    The main selling point for Valorant is the revolutionary anti-cheat system, which promises a cheater free enviornment for players. It works by accessing your process list and it sees everything that goes on in your system, but sadly the anti-cheat doesn't work, as there are plenty of cheaters in the game to ruin your experience. If the anti-cheat blatantly doesn't work, then it can mean only one thing: Tencent is collecting and selling your personal information. The game it self is a cheap and poor ripoff from Counter Strike and Overwatch with a very cartoonish design, trying to mash two popular games into one big mess, minus all the good things the original games had, such as; recoil control, fast paced gameplay, competitive element and various dynamics of gameplay. The hitboxes must be the worst in FPS history. There are only two hitboxes, head and everything else. Combine that with terrible weapon balance, no recoil and you get the ability to cheese through enemies with couple of shots. It takes 0 skill to kill in this game. Even pistols feel like sniper rifles at range, just like every other weapon. No penalty for weapons in various ranges. Even COD which is considered to be the king of casual FPS has range penalties, this game apparently does not. The map design is terrible, it's clear the devs stole few map design concepts from CS and somehow made it worse. There is no strategy available in maps, just rush one or the other point, there are no alternatives. Character and skill design is the worst part of this game. They bring no utility to this game. Shooting skills through walls, ice wall and smoke an area every time, consider how both teams can do this. In the end you get a clunky mess on your screen, often wondering what in the world is going on until you get killed through the smoke by pre-fires in 3 shots. Even when you're dominating few games with positive K/D/A it doesn't feel rewarding, there is no incentive to make plays or clutches as you know you'll be killed in 3 shots by someone blindfolded pre-firing a corner. Take CS in comparison, you can do 1v5 clutches based on jukes, aim, enemy aim, smokes, flashes, rotation and still come on top victorious because the map design allows you various approaches to situations. You'll never see that in Valorant, because the game is bad and those playing it should feel bad. In a nutshell, Valorant is a poor attempt to make competitive FPS casual, at which Riot failed miserably. This game will die once the hype around it disappears.… Expand

    First of all, I want to mention that I have 5000+ hours on CS GO and 4 months experience in VALORANT. Yes, I think everybody agree that this game is fun. It's way better than CS GO. I will analyze the game as in competition mode. Before even launch the developers said that they want to eliminate "Peeker's Advantage" and I don't think it's possible. They tried few things but all of them just ruined the game. They decreased character movement speed. They ruined run to stop recoil. Some times my shots aren't registering due to these "fixes" but what fixed? NOTHING. They just ruined the game. There is even no spraying in the game. You started shooting in the head or you are dead in this game. I will just list the rest of it or this review will be boring.
    * There are too much corners in maps which makes harder to 1v5
    * Operator(Awp) is too strong in the game. It's so hard to counter them with agents don't have smoke or flash.
    * Optimization is so bad. I usually get 200+ frames while nothings going on. Then 5 attackers pop to site with bunch of skills then it's around 80 frames.
    * Spray transfer is just a luck.
    * We are forced to play this game 16:9. Changing it to 4:3 doesn't stretch characters. Only UI.
    * Queue times are so long. You can't find a game when you are 5 pre and immortal+ rank less then 15 minutes.
    * Sounds are a joke. You hear the enemy in front of you then he just appears from the other directions.
    * Many more...
    In a nut shell, it's a fun game but it can't compete with Cs go. Except they fix those issues    … Expand

    VALORANT is Over hyped ,Overrated,Unbalanced,Fortnite+CS+over watch, i played for 3 days just to check what all the hype is about.
    AND YES CS IS STILL BETTER !

Vergonhoso a forma como a Tencent trata jogos eletrônicos, tem que ser muito burro para gostar de jogos como Valorant, League of Legends, Free Fire, e outras porcarias.

The special abilities are broken and to me each gun has a bunch of randomized numbers in terms of damage. For instance, I was using a judge shot a player in the face didn't die. Next round I change my weapon one of the enemy player has a judge one shots me. What I am tryingValorant in my opinion is a decent/ok game.     Man, This game is great and addicting but **** me i hate it. I played 5 rounds of comp and finally got promoted, only to lose it after one lose. If they fixed this it has potential to be a good game.

    1. **** rank and match making (Imagine being the only gold with a bunch of iron/bronze vs 3 silvers and bronzes)

That being said, the game definitely caters more towards players who are willing to pick up a game in their spare time and go back to it when they feel like doing so.     Ranking system is one of the worst I have ever seen. Anti cheat is extremely intrusive and also extremely useless. Not as a joke it is an actual chinese rip off of counter strike. I have seen better mobile FPS games than this.

    To be honest, I had some significant moments in this game. I will drop a point for not being able to play in VM. Another point goes down for heroes and their design. Like come on, my dead grandma could have more impact on game than some heroes. Rainbow six siege is where you should have got heroes and their balancing. It is very dangerous to even try a kernel 0 anti cheat from makers of LOL. Idk how I even got this much craziness in my head to try something risky from Riot games. Gameplay is slow af.... Matchmaking is trash....ranked system is so broken....Too many corners to peek to ever be able to focus on real gameplay....     How to explain it in a nutshell. Besides that the details of the game leave to be desired. It adds a toxic community +a great chance to find people who use cheats. Riot tried to expand into another market, but he has a lot of work to do before he makes Valuable a pleasant game to play.

There are many innovative functions such as buying for teammate but overall had a bad experience. The more I play, the more annoyed I get with the abilities.     The game is full of smurfs. It is unplayable and you are literally f*cked from match 1. The worst matchmaking I have ever seen and the game is balanced as sh*t. Not recommended. Pure cancer game. You might enjoy 5-10 matches but then the game gets frustrating, annoying and pathetic.

    Valorant è l'apoteosi dei giochi fatti male, se non avete una connessione a terabit non provateci nemmeno, costante packet loss da 15 a 50%, in un gioco competitivo non possono succedere queste cose, prima di farli uscire i giochi bisogna che li fate come devono essere fatti, consiglio vivamente a chi vuole provare il genere counter strike finchè non metteranno a posto valorant.

    Valorant really does not stand out with other FPS games in the same category, while it was released later that the gameplay and systems are not too special to be a game icon. Slow, boring, smooth but somehow bulky, guns feel eye-catching are words to describe Valorant.

    trash servers 2 placement games were ruined because I kept on disconnecting for the first 4 rounds other games like overwatch, apex, and Minecraft didn't have this issue

It is VERY reminiscent of Counter Strike in the way you gain money round to round and spend it on weapons if you die and the powerups too, which unlike Overwatch are limited use, not on respawn timers, making what, where, and when you use them during each round a lot more tactical.

    It has about 11    The new free to play Valorant from Riot Games (League of Legends people) I like it! It is VERY reminiscent of Counter Strike in the way you gain money round to round and spend it on weapons if you die and the powerups too, which unlike Overwatch are limited use, not on respawn timers, making what, where, and when you use them during each round a lot more tactical.

    It has about 11 characters, half of which you unlock by playing the game and getting points that allow you to move up in two different tiers. One of them is a Seasonal pass type thing many of these F2P games have or like CoD’s seasons, you spend 10 bucks to upon the season and get more things. Honestly, 10 bucks seems like a pretty good value here. It also has a cashshop but doesn’t have loot boxes, you can see what you are buying and decide if it is worth it for you or not. (So far or not on the skins for the weapons)

    This game is clearly made for Esports but it’s a solid game with it’s so far only two types of play. One takes 30-45 minutes and is a first two 13 wins for a total of 25 rounds if you are neck and neck and you buy your equipment at the start of each round. The other is 10-15 and randomly gives you weapons it chooses.

    The game play is very tight and very twitchy. You have to watch your corners and this is not a bullet sponge game in the least, infact a single head shot can end you. The added timer and that one team is defending the other attacking to plant a spike (Bomb) on an A or B target or to just wipe out the other team, really keeps things going.

    Unlike Amazon games Crucible, this game, while not having many features or game types either, just FEELS better. You can tell a lot more time and effort went into the level designs, the powers of the characters, their look and graphics. It just feels good, if you are into team based shooters like Counter Strike or Overwatch. And the price is great!    … Expand

    Hey, i played and loved PC Games since ever and shooter Games. But i didnt use my PC for gaming for like 6 years. Now with this Game i finally use it again, i hate playing shooter on console, and i love that this is a game like CSGO but with Agents and Abilities, Riot did a really good Job combining this. I cant understand why people downrate this game so much, its fun and a goodHey, i played and loved PC Games since ever and shooter Games. But i didnt use my PC for gaming for like 6 years. Now with this Game i finally use it again, i hate playing shooter on console, and i love that this is a game like CSGO but with Agents and Abilities, Riot did a really good Job combining this. I cant understand why people downrate this game so much, its fun and a good alternative for an old csgo fan, its time for something new, most people hate this bcus they say its a copy and a bad Grafik, i dont care about grafics in games like und this, . Its fun to play alone or with friends, iits new this game will get better and bette people who like csgo more can stay nobody force them to play valorant, good game.     The game has some potential, but for the time it gets boring real fast, even if you are playing ranked. You dont get the feeling of teamplay like you do in CS:GO for example. Another major critic is the map design and the mm. I feel like the maps could be so much better, with more details, cover and so on.

    I'm not a cheater and never be, i was banned and I don't even understand why! I wrote in support, they said that this is forever... Well, maybe in this way you can ban real cheaters... The support service in my country is not working properly! I love Riot Games with all my heart, but Valorant... Banned forever for fair play and love for riot games.

    This game is pretty good, besides the fact that its Camping In Corners: The Videogame. It's a less toxic version of CS:GO and takes inspiration from Overwatch. Play this and you wont be dissapointed.

    Honestly an amazing game, its an upgrade to CSGO in almost or every single way, but its a new game so you will expect some unbalanced things and maps that need to be retouched to be "simpler". currently valorant is going through an "OP" meta where everyone is using the sniper since its really strong in this game but it should be good once its nerfed.

    Random bullet deviation should never be a part of a first person shooter that relies on accuracy of your shots, EVER. Same issue in BF1, your aim can be on point, but if RNG magically decides your bullets aren't going to hit, you're not going to hit. Imo, don't even bother with the game.

Valorant isn't a horrific game, but for the most part it feel slow and sluggish, especially when being shot, where your character literally slows to a grinding halt. The abilities are fun and interesting albeit sometimes frustrating (I'm looking at you Pheonix and your flash).     También, tiene tantas Rondas inconsecuentes, que se vuelve tedioso desde la primera partida, 13 rondas deberían ser mas que suficientes para definir una partida, pero mas de 20, es solo para hacer creer a los niños que tienen partidas substanciales y francamente no hay diferencia entre ir al ataque o defenderse, se sienten igual de sin sentido y aburrido.
    Por todas esas razones le Pongo un 1, y francamente seria 0 solo por el hecho del maldito vanguard que implementaron, bloquea el reconocimiento facial de inicio de sesion de Windows, bloquea Outlook, y cuando lo cierro para poder ver mis mails y responderlos, bloquea el touchpad y el teclado, literalmente Vanguard es una "MIERDA" sin razón de ser, ni siquiera como sistema anticheat, y el hecho de que se siga implementando demuestra que les importa un carajo los jugadores.    … Expand

    Стрельба, в сравнении с CS, невнятная. То ты начинаешь промахиваться от малейшего неосторожного движения, то ты набегу спокойно отвешиваешь хедшоты не важно из чего. Всё оружие стреляет гвоздями, попадание прибивает противника к полу, не давая двинуться с места. При этом, прибитый, теряет возможность ответного огня из-за дёргающегося прицела при получении урона.

    Регистрация попаданий просто никакая. Мало того, что, чётко видя несколько попаданий, игра в итоге может не засчитать ни одного, так ещё и наблюдая за другим игроком можно заметить тоже самое, точные попадания и нулевую регистрацию. Это вообще как? Сервер показывает попадание, но урона всё равно нет? Терминаторы в каждой второй катке.

    Больная на голову система рангов и баланс подбора. Разброс рангов в одном матче спокойно может достигать 6 - 7 пунктов. В каждой катке есть явные лидеры и явные аутсайдеры, с огромным отрывом. Баланс между командами так же сломан. Матчи в 90% случаев заканчиваются абсолютным доминированием одной команды над другой. Полное отсутствие даже намёка на баланс.

    Баланс персонажей такой же сломанный, часть умений от класса к классу дублируется. Часть бесполезна. Некоторые работают неправильно. Сколько нужно времени чтобы понять, что завеса (стенка) Вайпер, не должна бить через всю карту и уже пофиксить это? А с Рейз и её имбовыми гранатами что-то делать будут?

    Вся эта игра, лишь жалкая попытка выехать на фанатах CS, разбавив привычную им контру новыми фишками.    … Expand

The gameplay is alright, I don't mind the graphics, the characters, maps, and the gameplay because they all look pretty solid and clean. However, I really dislike the anti-cheat malware and getting spied by Tencent and I have some fps issues with other games when I download this malware. Also, when I saw that price on cosmeticComing from a Newcomer to counter strike fps game I enjoy it. The gameplay is alright, I don't mind the graphics, the characters, maps, and the gameplay because they all look pretty solid and clean.     Great tutorial and that's about it. Anti-cheat needs root/ kernel access. The game is a poor mixture of csgo and overwatch. I don't think it knows what is wants to be, but could be better in the future. I think all the positive reviews are likely bought and paid for by tencent.

    This Vanguard anti-cheat trash was supposed to be revolutionary, but it doesn't work at all. All you can read about him are Riot's lies. Be sure you will find a cheater in every (even unranked) match.
    They don't even try to hide, they just run around knowing everything and dealing insta headshots within 360 degrees. Sometimes you shoot one in the back and immediately die because his aimbot kills you before you can fire more than once.
    In every match you will find at least one cheater who will write to you:

    - EZ
    - Git Gud
    - Go Play Fortnite
    - Hahahaha
    - Noob
    - I'm not hacking!

    Many of them are handicapped children who stream it on YouTube, although no one watches them.
    Sometimes they don't know how to play the game at all. They don't even know how to plant a (Spike) bomb, and they can lose by dragging players and trying to kill them instead of completing map objectives.

    Don't play it because you will only lose time and nerves. Without cheats, you have no chance of having fun because you will be killed by stupid unskilled cheating morons.

    Feels like a weird mix of Team Fortress 2, Overwatch and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The gameplay is very much feels like the previously mentioned games but sadly that's it. The game brings nothing new to the table and the fact that the graphics looks like a mobile game makes this a bad shooter.

    I'm someone who doesn't mind financially supporting the games I play; in fact I love to. In other games I've spent more than a few "bundles" worth over the course of me playing them. However, this game is straight up greedy.

    They expect players to pay upwards of $50, $70, or $95 to buy a handful of skins. On top of that, many of these skins cost another $100 or so just to upgrade the freaking thing, which is something you'd expect included for half the original purchase price. There's a reasonably priced battlepass for $10, but be warned, it's deceptively grindy. This isn't like the battlepass in Fortnite, CoD, or any other game you've played. Each level requires ever increasing amounts of XP, with the last five out of fifty levels requiring nearly 20% of the total amount. On top of this, the battlepass has many levels simply rewarding you with "Radianite", which is the secondary currency you can only use to "evolve" certain skins that you have to pay ridiculous amounts of money for in the first place.

    Even if you decide to ignore the cosmetic purchases, you'll still have to deal with picking up some kid's ugly dragon skin because they used their parents' credit card.

    There's honestly no harm to giving the game a shot, but please don't support this garbage.    … Expand

Their 700 creds for an afk player is very funny, basically you end up losing the game because someone decided to leave only getting hit with a few hour ban. smurf accounts are a huge problem, when you are in iron and you have just started the game you expect players of your caliber or slightly above so you can learn more about how to play the game, what happens is, experienced high ranked players would create accounts with an iron rating and those are matched with the inexperienced players and that is completely unfair. weapon recoil is way too stupid, and sometimes damage and hitboxes mess up, i was playing a game as reyna against another reyna, pistol rounds and both of us are with ghosts, now if you buy a ghost you cant buy a shield, so i headshot reyna with -105 damage and she lives and kills me, completely weird. operators are way out of control, some agents are way too strong, for example something that pisses me off is the fact that reyes' bombs are still effective even after she dies, which is stupid if you ask me as she is the only agent with bombs in the game. skins are overpriced even if i decide to whale out i wouldnt spend 200 dollars on some skins. the game is in its infancy but some things need to be addressed if this game would ever succeed.    … Expand

    Played my first match and got screamed at by the same toxic players that inhabit League. Glad to see they made the switch. The matches take too long to play and they are boring and repetitive. The guns all feel the same. Why can't I aim down my sights with certain guns?

    Does Valorant have more pros? Yes, of course. I'm going to list them in a more clean arrangement with a small description of each pro.

    PROS:
    - It's a funny, fast-paced and addictive FPS.
    - Many say that Valorant it's a competitive game. It is correct but I want to add that "Competitive Mode" is just one of the three modes available at the time I'm writing this review (the other ones are "Unrated" and "Spike Rush").
    - Unlocking certain items by playing a lot the game IS possible, like the Raze's unique pistol skin "Pistoleira" that can't be bought with real money / virtual currency (which isn't a lot, but looking at how lootboxes and micro-transactions are becoming more and more common... It's worth adding this).
    - Heroes are all different and have unique abilities. Also, they are all viable and fun to play.
    - The game runs also on old and weak setups.

    But then why I'm giving Valorant a 5?
    Let's imagine a scenario where Riot didn't make this game, but an indie developer with small knowledge on how marketing and various other things work in the game industry.
    In that case, I would have rated Valorant an 8 out of 10.
    So, what lowered the score so much? Riot, of course, with their awful management and terrible marketing.

    So, now I'm making another section for Cons that will take every point of the Pros section and analyze the errors made by Riot.

    CONS:
    - Yes, it's a fast paced and funny FPS, but I think that the amount of guns in the game... Is kinda low.
    - "Competitive mode" which was already present in the beta wasn't in the official release (I don't know the reason) and required one month to be implemented again (the "Competitive Mode" update is infamous in the Valorant community for the damages that caused to the gameplay, adding glitches and ruining the experience of the game.)
    - Yeah, you can get some skins by playing the game but... What if you want to buy a skin? Well, you have two choices:
    1) BUYING A SKIN PACK: A skin for each gun in the game, a title and a spray (usually changes but this is the standard) costs circa 100€ where I live
    2) BUYING SKINS SEPARATELY: A single skin can usually cost between 10 and 20€
    I don't need to tell you that these prices are too high, in fact, rarely you find players that have these skins.
    - Heroes are all unique and blah-blah-blah but some were/are definitely too strong and should be balanced (same goes for guns)
    - Updates are stupid (100 Mb for an Orb in "Spike Rush" and some balancing? Seriously?)
    - Logs are stupid! (They never told us some crucial information like the deactivation of the "Competitive Mode", information that could be found only on Reddit/Twitter).
    - Loading screens before matches take too much time.
    - Riot Vanguard (just this, if you know something about this game... you know why it's in cons)

    So, in a few words.
    Valorant is a fun experience, I advise trying it solo or with a friend but it has a lot of potential that, at the moment, doesn't get expressed.
    If I could vote in fractional numbers, I would give this game: 5.5    … Expand

    This is an overyhped CSGO clone, out to steal the old dog's thunder. essentially nothing feels special about playing it. The only thing I like about is that it's only 8 gigs big.

The abilities force people to think outside of the box about positioning and strategy, and the abilities are all well balanced and are able to be countered.
    The main thing is that people who have thousands of hours on other tactical shooters like CS:GO, complain about the "lack of skill". The recoil patterns become RNG after a few shots, the abilities are crutches, so on, so forth. I disagree. The abilities have their uses, pros and cons, and like I said before, can be easily countered with better positioning and reaction times. The abilities do require skill to use, especially in the higher tiers of this games ranked mode. Any rank above Iron you cannot just randomly toss a fire into the middle of mid and manage to actually get use out of that fire. The abilities require game sense, logical thinking and strategy to use well.
    The guns. Old dogs from various other FPS games will think that the guns are, "clunky" and shoot like "pea-shooters''. Where they did not elaborate on how the guns were "clunky" and "peashooters" other than saying the SFX are bad. They also say that the guns have too high of a contrast with each other, meaning some guns will not be used most of the time, comparing it with CS:GO, somehow forgetting that the PP Bizon and the M249 exist. The "clunky" shooting mechanics is something I have never felt, so I can't really comment on it. The peashooter guns might be in reference to the starter pistol. The sad part is that people in the user reviews have biased reviews, and mine will certainly have biased opinions in it, but i try to put facts behind the opinions. I have seen a person state in their review that there are "too many pistols” and that many of them will never be used after a pistol round because you will always have enough money to buy a rifle and armor. Anyone who has played this game for more than 4 hours can tell you that is wrong. Eco rounds will happen at least twice every game. it's impossible to always have enough to buy rifles and armor. If you lose the pistol round you will need to either not buy anything or decide to Eco, or to force buy, with most choosing the last 2. The amount of pistols are not the problem. Neither is the amount of ARs. 3 assault rifles, both teams can access. Unlike CS:GO that is referenced more than the Bible nowadays due to this game, the amount of guns is much less than the 33 guns that CS:GO has. The negative reviews are all widely spread out, not focusing on a single bad point most of the time. It's either server ping, Vanguard, guns, abilities. Not a lot of reviews i have stumbled upon have had at least 3 of these listed as issues.
    Now after defending the game, I want to pick on it's bad bits.
    The Anti-Cheat. Vanguard is extremely controversial due to it's invasive methods, and people claim it steals info, shuts down drivers without warning, and causes blue screens. I myself have only experienced the blue screen, but the cool down from having Vanguard blue screen my PC is infuriating and tilting.
    The Graphics. One review that i had to translate because it was in Russian says the graphics were reminiscent of old PS2 games, and i can't disagree. I generally prefer CS:GO's graphics and Valorant's seems a bit cartoony and kid-friendly. In fact the reason i got into the Closed Beta so late was because the graphics were putting me off actually trying to get the game.
    The Toxicity. I cannot say that I'm not toxic at times, but having people immediately throwing after losing pistol or screaming when you miss a shot from 50m away is tilting. Riot promised that toxic players will be punished, but I have played against players that sent slurs into the chat and were not punished immediately. Sure they might've been punished later on, but you don't get informed when they are. It makes me lose trust in the moderation of the game, as I will never know if someone who was toxic or blatantly cheating was banned, or got away scot-free.
    The MMR. Games like CS:GO have skill levels. You have Silver, the worst of the worst, and Global Elite, the best of the best. Every game you play should and is balanced skill-wise. In Valorant, it's the opposite. You can go up against people who drop 50 kills in a single game, and meanwhile you and your teammates get at most 18 kills. The MMR is severely imbalanced and if not fixed, could drive away the playerbase.
    The Skins. I won't lie. I'm broke as hell, but the price of the skins are way too high. $70 for a bundle, and another $70 to "upgrade" the skins. This is an extremely scummy way of earning money.

On first viewing, Valorant did not appeal to me. Based on early trailers, it came across as a bland mix of several games and genres that had been done to death. I’d played Counter Strike: Source back in the day and liked it, but felt the gameplay was outdated before Global Offensive had even released: therefore watching trailers for Riot Game’s latest title didn’t spark anything in me. Fast forward a month, and I’m extremely happy to say that I’m completely sold on Valorant. It’s not the most innovative or original game on the market, but it’s an easy contender for my 2020 Game of the Year for its smooth, tactical co-op gameplay.
    Being a successful shooter in 2020 means competing with the growing, saturated market of Battle Royale games. Valorant knows what it is: its unabashedly a game that takes inspiration from Apex Legends, Overwatch and Counter Strike, and it’s not shy of being compared to its predecessors. It’s a perfect mix of games, and Riot Games are geniuses at this: League of Legends was heavily inspired from Dota (a mod originally from Warcraft III), and crafted into a polished, AAA game with addictive mechanics. Riot know how to make a damn good game, and a game that anyone can play. It’s free to play, with in-game purchases (skins). Just about any PC can run Valorant. The game performs like a dream, although the occasional FPS drops at the beginning of rounds can be slightly frustrating.
    Where Valorant really separates itself from other FPS games like Call of Duty or Overwatch, is that although players of any skill level can play or contribute to their team, Valorant is difficult. This is a key thing to know about Valorant. It has a high skill-cap which may not appeal to casual gamers or mon-fps fans. You can’t go into games and run-and-gun, the game can actually be quite stressful when your entire team is relying on you. Therefore, a good player will always be more beneficial to the team, and the better team will always win, which is where the fun really comes from. It rewards skill, which often multiplayer games ignore. Yet, Riot are aware of the difficulty and allow each of the 11 classes unique abilities that can aid the team. If you’re not a confident shooter, choosing Sova (the scouting class) is a solid option. Raze, one of the more offensive classes appeals to aggressive players, as all her abilities are offensive and are directed as causing high damage. I personally find some of the heroes slightly obnoxious in their delivery, yet the varied cast suit the game well and also appeal to younger audiences. The inclusion of class abilities in the “search and destroy” style game-mode, means the game is accessible to almost any gamer. There is also Spike Rush, which is a short, 10 minute game mode which provides a short, sweet version of the traditional game mode. It’s fun, but rarely provides the same level of satisfaction as the main game mode can.
    One of the biggest technical achievements within Valorant is how balanced and varied the abilities are, ranging from generic flashbangs and smoke to Reyna’s “Empress” ultimate which turns her into an unkillable machine, with increased fire-rate and reload speed, or Omen’s ultimate which hides the mini-map. The game’s balance is remarkable, and kudos to Riot for achieving it with such a whacky mix of heroes. Perhaps going forward the game could introduce new game modes, even potentially a battle royale mode. I imagine the skill-based gameplay would work quite well in a competitive BR mode version.
    The moment to moment gameplay is all about patience, and coordination. Playing this game with friends is therefore ideal, using voice comms allows players to assist each other in scenarios. Players are often rewarded for not rushing mindlessly, instead choosing their time to strike. One of the best parts of Valorant is how it truly feels like an e-sport, even in an un-ranked mode. Each round the players are given a fresh start, and with that comes new tactics, new ways to defend or attack. The game - on paper - should be repetitive, yet instead it’s highly addictive due to the desire to win, resulting in one of the most satisfying shooters I’ve played for years. You rarely feel cheated, unlike in Call Of Duty, where low health, coupled by overpowered killstreaks can provide a source of frustration. After coming from mindless multiplayer shooters, Valorant is a pleasant change of pace. It’s important for a game to be fun, above all else. After a long day at work, often gamers just seek 30 minutes of pleasure: games like Red Dead Redemption 2, although impressive and far more ambitious, often feel like chores, but Valorant is an easy game to pick up and play.    … Expand

    Valorant has a high-quality and clean release without any problems. The game will definitely please fans of the competitive FPS genre. The eSports potential of the shooter has only become established over time, and the first tournaments are already planned. However, a high entry threshold requires serious skill training. But this only makes the game more interesting.

    Overall, Valorant is a great game to play if you're a fan of first-person shooter strategy games. But it is also something that someone without experience with games like CS:GO can enjoy and pick up quickly. The Agents are, for the most part, balanced, and the planned addition of more should keep the game fresh. The overall style doesn't really land and the sound design needs to be fixed.
