    Skyrim is the next instalment of the Elder Scrolls Saga and is a fantasy open world roleplay game, where you get to choose the direction your character and interact with a diverse environment. Progress and improve your skill with all the 18 different skill trees to match your play style, learn countless spells and collect powerful weapons and armour to improve your arsenal.
    You start off    Skyrim is the next instalment of the Elder Scrolls Saga and is a fantasy open world roleplay game, where you get to choose the direction your character and interact with a diverse environment. Progress and improve your skill with all the 18 different skill trees to match your play style, learn countless spells and collect powerful weapons and armour to improve your arsenal.
    You start off as a prisoner of the empire, about to be executed after being captured when crossing the border, you are saved however when a dragon burns the town and you flee with a stormcloak or an imperial soldier to a town of Riverwood, from here you embark on a journey to kill the dragon Alduin, the world eater, to do this you learn a vast array of shouts, spells and gather many weapons and sets of armour as you progress. Once you have completed the story there are many side quests for you to do, from joining a group of assassins to collecting artefacts of powerful deities and even becoming a vampire of a werewolf. The characters you meet when on your journey feel unique despite the limited voice actors/actresses
    Skyrim has an amazing character creator where you can choose how your character looks. You can choose from a range of different races each with their different perks, for example a Khajiit for example, a race of cat people have increased damage in fist fights because of their claws and have a night vision ability. The game is very easy to pick up, with simplistic controls and varying modes of difficulty, as you progress the enemies you encounter become stronger with you and this keeps the game challenging even if you have reached a high level.
    If you have finished with the game as a whole and have nothing else to do you can install mods made by the community, from dinosaurs to making your own city, the possibilities are endless.

    This is my favorite game. I enjoy reading a lot of myths, legends, and fantasy, and this game made me feel like I was in one of my books. The only problem I have with it is that there are no combos. Not MK combos, I dislike those, but I wanted a fighting style similar to Kingdoms of Amalur. Otherwise, like I said, this is my favorite game.

    I've played the game about three times and in contrast to others I have actually finished the main storyline once. It was quite a great time, I did not have mods installed and followed the main quests mostly, doing some minor along the way. I remember that run fondly and sometimes get back to these memories.

    Now, the other times I never finished the game, and usually dropped the main storyline after I got dohahkiin powers. The first time I used mods I went all out and have played for quite some time. The last time I went back to the side quests I never knew existed and the DLCs and used just the immersive mods that improved upon the game and its world. That time I felt empty and realized the game has never been as great as the others have painted it.

    The game world does not really change, there are no groundbreaking player choices. Whether you go with Stormcloaks or Imperials is just a matter of liking racist natives or Roman LARPers better that the others. The grand battles are a let down, and the war is all talk and no game, really.

    Most of the quests are just fetch/kill/explore dungeon quests with no real essence. I really hope Bethesda steps up their game after the Microsoft buyout.    … Expand

    The game is graphically pretty good, even for the parameters of 2018, and for its time, it was a reference for the genre, a masterpiece that no player forget. You never forget when you first climbed the mountain and saw the snow being projected by the wind down the hill.
    The soundtrack its impressive and you have hours of dialogue and story to listen. You almost can talk to every single person in the game that they have something to say to you.
    Game mechanics are obviously limited, compared to current titles (I do remind I'm reviewing this in 2018), and it is still possible to find bugs or side quests that do not work right. However it is very important to note that there are community-corrected mods that do not affect the achievements of the game (in any case, be aware of them before using them).

    Skyrim is a fantastic open world game that should be a reference to every open world games. The size matters but the most important thing is, without a doubt, the content. And in Skyrim at every step you find something to do. It's easily a 200 hours plus journey if you want.

    Sem dúvida um dos melhores jogos que já joguei, com uma história que te prende, side quests incríveis, ótimos gráficos, trilha sonora impecável, e uma gameplay que nunca enjoa, a única coisa que deixa a desejar é o sistema de batalha, principalmente o corpo a corpo, com toda certeza conseguiu superar seu antecessor Oblivion, e ganhou mais um GOTY para Bethesda, mais que merecido.

    I've had a love hate relationship with Skyrim over the years. When I first played it in 2017 on my old xbox it was pretty much the only game played that whole year and it quickly became one of my favorite games of all time, however its been almost five years since the first time I completed the game and in that time I've had the luxury of playing breath of the wild that pretty muchI've had a love hate relationship with Skyrim over the years. I think this game suffers the most from the amount of time that Bethesda was given. Five years was not enough time to make a game of this caliber. If you were to take off the rose tined glasses of the past you would see that a lot of the core mechanics of a typical elder scrolls game have been watered down a substantial amount. Factions no longer have ranks which removes the sense of progression in their questlines. Towns like Whiterun, Windhelm, Raven rock, Solitude, Markarth, and Riften all look visually distinct from each other, though the fact they are mostly referred to as cities is laughable considering their scale. The rest of the towns are completely identical to each other with Winterhold being the most disappointing to me. While I think that the magic and range combat is a step up from oblivion the melee combat is sloppy and unrefined, it feels like you're on ice skates. Now the biggest issue with this game. Bethesda always got away with Buggy **** like this game and I'm glad that it blew up in their face with Fallout 76. If you see this review, please don't get the impression that I hate this game. I think that all Bethesda games before fallout 4 are far much better than the garbage open world games that Ubisoft releases every year, this game included. The open world itself is amazingly detailed with each area of the game being far more interesting than the procedurally generated forests of the previous game. The music is on point as ever and the story while not as good as oblivion is presented far better and of course the side quests remain as the greatest element of the Elder Scrolls games. Therefore its one of the better open world games I've played and (Hot take) I find to be more enjoyable than the Witcher 3 >:) .

Чтобы её насладиться вдоволь надо очень много времени, чего я ни сделал. Как раз из-за проблемы времени. Я знал, что если зайду в нее, то играть надо долго и проводить там минимум по 7 часов в день. Я так сделать не мог, ни в то время как купил ее, ни сейчас. Зато я наиграл 7 часов, знаю что это то же самое, что и вообще не поиграть. Но из увиденного мною, я могу сконструировать свой отзыв. Возможно не сильно объективный, но все же постараться можно. Игра такого масштаба требует чтобы в нее наиграли достойно, после чего сказали какая она крутая или нет. Я наиграл мало, но точно могу сказать, что она крутая.

    Bethesda всегда радовала своих фанатов играми с открытым и довольно проработанным миром, чего только стоит серия Fallout, которую я просто обожаю. Вести полноценную и долгую речь о пятой части TES я не могу, и даже не потому что мало наиграл, я не все испытал (в некотором понимании это из-за времени, да согласен). Различного рода мелочи, развлечения, случайны прохожие. Вот эти элементы мне понравились больше всего, ими я даже успел насладиться в некотором роде. Мне очень понравилось, что можно зайти в таверну и заказать выпивку и музыку, переночевать там. А с новым днем отправиться в новое путешествие, покоряться новым приключением. И ведь действительно, ты ни когда не знаешь что тебя ждет, мир очень огромен.

    Масштабы игрового мира поражают, как только ты начинаешь его исследовать. Даже не в том суть, что его очень трудно обойти весь. Гораздо интереснее будет сталкиваться с абсолютно рандомными ситуациями (это кстати можно увидеть в Ведьмаке, я думаю этот элемент всем понравился). Эти ситуации тебе создают дополнительные приключения, возможность выбора последствий от ситуации. Кстати выбор тоже может в корне повлиять на будущее. Кажется мелочи, но задумываешься. Про сюжет, прокачку, навыки, магию и что-то в этом духе, я не уверен что правильно смогу изложить свои мысли, поэтому не буду. Но по правде говоря, это та игра в которую нужно действительно играть, попробовать каждому самому и выражать свои эмоции от игры.

    До конца надеюсь, что это объективная оценка. Исходя из-за неполного обзора по всем фронтам, я думаю данная оценка заслуженна. Как я говорил выше, играть нужно по-любому. Может даже мне в будущем что-то щелкнет, и я захочу провести в ней месяцок, другой.    … Expand

    Well for me it's very boring. 90 % of quests that i stumbled upon are copy and paste fetch quests. At least crafting and perks are cool.

Skyrim is beautiful and big province of Tamriel and after so many years I still find something new. You can choose how you want to play.     While the main story is hardly as epic as Oblivion's, it's the various side quests that make up for it.

But the story just seemed dull in comparison, (Dragons... meh), bow gameplay was too easy, sidequests not nearly as unique and interesting as I could have hoped. Still, I find myself returning to this game, and I have played around 500It took me a while to actually start playing this game, because it just felt wrong compared to Oblivion. Many people say that it will never be too late to play it, some still make various add-ons for it, but this is not entirely objectively. I agree with all hands and feet that this is a great game masterpiece... but of its time. It was created in 2011 and improved in 2016. Somewhere then I played it. But no matter how much you put on a makeup, no matter how much you paint the walls and improve the graphics with "special editions" - this is still the skeleton from 2011. Sooner or later it will have to be released, because there will be something to compare with, no matter how cool the story, mechanics and atmosphere are. So don't waste that time.
    A huge open world, a huge variety of long and short adventures. There are so many nooks and crannies and atmospheric places and events that even after a month of intense play and searching with a magnifying glass, you still have something to do. A good system for skills with upgrade by using them... Since Skyrim was created, I haven't met as good game as that one of this genre and scope. Perhaps the third Witcher, but it's "a slightly different industry".
    The only thing I can scold Skyrim for is a lot of nasty bugs, which, I think, were later fixed.    … Expand

    Skyrim is one of the best games, i have ever played. The dialogs are great, the leveling, the crafting, the gameplay and everything else. But the developers should have done more bugfixes so far.

    One of the best RPG games I've ever played. Sure, it's not perfect, e.g. the quests are sometimes repetitive and the main storyline isn't all that great, but the open world, freedom of choice and art style are excellent. I get why some people dislike Bethesda's style, but for me, it's something special.

Not bad Winterhold college quests. But Dark Brotherhood worse than in Oblivion in my opinion. Thieves Guild unremarkable). Amazing Dawnguard and Dragonborn dlc.    Best of 2011 year. But Oblivion is still better for me :(

    The Elder Scrolls series, as always, is a game that fascinates you with its wide open world, its graphics are quite sufficient for its year and its character development is a very enjoyable game. A must-play for those who love open world role-playing games and old fantasy themes.

    This game set the bar for open world RPG games. I can see the mod support will keep it alive until ES:6 is released.

    The witcher 3 did surpass Skyrim in my eyes, though the fact that i'm a huge witcher fan boy and i still love them equally should shed some light on how amazing Skyrim is...

    One of the best games ever made. Simple as that.

    A great game to lose yourself into, one of my favorites, a lot of good open world things like side quests and gameplay variety, skills and exploring and top notch and some of the best gaming has to offer.

    Suffers from:
    - bugs
    - bad combat
    - dumbed down RPG
    - bad story
    - forgettable characters

    Oblivion < Skyrim < Morrowind

    9/10 despite all the flaws, yea its that good, a must play.

    Great game, everyone has played this game on every console you can think of from the 360 to the switch, to the toaster, there isn't an electronic that doesn't have support for this game, and that's saying something, I have a few complaints but the first and foremost is that the battle system is basic as **** and it really shows, but everything else is top of the line.

    Honestly, this is the game I have had the most raw fun in, despite the clearly superior features of other, newer games and RPGs. I will always be able to go back to this game to have real fun, but I will, and already have, gotten bored of the newer games.

    I think it is in my top 10 games ever. Back in 2011 it was a really innovative game world. Nowadays it lacks a bit of gameplay mechanics from let's say the witcher, but the game is still very much fun.

The combat is fun, the skill system is better than in any other installment. My main gripe with the game is how you interact with the NPCs, and the story in general. In contrast, Oblivion knew when to be serious and where not to be, you can still take it seriously in the serious moments, and laugh in the silly ones, the Sheogorath quests are a good example of comedy in Oblivion done right. Sheogorath in Skyrim isn't as mischievous as he was in Oblivion, and it still somehow feels like there's tension as if you're doing the Alduin questline. Now to the NPC interactions, Bethesda really went crazy with the essential NPCs, even the random beggar on the street is essential, even if he's not related to the main quest line at all. Why would Delphine or Jarl Balgruf be essential? They're just middleman characters who don't do things themselves, they have you or another smart character do it for them. The fact that you couldn't just progress through the story without these annoying characters being in the way is really contradictory to the freedom the game advertises. But it's still a good game regardless.… Expand

    I just finished it. Yes it was released in 2011 and yes it's a franchise and should've played the parts before. Skyrim ruined modern Open-world games for my like TW3 and RDR2 because i thought they introduced something new in Open-world games. But no! Skyrim did it before them long ago. I played it with mods and honestly i think i wouldn't play it otherwise since it's somehow outdated.I just finished it. Yes it was released in 2011 and yes it's a franchise and should've played the parts before. Skyrim ruined modern Open-world games for my like TW3 and RDR2 because i thought they introduced something new in Open-world games. But no! Skyrim did it before them long ago.     I remember the times of Daggerfall, Morrowind. And when the Oblivion was released it was already a disaster and downfall. Skyrim is not an exception. There is a huge list of stupidity happening in this game:
    - you are FORCED to travel around different shop owners to sell your merchandise. If you do not do it, you will be always overweighted;
    - all the caves are almost the same. You follow the route, fight the zombies, come to the final boss, pull the lever and appear near the entrance. Taps are visible, money not a big deal there, also learn new words. Ok. Same BS as in Oblivion except for shouts;
    - physical issues. It's just a disaster. Objects fly around, sometimes you need NoClip cheat to fly through the door. Thousands of threads on forums about that issue and NOTHING done to fix it in patches;

    The story is boring. The game is just boring. Morrowind was the whole new world. In Oblivion you at least could upgrade your athletics and acrobatics. Here you can crawl mountains without training anything, here you are slow. You should be a werewolf to run faster. Falling almost never causes any damage.

    Just one huge waste of time. I didn't even finish. Deleted and watched the rest on youtube. Recommend you doing the same to save your time.    … Expand

    I usually avoid to give 10/10 on subjects I review. But we are talking about Skyrim right now. There is no word to describe how I personnaly carry this game in my heart. This is an unavoidable classic. I must have spent more than 300 hours on this. Visuals are good (actually they were awesome but I first played it 3 or 4 years after its release), story is deep, complex and immersive plusI usually avoid to give 10/10 on subjects I review. But we are talking about Skyrim right now. There is no word to describe how I personnaly carry this game in my heart. This is an unavoidable classic. I must have spent more than 300 hours on this. Visuals are good (actually they were awesome but I first played it 3 or 4 years after its release), story is deep, complex and immersive plus being almost endless. The game allows you to make your own choices about a lot of things, making each game yous start really diiferent than the last. Customization is really cool: you can change your outfit, the way you resolve quests, people you consider as friends or not, where to live, how to decorate, adopting a child or not, getting married, becoming a werewolf or vampire,... The map is huge with varied environments. The 'Dawnguard' and 'Dragonborn' add-on's do bring even more discoveries and atmospheres.

    The fact that there are so many gratifying ways to progress all along the game just makes me crazy. Side quests interact with the main one (even in a bad way when you realize you killed someone being necessary later). Modding is insane: thanks to NexusMod you can make the game revive when you thought it was dead. The bestiary is awesome and detailed, even if draugr's are way too repetitive in dungeons. Dubbing and acting is awesome for each necessary character. Soundrtrack is oviously incredible, immersive and powerful. Interface and HUD are ugly but you can easily change it on PC.    … Expand

    I don't see this game as a masterpiece, but it is great. It's lost a bit of it's charm over time, but when it was released it was pretty awesome. The modding community helped it stay relevant for awhile.

    Hikayen muazzam. Senden çok derin, ağzımı açık bırakacak bi' hikaye istememiştim. Sen bana destan sundun, mitleri yaşattın. Eski çağların kaybolan defterlerine bi' yerlerde isim yazdırdın. Kahraman yaptın beni, durduk yere Fus Ro Dah! diye bağırdım olur olmaz yerlerde.

    Grafiğin pek iyi değildi, ama olsundu. Her ne kadar Special Edition adı altında 'yenilendi!' diyerek başka bir sürüm çıkarıp pek bir fark yaratmasan da, oluru bu dedim. Zaten yeterdi. Eski çağı en ince pixeline kadar yaşamasam da benim için problem yoktu.

Although the game does get a bit uninteresting after that, which is caused by the really boring quest design, and the sleepy voice acting from almost every character (except Cicero). However, if you've played games like The Witcher 3 and expect those kinds of things, don't. In terms of story and storytelling, this game is nothing like The Witcher 3. Both main and side stories are clunky and you won't even care about them except for a few questline.

    2- If you're an oldschool RPG fan who've played and liked games like Baldur's Gate, Planescape, Icewind Dale or even Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect, this game might not be for you. It's still a good game that you may enjoy, but don't expect anything like the games I've just mentioned. Combat is very action oriented with no room for tactics and all. Dialogue options can vary, but they're definitely not rich, it's mostly your typical "yes, no" type of options. (There's not even sarcastic yes.) However, if you're into tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons, the game gives you a HUGE chance to roleplay, even in vanilla.

    There are some good amount of class and profession variations that you can do to roleplay. You want to be a merchant who only trades by wandering town to town? You can do it. You want to be a fierce warrior who earns his living by killing monsters and bandits? Sure, go ahead. You want to be an evil elf with a secret lair who secretly kills nords because of an old trauma? Hell yeah you can do that. You want to be a loving family dad while being a town guard? You might need a few console commands but yes, you can also do that. I've played this game with anything from "imma go murder every single man in this land" to "I'm just a peaceful dude who lives in a shack and sells rabbit meat" and I can easily say that every playthrough has its own delight.

    Although, if you want to experience this game to the fullest, you definitely should install mods. Nearly all Bethesda games have an awesome engine in terms of mod support, so there are thousands of awesome mods for all your tastes that you can download for free and you don't even need a good PC to use most of them.

    Overall, awesome game with a lot of opportunity for roleplaying, albeit with a mediocre gameplay/story.

    8/10 in Vanilla.

    Encounters with NPC´s feel lively and dialogues are well written, even tho the dialogue options are minimalistic most of the time, which can give you a feeling of restriction. The main-story is good, not great but definitely good, but the quests and storylines I enjoyed most were from the DLC`s. You feel important within those stories. You are a small piece of a bigger issue, trying to accomplish your goals, the outcome depends on your actions and it feels like you are climbing the ranks with every small step you take.

    The many different playstyles Skyrim offers vary from being a farmer living in peace and silence, over a wizard/necromancer with magic spells to a warrior who kills his enemies with sheer force or stealthy with intelligence and perfidiousness. Fighting can feel kind of dull in this game, but the many options how you level your character gives you a huge variety of different playstyles and you can just mix it up a lot.

    The game is kind of buggy sometimes- NPC´s running in walls, objects flying around, getting stuck and so on... Nonetheless even tho it has it´s issues it´s a great game. Overall this is a must-play game for every RPG/Fantasy-Fan and i would definitely recommend to play it!

    My all-time favorite game, the MVP of the RPG. But I still can't give it a full 10, because even ten years and a dozen ports later it's still a buggy messy. To me, it's been so long those are just beloved features. I still think it's a **** practice for a video game company to not bother to fix their own game if they're gonna re-release it that many times.

    Epic game! For RPG nerds. One of the longest living games I can think off, a great modding community which constantly 'updates' the game and turn it into something else. Look into Skyrim Together!

    How can describe, it was a gaming revolution for that time. This game is better than every other game in every category than the games released before it or in the same year. You can be roleplayer or action lover. This game has all.

    Although I personally love this game, I can't in good faith give it above a 7. The game without mods looks really bad, the main story is honestly really bad aside from a one or two moments so overall I recommend not touching it. The combat is quite basic but it gets the job done.

    Although the main quest is hot garbage, the World and guild quests are great. Skyrim is also a great game for role playing because of the quantity and overall quality of its side content. The world is dense and full of stories to find explained through environmental details rather than dialog. Or maybe you just want to mod the game until it runs at 2 fps. (like me)

    The amount of content I can pull out of this game is insane! Lots and lots of hours full of interesting story and fun gameplay and an amazing world to explore.

Геймплей примітивний, від чого баталії не викликають емоцій. Вбивати на кожному кроці дракона з лука, така собі атмосфера.     Writing this review now in 2020, and for me its still a 10/10 still after 9 years, played it when it came out and i was 12 back then, this was an incredible game for the time it came out, one of the all time bests :)

    The base game is amazing, but the mods really improve it a lot, a LOT.
    Skyrim is a one-time experience, and it is a great one. they really **** that up with the paid mod stuff, but i think thats in the past now that they took it back

    This is my favourite game ever. It was the first game I ever played nonstop when it first came out. I just couldn’t get enough. The music, the environments, the quests, I just loved it.

    This is a great game, a great RPG, but I feel like it's a tad overrated. It might be technically superior to Oblivion and past TES titles, but I don't like the menu interface and GUI in general. I understand they went with the design so it would work/look as best as it could on multiple platforms, but that doesn't make it any better for me, the player.     I have owned this title on both xbox and now steam, and every one in a while I will boot it up again to check out mods, but for all this game does right, it still won't ever replace TES IV in my mind.

    Side quests/activities - 10 (admittedly, building your own house via dlc is pretty fun I found)

    Skyrim is one of the best RPG of all time it has all the elements of an rpg game whether its quests, survival or story it has acheived its milestone creating an example for modern rpgs, there are some glitches here and there but it wont be noticed because the player will start to live as the character.

    Unfortunately, Skyrim trips and falls on its own (most probably, to make the cool-sounding deadline of 11-11-11) and just before it reaches perfection as the ultimate specimen of its genre, it self-destructs in a crucial aspect of game design: the interface and the peripheral components (inventory, journal, map, etc)... but that is not to say that Skyrim is anything but a truly majestic, epic RPG that will suck you right in its cosmos.
