    I could not finish this game. Already uninstalled. The AI is really bad. The facial animations for NPCs pull you right out of the immersion. I spent most my time in loading screens and doing the same repetitive actions over and over. Fetch quests in the main story. The side quests were even worse.

    Combat was spongy and unimpactful. The perk system was a huge disappointment. A lot of    I could not finish this game. Already uninstalled. The AI is really bad. The side quests were even worse.

    Combat was spongy and unimpactful. The perk system was a huge disappointment. A lot of them are minimal. But some of them are necessary for quality of life within the game. I don't want to grind for perk points just so I can sprint or carry enough weight.

    The voice acting was great. As well as the music. Both 10/10. But the writing is poor. Good actors with bad writing doesn't really help much.

    Supposedly, the story gets much better later in the game. Slow burn. I just can't get engaged enough to make it there. I've already given up.

    I did improve some things using console commands. The mods are interesting. With patches and mods this game will improve. I see a glimmer of hope in there. But I'm rating this based on my current experience. It gets a 0/10 because I uninstalled after just 12 hours.    … Expand

    Tout n'a été que mensonge avec ce jeu. On nous a vendu de l'exploration à gogo. Au final il n'y a rien que des temps de chargements avec un menuing des enfers. Pour le reste la quête principale est d'un ennui mortel, gunfights mous, IA des ennemis aux fraises, PNJ modelisés avec les pieds, aspect RPG négligé, aucun choix impactant, caméra fixe pour les dialogues qui cassent l'immersion,Tout n'a été que mensonge avec ce jeu. On nous a vendu de l'exploration à gogo. Au final il n'y a rien que des temps de chargements avec un menuing des enfers.     This is just a failure of the year. The game constantly freezes and crashes. The game is badly optimized. The color filters in the game are poorly chosen. The graphics are also soapy in places. Instead of an open world, we have a loading screen simulator.

Loading screens galore—felt more like waiting in line at the DMV than exploring space. The planets? More like blandets—samey and filled with invisible walls.     Wtf? There are people that say that all the negative reviews are from PS fanboys....on a Starfield for PC page, I don't know people can't read or they really are that S.P.E.C.I.A.L. The game is a mess I don't care on what platform is, story is really bad, graphics look like a Fallout mod, gameplay is monotonous, they could have added a few interesting planets and not many that areWtf? The water is the worst in the most recent games, there is almost no ripple when you swim or shoot, cyberpunk blows this game out of the water :^).
    Ohh and the bugs, hooooly you can get stuck on starting planet, enemies don't spawn, you can fall out the map when you pick up new weapons, enemies teleport around you when they spawn like police in Cyberpunk. Maybe the modders will be making the game decent over the years...    … Expand

    Absolutely soulless "Teleport from A to B" a thousand times "gameplay". No sense of exploration AT ALL. Everything is instanced and you never discover anything. You just open up your HUD and places are shown to you or you can pointlessly run around on empty planets.

    Performance is horrible as well. The "ultra" preset sets the scaling to 70%. Let that sync in. I can play Unreal Engine 5 games with 5x the graphics quality with DLSS on quality with almost double the FPS then this with my 2080 Ti. In typical modern games fashion turning down details gives basically nothing in performance. I basically CANT play this game in a reasonable way with 60 FPS.

    Like all the AAA games these does this of course is infested with wokeness as well but you can believe me or not I really do not need to down-rate this game because of this, the game itself is just complete 100% recycling.

    The same boring looting of too much loot, companions just act as annoying packmules. And a utterly annoying way to give them stuff. You first need to talk to them, select the option "can you carry stuff for me" and then you end up in a pointless screen where you AGAIN have to push another button to open your inventory to actually then dig down into the **** UI to select items. Its unacceptable for a PC game in 2023 to be this bad. And this is not some kind if new IP from a indie studio. This is the xth iterations of the same game they already made again and again.

    One of the biggest game studios on the world, bought by M$ but they do not dare to develop a proper PC UI. The UI it total trash, no grid system with a nice overview and drag and drop. Instead a oversized stupid console UI that just makes me want to puke.

    Its kind of mind boggling that they did not even improve ANYTHING and many argue they made it worse. If if this would be "as good as Fallout New Vegas" or some of the titles I actually liked back then I am not down for the game game again and again. I already passed on Fallout 4 because the graphics (style) turned me off and the beginning was so uninspiring and boring and I already felt I played this b4 in better that I just could not make myself play it.

    I do not even know why I had some hope for this game, its on me to think a new game name brings any kind of innovation.    … Expand

    There are windows of loading, loading, loading everywhere. It ruins the atmosphere of the game. Weak graphics and optimization.

    Where are the Russian subtitles? The Bethesda forgot that 40-50 million Russian speakers do not live in Russia :(

    One more game that does not survive the enormous hype with which has been promote it. As a sci-fi fan it has left me totally disappointed. Story without soul, repetitive missions, mediocre game play, empty and lifeless worlds, a huge amount of bugs and horrendous graphics that is unreal how the people justify with the premise that mods will fix it. Not recommendable

    The game feels to outdated. The graphics, the game play, the characters. I'm very disappointed since I have found pretty boring the exploration and the plot-line in general. I have tried Starfield in both PC and Xbox, but the feeling is the same. Not recommended at all

    Hit a bug 8 hours in in the mission Into the Unknown that blocked my story progression entirely. Using commands to skip the mission meant I was permanently unable to equip powers and I refuse to start the game over again because the first 8 hours were already so mind numbingly dull. One of the worst video game experiences I've had in my life, do not buy this game.

    Immensely disappointing for a AAA studio like Bethesda & backed by Microsoft. Feels very last gen, horrible performance on Nvidia. Exploration is an illusion and space flight pretty much nonexistent. Modders will fix this, but that doesn’t mean the game gets a better review.

    I went and especially got a gamepass subscription for it, waited for 120gb download and uninstalled the game in 4 hours of playtime.

    The jank and clunkyness is so extreme. No FOV slider in 2023, the UI runs at 30fps, the shooting feels and sounds like a 2004 game, way too much fast travel, no ground vehicles, its a horrible experience.

    BETHESDA IS INCAPABLE OF MAKING A NEXT GEN GAME.

    For me , where I dont like the open worlds very much, game is ok: NIce graphics, voice acting, story, very nice figting feeling, lore, crafting . Great filling of spece exploration. game has got meaningless bugs but comparing to GOWR on PC /ps5, TLOU on PS/ps5 , starfield is perfect game.

    At the end game is very good but not for me. BG3, also I never liked BG serie. and now turn based - bleeee.
    I encourage everyone to try Starfieldt on GP, on the PC or cloud if net is good enough.

    * Objects spinning out of control.
    * Companion getting stuck on terrain.
    * Objects clipping through doors.
    * Jetpack appearing as if from nowhere, and disappearing when you stop using it???
    * Headless NPCs in conversation.
    * Invisible companion NPC in scripted conversations, probably still stuck somewhere...
    * Bugged enemy AI - Shooting the floor, taking cover while half of their body is open (literally my 8-year-old cousin is better at hiding).
    * Bugged space combat.
    And many many more.

    In terms of gameplay, most of it is spent in menus either playing the inventory accountant or "traveling through space" by basically being teleported everywhere...
    Oh, and when you land in a city for the first time, the game doesn't have a map, so good luck finding store locations.

    This game literally insults your intelligence by trying to waste your valuable time with random tasks like fetch quests. 0 innovation whatsoever.

    Dialogue: You just have this feeling that you always succeed. At some point, there is no need to read whatever characters are saying, it's just going to be whatever way story writers decided. Yes, you can sometimes do things your way, but it might have no impact. If a character is critical – no way to kill him or her. No alternative exists.
    Animation of characters: Are we in the early 2000s? Look at character faces and the way they speak, it's feels like moving plastic.

    Pick any aspect of the game, and it just reads – OUTDATED.    … Expand

So I upgraded my video card to a 4090 (was looking for an excuse to do this anyways) and bought the game off Steam. The only difference was better frames. The graphics still looked dated, etc. Steam refunded me with 28 hrs playingI bought the game on xbox, it was an awful experience.     Shaders don't work correctly the AI does not exist I can make that AI by just googling basic game AI and It will give me a tutorial for a better more complicated AI then wath they have the space sections are basically a glorified loading screen with shiny bits

    Learned that I need to cap the FPS the hard way still has 90% of the game broken

    No map got wandered around for another shop because I I bankrupted the other vendors the most boarding map design ever in gaming it's all squares did interns make this map ? 1990s games had more details with just squares

    you need 250 mods to fix the game the mod plugin cap is 276 I believe you quite literally need to learn how to make plugins light or know what to merge to have any mod space

    There is no compression it takes a large chunk of your PC with none of the content of no man's sky ,Elite dangerous , (insert any owl cat RPG), even some scams like star citizen have more things to do

    The chocking and loading is because of the lack of compression and optimization no mater of graphic updates fixes that

    I would love to recommend this game. But a mix of the performance problems(Load screens). I have a high end PC and this game just doesn't function well. In the end the game offers little in inovation. Would recoommend skyrim over this. There is no open space. Everything is recycled and re-used.

Pagar caro no jogo para depender de mods arrumarem.     The camera in dialog is static, it was still like that in Morowind in 2001, now games are trying to compete with movies in cinematography, and Todd still has 2001.

    Dialogs and text in the game. It's no different from Fallout 4, as I wrote above, because of the facial animations, it's impossible to perceive anything from these characters, it's a lean text, in some places with secondary humor, which causes only Spanish shame. And the options are no different from "yes" "no" "sarcasm", just in a different wrapper

    "Space travel" We were so advertised space and ship customization, and I was delighted, space travel and everything connected with it, what could be cooler. And what did I get!     "We will have 1000 planets" So I imagined that it will be like No Man Sky only with AAA grapheon with flora and fauna.     There's no way this game cost $400 million to make man, it's full of procedurally generated **** trash, dull npc's, above average graphics, inferior exploration compared to indie games with not even 1% of the budget, art direction is great tho and the cities look amazing but man this game is just generic af with a bethesda logo slapped on it !!

    I fell in love with Starfield. It's my cup of sci-fi and I can't wait to spend the next thirty, fifty, maybe seventy hours here. I enjoy the exploration, the shootouts, the art style, the ship building, and the diverse worlds. I gratefully acknowledge the good optimization and the absence of major bugs. But I can't overlook the flaws. There are bad animations, ugly faces and repetitive moments.[Issue#329]

    In a year dominated by sequels to franchise favorites, there was a hope that Starfield would carve its own path to success. While the team at Bethesda should be commended for taking such a big swing, there’s no denying that the game doesn’t feel like a cohesive work. Maybe continued support and future sequels will make something more meaningful out of a work that is clearly deeply enamored with both science fiction and space exploration. Unforunately, this first launch has had far more mixed results than desired.
