    Didn't really understand the bashing. Having fun RN on the game. Personally I dislike playing CS and came to Valorant thinking I will hate the game.
    But I found the heroes and abilities gameplay freshening. It's a really slow fps with a short TTK, the maps are good, even if not innovative (the new one is better). Graphics are subjectives but didn't bothered me.

    feels great the gun play is awesome. This fps is very unique with its abilities and the map design the fact you use your abilities as utilities and not as something to kill in my opinion improves skill cap you need to think more than other fps games.

    The game is pretty OK. Really love the art style and the heroes' personalities. However, Vanguard is a HUGE pain in the ass. I've restarted my PC these past weeks (due to issues with Vanguard) more times than I've restarted it last year :/

    Its obvious that this has been made with esports in mind, i just don't see how this can be compelling viewing or exciting to see people plod around a map for 30 minutes.    … Expand

    This game doesn't do anything innovative or fun, it's all taken from other hero shooters, in my experience it doesn't bring anything new to the table and it isn't even the best at what it does.

    The anticheat is invasive and people can already bypass it, the developers posted a few posts on it literally calling themselves god of some sort for designing it but it greatly exposes the user.

    Several issues that could be solved with time I guess are of two different kinds : Gameplay-wise, the agents are still a little bit unbalanced resulting in a duo of Sage and Omen in 100% of battles and an extreme rarity of Breach, whose abilities are very limited damage-wise and are only useful in very specific circumstances. The second issue, which in my opinion is what many users underlined as "emptiness" is the lack of high-budget lore, a trend that was born back in 2007 with TF2 and was standardized by Overwatch. I don't think it will be possible to expect a full mini-series of a 20-minutes long machinima for each character considering that the game is F2P and not 30$ (which is a lot for a broke person like myself) like OW, but I think it is reasonable to hope on something like in-game missions and comics explaining the lore progressively (like TF2).    … Expand

    One of, if not the best shooters on the market. It combines CS:GO with R6 with a OW artstyle and it is a lot of fun! Amazing!

    Lets be clear, the game is not bad, its just not good. The good: It works, well. Things are smooth and the art design is a huge improvement both in terms of aesthetic and visibility over CS.     Recoil is too controllable and all guns are too lethal. More recoil or less lethality is needed.

    In its current state it is not good. It has the potential to be okay. However the inherent identity crisis will likely keep CS players away. And the CS style play will likely turn off players of overwatch and COD style FPS games.    … Expand

    Баги и прочее. За собой в бете заметил парочку,но они никак не мешали игре. Разработчики прислушиваются к комьюннити и фиксят это(в бете это замечалось). Очередной плюс в копилку Риотов.
    Музыкальное сопровождение. Тут похвала,дико кайфовал от нее,даже не выключил(в отличие от той же КС).
    Графика. Честно,мне плевать на нее. Можете сколько угодно кричать про "А ВОТ В КРАЙЗИСЕ ЛУЧШЕ" и т.д,однако картинка приятная. На моем R5 1600 и R9 380x все идет без проблем на максимальных настройках. Жалоб никаких нет,как и на оптимизацию.

    Теперь к минусам.
    Карты. Особенно новая карта,очень раздражает это. Я будто не вижу как-то динамики,смотря на карту. Хотя есть и хорошие карты,на которых приятно играть.
    Отсутствие голосового чата в России. Про это уже говорили,однако могу сказать,что разработчики не виноваты. Благодарить стоит наше любимое Правительство:)
    Ну и больше ничего сказать не могу.

    Игра не является копиркой КС и Овервотча,в нее очень интересно играть(я играл что в первую,что во вторую,но кайф ловлю именно в Валоранте). После КС это какой-то глоток чистого воздуха. Игра заставила меня вспомнить те самые задротские времена в КС,когда я мог и 200 часов за 2 недели наиграть.
    Хейт игры понятен:фанаты КС тут прямо выгорают. Однако от меня игра получает твердые 8/10. Игре есть куда развиваться,и я очень рад,что на рынке появился достойный КС конкурент,который в будущем доберет свое.    … Expand

    Nothing too innovative, but Valorant's a pretty solid and refined tactical shooter. As a fan of CS, this game is a nice breath of fresh air with the agent abilities. Only problems with the game are general map design, and RNG shooting after the first few shots. Other than that: pretty good game!

    Best game I've played in years. I am an avid CS GO player with a background in OW as well and find this to be the most enjoyable and hooking game I've played in my entire life. The game has room to improve, with the addition of maps and agents, but I have no doubt those are coming. For now it is a great game that makes you want to grind and improve. In my opinion the game has fun and easy to learn but hard to master gameplay. I haven't had a hacker in one of my games and never felt like someone is fishy. Met a lot of chill and cool players from just playing the game and communicating in voice chat. Yes it does need a bit more work but it's a F2P that's not a play to win, so you lose nothing from trying it out and if not your thing you can just deleting it.… Expand

    Quite possible one of the worst FPS games I've ever played. You know how chinese companies made like 25 versions of Autochess in a month? This feels like one of those games. A s****y chinese rip off with very bad design elements.

    There is the very valid argument that you can learn the recoil of the weapons - making it skill based.
    Which is great... but all of your natural aiming instincts will be completely overwritten by the stupidity of this RNG aim system they've seemingly adopted.

    Again... if you enjoy milsims or shooting in real life - do not bother with this game.

    Generally, the experience and atmosphere of the game is casual and relaxed.
    The player base is generally friendly and helpful - especially if you tell them you're new or want to learn.

    The character's abilities are a little odd, and a little too similar.

    But if you enjoy listening to music while you play, and want a FPS that's a bit more relaxed with the same competitive spirit as CS then this might be for you.

    Just enjoy dragging your mouse down as you try and guess where the next bullet is going to land.    … Expand

It seems that a more open map design is not compatible with the gameplay as it would encourage the players to forego the abilities in favor of straight gunfights. Agent balance, while always a moving target, is already an issue with clear must-picks for serious play. The graphics including the overall art direction and character design is atrocious and honestly straight up cringey. One of the least visually appealing titles of the past few years.

    Finally RNG gun spray pattern, below average optimization, and ineffective yet extremely invasive anti-cheat round out this embarrassing package of an fps game. Take your time and money elsewhere.    … Expand

    Game play is has a good pace and over games don't last nearly as long as for example a match in CS:GO. Map's are fairly well designed for the way this game is as it has heroes with abilities instead of just guns and grenades. They are designed by CS:GO map designers so there are striking resemblances while having new elements. Gun-play has felt good and only has gotten better with changes over the beta and release, ping is low, and I have yet to come across a cheater. I've found they are mostly found at the highest level of play on the occasion. Vanguard is actually fine. It operates like any other anti-cheat so I don't understand the fuss and it does not eat at my computer's resources and effect anything. I have yet to see what many seem to complain about.
    The only thing I have found to be a possible issue are the individual prices for skins. They are particularly high, the bundles however are within reason as they offer skins on a multitude of weapons at a lower overall price. I can't complain much here though as the game itself is a free to play game so this is completely optional.
    Overall this game is actually extremely well made and Riot is also extremely communicative within the community listening to feedback constantly. It shows that they are really adamant in creating a well rounded and polished fps for the e-sports scene. I am honestly excited and intrigued on how they will progress going forward.    … Expand

    A lot of fun to play, especially with friends. Gunplay feels tight and responsive, and the abilities give an added layer of skill to the game. The only things going against it are its lack of game modes and progression at launch, but with ranked releasing sometime soon I'm excited for the future of the game. Hopefully the esports scene for this game grows as well!

    I always play a FPS game when i have some time ... But with valorant, i played for 3 days and i have no more enjoyment with it. CS:GO can give much more fun, R6 or Overwatch can make the operators system such better ... Valorant don't got mt hearth

The anti cheat system was a feature everyone hated, the cheaters were faster than Even riot themselves. The peekers advantage was kind of true but it's still kinda in the game. And don't Even get me started on the horrible map design. I know volcano is Being forces by epic to make maps that have a reason to exist but it's just not healthy for the game.     What's worse is that many look at it as a competitor to CS however, it offers nothing new so if you enjoy CS there's literally 0 reason to play this game. The gameplay is slow, boring, repetitive with garbage tier level design. Most games can basically be wrapped up by saying everyone takes the same positions, everytime, on the level just sitting around leaving their crosshair ready to fire. Same boring chokepoints, essentially you're just camping the entire time while you pretend there's some high level strategy (there's not, the skill ceiling is so low a toddler can play it).

    People are hungry for a competitive FPS but this isn't it chief and what makes matters worse is even if you're not interested in playing the game but are interested in watching your favorite streamer play, it doesn't matter because watching it is even more slow, boring and dreadful.

    You have kids signing up to go pro in a game that will absolutely not have a long lifetime, at least not in the spotlight, probably won't even last longer than Overwatch League.

    You'll hear some people defend it, great they like it but it's probably one of the most laughable attempts to reskin old ideas in a while.

    There may be a niche community for it that sticks around but I feel bad for streamers and pros that will get into this hardcore because it's never going to be what riot or anyone else wanted.

    Eh. It copies csgo's economy and also has the same gun play as csgo with the addition of ADS. Some of the abilities feel clunky and annoying to use and there are only two maps but the game is still fun to play and is unique enough that I wouldn't call it a clone. More so "heavily inspired". My biggest issue is the anti-cheat is extremely invasive and kinda annoys me.

    Terrible game. Not going to play a game with rootkit malware installed, especially when the game company is fully owned by a Chinese surveillance mastermind, Tencent. On top of that, graphics are pretty trash, not realistic fps shooting when compare to csgo. Its like the weird hybrid that people try to put everything together but failed at pleasant anyone.

    Best multiplayer game i've played in a while. I really don't like the anti hack system. It feels a bit invasive and I really hope they fix that, among few little things. The game is good as hell. CSGO players are just mad.

    Below average f2p CS clone that does not understand what makes CS work.
    Movement and gunplay are on par with any generic chinese free to play shooter. Maps are absolutely terrible and completely miss the point what makes "tactical shooter" maps good.

    Mind blown how terrible one game can be after a month of closed beta to work out the issues. Graphics are bad, gameplay and movement is awful for the type of game they wanted it to be. anti cheat system is just to make extra money off your personal data, connectivity issues alone make me want to uninstall. wouldn't recommend to anyone

    Although the game is not perfect, it's a free game that's fun to play with friends, it's main focus is teamwork, strategy, economy, and good old FPS shooting. I would recommend this game to anyone from a brand new player to an experienced vet!

    Good game. But I think the default weapon skins from this game are not very easy to identifiable for beginners. All of them are the same color, I tried to shoot a guy, but I didn't know that it was an automatic fire mode. This will likely the most basic mistake of the beginner.

A lot of the ops are definitely unbalanced (sage) which i assume will be corrected in the coming patches. they made it a bit more casual, if not semi-competitive which is a pro coming from someone who was **** at other competitive 5v5s (Siege, CSGO). The semi-cartoonish nature of the maps sort of helps make it more interesting, speaking as though it opens up more non-realistic opportunities for mappers, such as Bind's teleporting. Haven switches up the competitive formula by introducing a third site that, contrary to the opinion of many 5v5 veterans, is not difficult to hold with a single semi-experienced player. The rest of the maps (Ascent, Split) are sort of the regular, refined 5v5 formula.

    Great game imo, only thing it lacks is originality and I think it's the main reason for all the negative views. Really hope this game continues to have a loyal player base and not get turned away by CSGO players that hate new games

    Personally at the moment it is not an fps that invites me to play frequently, nor one on which I would spend 2000 or 4000 hours as for CS, in the hope that they will be able to solve the client's problems, that they will create a version that does not necessarily seem simplified cs and in the end in the hope that they will really manage to make their anticheat work as it is extremely invasive and in the current state not very effective against cheaters.    … Expand

    Valorant is a polished tactical shooter that simplifies and streamlines CS:GO's mechanics with the personality and uniqueness of Overwatch's characters. The game is polished, smooth, the sound design is perfect and the guns are well balanced. the game has flaws like the anti-cheat and the training range but it's a really fun game if you are willing to learn it

I also had many maps not load and I would be sitting on a loading screen listening to teammates have engagements while I was apparently still loading assets from my SSD.

    I'm sure all that will be fixed, but much like League of Legends was a DOTA clone, Valorant is a shameless CS:GO rip off with a splash of Overwatch/Paladins; I'm just not sure it adds much to the game really. Now only a certain amount of heroes have a flashbang equivalent or maybe some other **** The problem is, the guns are so deadly that it's not really necessary to use the abilities and it's often faster and easier just to flank especially if you have to open a menu to be able to set it off, there's just no time for that in such a fast paced game.

    Map design is average, they feel like custom maps for Counter Strike with power-ups scattered around. I hate playing on a 3 plant map with 5v5 though, it adds a lot of really boring walking and/or being killed by someone in better cover because team composition doesn't matter if over half of them are dead and had the useful abilities for this situation. the 2 plant spot maps are better, but again I feel like 5v5 is still low for the size. I find the shortcuts an interesting idea and can help with the large maps, but I can't remember seeing one on the 3 plant spot map. Probably the only new addition to CS:GO that I think might actually enhance the idea.

    Will it get better?
    Absolutely.
    Would I still play it without the bugs and server troubles?
    It would depend on how much of the design evolves and the how players play the game (at my level, not e-sport if it gets forced into existence)

    Trash game. This is coming from someone who regularly does very well in the game and its still just not fun. They took CS, and got rid of peekers advantage. So now it is angle holding fest with how many angles can you fall back to before the other team runs out of utility or you get bored enough to push into them. If I had fun **** on bad player I would play this game though. mid to long range duels favor the better aimer and it is hilarious how many non-CS players think me and my group of friends are cheating. I actually think anyone above DMG in CS will get reported at least once a game. Game is too easy and overall needs to be sped up.     Really cool game, in my opinion much better than CS:GO in many aspects. I love it and would recommend it to anyone who looks for really competetive FPS. I also cannot say Its CSGO clone because it has too many diffrent things and the games do not feel the same at all.

People also believe they ripped off both overwatch and CS:GO. 1 Overwatch is too ability dependent and in Val abilities are more like ultility in CSGO, so hardly close to Overwatch in the games combat mechancics. 2 CSGO was Valves Unloved child. The one where the SG was allowed to roam free with its straightforward spray and 100% accuracy on nearly every tap. So, with those things considered, this game being considered as a CSGO killer, well...... I believe it has potential. The aiming and movement is very skill based, a jett could pop her ult and still get shut down by a PUB stomper. So, as a game, and the mechanics which are engraved into it's foundations. The game is fantastic, I love the attention to detail, like the minimalistic graphics, as said by the devs themselves, they chose that route to reduce confusion with models blending into terrain etc, which is why sprays disappear after a certain amount of time and why most walls lack detail. If you aim to play this game competetively, that is a feature you will worship, if this game style was on triple A graphics, it would only disperse confusion and lead to a more tiliting experience. I imagie most of those complaining are either loyal CS fans, or from else where, those who play CS and understand its faults will appreciate Valorant. Simplistic animations, no-one can complain because in cs if you had high movement animations you were scuicidal. So lets move on. The Esports scene in my opinion is setup for a new generation or the current youth, the cartoon style is to appeal to youth, rather than looking like an aged game. So all you oldies out there can stop reading thank you. Finally, something which few Devs can stand behind, experience in te game and dedication of time for the future. Devs promised years of life in Valorant, and i imagine the game engine will evolve as Unreal engine does too! One dev, Volcano, an Ex cs player and creator of Cache, litereally puts heavy hours into the game as passion rather than job, he and another 4, destroyed big streamers shroud summit etc in a 5v5. So, Valorant. Overall a quality upgrade from CS but more commercialised and appealing to mainstream titles, setup for a large Esports scene and constantly looking for balance. They aren't supporting 32:9 aspect ratio monitors, nor 21:9. Now this wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't massively hypocritical. I personally have a 32:9 screen and I have to deal with enormous black bars to play. I can't use that space forThis game is terrible for one main reason for me. So the perceived advantage that I'm receiving is considered "undesirable" however people who have high refresh rate screens whom have a colossal advantage over those who just have 60hz screens is fine... there's a double standard there that is indicative of a development team that have no idea what they're doing.
    It's one thing to try and create a fair environment for players. It's another to alienate a portion of a community just for having a certain type of monitor. If they were truly trying to create a fair environment they would have to follow these steps as well:
    1. anyone with more than 30ms on ping should immediately be kicked as it creates an unfair playing experience for those who have good ping. (peeker's advantage gets worse )
    2. anyone who has a screen with a refresh rate higher than 60 should have they framerate capped. Other wise there would be an advantage for the person with the higher refresh rate screen.
    3. anyone playing with a DPI/sens value over 1600 should be unable to play as having an input speed that fast is disadvantageous. this is not debunk-able. It's fact.
    4. Anyone with no mic should not be able to play the game as being unable to communicate with your teammates would create an unfair playing environment for your teammates.
    5. Anyone who's total input time is over 50ms from click to frame should also be unable to play as it's not conducive to a fair environment if you get a team mate using an old ball mouse that's wireless on a TV.
    6. Anyone who has done any colour correction to the screen's image should be banned as they are exploiting the games colour palette to gain an advantage against those in low light/make people clearer than they are. (Because we have to be fair here, so screw colour blind people)
    7. Anyone caught rebinding keys should be immediately be banned for cheating as creating a more ergonomic environment for one player than the other would make the game "unfair".

    this list is by no means exhaustive. there are plenty more things you could add that create an "unfair" environment. So to say that "having an ultra-wide or super ultra-wide is considered an unfair advantage" you must necessarily accept everything above as the truth as well. There is a reason that counter-strike allows for any monitor resolution. It's because some people want to play games. they don't want to compete. I'd say that that is infact the majority. I bought my monitor as I'm a programmer and the extra space is very useful. Why am I being punished for a choice that is entirely unrelated to the game.
    As a hilarious aside. League of Legends, the other game riot makes, supports ultra wide and super-ultra wides. This means that in league I can see almost from nexus to lane if I'm on the top side or bottom side of the map. So within the same company, there's an obvious hypocrisy.

    I will not be playing this game as there's a clear lack of intelligence from the development team and it's obvious that all they were doing when they made their initial announcement was using buzz words to bait the ill informed into playing the game. Saying "tick-rate' doesn't mean that the designers are smart or care about the player's experience. This review should be more than enough to prove that they indeed do not care.
    I could go into the fact that the shooting mechanics are silly, for example: having randomized wiggle on a spray pattern after 5 shots is ridiculous. But I shall leave that here. Suffice to say that Escape from Tarkov will remain my main game along side Counter Strike. the game is broken and the developers are legitimately bad at making games.    … Expand

    Valorant's gun mechanics are very similar to CS:GO. Valorant has different agents all having different abilities (toned down overwatch abilities). I was fortunate to be able to play it during the beta to get a feel for it before the official launch and i would say this is the most fun game i have played in the past few months.     I tried CSGO. Was very fun in a 5 Stack but as soon as I played alone I got very frustrated. Felt way too hard to learn and the UI/Buymenue is **** and outdated.
    I tried Rainbow6Siege . Was fun. But learning all the maps didnt feel great.
    Then I tuned in Valorant. I really enjoy it. It runs smoothly and it is soooo easy to learn for a beginner like me. Straight forward abilities without    I tried CSGO.     This game is excellent. There are very few faults to Valorant and it's definitely a strong 10. I was lucky enough to test it during beta and now playing the game live, it's still awesome. It has the competitiveness that a hardcore shooter needs, but it also allows for a lot more plays than just your regular running and gunning.

    By far the worst and most unenjoyable games I've ever played. The characters have some features that are just flat out dumb for the game, making their "competitive" shooter completely unskilled. I advise everyone to not run the game as their anti-cheat is sketchy and there's many cheaters still. Avoid this game at all costs.

    Antiquated black F***** bars what is this the 1920's not 2020. Give UW monitors a proper resolution and not bungle them with the only other thing you don't condone which are cheats! Until then this game can go sit on the trash pile.

    Some of the most fun I've had in a game in a long time. IMO the graphics/ gameplay are better than CSGO and I get the sense that people are sort of just bitter that CS has a competitor now. Some small improvements still needed but given that its the first week its great.

The agents are pretty cool, lots of different abilities and play styles but I almost feel forced to play a certain way due to the fact that the developers want it to be very team based, which is great when it works but easily one of the most frustrating and boring games to play when it doesn't. Without a competent team, having a good time is completely random. Solo queuing especially in ranked just feels terrible, and apparently that's by design as the developers want people to queue with people and 5 stack. If you don't have any friends to play with, this game will probably be frustrating to play.

    Overall, the game feels very unpolished. It's getting there but I was very disappointed when they announced the full release as I don't think the game is ready. Map design, gun balance, and ability balance are the biggest issues they need to tackle aside from people's critique of performance and the anti cheat. If you're looking for a new fps to try this one may be fun but it definitely isn't finished and there may be things you dislike that I didn't mention in my review.    … Expand

If it isn't one of those two things, then they're just over-exaggerating the bug issue - by the way, I've never encountered any bugs whatsoever besides a Cypher cam glitch ONCE - which is ridiculous seeing as the game was in BETA where bugs are *meant to be found, tested, and fixed* up until like two days ago. *Please* give this game a shot if it seems even a little bit interesting to you, as I believe literally anyone could really enjoy it.     I tried playing Jett (she's a character with wind based moves that help with movement) and I was still disappointed by the slowness. You gain money each round that you spend on items, armor, and abilities. I was pretty mad I could only dash once per round when its like my only draw to the character. Maybe make abilities something that recharge overtime instead of onetime use per purchase?
    The art direction in this game is pretty lackluster as well. The Fortnite-esque look is kinda lame imo. If you want your game to stand out, make it have a visually distinct style.
    The game's voice chat is good, so coordinating attacks works well, but when you finish a match, it kinda feels like you didnt really accomplish anything. Despite ranking up and unlocking stuff, it feels kinda hollow. The winning vibe for matches needs to be improved.
    I can see how this might appeal to some people, but it just overall looks and feels too clunky to be enjoyable to me. Maybe the streamers on Twitch paid to advertise Valorant are the real reason people were excited about it. If a friend wants to play and theres nothing else to do, I might play a few rounds of this, but I'd never be interested in playing it on my own again.    … Expand

    The game has taken what was good about CSGO, left out what was bad, and built on top of the good to create a refreshing new look at the tac-shooter genre. It is an absolute pleasure to play. I haven't been this excited for a game since Halo 2 way back in the day. Keep up the great work, Riot Games!

Invisibility and heal to max + sheilds as well as a large area flash that lasts 5 seconds on the newest agent and the noob-tube with 4 nades (2 blast, 1 nade, 1 roomba nade). Meanwhile the original set in the beta had a few smokes and flashes with damaging abilities doing less than 100 dmg (sova dart and ult) and your flashes are not only hard to land but also stuns for only 1 second. Healers are never a good thing in FPS. Being able to track who and how many are low is a core CS mechanic, but a healer will almost always be full health when you see them again. Utility doesn't mean **** for casuals who play solo too. This game also doesn't have a casual mode.… Expand

There is no sense of reward after hours of playing. Don't play this hot garbage trash when you can play overwatch or cod or cs go.     I played this game from Beta. I'm not a CS:GO fan but I play some games of CS and fell really hardcore. Valorant is different it easier. The game does have some issues and bugs. But the dev team always listen and satisfied gamer need.

    Yes, Valorant has a few issues, but it is actually an amazing game. Most of the issues in my opinion is mainly because of how new it is. Most of the haters on here are mainly toxic and are trying to ruin this game. I say the best advice is to just download the game and try it yourself, since it is free.

    Valorant has a high-quality and clean release without any problems. The game will definitely please fans of the competitive FPS genre. The eSports potential of the shooter has only become established over time, and the first tournaments are already planned. However, a high entry threshold requires serious skill training. But this only makes the game more interesting.

    Overall, Valorant is a great game to play if you're a fan of first-person shooter strategy games. But it is also something that someone without experience with games like CS:GO can enjoy and pick up quickly. The Agents are, for the most part, balanced, and the planned addition of more should keep the game fresh. The overall style doesn't really land and the sound design needs to be fixed.
