    I pre-ordered (yes I know it's not the best thing to do nowadays) the Spoils of War Edition for 39,99€ and since launch I'm not even able to log into the game and I am also not allowed to play offline (the "Play offline"-button is grayed out). The error message I get doesn't help at all and the only solution for some people with the same problem was to add the Reign of Chaos and The FrozenI pre-ordered (yes I know it's not the best thing to do nowadays) the Spoils of War Edition for 39,99€ and since launch I'm not even able to log into the game and I am also not allowed to play offline (the "Play offline"-button is grayed out).     A Masterpiece - Reforged.

    Blizzard did a great Job with this remaster. They did way more than they needed to do. almost every mission has new cutscenes , voice acting and goals. So much love did they put in this game. Its easy the first GOTY Contenter 2020. At its core its the same Masterpiece as Warcraft 3 but they did almost everything new and better. Its like the best game ever made    A Masterpiece - Reforged.

    Blizzard did a great Job with this remaster. They did way more than they needed to do. almost every mission has new cutscenes , voice acting and goals. So much love did they put in this game. Its easy the first GOTY Contenter 2020. At its core its the same Masterpiece as Warcraft 3 but they did almost everything new and better. Its like the best game ever made but even better. And the best thing is this 100 Hour Epic Masterpiece only cost 30 Bucks. What a great deal what a great gesture from Blizzard not wanting full Price what this game is more than worth.     All about this game is lie.
    Of course the main W3 game was the Best STR ever made. They just took 2 Years for this pityful reskin Without even half of keys functionalities.

    Just get your refund and sell your blizzard actions that’s all they desserve.

    TL;DR version graphic's and cinematic's are not as advertised and the new TOS has ruined the modding community anything you create "Activision Blizzard" owns everything and you get nothing and mods what they find inappropriate will result in actions taken against your account.
    I'm trying to refund my game I doubt I will be successful

    - Bugs and crashes!
    - Badly done animations, and models that were nowhere close to what you promised. - Reused CGI cutscenes with next to no improvements or revisions at all. And my personal favourite! - Ownership of any intellectual property made with the map    Blizzard my old friends... You have outdone yourselves. We welcome back the glorious Warcraft 3...     Good game (potential to be a great game), but one that will become the “go to example” of how NOT to launch a game. If the game isn’t there yet - don’t launch!

    Additional features that were promised (enhance UI, ranking system etc) need to be released.

    May revise the ranking at that time.

И теперь его голос плавно изменяется с ходом сюжета, а не остается однообразным всю игру.
    Жаль, что так вышло с катсценами, конечно. Хоть они мне нравятся и в классическом виде, было бы интересно посмотреть на них. Но я думаю, что под шквалом всего возмущения игроков вокруг, Близзард исправит это позже. Но пока за это минус балл.
    Минус балл за сыроватость, вроде загрузочных экранов и лагов. Но, раз это всё равно исправят потом, то нет особых поводов переживать.
    Плюс один балл за малыша Тимми - Он больше не выглядит маленьким лысым уродцем))
    Суммарно - 9 баллов. Надеюсь, что этот проект еще получит определенную поддержку патчами и корректировками. Спасибо Близзард за то, что позволили вернуться в детство)    … Expand

It's an 18 year old game on 18 year old engine with new models imported and replaced. There are new textures too and that's about it.     New models look cool, but the animations are horrible. The game works in 60fps, but the units move in 30fps or even less and there is stuttering as they move. Blizzard also removed multiple animations from multiple units, so for example when in original, an unit had two or three different attack animations, now they only have one single swing.

    Not enough they released unfinished product that's in the worse state than beta. They also managed to run the original game by merging the two games on all players. Therefore now people who don't even own reforged, will have their original game modified with reforged files, which means they will also lose animations etc from the original game they bought 18 years ago.

    This is the biggest scam in the gaming history, it's worse than Fallout 76.
    Do not buy this game, you have been warned.

I pre-ordered the game as fast as i possibly could, thinking that Blizzard couldn't possibly screw this up. It was the first game i ever pre-ordered and it will also be the last game i ever pre-order.     Blizzard disabled my old Warcraft 3 version and trying to force me to download additional 30gb(my game was only 2gb) , also I heard you no longer has option to play maps that had custom models like pokemon, naruto and dbz not to mention they removed custom campaigns and lan games. 0-10

Promises of remastered content fell completely short. There is no more LAN option. There is no Computer vs AI option. The gameplay shown at Blizz con has changed and in no way reflect what they promoted. In game hotI was excited for this game to come out! I loved Warcraft 3 ROC and TFT.     То что ожидали от ремастера, то и получили. Игра красивая и интересная, в одном орке полигонов стало больше чем во всём варкрафте 3 целиком. Хейттрейн не заслуженный, думайте своей головой.

    I don't even own this piece of **** but I read the EULA and **** me, this game will tank faster than Anthem. Nobody gives a **** about the campaign, the whole appeal is from costume games, which have by and large been ruined by the fact that everything you do is now owned by these hack frauds who literally haven't made a good game in almost 20 years.

    Really, how can you show a trailer with amazingly reworked ingame-cutscenes and then it's not in the final product? I ask myself what the hell have they done all this time? Yes, it is a small graphical upgrade - but aside from that, its actually worse than the original game.
    Really underwhelming. I filled in for a refund today.

    They ruined the old version too and forced it on us all. Say goodbye to that game you bought 18 years ago, you now have to install a 30gb update which changes it and makes it worse.

Оптимизация и тех.проблемы вот главные две проблемы игры.Как можно было застваить лагать игру, которая запускалась на старых ПК в 2002 году. А в 2020 с перетянутой графикой у нас беда. Короче учитывая,что эта поделка Близзов 0 баллов. Это не их уровень.На самом деле я понимаю,это просто ремастер. Но с другой на сколько же он мерзотный.     Bugs aside (they are legion), the feeling is just gone. We were shown remade in game cut-scenes which was for me THE selling point.. gone. They've spoken of remade voices.. gone. Extra sides missions in order to match the story development in WoW.. gone.

    The only thing you get is new character models.. but once again, downgraded from what we'seen from the announcement. (Huge let down regarding the back-steps made about previously redone buildings.. not even speaking about the floor, trees, and so on, which look extracted from ancient time as-well)

    Alongside that, you'll find yourself stuck with :
    * An UI of ancient time - very unappealing
    * The game menu from another time .. not reactive, not practical, you can't even stop the research for a game once you've launch one..)
    * Custom campaigns blocked for now
    * Stability issues (hopefully will be fix soon)
    * Colors that really doesn't shine.. at time everything looks so damn gray, it's depressing
    * Textures that seems flat out imported from the original game (+upgraded). There is a very noticeable distinction between the character models (remade) and the rest of the game, so much that it feels like the characters are not in the right packaging

    .. and the sad part is that I only have 6 hours played on the release version so far, and I've seen all of this already. The biggest disappointment for me is the "not so reforged" cut-scenes. This alone would have made the game really enjoyable for me as it was initially shown. Huge letdown.

    I've loved, Wacraft. I've loved the World they've built around it. Ultimately, I've been a Blizzard junky for many years, buying most of the games they made without hesitation.
    But after this, I can safely say that my faith in Blizzard is gone. I will watch closely what they'll do with D4, but will be much more regarding of the final product before buying.

    Sorry Blizzard.. loved you ! .. not anymore. You lost your own seal of quality (in my opinion at least)

    This game is not meant to be played on a potato, if your are seeing bad graphics or getting bugs or crashes then upgrade your rig, the 2 days I have been playing, seen no bugs or crashes, its like a weird hate mob, how many who wrote a negative review actually played it. a lot of fake reviews.

    Warcraft III Refunded! Do yourself a favor and don't buy this freaking cash grab. A lot of features from the ORIGINAL game (released almost 18 years ago) were removed, and others features that they promised were scrapped without a single warning.

However the project required a lot more time and in-house art staff to help truly bring this game to life. From the very first beta footage I saw, something striking hit me. Models were with radically different sizes and with very varying quality. That was very quick proof that the art was outsourced to a 3rd company and as such, simple corrections couldn't be quickly or efficiently done.

    Now a lot of people are complaining about the old engine and they are in their right. However the engine isn't entirely the same. In the last 2 years since this game's inception, an absolute ton of beefing up was done to the game's engine, allowing for many new cool things to be achieved with it. However that potential was not tapped into with this remake. If anything, fans of classic Warcraft 3 can enjoy them, as those improvements to the engine allow for more advanced and better optimised custom maps to be released. Too bad Blizzard discourages map creation with their new end user licence... What a terrible time for this game to be developed at...    … Expand

The characters were lively and fun now they are like dead ragdolls with the most basic animations possible, they even reused models to complete some (arthas as a death knight ?     And above all Warcraft III has had a substantial modding scene, and custom games are an important part of the game's infrastructure. Now, Blizzard is looking to retain rights to anything created within Warcraft III: Reforged.

    This is neither a preserved classic, nor a port for it to the year 2020.
    The graphics are kind of OK. But that is pretty much all it achieved because even feature wise it is a big downgrade.
    Controls are as clumsy and limited as in the original.

    The Blizzard polish is long gone and forgotten, features are gone, bugs, crashes. This is the Fyre festival of remasters, and this quote should be added in the back of your physical release (if you ever do one). Stay away from this game. The only thing you improve over Anthem is the loading times, if there are no crashes.

    False advertising, 100%. I got it for free and I feel ripped off. Beta was bad, launch is even worse. Riddled with bugs, a lack of those "upgraded cutscenes" from the pre-release trailer, and new lawyerspeak for "we own all your custom mapmaking". What a **** joke of one of my favorite teenage pastimes.

    The performance, the bugs, the mutilation of the classic client and a clear step backwards tells an incomplete story that I for sure will wait until in a few years we see the documentary of “Warcraft III: Reforged. What went wrong?” to try to understand all the choices that led to the savage obliteration of a classic game. Releasing this even for free would be an insult.    … Expand

In Russia, the voice acting was ruined altogether, there was a completely finished good voice acting, they made a new horrible and disgusting one. Complete disrespect for the fans, they still do not want to return the money at the time of January 29, 2020.

    - apm is visible now
    - partially new World Edit
    - old graphical engine, allowing to instant change of style from the old one to Reforged and making officially compatible old custom maps with new design
    Plus 4 points.

    Cons:
    - horrible voice actors in russian version of the game
    - game looks like sh|t comparing to Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty, released in 2015 (Blizzcon graphics was a lie T_T )
    - game is fully non-optimized, that leads to fps fluctuations from 19 fps to 140 on the newest CPUs like intel i7
    - even menu animations are laggy
    - very important option of GAMMA correction was removed
    - with no regarding to the old players or their own tastes the old launcher of WC3 was invisibly uninstalled (while old replays and custom maps have problems with launching from the new Reforged)
    - all rights on custom maps were claimed by Blizzard as their own property with no respect to the fans, who are the real authors of their maps
    - campaign is disgusting starting from upscaled CGI movies and bugged prologue to the cheat method of getting icons for your own profile and inconvenient stage selection for races
    - checkboxes for the objects like trees and more dumbass path-finding are annoying
    - no ranked yet for the RTS-game focused on competitive experience
    - reduction of violence in battles and sexual forms for favorite female characters as Jaina Proudmoore for,,, what? I don't know, honestly. For feminists?
    - battle net in Reforged is literally not made at all (requiring battletags to add friends, unhandy chat problems with hosting custom games)
    - old graphical engine, not allowing to extremely boost graphics either to level of Dota 2 or to Starcraft 2
    Minus 13 ponits.

    Overall:
    If we do simple mathematics then the final score will be... 10 + 4 - 13 = 1
    As you remember, I supposed this game is magnificent so the first rate is 10 and then we corrected this mark with its advantages and drawbacks. From my perspective, if Blizzard will solve even 5 problems with not optimized software then maybe the score of game will touch the point 6. Maybe... if it fully heals the fps, all freezes, lags, enables Gamma, delete cheats for campaing's icons, and make some minor improvements in graphics as well as makes good ranked and friend's menu... Yeah, that can be 6 potentially, if we will excuse their rights for custom maps and old engine. But, who knows, will they do that all and will we be satisfied with no more additional problems solved? I don;t think it's even potential. Maybe 2-3 core updates will be done and that's all, so the game will be 3-4 point of 10. Huh. So pessimistic prognosis, thus more able to be true.    … Expand

    Where is the less than 0 rating. The Release Version in 2002 was better, as this polished Alpha.

    Blizzard you can't release games like this. A multi billion company should fire or offset some people for this Desaster.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.
