Apr 26, 2015A horrible day.Paid modding is added now and is killing the modding community.Once an ok game with mods is now utter trash.
Thank you Valve and Bethesda for ruining the modding community. -
Apr 23, 2015Now with 1,000,000% more paid DLC, first horse armor now this. Greedy company is, greedy. I wouldn't buy another game from them if they paid me to take it.
-
Apr 26, 2015You know to me skyrim was a real deal I would pay 50 bucks plus the expansion and get tons of beatuful free mods to enjoy and hours of new gameplay.
Now what you get is chance to make Valve even more rich by stealing money to the modders and asking players to pay for stuff which was born free! -

Apr 25, 2015game has gone far above advertised price with the monetization of everything with little or none going to the content creators and there is no quality control on portions of the game being charged for.

Apr 26, 2015This once was a great game, but now it is just a lab for the most **** experiment ever, to now pay for mods. There is a reason why mod stand for both "moderator" and "modification", because both of them do their job for free.

Apr 26, 2015Thank Valve for destroying PC gaming's very soul. R.I.P. you mediocre waste of hdd space. The mods that once brought on the top are being strip from your skin as we speak. And I can't bear to look at such suffering.
Especially when it is your very own family that do it. -
Apr 26, 2015After what Bethesda did to the modding community (allowed paid modding) on a game that was already stripped down and unfinished, I have to give a poor review in hopes that they remove this.

Dec 15, 2011This game is a terrible console port, and each successive patch just breaks the game further. It handles PC hardware as poorly as possible. My PC, which can run Crysis and Crysis 2 both at consistently over 60fps, sometimes struggles with Skyrim at it's most basic settings. It is poorly engineered and the PC port of this game is a joke.

Nov 12, 2011Abysmal! I can't believe the high scores this game is receiving. This is one of the worst console to PC ports I've ever had the misfortune to play. This game might be acceptable on the console, but on the PC it's just atrocious! I'm sorry, but I cannot recommend this game to any PC gamer.

Nov 12, 2011No STATS. No character doll. Stupid consolish interface. Outdated DirectX9 engine. Lot of low-res textures. Sometimes funny psychics. Combat is dull and simple. etc. etc.

Nov 11, 2011Absolutely awful. Try remapping the keys to the keypad and you get "this key is reserved," even though it really isn't. The graphics are absolutely awful, the mouse control is absurd, and textures are washed out and bland. How did this hogwash get released for PC? Why did Bethesda even bother? I get the feeling that most of the reviews here saying "GAME OF THE YEAR" are payed reviewers.
-
Nov 18, 2011it's a well done game in some ways, mainly if you're a console gamer.
the menu designs are just horrible on pc, why can't i use my mouse???
graphics are sub par, over hyped, and the character progression is painfully simple.
i got bored and frustrated after only 6 hours in :/ -

Apr 26, 2015I am giving this game a very low score due to the recent announcement of paid mods.
how wonderful! That way when a paid mod (DLC) breaks valve/bethesda can just put their hands up and direct your anger back at some poor modder. All while they take a 75% cut.
disliked, thumbs down, unsubscribed -

Dec 20, 2013I totally don't get this game, it is way over hyped. The graphics are not brilliant, the game play it pretty weak,, the fight scenes are less than desirable. Unless I am missing something, this is no more than a cult game. Sub standard!!!

Mar 23, 2014I have tryed it multiple times yet can get to like this game. The story is boring to me and nothing put me into the game. I always only think to skip the dialog as it look empty. Combat aren't really difficult, just use your friend to tank forever and kill it from the side. Bad story, no difficulty, faulty menu. Happy for those who liked it. This game sucks for me.

Apr 26, 2015I used to love this game then i got an Paid Mod arrow in my knee.
Then they walked over my body and said "Modders who worked on their ass to received 25% of the profit while we didn't do sh*t and finally laugh all the way to the bank with the rest of the profit". -
Apr 26, 2015In what way, shape or form do paid mods (with only 25% of earnings going toward the creator, mind you) help the modding, skyrim or overarching gaming community? Why can't we just donate? Why do Valve and Bethesda get a 75 PERCENT CUT from content they didn't even create, promote, endorse, support, etc? This is an unforgivable move. Forget Valve, forget Bethesda, forget Steam.

Apr 26, 2015Without mods this game would be a 6 or 7.
With mods this game is a 10/10
but, With paid mods that are shattering a once great community it's a 0/10
.. -
Apr 26, 2015Paid mods will destroy the pillar of PC gaming, this needs to stop. this will not only hinder this amazing game but every single gamer as a whole do not let this happen or approve this practice. No to paid mods.
-
Apr 26, 2015
-
Apr 26, 2015Paid mods are the most toxic thing to the gaming community and mods are what made Skyrim, without them the game would be mediocre at best. Likely Bethesda/ZeniMax making up for their epic eso failure, greedy basturds!
-
Apr 26, 2015Designed to bleed as much money as possible. Best selling Bethesda title of all time, primarily thanks to modders. Wants to take profits from their work because they screwed up TESO: makes Skyrim a money making scheme off of other people's work. Game is ruined, stay clear.
-
Apr 26, 2015Don't pay for mods. Don't give Valve, or Bethesda, money for content they did not create. The entire notion of this system is shameful, disgusting, and insulting to the community that helped bring their mediocre franchise up to a legendary series.
-
Apr 26, 2015The game before paid-for mods 8/10
The game without mods 6/10
The game now 1/10
When paid-for mods are removed it will again deserve an 8/10 rating. And since this review must be 150 characters long I will just write about how it must be 150 characters long until it is so I can post it. Is it still not 150 characters long -
Apr 26, 2015One of the best games of all time...until Bethesda decided to turn free, user-made mods into money-making DLCs, only without the quality control of actual DLCs.
-
Apr 26, 2015Elder Scrolls is a game series made great by the modding community. With the shift to paid mods, the community will suffer as a whole, as well as the game.
Four days ago, I would have given this game a solid 9. Now, I'm giving it a 0 because my enjoyment of the game was based heavily on the mods I used and because I do not condone the greediness of Bethesda and Valve. -

Apr 26, 2015The game is awful without mods. Mods are going to be behind a pay wall. 0/10
Boycott $team Work$hop. Don't support bad business practices. Don't give Bethesda or Valve your money. -

-
Apr 26, 2015Paid mods took one of the best open world games I have ever experienced a 10/10 in my opinion to a 1/10. Good Luck winning the community back Bethesda, you just shot yourself in the foot with the PC community.
-
Apr 26, 2015What a great game, until paid mods completely ruined it. What were you all thinking? This game is a great example of an excellent game ruined by greed.
-
Apr 26, 2015Fantasic game, what with all the free mods that you can get. It would be a crappy game if, I don't know, you had to pay $2.99 for each of the 50 mods you want to use.
-

Apr 26, 2015I sure do love all this third party DLC! Yessiree, paid mods was a FANTASTIC IDEA! If you want to play this game I'd recommend you get it from Kickass.to or something. Don't give Bethesda or Valve any money, the retards don't deserve it.

Apr 26, 2015Paid mods...without mods this game just does not hold up. It is not where near as good as oblivion or morrowind. Thanks valve...for screwing this up.,

-
Apr 26, 2015Valve and Bethesda say they are supporting modders on steam by allowing people to put a price on mods when actually they're leeching off them. mods on nexus are being taken down and put on steam severely reducing the modding community. 0/10

Apr 27, 2015Hiding user created content behind a pay-wall is absolutely disgusting behavior. Bethesda is a greedy company that wants to suck the life force out of the vibrant modding community. Do not buy this game, even if it's free.
-
Apr 27, 2015
-
Apr 26, 2015A middlingly good RPG which became something incredible with the help of its strong modding community - as Oblivion and Morrowind did before it - now crippled by Bethesda & Valve's attempt to monetise that community. A textbook example of how to turn the whole market against your series and your company.
-

Apr 26, 2015I like this game a lot, but paid only mods are going to divide the modding community and a damage can already been seen.
I will never support this kind of practice, donations would be better option. -
Apr 26, 2015Disgusting by Valve and Bethseda to bring in the paid mods scheme. Shame on you. Will no longer support such greedy tactics. Horse Armor ruined gaming with the introduction of DLCs (also by Bethseda), now this... this will end modding and bring in much darker times for gaming. I am sadden for what's now ahead for future generations of gamers.
-
Apr 26, 2015Paid mods aren't the way to go, Valve and Bethesda. You should've known better. I will never buy a mod and support them. Way to kill your game. ggwp
-
Apr 26, 2015Great game with mods. Cannot be recommended under paid mod model. Vanilla game is just not up to it and not Bethesda wants you to pay extra to finish their work. Don't support this model.

Apr 26, 2015A game that was kept alive by the modding community now spits in their face while making a profit on it,
Don't be a slave stand up for your hobby do what is right. -
Apr 26, 2015Bethesda has been showing that they don't care for years now, they release broken buggy messes then rely on modders to fix it for them, problem is, now that those modders can now charge up to $100 (should they wish) for these fixes you might as well not even worry about buying the game until this policy is reversed.
-
Apr 26, 2015This game's developer, Bethesda, in conjunction with Valve, has begun to enforce a paid mods system. This is reprehensible. The game was barely worth playing without mods, and to force them behind a paywall is mind-bogglingly greedy.

Feb 29, 2012Unfortunately, Skyrim trips and falls on its own (most probably, to make the cool-sounding deadline of 11-11-11) and just before it reaches perfection as the ultimate specimen of its genre, it self-destructs in a crucial aspect of game design: the interface and the peripheral components (inventory, journal, map, etc)... but that is not to say that Skyrim is anything but a truly majestic, epic RPG that will suck you right in its cosmos.
-
Feb 14, 2012Skyrim is definitely one of the best games of 2011, but if the DLC holds out, it might just be one of the best games of 2012 as well.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jan 19, 2012Skyrim is the best open world RPG you can get. A true evolution of genre is not flawless but still it is the game you love to live in. [Christmas 2011]
