    Yeees, so many hopes for this game , and then ..... so many minuses, don't know where to start even
    - R.I.P Custom Games (bcs you greedy goblins are so desperate that some modmakers will do a map that will surpass this *** of a joke called Warcraft 3 : Reforged. (So you just basicaly said to all mapmapers - if they are doing anything good, you will take it... - then don't expect any good    Yeees, so many hopes for this game , and then ..... so many minuses, don't know where to start even

    This is just bad no custom campaign support. Blizzards owns anything you make in map editor. No ladder or guilds on battle net and no cross region matches. These are all features of original game...

    I wish I could say this is the only mess up blizzard has done lately sadly its just the final nail in Blizzards coffin...

    Warcraft 3 has always been one of my top 3 most favourite games since I was a kid. I've played THOUSANDS of hours of Wc3. I supported Wc3 Reforged, excited for the new graphics, the awesome updates, the new cutscenes, and all the other promised features.

    Where do I even start with this steaming pile of trash? From the beginning I suppose...

    In 2002 and 2003, Blizzard Entertainment released one of the greatest RTS's and greatest games ever made: Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos and Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne. This game revolutionized and standardized RTS games, had an amazing matchmaking system, a kick-ass campaign, an amazing custom game    Where do I even start with this steaming pile of trash? From the beginning I suppose...

    In 2002 and 2003, Blizzard Entertainment released one of the greatest RTS's and greatest games ever made: Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos and Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne. This game revolutionized and standardized RTS games, had an amazing matchmaking system, a kick-ass campaign, an amazing custom game modding community, charming graphics, great voice acting, and a pleasing soundtrack. These two masterpieces launched the MOBA games DOTA and League of Legends, among others. The interest in these games was so massive that it spawned and continued the lore with World of Warcraft, which was and still is the most successfully MMORPG of all time. Warcraft 3 continued to have a tight-knit passionate fanbase of players to this day who would play 1v1s and team games or replay the campaign every year, just because it was that good of a story and so nostalgic.

    So what went wrong? Well, Blizzard had 18 years to remaster this game or to create Warcraft 4, which is what fans really wanted. It seems they were a victim of their own success, in that World of Warcraft was such a cash cow that they continued milking it until it was a withered husk of a game (See: Battle for Azeroth). They only began development of Warcraft 3: Reforged 2 years ago (allegedly) and released it 1 month behind schedule. And for what we got out of this game, it's embarrassing

    Blizzard (now Blizzard-Activision, HUGE difference) claims that this game has:
    -Visuals rebuilt from the ground up
    -Over 4 hours of reforged cutscenes
    -Limitless custom games to explore
    -Updated UI and rebalanced gameplay
    -Modern Blizzard Battle.net features

    What we got was:
    -Visuals that look like they were created by overworked interns from 2010 in some foreign development company in India
    -No reforged cutscenes, only the exact same cutscenes with "updated" graphics
    -Custom games that are legally owned by Blizzard
    -The same exact UI from 2002 and a few MINOR changes to gameplay with no new units, no new heroes, no new buildings, no new maps
    -Battle.net 2.0, which takes away profile stats, animated profile pictures, online connectivity, clans, player community, and a lot more things that other reviewers have detailed much better than I can

    Bonus "features":
    -Incredibly amount of lag, even on high-end system, even in 1v1 custom matches against a bot
    -No new campaigns
    -No new cutscenes
    -No new music
    -No new voice actors (would love to have the option to choose between old and new voice actors)
    -COMPLETE lack of polish - for god's sake the multiplayer chat doesn't even scroll down automatically when a new message is received
    -"updated" graphics that somehow look worse than the original and lack its charm. Either go with the charm of the old art style or update it completely to WoW style, don't do some half-ass attempt to merge the two

    Overall, this "game" was an attempt to cash in on people who have a love and huge amount of nostalgia for the old games. It was the absolute laziest attempt I have ever seen to "remaster" a game that I have ever seen in my 29 years of life and Blizzard and the people who worked on this should be absolutely ashamed. Not only did they not make remaster the game in an acceptable way, they completely destroyed the old game by not allowing normal Warcraft 3 players (the old game) to log into old Battle.net and use the features from that.

    So bravo, Blizzard (really Blizzard-Activision as Blizzard doesn't exist anymore). You managed to not only make a bad game, but to completely butcher and destroy the original. This was literally worse than the finale of Game of Thrones. Thanks for destroying the last bit of goodwill you had with the community of players you amassed making the actual good games of the 2000s and 90s. Adieu, Blizzard.    … Expand

    - Blizzard say - Backward compatibility with original WC3. What we got - old models in the tuned engine. No way to play original WC3. So basically even if you will switch to the "old" version you still gonna use buggy revamped tech under the hood.
    - Blizzard say - Battle.net, Ladder, Custom Games, Multiplayer. What we got - no ladder, awful multiplayer (try to play FFA, meh). Problems with custom games. New custom games 'terms and conditions'
    - Blizzard say - Hej, you will get "new" cinematics, revamped campaign, cutscenes. What we got - you know guys... you know... nothing. And the worst part Blizzard is trying to BLAME community. They say "Community don't want new custcenes, don't want changes in the campaign...". Come on, Blizz... Lazy... Lazy boy Bobby...
    - The same with models, textures, art design.
    - Forget about cyber-sport.
    - New UI? Meh. Lags in the UI everywhere. Don't expect anything even close to things that you seen on the Blizzcon demo.Blizzard... They gave me hope ... And they took it on one moment.

Хотели продать ту же игру, только с обновлёнными модельками(Кстати сделанными на коленках за 20 рублей), тошнотной озвучкой, которая даже близко не стояла с озвучкой 2002 года и ужасной оптимизацией, за 1300 рублей. Лучше играйте в оригинал 2002 года, для игры по сети есть куча разных прог, типо гарены. А модельки можете сами модами накачать,Очередная попытка по быстрому срубить денег.     Reforged was supposed to be an HD graphics overhaul that was laid on top of the existing game allowing for those using the original version to play alongside the new. They removed features that had been in the game for 17 years and altered the way the game plays (units don't path properly, terrain blocks movements that didn't use to).     No profiles, UI is terribly designed, no statistics, no single player/offline custom games. Forced "update" onto classic users. By all measures other than graphic fidelity this game is a complete dumpster fire.

    I waited for a long time in anticipation for a game I loved playing to come back updated many years later.
    Then Warcraft 3 Reforged happened and it reminded me why Blizzard, Activision, EA, and Epic are all **** companies now a days.

    Since games became a large part of society now of course corporate green played a role in all the bad things that have happened

    Out already and it breaks even the original game. Not only that, the new Blizzard's Eula, prevents the use of the map creations, as they can officially steal your ideas. Thankfully they were too late to steal DOTA.

    This is an absolute Mess, I can't play the game nor go back to play the original Warcraft 3, they made it so you can only play this reforged version which is broken, If you Support Blizzard its the same as wanting to get fked and robbed. We should have quit when Diablo Immortal was announced, should have quit when they chose China over their players, this is the last straw Im fking out

    Typically people say "If it's not broken don't fix it" Well...Blizzard decided to "It's not broken but we're going to tell people we're going to improve it while breaking it at the same time." GJ Blizzard. I loved the games you released throughout my childhood, You just joined EA, Ubisoft, and Bethesda on everyone's **** list.

Если рассматривать это не как переиздание старой игры, а как отдельную игру, то может и на 6/10 потянет, игра сама по себе хорошая. Но это просто downgrade и причем не бесплатный, а за целых 1300 рублей. I was super hyped, as I loved WarCraft III when it initially released, and the chance to play through the campaign again with a new coat of paint sounded great. If I had no expectations beyond that, I would perhaps give this game a review score of 2 or 3, for the bugs and lackluster product we ended up with.

    However, Blizzard    I preordered this when it was announced at Blizzcon 2018. If I had no expectations beyond that, I would perhaps give this game a review score of 2 or 3, for the bugs and lackluster product we ended up with.

    However, Blizzard did more than drop the ball here. They promised features, showed us a trailer of what we could expect, and left that trailer on the product site even to the time of the writing of this review. That trailer did NOT show anything that was in the game. In fact, the same in-game cutscene from that trailer is not only nowhere near the quality, it even had music cut. Furthermore, the client is terribly buggy, with black screen lockouts, dropped audio, and bizarre menu lag.

    Beyond that, Blizzard has introduced a draconian new policy regarding custom creation in the map editor, placing a claim of ownership to the work of community members, even to the point of not having to credit creators for their work if they claim it as their own.

    Finally, the release of this client was also foisted upon the WC3 classic players, importing a much larger client with a lot of new bugs and performance issues into a 17-year-old CLASSIC of a game.

    Between the false advertisement, the quiet (and massive) scaling back of promised features, the horrible corporate-minded policy changes, and the destruction of the original game, this game is more than a disappointment. It's an unmitigated disaster. It doesn't deserve to be ON a 10-point scale, as it isn't just a disappointing game--it also gutted a wonderful, long-beloved game.

    Blizzard, how far you have fallen. You are no longer the company I spent decades with. You are no longer a development studio who is trustworthy or dependable. You've become another EA, and that's just devastating.

    The only redeeming quality of this game is that it was bad enough that I was one of the lucky few to get a refund before giving it too much of a chance.

    I truly hope that Blizzard recalls this "game" and gives it the redevelopment that it deserves. I truly hope that in a year or more, I will be able to justifiably purchase this game because it is a worthy revival of the game I loved for so many years. But I'll certainly be waiting to see the RELEASED product before making a decision to buy from here on out. I recommend that you do the same when it comes to modern Blizzard, reader.    … Expand

    It gets a 0 from me, a long time Blizzard and Warcraft fan who was very excited about Reforged and preordered it for myself and a few close friends the moment it was announced, for the following reasons:

    - Visually, it is a *downgrade* for a nearly 20 year old game. Original WC3 has an incredible quality to it, with a very consistent art style across the game. Reforged does not. It simply does not look like a Blizzard game at all, and it lacks the hallmarks of Blizzard's famous polish -- high detail, smooth animations, consistent art style. Instead, it looks like a generic, forgettable, low-budget project by a no-name studio, released around 2012-2014.
    None of the issues that became apparent in the beta were fixed in the last few months as we had hoped they would.

    - The new online play mode is a massive downgrade over the user experience we had since Reign of Chaos release. LAN functionality is removed (even from the "classic" client).

    - The promise of crossplay between the old and new clients were a lie. You don't get to play real WC3 anymore. Which makes me question what was the point of all the breaking changes to the classic client.

    - A massive number of old custom maps were broken in the name of making the classic client compatible with Reforged. Those maps are never coming back, especially because...

    - The new Custom Maps Terms of Service. I'll quote the full paragraph, so you can appreciate the full extent of neo-Blizzard's greed and audacity:

    Custom Games are and shall remain the sole and exclusive property of Blizzard. Without limiting the foregoing, you hereby assign to Blizzard all of your rights, title, and interest in and to all Custom Games, including but not limited to any copyrights in the content of any Custom Games. If for any reason you are prevented or restricted from assigning any rights in the Custom Games to Blizzard, you grant to Blizzard an exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, unconditional, royalty free, irrevocable license enabling Blizzard to fully exploit the Custom Games (or any component thereof) for any purpose and in any manner whatsoever. You further agree that should Blizzard decide that it is necessary, you will execute any future assignments and/or related documents promptly upon receiving such a request from Blizzard in order to effectuate the intent of this paragraph. To the extent you are prohibited from transferring or assigning your moral rights to Blizzard by applicable laws, to the utmost extent legally permitted, you waive any moral rights or similar rights you may have in all such Custom Games, without any remuneration. Without limiting Blizzard’s rights or ownership in the Custom Games, Blizzard reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to remove Custom Games from its systems and/or require that a Custom Game developer cease any and/or all development and distribution of a Custom Game.     TLDR: Blizzard owns the rights to all your work. Why? Because f*** you, that's why.

    This is a "f*** you" to all the people who have kept Warcraft 3 alive for 15 years with their hard and largely unrewarded work, and it kills any chance of the custom map renaissance that we have all hoped to happen with Reforged.
    No one should be making custom games for Reforged, even if this policy gets reversed. Blizzard must be taught a hard lesson in public relations.

    Final verdict:

    Do not buy this game. If you already did, refund it. Sadly, I can't, and it bothers me deeply that I fell for the empty promises and personally enriched the people behind this product.

    If you want to play Warcraft 3, play the real Warcraft 3 -- the one that was made by real Blizzard. You can still buy Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos + The Frozen Throne CDs, download patch 1.26 and experience the game that made millions of people fall in love with Warcraft.    … Expand

    И ничего не надо придумывать или додумывать и верить что мы не знаем всё картины.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
