    I have the premium edition so I've been able to play this game for quite a while already.

    I tried everything I could to like this game. I am a huge Bethesda fan for their previous titles. I've got thousands of hours in Fallout and Elder Scrolls franchise. Everything feels like Fallout 4, reskinned. The only thing that would have made this game really innovative was the spaceship    I have the premium edition so I've been able to play this game for quite a while already.

    I tried everything I could to like this game. I am a huge Bethesda fan for their previous titles. I've got thousands of hours in Fallout and Elder Scrolls franchise.

    Everything feels like Fallout 4, reskinned. The only thing that would have made this game really innovative was the spaceship journeys and they weren't able to provide it, instead everything is a "fast travel, click to go there" experience.

    Lore is non existent in the outer worlds, when you clean an enemy outpost in other games there's always the story of how they ended up there, here it's just clean->loot and that's it. Creatures are not interesting at all. All the super complex mechanisms to research, craft, mod etc it's an overkill and useless at the end.

    But the truth is, the only way I could sum up my experience with Starfield is: BORING. Playing it feels like a chore for me, I can't wait to stop. I found myself creating the most creative excuses to avoid playing this game.
    If I could, I would return this game 10/10.

    P.S. FORGOT TO SAY: It's unplayable without NVIDIA Filters tool. Everything looks so green and gamma is so offset that it makes you wonder what's wrong with their developers monitors. You have to tweak your own filters in order to make this game look normal. Is this normal for a 2023 AAA game?    … Expand

    By far the biggest let down of a next generation game. The graphics are subpar and do not look like next gen. I think comparability for Xbox series S 8is holding this generation back. The constant load screens take away from the immersion that this game claimed to have. It’s nothing but broken and false promises from Xbox and Bethesda. Gioco veramente pessimo per il prezzo è le promesse fatte , graficamente e tecnicamente imbarazzante… Npc e animazioni che sembrano pupazzi di legno ,, Bug di ogni genere è tipo che rovinano pesantemente l’esperienza di gioco , glitch audio e artefatti grafici, già tanto se arriva a 30fps scarsi , caricamenti infiniti per ogni cosa , shooting e gameplay dell’anteguerra, interi pianeti completamente vuoti e muri invisibili ovunque. No doppiaggio , no dlss, no salvataggio manuale dove si vuole , altro che open world magnifico e infinito , 20’ore storia finita . Disinstallato subito , una vera porcheria ….     - ogólna grafika to poziom gier z początku poprzedniej generacji - bardzo ubogie cieniowanie, tekstury powierzchni kują w oczy, a twarze, mimika i modele postaci to chyba pamiętają czasy x360.
    - strasznie nudne dialogi, drętwe postaci i iluzoryczne wybory, w porównaniu do BG3 to... no nawet nie ma sensu porównywać.
    - większość planet to pustkowia na których nic nie ma (niby realistycznie, ale po co zaśmiecać grę takim contentem) więc główny argument fanów Bethesdy tutaj nie ma prawa bytu bo eksploracja jest mega nudna.
    - dungeony i jakieś bazy to w wiekszości kopiuj wklej, gdzie nawet powtarza się układ skrzynek z lootem.

    Jeszcze możnaby wymieniać, ale takie aspekty jak główna fabuła to nigdy nie były mocne strony Bethesdy.    … Expand

    El rato que llevo jugando el juego es aburrido, la historia principal cuando empiezas, no genera ningún tipo de emoción, y empiezas en una cueva y el inicio sin sentido. Gráficamente se ve muy bien pero creo que es el único punto fuerte del juego. No man's Sky me parece mejor juego, me enganchó desde el principio y sigo jugándolo.

    büyük beklenti, büyük hayal kırıklığı. her şey olmak isterken hiç bir şey olamamış karakterin ölme animasyonu bile skyrim bire bir alınmış. yıl 2010 olsaydı farklı şeyler yazardım ama yıl 2023 bu oyuna puan vermek diğer kaliteli geliştiricilerin emeklerine saygısızlık olur.

    The game is a copy of the studio's previous games: there is NOTHING new, no interesting mechanics can be found even with a magnifying glass in hand. Stupid AI, poor optimization with 2016 graphics levels, incompetent plot. Everyone has already seen everything, but the developers are still trying to convince us that this is a game of a new generation.

I have a 4k Monitor (mostly for work) and it is not possible to play the game with reasonable settings with a 5800X3D and a RTX 3070. I've set everything to very low and it looks awful (but I have over 60 FPS). I can play Cyberpunk on very high settings without raytracing and it looks stunning. I won't buy a newHonestly I can't review this game, because I couldn't play it very low. If my 2080 can run Cyberpunk 2077 with 100+ fps on High, why should Starfield tank so hard at 55fps at the lowest graphics? Todd Howard says we need new tech BUT it is his dumb choice of using HIS OUTDATED Creative engine to create games...I hope starfield sales tank. Have a 0/10

    No man's Sky is a much better game.. Starfield went through great lengths to copy no man's sky but they fell short by far.. Starfield doesn't even have VR like no man's sky does

La inteligencia artificial brilla por su ausencia, de las peores que he visto jamás. Por no hablar de las mecánicas ancladas en los años 2000-2007, ya es hora de que cambien de motor gráfico.     The worst game I ever played XD 0 optimization, rx 6800 xt, and have problems with 60 fps on ultra, the game looks worse than the games in 2012. Generally game looks like Cyberpunk 2077 on ps4 in the first days XDD audio delayed lags (i playing on new SD) the world is meh, story is average. very disappointed idk if not worse than fallout 6.

    Now Starfield is a whole new beast. It's not the type of game you measure by play hours.
    but rather by individual stories and discoveries. You've got to play it at your own pace.

    If you have the right hardware, the game can push out some of the best visuals I have ever seen.
    The designers over at BGS have created the world with mindbogling detail especially on space stuff.
    The art style is a breath of fresh air.and sets a more realistic tone for what humans can achieve
    in the not-so-distant future.

    A galaxy full of stories and history that feels alive and gives you the impression
    that everything can happen at every turn.

    Cons :

    I would like space travel to be more fluid and make me feel that I am actually traveling with my ship,
    not a sim,but not constantly having to go through menus to go somewhere.

    Slow UI and complicated menu navigation that doesn't feel very intuitive, although developers
    have implemented a lot of quality of life stuff, like being able to sell directly from the ship inventory,and others.
    The Fast travel option is ok due to the nature of the game but traveling between planets could have been more than just a loading screen.

    Conclusion :

    There is a kind of romanticism about BGS worlds and stories. A sense of noble endeavors that we like so much, and Starfield may be the best one yet!

    A big thanks to the moding community for elevating the game from day one!

    One look at how this game is posting a 'Very Positive' rating from over 25k people on Steam shows how most of the reviews here are not valid. I presume those who don't have the game to play have lots of time to spend coming up with bogus accounts to post nonsense online. I came here to give it a 9, but instead, i'll bump it to a 10 for a bit more compensation for those unscrupulous reviews.

    This game is one big mess. It looks like an antique and still has very high hardware requirements, be prepared for 30 frames on good hardware. The NPCs are extremely stupid, the AI that guides them is as wooden as the facial animations. The plot is written by ChatGPT and the exploration in space ... doesn't exist. The biggest gameplay disappointment I can remember.

    Even witholding judgement on the obvious political agenda pushing that nobody asks for and nobody wants, this game is a buggy incomplete mess with bad ai and a bad story and almost nothing to explore (everything is the same exact copy of like 10 planets), star wars galaxies made a more immersive better experience in 2003.

    Most things are procedurally generated so you raid the same abandoned mining outposts or weapons facilities over and over.

    As interesting as the space theme is at first, they managed to make it very boring very fast. Not to mention that if you don't want to sit through 5-7 second long unskippable cutscenes for each of the following: to sit in your pilots seat, take off from the planet, grav jump to another planet, then land on that planet - you quicky just resort to fast traveling everywhere which really kinda kills the whole space thing.

    They really did just take the bog-standard bethesda experience and add space ships to it.

    Just a collection of random collection of individual game mechanics mashed into a sandbox without any real rhyme or reason.
    And if that was my only criticism I would still give the game an average score - maybe a 5 or 6.

    But then comes all the bugs, poor PC optimization, terrible filters on everything, terrible UI design, terrible system design. Awful control mapping that has the 'next dialogue' button assigned to the same key as 'fire ship lasers' which has resulted in me shooting at an ally more than once. Like, imagine if a real spaceship did that. If the button to "Close comms" was the same as the button to shoot your guns. Whoever designed that control scheme would be laughed at harder than the dude who thought it was a good idea to control an actual submarine with a game controller.

    A really low carry limit that has you constantly dumping your inventory.

    And why can my space-ship initially only hold 2-3x as much cargo as I can carry on my person?
    Like, the starting ship has the physical space to cram in a couple dozen people....
    And the ships have mass. And if the mass gets too high your ships speed and handling goes down.
    It would be simply to just calculate the mass of all the stored items on your ship and have that effect the ships movement. But no... terribly small cargo holds because intelligent design is not something bethesda does.

    The game is buggy and poorly designed. It does not deserve your money.    … Expand

    I fell in love with Starfield. It's my cup of sci-fi and I can't wait to spend the next thirty, fifty, maybe seventy hours here. I enjoy the exploration, the shootouts, the art style, the ship building, and the diverse worlds. I gratefully acknowledge the good optimization and the absence of major bugs. But I can't overlook the flaws. There are bad animations, ugly faces and repetitive moments.[Issue#329]

    In a year dominated by sequels to franchise favorites, there was a hope that Starfield would carve its own path to success. While the team at Bethesda should be commended for taking such a big swing, there’s no denying that the game doesn’t feel like a cohesive work. Maybe continued support and future sequels will make something more meaningful out of a work that is clearly deeply enamored with both science fiction and space exploration. Unforunately, this first launch has had far more mixed results than desired.
