagine spending $30 on skins for your characters in StarCraft 2 or Heroes of the Storm (which I have probably spent over the years when a cool new skin I like is released). I have been watching this game closely ever since they announced it. I played the beta. Now that the campaign has officially dropped I have played through most of it and.... I'll probably just to back to playing the original WC3 ROC and TFT. There are tons of bugs and glitches. Most distressing is that tons of content that was promised and still listed in the marketing hasn't been delivered and probably won't. I was most excited about new cinematic cut scenes. Those were always my favorite part of these games because it felt like such a reward to complete a big section of the campaign and get a nice little cinematic. But that promise (among many others) was not delivered and all we got was the same cut scenes re-scaled. I try to justify this game being what it is because, lets be fair, its $30. Most AAA game titles that are released come at a $60 price tag. So if this was going to be a full-fledged NEW game with all the stuff that was promised (new voice acting, updated UI, changes to the campaign to match lore, being able to switch between Classic and Reforged, etc, etc) then perhaps a $60 price tag would be justified to re-coup the cost of all that content they had ambitions to include? Perhaps trying to hit a price point of $30 they just didn't have the budget to overhaul that much? I am just speculating because I can't imagine why a company with such a reputation as Blizzard would fail to deliver on so much of what was promised in this game. I have been a huge supporter of Blizzard ever since WC2 Tides of Darkness and StarCraft Brood War. This is the biggest disappointment from a loyal fan for over 20 years.… Expand

    Absolute bait and switch from what they showed at blizzcon. The HD/remastered cut scenes shown at blizzcon was just a gimmick to get people excited and pre order. So much has been gutted from W3 and we no longer have the option to play the original game. What is really sad is W3 is Blizzards flagship and its like they don't really care about the quality as long as they make the mighty dollar.

    Haven't bought this version, BUT Battle.net launcher FORCES you to download this (29 gb), even tho you didn't asked for this. So I can't play the original game right now, because I don't want to download this abomination. And the worst part about it: Blizzard would be just fine with all that CoD sales numbers. But they must be sued, because of a quality of an end product

    The OG Warcraft 3 got pretty much shut down, so not only do we have a buggy mess that broke many promises that Blizzard made, but we cannot even properly play the Original anymore (at least, legitimately). They rushed this so much, that some things from Warcraft 3 BETA are still leftover in the Settings!     Blizzard took a all time classic that people still played, and ruined it with an “update” which removed/banned most of the best custom games.
    They also have destroyed any incentive for map/mod makers to work on Warcraft 3 because now all mod/map intellectual rights go to blizzard, not the person doing the work. Ridiculous and a horrible precedent that a company in the process of remaking a    Blizzard took a all time classic that people still played, and ruined it with an “update” which removed/banned most of the best custom games.

    I haven't tried this yet: I owned the old game but couldn't find the serial code. There is no option to buy the old version, so in order to play with my family again we'd all have to get the new version. Blizzard wanted to make money, and they removed the old games from the store when Reforged wasn't even finished yet so people would have to pay $40 for an old game.

    I cant play the original Warcraft 3. Instead I have to play the new one with all of its bad systems. Many of the custom game modes have been removed because of the new TOS. The cutscenes look choppy and like they are playing at 20fps. Even the new models don't look that great. On top of FPS issues. Issues joining a game. Things which are not as advertised. No UI changes. Everything thatI cant play the original Warcraft 3. Instead I have to play the new one with all of its bad systems.     Downgrade from the original game in virtually every aspect. The UI is worse, multiplayer infrastructure is far worse than the original bnet, it has a bunch of technical issues which the original never had, it was essentially a disfunctional, broken mess upon release. The cutscenes are even far less dramatic, even though Blizzard advertised this game with highly cinematic cutscenes thatDowngrade from the original game in virtually every aspect. The UI is worse, multiplayer infrastructure is far worse than the original bnet, it has a bunch of technical issues which the original never had, it was essentially a disfunctional, broken mess upon release. The cutscenes are even far less dramatic, even though Blizzard advertised this game with highly cinematic cutscenes that were effectively cut out completely upon release. Even the graphics is much worse imo. They look more modern, the fidelity is higher, but they did away with the iconic, somewhat comicy aesthetics which gave Warcraft it's original art design. A lot of them also just look silly and ridiculous, King Arthas looks more like a middle aged alcoholic bum now than a crowned prince turned evil. So even there Blizzard disappoint. It's hilariously absurd how a AAA producer manages to downgrade a game after 15 years or so, Blizzard have a lot of nerve calling this a Remaster, even better: Reforged. In truth, this might just be the worst Remaster ever made.… Expand

    I got banned for refund also. I can’t post my true feelings because metacritic will not allow it, in blizzards pocket. I’d rather get the coronavirus then play another blizzard game again.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
