    I've been playing CS for as long as I can remember, back in 1.6 days. Valorant feels like a worst version of 1.6 and 1.6 came out 17 years ago, they graphics have improved but the way the guns feel are awful. One major flaw with the game is the replayability. There's no map selector, so you get the same map over and over and over again which leads to boring and mindless grinding when itI've been playing CS for as long as I can remember, back in 1.6 days. The rounds feel like the same over and over, counter strating doesn't seem as viable because its just run and gun. I have a feeling they don't care about the esports/pro/high level scene so its going to be left in the dust of a unbalanced game, balanced for low tier players, example being Apex Legends. I love the game Valorant, it has a fresh idea and fresh feel but it needs some fixing and some features added. I've played Mirage thousands of times aswell as Dust 2 on CS, though I get tired of them sometimes, they bring fresh rounds and seamless gameplay at the highest level.

    I would really like a map selector, it shouldn't effect queues. Already have to wait 40 minutes for a game in unrated.    … Expand

    Game is infested with cheaters. No matter how you play, there will always be a cheater that can destroy you without using any SKILLS. Also the server sucks for most South East Asian players, since it prioritize Japan server and Chinese server instead of giving us an option to select for a certain server.

    so my main problem with valorant is since the update before launch. turkish servers, people in turkish servers dont speak anything else except turk 9 out of 10 times. it was much better when I played on other servers. people knew how to speak english they were doing teamwork etc, and the can be simple fix server selector whether you want to play on american turk.... most games have thatso my main problem with valorant is since the update before launch. turkish servers, people in turkish servers dont speak anything else except turk 9 out of 10 times. it was much better when I played on other servers. people knew how to speak english they were doing teamwork etc, and the can be simple fix server selector whether you want to play on american turk.... most games have that even mobile ones. and there is anther bug it shows that I have 40 ping on my pc but in my friends pcs it shows that I have 200 ping (which is the correct one) and my shots dont register, I have noticed that so its not much of a problem for me but I imagine that it can dismotivate lot of people, lack of content at launch just: just 4 maps and 11 agents but that isnt much of a problem becouse devs are updating the game regularly. it has much lower skill cap than csgo, you have to learn recoil for 7 bullets and rest is random but you can learn to control even that which is nearly same for rest of the guns, easy to use abilitys, good for new players but it puts skillcap as well unlike smokes in csgo I get it that valorant is getting to be something diffrent but if you when you master shooting you have to use brain unlike other games combined. and there are the things that valorant does right most important of all anticheat is very good unlike csgo and stuff that I heard from overwatch tf2. graphics are good and is regularly updated and isnt pay to win or encourage gambling or microtransactions lootboxes... nice game overall riot but add server selector or I will probably stop playing valorant, lot of my friends have left because of that and I imagine its not just my friends and keep adding content (mostly maps), and I hope that this game becomes something better example of a good game unlike csgo without any significant update and gambling.… Expand

    the game is raw playing it is very felt, when the developers all the time talked about their consultation with eSports, it immediately became clear that the project will fail and play it will only be those who have weak PCs or children who have not seen anything better

    This game should be removed from the FPS category. This game is so bad in gameplay and especially "feel" of weapon and how it interacts with the hitboxes of the enemy players. It is a joke. It is too easy. It is too slow. Like most ppl say its like csgo and overwatch had an abomination together.     It's a fun tactical shooter focused on COMPETITION. Most of the negative reviews are clearly mad this game isn't COD and they should maybe do some research before playing a game like this. Imagine playing CS:GO and **** that it isn't a run and gun game. The art is intentionally minimalist to keep the competitive integrity and so far the gunplay is excellent.     A cheap knockoff of CS:S with minimum effort design choices, uninteresting characters, boring muted color palette, and a glaring lack of creativity when it comes to weapon design. This uninspired Chinese-targeted Esports bait of a game will not be remembered, instead, blissfully forgotten by the community in the coming years.

    A decent game to start with, and if they refine what they have, there can be potential to make a community of its own. However it has an identity crisis.

    For example. They go for a cartoony art style but to make the game fair they made every colour flat. So then what's the point? Either commit to a cartoon style like TF2 or make a flat realistic style like CSGO. You can't have both.     By trying to appeal to everyone, they appeal to no-one. And by tying to hijack other community playerbases instead of trying to make one of its own that will stick around, I don't see this lasting.    … Expand

    When I played this game, I felt like I was playing in cheep browser version of CS:GO without original ideas. And special thanks for Riot, they have so much money that they can create the best game in the world, but they won't do it because of greed and their uncontrollable thirst for 'easy' money.

    Maps are not very well designed. Everything looks dead and empty (no animation, no moving foliage, no water, no ambiance sound.). The walking/running-making-noise system is so, so bad, what a poor choice of very annoying gameplay system. Powers are quite boring (yes, we understood that the dev didn't have a lot of ideas excepting bubbles of smoke that doesn't even behave    Very Meh at best.

    But the biggest issue with that game is that it is very slow, punishing quick play, and you really feel as a wood post that walks and aim.
    Also the aiming is very badly implemented: to have a proper precision you have no choice but to lower the sensitivity of your mouse big time (so it's only made for a certain fringe of players).
    Went out of beta way too early.

FPS games were here long before and so were games with different heroes. I can see this game taking whats left from CS:GO but I don't think it is yet ready to beat the big foes such as Rainbow Six: Siege and such.     Now, as a matter of taste i)graphics are more cartoonish than photorealistic ii) There is no rush/run/sprint/slide etc only standard movement and slow/silent movement. This makes run and shoot almost impossible and this characteristic is amplified by no respawn. You died. nice. better next time. learn not to COD. iii) also no more brainless jumping around like a gnat. It doesnt mean that valorant is a sim, but you get the idea.

    All and all, not a solid 10, but an 7-8 just because it is fun but not addictive. and it is in between in many respects. It does not excel in any field but not a crap either. Be careful, mediocre score of this game is because haters that expected something else gave it a zero. Give it a try. It's really free, and let yourself know better by your own judgement...    … Expand

    I love Valorant. The game runs very well on low end systems, which is highly appreciated, and personally I love the graphics. they feel refreshing and make the game feel brighter.

    So, upon release of this game, I jumped in blindly. I had played CS:GO casually before, and I did recognize that the game is incredibly similar to it. However, Valorant managed to captivate me a lot more than CS:GO. Its roster of agents and roles introduced variety, and a lot more strategic placement to matches. Valorant felt fun. The cash store, only contains skins which isn't a huge lossSo, upon release of this game, I jumped in blindly. However, the experience right now, is littered with connection issues and instability. I gave it the excuse of being a new release, but to some people, I understand that it is a deal breaker. The game doesn't feel too unbalanced, but there are definitely some agents who fit better into a team than others. Guns aren't too varied in feel, but are still enjoyable to pick between. I have heard some people complain about the game being slow, but so far, that hasn't been the case for me. I've had intense matches that got me going for quite a while. Overall, I'd say the game feels like CS:GO, for sure, but it has unique aspects. The general experience could use some work. There are barely any real rewards to playing however, including the battle pass. In the free version of the Battle Pass, there are these things called Radiant/Radianite points that are used to upgrade skins to unlock VFX and things of the sort. But they are useless for a general free to play player. Most skins can't even be upgraded, the only ones that can be upgraded, are the Prime Skins. This game currently has a distinct lack of maps and gamemodes, currently depending on the Bomb Plant system, which is pretty much like CS:GO. It definitely isn't the game for players who're exclusively into fast paced gameplay all the time, but it definitely has some solid ground. As it develops, the devs are working on balance and gamemodes, which is great. But this game will take some time to match up to other titles in its genre. TLDR: It's a fun game, with good variety. Is usually slow, and strategic but can get intense. Has a lot of launch issues, like connection breaks and balance. Needs work, semi-solid start. Valorant has a bright future, if the devs manage to get there.… Expand

    Cool alt fire mechanics for almost every gun. Either an ADS with different behavior (usually slower rate of fire but not always) or other goodies.

    Lots of info on the minimap and all over the UI, awesome! Some of the things this includes are the area where your running footsteps are audible, the location your abilities will hit if you release them, etc.

    Awesome headshot animations. Super satisfying.

    Cool distribution of abilities. I like how the abilities are quite similar to CS grenades + some movement oriented ones, and weird info gathering ones, and I like that not every character can have all the grenades.

    Changes with mixed results:
    Why are there ults in this game? It just seems like a dumb addition since the economy for it is very simple. Meh.

    The maps are way too corridor and choke heavy, which makes this game particularly slow, even compared to CS. There needs to be more wide open areas that snipers have to survey. It's just all about angles in this game which kind of kills variety. This is snowballed harder since lots of characters can specifically make chokes even harder to get through.

    Terrible ideas:
    The characters are really annoying...it almost feels like Riot just wanted to make a CS clone but shoehorned the idea of a hero shooter in there with very little thought. They basically gave the heroes abilities that are largely just grenades in CS. The banter is banal, all the characters suck.

    Skins suck. Monetization is not intrusive at least.

    Lack of game modes. There isn't even ranked now, but you can't play on 1 map only the way you can with CS, no custom servers, etc. There's basically only an unranked mode, which lasts freaking 40 minutes, and a super casual mode that's kind of like gun game with crazy powerups. Nothing in between.

    Anticheat. There's NO POINT in this annoying anti-cheat. It doesn't prevent cheating, it just requires the cheat to have more access. Preventing cheating will always be a combination of anticheat software and reporting, data-analytics, etc. There's really no reason to make such an intrusive program that makes you reboot every time it updates, runs all the time, etc. It's almost a deal breaker.     5) Long-term use of certain skills, which is critical, because the game is fast, long animations kill. Some skills are inconvenient to use.
    6) There are no kill cameras (2020, you need a half-programmer to do this).
    7) Almost no skill combinations.
    8) You can not change the character at the beginning of the game.
    9) Ping in Russia.
    10) Bans for no reason. A friend threw out anti-cheat just like that twice, moreover, forbade him to start the game.
    11) There is no timeout.
    12) Objects that you can visually climb into are not.
    13) Three points on the map in a 5x5 game?
    Did you make a copy of the game on the advice of e-sportsmen? Let them play it. There are pluses, but they fade against the background of the above.    … Expand

    Valorant does somethings really well like the character design (except Raze, rocket launcher doesn't belong to a tactical shooter) and sound design. But somethings they really dropped the ball with. In my opinion the gun mechanics feel really unsatisfying. Unlike in CS or R6S you don't really have a feel for your weapon. In CS you can kind of feel how the spray from your gun goes but in this game it feels like its completely random. I know it's supposed to be a bit random but sometimes it feels that your gun does what ever it feels like doing. I like the pistol mechanics though.

    Another thing I think isn't as good as in the two games I mentioned before is the movement. Both CS and R6S are slow movement games. There isn't any fast movement techniques or anything fancy about them. It's the same in Valorant but for some reason it feels WAY slower. The defenders have a massive advantage. It feels like it's impossible to peek any corners. Also it doesn't help that there are so many angles to check.

    I have a problem that not many of my friends play this game and I have to soloque. I know I'm not the only one with this problem. I'm form Northern Europe so I get matched with a lot of Russians and since they can't communicate, it makes my games unenjoyable. Information is key in this game so how am I supposed to beat a five stack when half of the time half of my team can't communicate with me. And no, you can't write in the middle of a round. Stop it, you're being stupid. Also the devs want you to team up with the players you meet in the game but that's just unrealistic to think that players will just team up with each other just like that.

    Last thing i want to tackle are the maps. The fact that the game launched with only four maps screams to me that it's unfinished. Normally when a game of this caliber and such a large company behind it launches it at the least has 6 or 7 maps. Also the map design is really obnoxious. There is so many rooms where you have to check to multiple corners at the same time. Even with flashes or stuns it's really just a fifty fifty gamble. For example, Split A-main to A-site, 1v1 situation. The first thing you need to do is check to your left and right when you enter the site. Also you have to check heaven and under rafters. After that you have to check defender spawn and back pillar (it's the huge pillar thingy in the middle of the site) at the same time. Then you can plant. It's really annoying to play lke that.

    So that was my rant about the game. It's really good when you have a five stack and you can communicate with your team perfectly but other than that it can be really frustrating.    … Expand

    Visualmente interesante, es tan bonito por fuera que al momento de darle la oportunidad solo te llevas una gran decepción, y es que su gameplay es de los más aburridos que te puedes encontrar en los juegos online actuales, un potencial enorme totalmente desaprovechado, solo queda esperar que Riot Games tome nota y cambie radicalmente el juego porque muy mal este camino que decidieron tomar.

    Valorant is the most addicting game I've played in years with silky smooth gameplay, cooperation and is fun with friends. Riot had done an amazing job at trying to compete with csgo.

Monetization is also criticized, but guys just remember that Valorant is fully F2P, don't buy the skins if you find it expensive (juste remember CS isn't F2P for a long time and did offer very - very expensive skins...)

    We need to nuture innovation, what the gaming industry flourishes on. Look at Fortnite, a game which built on battle royale mechanics and combined them with Minecraft's build system. However, where Epic's masterpiece was an interesting combination of its predecessors mechanics, Valorant instead plays out as a banal blend of normality.

    I have played csgo for 5 years and this game feels very refreshing compared to it. The game is not for everyone but i still recommend it for anyone who likes competitive fps games.

    yo por ejemplo cumplo perfectamente los 60 fps en full hd segun ellos y el juego para que me vaya a entre 60_80 fps tengo que correrlo todo en bajo.
    vamos una optimizacion pesima.
    mi recomendacion es que vayais al csgo o el overwatch ya que ese no tiene problemas de servers,rendimiento y errores ya que esto actualmente esta muy muy verde.

    I downloaded it quickly as soon as it was available, I played it and that's how fast I uninstalled it. It's a disgusting jumble between overwatch and the cs: go and not to mention the tech section, the physics, the gameplay ... It's literally one of those cheap Chinese copies, of course it is. I'll stay with OW or CSGO, sorry Riot. And if it is up to me to play one of your games, LoL.

    Not only that, but many issues regarding Valorant's invasive run-on-startup anti-cheat, cheaters in the games anyway despite the anti-cheat's best efforts, and many data privacy issues have arisen over the months before the launch.

    Anti cheat is capable of making your computer have several problems. And when you enter the game, you notice a lot of hackers. It's ridiculous! They created a mix of CS and Overwatch, with CS not having the boredom Valorant has.

Map designs are claustrophobic and allergic to lengthy corridors making the signature "AWP" or Operator neutralized in performance by any of the rifles, because no distance will ever be too far for the rifle to squarely land an immediate headshot. The time for cursor settle is non-existent. It does bring me back to a memory of why I stopped playing team games in favor of Battle Royales - but that's hardly this games fault uniquely.

    The lack of rated/ranked play at launch was also a misstep - the asinine justification supposedly being that they wanted to give people time to get better at the gameplay. Crossover players from other shooters and specifically CS:GO won't be getting better, because the skill ceiling is lower - and non fps players won't be getting better in two weeks, so a lack of rated play has just led to two(or however many weeks) of painful play with horrible skill mismatches and people who leave constantly/afk, they really managed to capture the league experience with this one. The buy rounds are too long, and the buy zone is too expansive, the barrier wall system eliminates any variability in gameplay provided by semi random spawns and timing windows(experienced in CS:GO).

    I'd put it at the tier of Realm Royale(before those developers screwed it up), but far less innovative. I'll keep playing it a bit, but I wouldn't be here if PUBG's last patch hadn't been categorically game ruining ;)    … Expand

    The Good: The pace of the matches and individual combat feel good though the delay on skill animations takes some time getting used to and their utility is often bottlenecked by this delay of animation. Characters are cool and unique. The aesthetic of the maps/agents/home menu is clean and modern.

    The Bad: The largest problem in my opinion are the maps... There are an insane number of corners to clear in every map and the tight chokes and corridors that they all are reduced to makes it feel like I am playing a worse version of "Inferno" from CSGO the entire time. The second complaint I have is the economy/guns; maybe it will be different in ranked but the guns all seem to similar for the price. I can dominate people with way better guns and skills with my little SMG if I am just a little bit lucky, but also if I don't buy armor I will get one-shotted in the chest by the cheap sniper rifle (basically the scout of Valorant if you play CS). It could definitely use some balancing of weapon damage/accurate range/price. My final complaint is despite the good things I have said about the aesthetic I am disappointed in the graphics clarity. I am running a beast GPU on 1440p resolution and diagonal lines, resolutions, and clarity of fine details look jagged and unpolished despite being on maximum settings, and that is simply unacceptable for a AAA title.    … Expand

The game is so different of any game i play... yes its like a son of league of legends and csgo, but you must be blind to say "valorant is a clon of csgo" for the next reasons i say that the game is so diferent: first of all, the abilities are so important in every round, if a team is not playng using the habilites, that team will lost Second of all: the gameplay is so different in every round, in the first round, we play slow, but in the second, is so frenetic
    Thirt point: the abilities are buyables changin everything you know about csgo and his shop
    And, the last one: the COMUNITY, everyone who play csgo will understand and its imposible hack valoran but in csgo its imposible to play and cant find a hacker

    I was excited for Valorant. It was a highly anticipated game. However there are just far too many shortfalls for this game to be considered worthy of your time. However there are just far too many shortfalls for this game to be considered worthy of your time. Even my friend (who mind you has a much better internet connection) has troubles with network. Lately I have even been experiecing massive lag spikes comparable to that of a DDOSed Siege servers. Another pardonable miss step is the balance. Now onto the spicy stuff.
    Peaker's advantage
    I have played a few FPS games (CSGO, R6S, OverWatch among the multiplayer ones), however I have never experienced such unfairness when it comes to peaking. It feels disgusting to peak and even worse to get peaked. You just know that the other player couldn't even react to your elegant one tap. This combined with one of the lowest TTKs I have experienced makes for a knife's edge feeling when playing but you're just always on the wrong side. I do like 128 tick servers but you never get the full of them since you just die by a peak most of the time.
    Map angles
    This might be a personal preference but I really don't like the maps' design of Valorant. The bottlenecks feel really chok-ey, the open angles are too revealing and structure of the plant sites doesn't feel right. Also is it just me or some places just feel like reskins of CSGO's maps?
    Agents
    Hanzo reskin, for real? I mean the agents themselves are not terrible (though some abilities like Raze's grenade or whole of Reyna might need some tweaking). I like ebb and flow of some agents, Omen has a great out-play potential, Breach is good at breaching and so on. Nevertheless it still feels a bit stiff and robotical. Also what I'm really disappointed about is seeing a Hanzo reskin, for how many opportunities you had to create something original this just feels like lazy design.
    Last but not least, player skill balance
    I admit, it is a game that's straight out of the oven. But man I'm getting bored of the system's overestimation of my skill. 8 losses in a row (6 total stomps and 2 very close games) doesn't really encourage me to play further. There was a 3 win streak...once. I have to confess my gaming skill isn't perfect yet I don't think that constantly loosing is what's in my capabilities.
    Bonus facts
    Winning isn't satisfying and loosing tilts af. Getting killed will make you feel powerless and killing doesn't give you any emotions. All guns look the same and feel the same within each class. Tryharding doesn't feel rewarding.

    To conclude, try it out but don't get too tilted. You might find fun where all I saw was tilt. Just don't waste your time with trying to make it work when you can't.    … Expand

    El juego es un clon de otro juego bastante famoso. Pero lejos de mejorarlo con la adición de habilidades lo empobrece. Si a eso le añades unos gráficos de baja calidad y una comunidad muy experimentada por saber jugar a ese famoso juego, tienes el coctel perfecto para que un jugador nuevo no disfrute en absoluto del título.

    A good game, yet it has the **** matchmaking I have ever seen. I have never EVER been in a game where I didn't win by a HUGE margin or lose by a HUGE margin. This is easily the worst matchmaking I have ever seen and it has sucked out ALL the fun in this game.

    Great game with alot of potential, only reason why I give an 10 even tho they are still balancing the game and perfecting it is because they are doing something to keep cheaters out of the way ( I don't mind having an evasive anti-cheat running in my computer for that!)
    Second reason, they do listen to the community and work to maintain it, unlike valve who takes a **** on their players.     Played about 20 games. I don't understand the hype surrounding this game.. This is a combination of tf2/csgo with a poorly executed design. Unfortunate. Don't download this game.

    After Riotgames war with Moonton, and now, Riotgames follow Moonton about New Copycat Games.
    Original game (Counter Strike and Overwatch) still the best!

    The game is entertaining, easy to learn in certain aspects and picturesque, I like anti-cheating to be "invasive" because it is the only way to get some security.

"3D processing" of the audio is not felt either, making it difficult to know if an enemy is behind a very close wall or within a few meters.

    The AIM is the other important point, coming from a shooter like the CSGO that forces you to learn the pattern of weapons or the penalty with movement and the famous PreAIM, in Valorant we find that weapons do not have a unique pattern anymore that it changes constantly or rather is random which makes it difficult to learn or the other points mentioned above.    … Expand

    This is a Nice FPS Competitive game, it adds new aspects to the cs:go format of play. The abilities from the characters are game changing and are very fun to use. The weapons are different but works the same way of the classic ones, it's totally playable

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game play just feels so nice! I don't care if vanguard is intrusive, because the game it self its actually really good. The thing i most liked is that it basically runs in every PC, even my 10 year old Intel Celeron PC.

    Играя в эту игру я испытывал скуку и уже на 5-м раунде спрашивал - "Да когда же матч закончится?". Играя я вспоминал, как недавно играл в CoD: MW, вспоминал какая динамичная и быстрая была эта игра. Сравнивая эти игры я увидел на сколько далеко ушли современные шутеры и что игры на подобие CS и PoinBlank морально устарели. А в том же Rainbow Six Siedge не самый динамичный геймплей компенсируют тактические возможности оперативников и интерактивное окружение.

    Я не понимаю зачем было делать такую игру в 2020 году. Для кого игра делалась? Почему разработчики невероятно увлекательной и визуально приятной League Of Legends допустили создание такого монотонного и вторичного продукта?    … Expand

    El sistema antitrampas intrusivo ya es motivo para no instalarlo, los gráficos son malos como las armas y está muy mal optimizado, por no hablar de que es una copia de cs. Lo único destacable son las habilidades y no están bien pulidas.

    I could only play it for 30 minutes because of how boring it was. Teammates are afraid to talk, cuz most of them are 12 y/o. Watched the stream of people playing this game - fell asleep. Not even gonna download it after the launch.

    Valorant has a high-quality and clean release without any problems. The game will definitely please fans of the competitive FPS genre. The eSports potential of the shooter has only become established over time, and the first tournaments are already planned. However, a high entry threshold requires serious skill training. But this only makes the game more interesting.

    Overall, Valorant is a great game to play if you're a fan of first-person shooter strategy games. But it is also something that someone without experience with games like CS:GO can enjoy and pick up quickly. The Agents are, for the most part, balanced, and the planned addition of more should keep the game fresh. The overall style doesn't really land and the sound design needs to be fixed.
