    I want to love it I just can't.
    Not only is the new client trash, the game buggy, they also removed the great TFT client...

    And that is without talking about the level of greed they implemented with custom games...

    Потратил деньги чтобы зайти в новую игру и переключить ее на старую игру и поиграть в игру которой 15 лет, но за деньги. Отправил заявку на возврат.

    Blizzard now belongs to the bad guys. Serials, they promissory stuff on Blizzcon 2018 and could not even deliver half of what was promoted. In addition they changed the mapmaker TOS, so now every (new) custom map belongs to them.

    As a regular Warcraft 3 player and a fan of custom user maps, I just adore new models and high res textures, they really brought new life into my favorite game. I also appreciated that they didn't change the interface like on blizzcon, it was awful. Reforged is a perfect example of how to adapt old graphics without changing the core gameplay.

    To put it simply, the game is not what was promised or what has been shown off over the past 2 years. The only positive is that the models and textures are an improvement but even they are not consistent with their style due to many of them being outsourced.

    The worst part, in my opinion, is that you can't just go back and play the original/classic Warcraft 3 anymore because it forces you to update to reforged whether you bought it or not. You have to download the full Reforged client which is a little under 30GB, a staggering increase over the original game which is under 5GB. And of course the people who don't purchase it don't have access to the new textures and models but are still forced to download them.
    There are no custom campaigns anymore and also many custom games are broken because of the forced update to the new reforged client, including all versions of Troll & Elves, which is probably my most played custom game. I bought Reforged for the custom games and many of the don't even work.
    Many players are also reporting that when going into the campaign of the game that they are getting an instant defeat screen.

    The game is nothing more than a HD remaster and Blizzard failed to even get that right. Save your money, do not buy this game, especially in its disgusting current state. I strongly believe that partway through development the funding was cut to the point that they barely managed to get the game out, even with a delay of about a month and a half.    … Expand

    Никогда не ставил комменты под играми , но в этот раз просто пригорело , какого лешего обещали одно сделали другое , почему я вижу не живые деревья как на близконе , для меня очень важно видеть живую картинку ! Куча багов захожу в след Мисию меня выкидывает после конца загрузки , помогает только перезапуск игры, в кастомках постоянные вылеты .     This could have been amazing but it feels like they sucked out all of the funding and did the bare minimum to make it pass then released it. A true pity to a beloved game with a community that stuck with it for 18 years. Big oof. Hope this blowback makes them add a lot of updates coming soon to match the original promises they made without any slight of hand.

    For Russian players old voice casting was big part of the game. It was loved by many fans of WarCraft 3. Now its gone after Reforged version. With many bugs i cant rate positive this game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The only things they changed were things I liked. The iconic footmen amd ghoul dying sound, the awesome sunwell match in the campaign.

    Animations look like crap for 2020. Models look like crap for 2020. UI is worse than the old one, as well as being slow and buggy. Chat lags and doesnt scroll correctly for hells sake.

    Literally couldn't get into a custom game with multiple friends...they were randomly disconnected after being in the lobby for a couple seconds at best.

    The cutscene look exactly the same, except for now I get crazy screen tearing.

    I remember when my dad put me in front of the computer for the first time in my life and told me to figure out how to play WC3. It was amazing. I then went back and played the second, and got into Diablo.

    Diablo 3 was bad enough compared to 2. Now they promise me a chance to relive my child hood and deliver a half assed piece of trash. I waited for this game with high hopes and didnt take the online trashing into account. I should have.

    I also just found out they demolished the custom games development community.

    I hope you enjoy losing life long customers Blizz.

Но, господа, ведь это же был скорее концепт, эскиз, о чем было сказано почти сразу. В дальнейшем по мере работы над игрой разработчики сообщали о изменении/корректировке своих планов.     Теперь о моих личных впечатлениях.
    Визуал - отлично, 9 из 10.
    Озвучка - есть недостатки, но в целом неплохо, 8 из 10.
    Катсцены - вполне годные, пусть и несколько уступают первоначально запланированным, 8 из 10.
    Синематики - для 2020 года откровенно слабоваты, выезжают только за счет ностальгии. Тем, кто не играл в оригинальную игру, будут резать глаз. Очень жаль, что Близзард решила сэкономить именно на этом. Все-таки финальный ролик - что-то вроде награды для игрока, пик эмоций и проч. 4 из 10.
    Изменения компаний. Да, да, они таки есть. Я просмотрел пока только часть миссий, и серьезно измененных из них было только две - Стратхольм и Луносвет. Обе сделаны просто отлично. Вроде бы должны быть еще шесть, но это не точно. И жаль, что не добавили хотя бы парочку совсем новых. 7 из 10.

    Итоговая оценка. Хотел было поставить 7, но добавлю балл для компенсации массового хейта игры.
    Очень надеюсь, что такая "горячая" встреча все-таки не окончательно похоронит желание разработчика далее заниматься доработкой Warcraft 3 и стратегиями вообще.    … Expand

    Ok, I usually just passively consume reviews, but this whole SCAM made me sign up and actually write this bloody thing

    The game simply over promised, and seriously under delivered. Simple and plain false advertising. If what you expected was a W3 that works on modern systems, but has serious bugs and performance issues, this release is right for you.

    Disappointing, they oversold this hard. Very few significant enhancements. The units and buildings look much nicer, but that's about it. On the flipside, the ladders aren't part of the released version and they even removed them from the original, the campaign appears so similar to the original I don't think it's worth playing it again.

    That's an alpha version of a game. Dozens of bugs, bad optimization, lags. I've played wc3 sometimes and now i can't even do that. I forced to install bugged Reforged and feel the pain.

Абсолютно сырой, неготовый продукт с отсутствиемкакого-либо наполнения с худшей озвучкой(для снг региона). Компания правильно расставляет приоритеты. Зачем делать хорошо, если можно прорекламировать и сделать плохо? Зачем уделять время легендарной игре, проявлять уважение к игрокам и фанатам, если можно просто заработать деньги?     I don't know if i'm more disappointed in the game or knowing that this is modern day Blizzard as a company. Over promise and under deliver. Its a shame as i'm sure there are many Blizzard employees that work really hard to bring the fans great games but when a product in this state is pushed out the door its simply a reminder not to pre-order and to not trust large corporate publishers.    … Expand

    Более 40 часов эпического игрового процесса и более 4 часов переработанных внутриигровых роликов.
    Будут переделанны все локации под современный лов World of Warcraft, а именно: к примеруСтратхольм не будет находиться на юге чуть ли не у самого Луносвета, закрузочные карты будут изменены на современную карту вов, где будет указан путь    Начнем с того, что было обещано в 2018 году, а это:
    Более 40 часов эпического игрового процесса и более 4 часов переработанных внутриигровых роликов.
    Будут переделанны все локации под современный лов World of Warcraft, а именно: к примеруСтратхольм не будет находиться на юге чуть ли не у самого Луносвета, закрузочные карты будут изменены на современную карту вов, где будет указан путь героев с последствиями, например стратхольм после уничтожения на карте будет охвачен пламенем, диалоги и новые катсцены, где Кристи Голден сказала, что добавят возможно и катсцену, где Артас воскрешает Непобедимого, или же диалог Джайны и Антонидаса, после того, как Артас уничтожит Лордэрон. Возможность переключаться на старую озвучку, города в кампании так же будут переделаны под современный вов, где например Черная Цитадель не будет находиться в биоме Полуострова Адского ПЛамени а предастся более черному биому с зеленой жижей, как это сделано в ВоВ в Долине Призрачной Луны.

    Они обещали бета тест к весне 2019 года, но мало того, что его не было, так не было и какой либо информации о разработке игры. (Зато предзаказ они сразу открыли)

    После более года тишины добрые датамейкеры показали нам тонну моделей и иконок, что дало вспомнить об этой игре, но тут же было сказано разработчиками, что видите ли коммьюнити недовольно такими изменениями и они решили вернуть все обратно и все оставить как в оригинальном варкрафт 3. (Предзаказ естественно вам никто не вернет)

    Люди, которые оформили предзаказ смогли поиграть в бету с обычными людьми, которые даже не брали предзаказ,

    После чего, они перенесли дату выхода игры с обещанного 2019 года на 2020 год под конец 1 месяца, где по итогу ничего не было изменено, кроме моделей.

    И я сомневаюсь, что они послушав коммьюнити решили все оставить как было в оригинале, скорее всего просто они в очередной раз сэкономили на разработке. (но предзаказ до сих пор висит)

    По итогу, люди, которые оформили предзаказ в 2018 году, в надежде увидеть перекованную версию той самой легендарной Warcraft 3, получили в ответ плевок за 1300 рублей, где ровным счетом из обещанного не было сделано ничего!!!

    Перенос классики на это убожество и невозможность вернуть старый варкрафт, куча багов, отсутствие кланов и прочие прелести Blizzard, за 1300 рублей!!!

    Они не успели сделать обещанное, зато успели открыть предзаказ. Жадность губит друзья!!!    … Expand

    Out of nostalgic love for Warcraft 3 I bought this breathing scam. The amount of lies Blizzard has empowered this game with is ridiculous, look it up with independant games media. Compare what they say on the official site with whats in the game. This is not a remake nor a remaster, it's a character models reskin for 30 dollars. It's a spit in the face of every Warcraft fan.     That kind of reforge would be 10 out of 10. On a new engine, with good textures. But you know what you should do for that kind of work? Hire someone who gives a **** Like AXCEL who spent his free time to destroy entire company single-handedly and show how it must to be done.

    Warcraft 3 Reforged from Blizzard on the other side looks worse than original Warcraft. Yes, we are in that spot of history when game of 2002 is better than "REFORGED" of 2020. To make it clear - We living in a second decade of 21st century. Do you understand that Blizzard? DO YOU UNDERSTAND? HOW IT IS POSSIBLE THAT YOU MADE IT LOOK WORSE IN 2020??? Warcraft 3 original graphics looks better! Same with their armor design, grass, trees, etc.

    I was not a fan of reforged even from 2018 I still saw flaws of the game even in that time, but version of 2020 is even worse. [Links NOT permitted]

    Lets conclude what Blizzard did:
    Microtransactions in WoW, Diablo Immortal, Hong Kong censorship and now Warcraft 3 reforged.
    Do not buy games from Blizzard. This company is done. Boycott them.
    There is no comeback for them. It started with Warcraft 3 it ended with Warcraft 3.

    A low effort cashgrab. The idea of re-releasing an iconic game after this many years sounded great. Unfortunately the accounting team decided that paying artists and programmers to update it actually takes money, while selling it brings in money. So lets just skip the whole effort part where we actually do work and make it good and just resell it to suckers. Brilliant!!!

    After waiting for so long, I cannot describe how much disappointed I am. Bought the game and played custom maps. It crashed in all of the games I played.

    The terrain looks awful and the menu ui looks unfinished. Refunded the game, I loved Warcraft 3 and now cannot play the game anymore.

    Blizzard said they will change some old story to make it closer to the new story line. Arthas vs Illidan was the most ridiculous thing I have seen. It is absolutely garbage ! Even the old one is much better than the new one. The whole game is buggy and cheap made. However, they wanna charge for AAAgame price. Blizzard is died, this is a fraud !!! DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE.

They showed it at Blizzcon 2018 (!!!) not 2019, and opened PRE-ORDERS, because this is the easiest thing to do, money first. Thats the company’s new philosophy

    After the Pre-order thing in 2018 was all set, there was a statement that the game will be RELEASED UNTIL 30 DECEMBER 2019 (!!!)
    That’s one year of development. The 2019 has started but THERE WERE NO NEWS ABOUT THE GAME FOR ONE YEAR, they just updated their website a little, adding new arts once in 3 months.
    Then, the time has come to BLIZZCON 2019, they started to wonder “Oh damn... people will ask us about the game we showed them one year ago” and this is when the work started, it started almost one year after release, first beta builds and all the stuff went AFTER BLIZZCON 2019, it was one month until the “official release date” only blind person would believe that they will make the game in time. Yes, they post-pointed the release, but what is the one extra month in Holiday time is? It’s nothing, as is this game, that looks like a low effort attempt of interns that were promised to get payed, but were tricked. So were we, fans who just wanted to revisit their favorite game of the childhood.
    With all that was written, I sincerely ask you, STOP SUPPORTING BLIZZARD’S PROJECTS, this might not bring back the quality, I am certain of it, the old blizzard wont ever be back, but this will help the money hungering bosses, to start losing their money, investor’s trust, etc

    Reforged is a Bug-Ridden Mess. This is the lowest Blizzard ever been. They took preorder money from people , promised 8 features but then cut 5 short and delivered a buggy, unfinished, rushed product and charged premium for it. DO not support this greedy company!

    I've played WC3 since I was a little kid in 2002. Never in my life have I been as disappointed as I am today. False advertisement, game riddled with bugs, poor communications from Devs. This will be my last Blizzard game ever.

    Blizzard removed the option of playing versus A.I. for old RoC and TfT users. They forced an upgrade for people who have the old RoC and TfT in their possession. They stole my good old RoC and TfT experience from me! I am not going to buy Reforged and i want a refund for my broken RoC and TfT clients!!

    the only saving grace of this game is that it's not 60$. thats it. do not buy.    … Expand

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
