Absolute masterpiece. I bought Sekiro after playing Elden Ring, wondering if their other games are possibly as good as Elden Ring. Not in general, but in this context for sure. Sekiro beats Elden Ring in nearly every regard (that matters to me personally), with better controls, fast, but skillful combat, unique interesting bosses and refined difficulty - no, in this game you don't get to overlevel and cheese your way to the ending, this is actual "git gud" game :D. And this is not meant to be punishment to the player, this is actually what makes the game rewarding. The feeling after beating last boss in Sekiro and beating last boss in Elden Ring is incomparable. Even outside of this scope, where I mostly compare Sekiro to the latest From Software game, Sekiro still dominates. I played UNHEALTHY amount of games in my life and few I'd rate as high as this one. It's not very different from souls games hence From Software. Like any souls like games you have to forget everything you know and take one step at a time. Literately. And build up as you go. I like love how we are introduced to a new - hopefully - series game.

this game comes out from the same company and i didn't have any thing to play at the time really so i've decided to give it a shot plus it's about shinobis, samurais and **** ;)

of course i struggled a bit at first .. the first mini boss beat the crap out of me like 5 times then i restarted the game to take a better look at the tutorials .. and after realizing that the best way is to use deflects the game become much easier .. and now me .. the one who couldn't even beat the first boss in ds 3 completed this game in 3 days and i like it sooo much .. that satisfying feeling u get when u defeat a boss who kicked ur ass like 20 - 25 times is awesome

so i finished the game and immediately started new game plus .. and this time i'm a master of deflection xD .. the hardest boss took 2 tries for me to beat only 2 tries ... this is coming from me the noob who couldn't do **** in ds 3

maaan this game is awesome .. to me it's noob (referring to myself) friendly

I was disappointed when I was few hours in. I did not expect a Soulslike game but I expected another Fromsoftware-jewel. I liked Sekiro but it was below my expectations.

    Or so i have thought.

    Now I am loving Sekiro.

    Pros:
    + The game looks astounding
+ Atmospheric, especially mid - late game.
    + Great music
+ Important NPC's take a huge part to the story
+ Storytelling and Cutscenes are on point.
    + "Into the feels" moments
+ The areas are connected to each other and you can take different paths
+ World events depending on where you are story-wise (small and huge scale)
+ Lore through items, memories from bosses, eavesdropping, giving drinks to npc's
+ Rewards exploration but on a different manner than Soulsborne games.
+ (Main) Bosses are, even compared to Soulsborne, high quality.
+ Enemy variety is high + many have an interesting concept. They are fitting to the concept of the game and fit to the area they're in.
+ There are different endings and some of them need requirements. You are never forced upon an ending, you need to meet the requirements but you can also decide to go for another ending.
+ Fighting is quick, feels cool and rewards quick thinking, muscle memory and experimentation. *No, it's not just parrying.
+ Stealth is implemented but you are (almost) never forced to use it. It just can make things easier.
+ No matter how far you are in, you can still die to the first enemies.
+ Falling from cliffs or high ground doesn't instakill you - Yay
+ You can swim and it doesn't feel like ****

    Cons:
    - Sometimes feels unfair, especially in early game and at some minibosses.
    - For the most part, minibosses are just copied to other stages of the game.
    - Minibosses deal extremely high damage, yet have around 2 - 4 moves at their disposal which makes them hard and annoying at the beginning and a piece of cake after several hours experience.
    - Fogwalls till you kill the miniboss make this even worse
    - Some Minibosses require items to effectively kill them. These items are consumables, hard to aquire until late game and makes it very frustrating to die to them.
    - 2 Bosses who can literally 1 Shot you in NG+ and beyond
    - 3 and 4 Phases-bosses is too much
    - Terror ............
    - Own posture mechanic is weird. Gotta stand still or move around till own posture recovers. But most of the time it doesn't matter since enemies won't react properly after breaking your posture.
    - No weapon variety. I know shinobi's share a bond with their weapon blabla but I prefer having different weapons over historical accuracy.
    - the "stat system", idk how to call it but it feels unrewarding and unnecessary
    - For some very odd reason gotta hold a button to collect drops from enemies

    To sum it up:
Sekiro is different from Soulsborne games. Even if you love the series, it's still no safe bet that you like it. And that's fine, that's what a new IP is for. However, it shares Fromsoftware's DNA and at some point, you will compare it to Soulsborne.
Sekiro has improved on many levels but has also worsen on other levels. It's harder than Soulsborne games, sometimes due to artificially but most of the time due to the wide combat system.
I would compare the difficulty level of Sekiro to Bloodborne: Old Hunters DLC.
Minibosses are my biggest complaint but even there are few cool, unique and memorizable encounters.

    I highly recommend Sekiro.

The game was only hard when I tried to dodge enemy attacks. The combat is based on deflections & counter attacks. After successful deflections there's always time for counter attacks, even if it doesn't feel like it. The positives is the sword clashing system, the prosthetic tools, the story, the atmosphere, the world & its characters. The negatives of this game is that you can only equip 1 Combat Art, of which many cost Spirit Emblems & you only get max 20 & using something like the Ashina Cross (which does a ton of damage) means they'll be depleted in 10 hits against a boss, not to be refilled until the boss is down. Imagine if Bloodborne's trick weapons 2nd attack would cost QS bullets? It's a problem because Spirit Emblems is pretty rare & is needed for the prosthetic tools & late game bosses have 3 health bars. The game would be better if you could get different outfits & swords & if you could equip 2 Combat Arts IMO. Bosses use several Combat Arts in 1 battle but you can only use 1. Also, some Combat Arts like Floating Passage does less damage than regular hits. Expand

Yes it takes time to get used to the mechanics after being used to Dark Souls. Yes it is a difficult game, the boss fights can be very hard. There is a difficulty curve that you have to get over and there is a period of getting used to and understanding the game. Once you do though you start to love the game, the rhythm of the battles, the feeling of overcoming a boss, the aggression and adrenaline during a challenging fight. I love the line of "I'm good at dark souls but this game sucks cause I died like 20 times to a dumb boss", it's people expecting to be good at this game and getting frustrated when it's not a dark souls rehash. It's honestly their loss not giving this game the necessary amount of time. I'm glad this is not a dark souls rehash and what they have made. I usually never replay games, even if I love them, but this one is an exception. From Software has really raised the bar as a game company. Expand

Great game, these type of epic boss fights are the reason I play videogames.

I would not recommend it to casuals tough as it is sometimes super difficult, but the hardest fights are optional.

Biggest difference with dark souls, is that most enemies are human here instead of huge monsters, you will have to mostly parry instead of dodging, different playstyle.

The blocking and dodging are both really inconsistent. Even sneak attacks from above are really inconsistent too. Sometimes changing the FPS and Hz will impact timing things like that in games, so full disclosure I'm using 144hz with 120 FPS (both are locked to 60 by default). But one of the first main bosses is just ridiculous. I've died like 30 times to General Naomori Kawarada. Neither jumping or dodging or blocking consistently work on him.

I even watched a video of a guy showing a way to sneak up on him for an initial blow, but even with that it wasn't enough. And your character dies after 2 hits. After finally beating the guy it didn't feel good at all, it was just like "that was ****ing stupid". Then your character goes on to die more vs other people. I noped the **** out of there.

Dying, resurrecting, and fighting the same enemies again, is part of the game design. The game Sundered is also based around dying and resurrecting, yet I very much enjoyed that game. So I guess it's mostly the tediousness, technicality, unresponsiveness/inconsistency of the fights that's the problem. I enjoyed the combat style of games like Darksiders, but didn't find this type enjoyable. I ended up trying to avoid fighting as much as possible, but you can only go so far with that.

This game is only for people who want to be really patient with every enemy, hit narrow timings, throughout long and repetitive battles. You also have to collect items to strategically use during fights, and go out of your way to explore everywhere without a map, and either die a lot (which you get punished for) or watch a playthrough to learn the game, locations, items, strategies, etc.. There seems to be a lot of boss fights.

It seems necessary to watch a complete youtube playthrough or follow a written guide to even process through the storyline fully/correctly, and without extreme frustration. Watching the playthrough even more so reinforced my conclusion that this game is not fun to play.

The Dragonrot mechanic is stupid. It basically penalizes you for being bad at the game.

The loading screens with tips dismiss themselves, so if you have a fast PC you don't get to read them.

If you do play, I highly recommend using Phoenix Samurai Reshade mod, and FPSunlocker mod (PCgamingwiki).

I picked this up after playing a lot of Souls and initially found the game to be "too hard" putting the game away for many months. Fast forward and I'm on a second playing to the game. It has completely consumed my interest and become my favorite FromSoftware title to date.

So what changed with my second playthrough? My attention to in game mechanics and accepting parrying as the method of playstyle. This change completely transformed the so called "harder than souls" format. I also made an effort to slow down and look through the world environment and discover the advantages of using the right prosthetics. Put simply, I spent more time learning what Sekiro offered rather than trying to play it like Dark Souls. Some of the Boss fights that were impossible in my first playthrough I completed in two attempts. I actually find the game easier than souls now.

The lore is unreal in this game, I'm absolutely in love with the story of this game and investing in total immersion to Sekiro is what really starts to propel it forward beyond my first impressions. It has the right balance of fantasy, historical weight, and most importantly a incredible story. I suggest completely doing your homework on the story, it pays dividends.

Anyway, others have said what I have. Loving this game, I've completely immersed myself in the lore. I've completely accepting playing Shinobi playstyle reminiscent to Tenchu. I'm so happy I gave this game another opportunity. I'm very happy it stands out nothing like Souls, not quite like Tenchu. It has its own unique quality that make it exceptional.

And the tendency to lose focus on the enemy, particularly during boss fights, is quite annoying. As for the difficulty, is it too hard? In general, I found the difficulty OK. + The art-style fits the Sengoku Japan setting of the game pretty well.
+ Similar to From's previous games, there are checkpoints you have to search for.
+ Combat is pretty fun once you understand how it works. (There is a certain boss who will force you to understand how combat works.)
    + Multiple endings.
+ Stealth in this game is fun as opposed to the boring stuff you see in other games.
    + Fun boss fights.
+ The game rewards you for exploration.
+ Japanese voice acting in this game is top-notch.
+ Lots of varied areas and enemies. You will fight humans, monkeys, monsters and more monkeys. Lots and lots of monkeys.

+- The game is very fast-paced. This is alright once you get used to it but might feel too hard while playing the game for the first few hours.
+- Some soundtracks were fun to listen to. Some were "ok".

    - While I like challenging games, this game felt too punishing. Getting hit two to four times while fighting bosses means you are dead. Moreover, some attacks are fast and will one-shot you which is something I haven't encountered in From's previous games. One-shots have always been clearly telegraphed in their previous games (remember Lorian's beam in DS3?) but for some reason they did not follow the same rule in this game.
    - It can take a long time trying to beat some bosses/mini bosses only for you to get killed for getting hit twice. Meh.
    - Headless.

Overall, great game. Highly recommended if and ONLY if you are looking for a good challenge.

Sekiro is a very perfect game.
It is a difficult game that boasts a very high level of difficulty.
However, excellent graphics, high-quality action, hitting sense, and cool weapons are the advantages.
And of all the games that exist, the sword fight was the best embodiment.
This game is worth 100 points for Metasco.

But why does a game with such a beautiful setting, good level design and such interesting fighting mechanics have to be so damn hard - I have no idea. It seems like if this time FromSoftware at least in some way allowed the player to lower the difficulty, the game would've only benefited from that. Especially since some enemies get repeated a lot throughout the game making it a really tedious process to once again try to perfectly respond to its moves for another 5 minutes straight, and the constant exposure to the boss music and the god-awful design of the UI do not make it more pleasant.
Nevertheless, it is a game made for a specific audience, one that can't get no satisfaction unless the game is profoundly difficult, so if that's how you would describe yourself and you got quick reflexes - it is probably your game of the year. It has a vast variety of different bosses and mid-bosses, most fights can be approached from at least a few different angles and exploring different areas in search for useful equipment is somewhat amusing, though not very engaging in the long run.

The bad part of the game is the obvious terrible camera that hasn't improved since the souls games, the inconsistent prosthetic tools that when used to stun bosses like the firecrackers, feather, the Malcontent and the umbrella when used to attack, sometimes doesn't stun the bosses since they can randomly just completely ignore it, I have encountered boss fights like The Owl where the blade sometimes hit me when he had his katana above his head even tho I was pressuring him into a corner and some bosses have hitboxes bigger than their displayed attacks, like for example, sometimes The Owl uses a firecracker attack that explode and that has a bigger hitbox than the actual explosion, which in New Game + one shots me. The game also has some grab hitboxes like in dark souls where Sekiro gets teleported to the grab even tho you clearly dodged it or you where not touched by it and the enemy or boss can sometimes do a full 180 degree turn to grab you or hit you with unblockable attacks which doesn't make sense since you see them turn instantly or unbelievably fast towards you. But honestly the game is very enjoyable once you master the mechanics and the boss fights and once you get to new game+ the game becomes even more challenging. (I changed my previous review since when I started new game+, I started to notice these problems and wanted to address them if anyone ever reads this.) Expand

Neredeyse her zaman düşmanlarınızın canlarından önce dayanıklılıkları bitiyor.

Bunun yanında can iksirleriniz kendiliğinden yenileniyor.

Fromsoftware's created another masterpiece, deserved the goty of 2019. It has souls feeling, but the combat system is very different, but it's great too. The world level design is beautiful, the bosses and enemies are well-made. It was very challenging, but after learning the rythmn not imposibble to get over the obstacle. The soundtracks were cool. 30 Hours of gameplay well-spent for me.

Hesitation is defeat. Frankly, I had high expectations from Sekiro. And it fully met my expectations.

First of all, Sekiro is a great looking game. I must say that he used the famous Japanese aesthetic very well. The game seems to have put landscapes at certain points for us to see and say wow. So the scenery is plentiful in the game. But other than that, it's kind of like the same thing. But I'm not saying the whole game is like that, it's like the game feels a bit like we're in the same place. It's not just about having to come to the same place 3 different times. Although they are different places, they look like the same places and are not very characteristic regions. For example, if you show me a picture from Dark Souls, I will immediately tell you where it is. But this game. Especially those roofs. After a while, the whole game feels like you're walking on these roofs. However, this does not mean that there are no different places in the game. There are some beautiful places like Hirata Estate where you go back to the past, Sunken Valley where you fight a snake, and Fountainhead Palace, which has a very nice atmosphere. However, for some reason, the game seemed a little small to me. The sounds of the game are great. Just the deflect sound makes this game great. The sounds of the sword were constantly encouraging me to play more. The music is also wonderful. Although I don't like the ambient music of the regions and I don't find it characteristic, the music of the bosses will definitely be engraved in your mind because they are beautiful (and you die a lot).

So how is the story of the game? It's more open than Dark Souls, but just as closed. What does it mean? That is to say, there is no abstract universe that is difficult to understand. There are people, there is war, we are in Japan. So far, it's clear. But the details of the story, what is going on, are still not clearly explained to you. You are asked to collect from right to left. Actually, I'm not against games telling their stories like this. However, after playing games such as God of War, which tells its story in a very beautiful and cinematic way, I started to wonder if this cryptic game narration is a deficiency. My criticism in this regard is as follows: At least, it would be better if the part of the game that tells the main plot of the game was explained to us clearly, if we want to gain more lore information, we can learn them by collecting items from right to left, as DS do. But playing without knowing the main plot of a game, or making an extra effort to know it, seems not quite right, but I will not comment on this. Personally, I like such statements, but when we look at it, maybe it's a bit of escapism. I don't know, I'm undecided. So what is this game about? Despite the beautiful stories of the characters in the game, I could not understand the message we should get from this journey, although I do not know how much I understood. So yes, the stories we hear from right to left are beautiful, but is ours also beautiful? We do what a girl says. I later learned that there was an important choice that we had to make in the game and it directly affected the game. But since I didn't understand what it was, I immediately made a simple choice.

Gameplay is where Sekiro shines. No matter what anyone says, I don't remember seeing such a good kombat in any game. Plus it's so simple. Attack, block or dodge. Or use one of the prosthetic features. But watching them is not enough to understand how enjoyable they are. You must play. First you have to say, "This boss is impossible to kill. He won't let me hit him. How do I know if I'm going to jump when the red mark comes out, am I going to counter with Mikiri?" Half an hour after saying that, when you kill the same Boss without taking damage, you realize that there is no problem with the Boss, and when you learn that you played badly, you realize how easy it is. That's what happens most of the time. The feeling of satisfaction when you act like a surgeon and do everything you need to do is indescribable. And the good thing about it is that you learn that. The game doesn't send you enemies just to beat you like every game, it sends you to hit your head. E hits your head. But then when he finds out and you hit him on the head... It's a great feeling. Actually, that's the whole Dark Souls logic, but Sekiro is a little different. Because this game is not an RPG. You can't get stronger and come back and pass the boss comfortably. You have to act on your own ability. I would like to add a little advice to this part, if you want to improve your game and have more fun, always stand in front of your enemy. Don't run away and hit, just run to get health. Deflect everything and hit at every gap. Even if it is difficult at first, it makes the game more enjoyable and easier after you get used to it.

The story is engaging, dialogue is well-written, and voice acting is excellent - I played with Japanese audio and would recommend it. Boss and level design are outstanding. SEKIRO is very challenging at times but, faced with determination, it is enormous fun. My heart was pounding every time I came close to beating, and eventually did beat, a difficult boss. I'm looking forward to my next playthrough already.

Great swordplay, the human bosses are the best. Can be pretty difficult at times as expected from a fromsoftware's game, but most bosses have a weakness you can use to make you gameplay easier even with average mechanics, for example fire crackers can make the warrior on a horse boss pretty easy, and the game gives a hint about it as well.

The setting isn't dark and pressuring, which I enjoyed and a player doesn't get overwhelmed with a **** tone of stats and possible builds.

The gameplay was really fun, I love high octane, fast-paced gameplay and this certainly did deliver. Although I only figured out the combat system, on the 25% mark and after that, everything was smooth sailing, I barely struggled on bosses or mini-bosses. the only thing I was really bad at was beast bosses/mini-bosses, especially the demon of hatred. That boss was the hardest thing I have ever done in a video game, though that might change. I didn't struggle with the final boss that much like everyone else did, I was at 19 vitality, and I believe 13 attack power. I'm confident in saying that I am GOOD at deflecting. Part is thanks to the Genichiro fight, I struggled with it probably the most at first just cause it was so early in the game and after I became more aggressive with my deflects and didn't step dodge everything like in the other soul's games I pretty much immediately won the fight. And also, the gameplay is different from soulsborne games, different enough to not be a soulsborne game but a souls-like, it has different mechanics like prosthetics and ninjutsu, special moves, and other stuff and I really liked every one of the mechanic Really solid gameplay this game has to offer. Top-notch

The story, ah yes the story. This will contain spoilers so beware if you at all care about them. I enjoyed the story, the story wasn't deep and "edgy" as dark souls story, and you didn't have to search that deep to get the gist of it but none the less it was really enjoyable. I love storytelling where you have to find it yourself, on your own time. But the surface-level story was also really good. I really love how midgame and endgame the main area Ashina outskirts and Ashina castle get changed from a city to a brunt down battlefield There is a total of 4 endings, on my first playthrough, I chose the immortal severance ending, the ending where you break the iron code, kill your father and sever the ties of immorality by killing Kuro, which was really moving and sad, cause im a big dunce and didn't catch on that I will have to kill Kuro, if I knew, I still would've followed the ending cause I thought it was the right thing to do. Before I completed the game I thought there would be two endings, maybe one secret one but I was too committed to the ending I aimed for. I have played this game only once, and I don't know what happens in the other ending but I heard that the return ending is the "good" ending or more accurately the best ending. I have a dilemma with fighting/killing human opponents. For example, I really didn't want to kill the owl, I was hoping there was a mercy option but after I had to kill him he said something along the lines of, "well-done son/wolf" and that was very moving to me, same goes for Lady butterfly, I didn't know she was wolfs mentor while fighting her but when she said "you've grown wolf" in the last moments of her life I felt like **** A really solid story.

What else, oh yeah the visuals. I don't have a good pc, but since sekiro and every fromsoftware game is well optimized "despite having so many areas rendered". I could run it on medium-high settings, and despite not playing on max setting, the game looks **** incredible, probably because I have never played a 2019 triple a game. I was watching a gameplay video of sekiro and they played on I believe max settings it looked incredible, like so good, especially the lighting.

And now, my final point the difficulty, the main marketing of souls-like games. And sekiro is hard, really hard just like any other soul like, but most of it is fair difficulty and also fun challenges. There is one mini-boss that I absolutely despise and cannot refight him ever and that's headless, I don't think the fight is fun it's cheap mechanics and overall the terror abnormality is a pain in the ass, just like the other variants of it in the souls borne franchise. Almost every single move your opponent makes is perfectly telegraphed and you know what to do, but sometimes if you panic you button mash and get gravely injured.

I don't really know how to end this review but I have to say, this game is good, really good. Not my favorite but up there in my top 10.
    id give it an 85/100.

    The Good

    - the fights can be frustrating but after you beat it, it feels satisfying. When I finally beat the game, it felt like a long journey finally complete.

    - have to be careful when to heal. Keeps the tension up even when you are half health, even if you have a bunch of healing items.

    - I like how the saving is done. It prevents save scumming to retain XP and money.

    - the posture and health battle mechanic is clever. It forces the player to parry, and learn the pattern and timing of the enemy's moves, instead of just blocking forever. The game rewards you for parrying successfully. A fight can be over fast if you are good at it. Long and stressful if you are bad at it. Hence, it rewards skill, which is great.

    - Enemies and bosses are unique. Each boss encounter threw something interesting your way. Every fight was a new challenge.

    - The visual style is really cool, if you like historical Japan/Asia. The design of the enemies and allies were interesting too. Involving spirits and mythical creatures was a nice touch.

    The Bad

    - the respawn points for a boss fight should be right before the Boss encounter. Having the spawn point so far back just causes unnecessary travel time. Every death you are guaranteed a death screen, a loading screen, and walking to the boss fight. These three things add up. It may only take about 30 seconds in total, but when you die 30 or 50 times it adds up to a lot of unnecessary time loss.

    - skills in the skill tree could have used a video or gameplay sample before the player decides if they want it or not. XP is precious in the game cause you can lose it so easily. Knowing exactly what you're spending it on is important. Text explanation simply isn't detailed enough.

    - the respawn points annoyed me so much I decided to use a trainer to just practice the boss fight, before taking it on for real.

    - the grappling points on the trees against the Guardian Ape boss was very finicky. I would be trying to grapple the monkey but end up grappling the tree.

    - lock on can be finicky sometimes too, especially against lady butterfly. If the poles break your line of sight with her for too long, you lose the lock on. Or if she goes too far away, the lock on will also disappear.

    - the camera can feel wonky sometimes

    - items being used up after a lost battle made me not want to use them in case I needed them for a hard boss fight. In the end I didn't use any buff items because of that reason. Losing money and XP is one thing, but losing items after a boss fight is kind of annoying. Perhaps there could have been a better way they could have done this, while still retaining the difficulty.

    - it was really hard to get much of the extra skills because I kept losing XP from losing boss battles. I decided to farm XP off of weak enemies. This took forever. This felt inevitable because I had to go back to the boss fights over and over to learn the patterns. Unless your second playthrough or you have prior experience with the game, there's just almost no way you can build up a much XP. Hence most of the skills will be out of your reach. Luckily almost none of the skills are mandatory to win the game, it just makes it a bit easier.

This game's tough, I'd say the hardest of all Miyazaki games given that most of your meaningful progress is based on whether or not you are able to defeat a VERY strong boss/mini-boss, which sucks in a way because I can't talk about this game with my friends because they simply couldn't keep up with the difficulty (and that's perfectly fine, no need to throw that **** cancerous and overused "Git Gud" meme). But if you take the time, learn the mechanics, and even realize how many weaknesses the enemies have that can be exploited to your advantage, you'll figure your way through and hopefully have a good time
What really rubs me the wrong way with this game though, is that, after so many years, FromSoft still doesn't seem to be willing/capable of fixing the serious camera issues. It's particularly more noticeable with this Purple Ninja mini-boss that you'll find inside a very VERY tight spot. Your camera will go absolutely crazy, even if you stand still, this enemy has the tendency of kicking you pretty far away, into a corner, where you can hardly see ****

Don't go in expecting a Soulsborne game.
You don't get to customize your character.
You don't get to just use any weapon.

That doesn't mean it is bad. In fact, I think it's a brilliant move. FromSoft has set a narrative with this that makes for a -real- story to be told with the player, rather than AT the player like in other FromSoft titles.

There’s no leveling (in Soulsborne sense of the word), no covenants, no multiplayer, no variety in armor and weapons. It could be written off a stylistic choice, if the rest of the game didn’t feel very similar to the previous FromSoftware games. But it does, so Sekrio comes across as rather shallow. Sekiro Shadows Die Twice is a milestone in the genre. It offers complex, stunning and precise sword fights and duels that its predecessors lacked, and from which its successors will have to keep up with. You no longer simply learn by repeatedly and unfairly dying, but you refine your talents as a player. You seek unique methods to overcome each boss, rather than just rolling at the right time before spamming a few hits.
