    Warcraft III was a great game. It had been abandoned for years. And then in 2018 Blizzard decided they hated their fans. Why? Because their fans went elsewhere to play DotA. But why did that happen? Simple. Blizzard told Icefrog to go away. Stop bothering them about the bugs in THEIR engine he had found.    This is not a brigade.     Warcraft III was a great game. It had been abandoned for years. And then in 2018 Blizzard decided they hated their fans. Why? Because their fans went elsewhere to play DotA. But why did that happen? Simple. Blizzard told Icefrog to go away. Stop bothering them about the bugs in THEIR engine he had found. Stop bothering them about how he wanted to push the limits of their game. He would even help them, for free. But they wouldn't give him the time of day. So he went elsewhere.

    And thus they felt like they had to take it out on those Warcraft 3 Classic fans. The very ones who had bought The Frozen Throne years prior were now in the crosshairs. Gone were the years and years of ignoring Warcraft 3. Now it had to be DESTROYED.

    And so they have. Forced updates from classic warcraft 3? Check. Now there will be no battle.net for classic warcraft 3. They have to suffer the NEGATIVE game that is reforged. All their features have been taken AWAY. And replaced by nothing but a graphics mod? Those mods existed in classic, by the way.

    They've done it. They've finally punished us for their distaste of Dota / Icefrog. They've finally killed Warcraft, just like they did to Diablo (Starcraft II barely survived).    … Expand

    Not only that, I'm experiencing getting a 30 GB or whatever download forced onto my hard drive, which according to rumors contains Reforged assets I can't even use as    I might as well throw in my two cents.     They cut a lot of stuff from the OG, and just upscaled cutscenes, and f*up a lot of other stuf, also F U EULA now most of the fun CG's will die cus of it.

    Warcraft 3 is amazing. Reforged doesn't improve on anything, adds lots of bugs and crashes, and removes features from the original game.

    As a refuge from Bethesda and all the **** they've tried to pull on me over the past 2+ years, I can honestly say the now even tod the god would have thought of running a game that was released in 2002. (but believe me, he's taking notes)

    Pretty all around dissapointing. The whole sign away the rights to anything you make in the map editor is pretty messed up. Most of my favorite memories of the original game were focused on all those crazy custom maps.

    Worst experience i've had with blizzard so far. I tried to appeal for a refund and got banned from the forums after asking for it. I wanted to give them the opportunity of the doubt with all the drama km the company but its truly sad they just care for the money. Not buying again.

    The game is ridden with seemingly downgraded graphics, missing assets, shoddy animations, countless bugs, facets of multiplayer not working correctly, recycled cinematics, sketchy performance, and the absence of a UI refresh among other promised features.

    Incredibly disappointed with the broken promises, false marketing, and the fact that they patched the ORIGINAL 2002 version to have all the flaws that Reforged has. Warcraft 3 is dead.

    Truly disappointed with this game. The game isn't delivering half of what was shown on the trailers, and it feels incomplete and buggy. The worse part is that it broke Classic by removing a lot of neat stuff. I don't know if the execs dropped the ball, but whomever designed this game is not a REAL Warcraft fan.

    What hasnt been said about this game thats left to say? A well known game was remade, remarketed, and eventually released in a ruined state. Lets hope that Blizzard does a better job with Diablo 4 and doesnt bow down to its Activision overlords when that title ships like they did with this one.

    Reforged doesnt give me that at all. Multiplayer has bugs and choppy gameplay. The graphics seem worse than before. and the new Battle net lobby has no stats, clans, or competitive ladder.     I was very much looking forward to the "remaster". While the game looks "better", its a far cry from what Blizzard had showed and advertised. It is a remaster in all but technicality and it is just plain disappointing.

    Blizzard stopped making games since the release of Legion. Name 1. Warlords of Azeroth was an impossible grind, despite the lack of content. WoW classic wasn't the release of a new game and apparently neither was Warcraft.

    Having played the classic WC3, I can say with absolute certainty that this game is not worth your money. All you're paying for are new models and textures, so if you have your old CD keys, stay away and download the Public Test or older versions.

Warcraft III: Reforged retains the gameplay of the original, but its development has spurred on balance changes to the game's multiplayer. These changes are also present in the original version of the game. Players from both versions are able to play with each other.     Very disapointed with the final product.

    - No new UI
    - No new cutscenes (just the old ones rescaled)
    - Lots of old features missing

    How do you take a masterpiece from 18 years ago and succeed in making it worse? Blizzard is not even the shadow of what they used to be and it shows. From World of Warcraft to Diablo To Overwatch and now this, there is simply no quality left in their games. Don't fall into their cash grab, please.

    - New voicepack (russian) WHICH IS HORRIBLE compared to original.
    - The old CLASSIC is just some lifeless soulless puppet, which is killed and strung along the travesty which is reforged.

    As someone who didn’t necessarily grow up with the original, but was a fan of the original, this is just sad. A blatant rip off of such a beloved game. The last time I played Warcraft 3 was quite some time ago but I instantly recognized those cut scenes as the originals. The UI is just as clunky as it was back then, and it breaks my heart to see the once great blizzard now fallen.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
