    Have just registered here to tell: do not buy this piece of unplayable code.
    Crashes on launch, crashes during in-game benchmark, crashes anytime during gameplay. Totally unoptimized (there is no build of your PC which give you stable gaming process). Do not try it even for free.

    Rockstar will never learn, maybe after half of a year it may become playable, but for now it's unplayable broken garbage. But what should we expect from people who scrapped few singleplayer DLC for sake of a garbage casino in GTA V multiplayer and come up with stupid idea of making worthless launcher?

Абсолютно все что только можно сделать. Ни один совет мне не помог, просто крашится ВАШ лаунчер и я не могу войти в игру, за которую отдал СВОИ деньги. Три дня. Три дня я не могу войти в ВАШУ игру. Почему я в 2019 году покупая игру должен вот так Шаманить с ее запуском? "Спасибо" что вызываете у меня чувство ностальгии по далеком 2003-2007 годам, но я этого не просил. Думаю ВЫ, как обладатели чуть ли не самой продаваемой игры в истории могли себе позволить сделать нормальный ее порт на пк. Я не отбитый ПК-Боярин, что писал в комментариях "Спасибо за бета-тест, консольщики", я человек, который искренне ждал и верил в ваш релиз. В первый день, когда игра не запустилась, я верил в то, что вы это почините. Я был готов ждать понимая, что у всех случаются проблемы. Но прошло уже довольно времени. ВЫ не энтузиасты с гаража, которые пытаются осуществить свою мечту и создать свою первую игру. ВЫ огромная компания, которая обладает огромными средствами и возможностями. И ВЫ наплевательски отнеслись к своей аудитории, показав этим ужасным стартом то, насколько ВАМ плевать на ваших потребителей. Никогда в жизни я больше не куплю вашей игры, подавитесь этими 80-тью баксами,что были уплачены за РДР2 на пк в вашем кривом лаунчере. Хорошего ВАМ настроения, а главное здоровья… Expand

    Игра вышла на ПК и сразу же заставила задуматься игроков о покупке железа получше. ЕЕ оптимизация настолько плоха,что я бы присмотрел себе RTX2070 и I7 9700. Да-да вам не показалось. Я с удовольствием ее ждал, я с удовольствием ее купил, я с грустью ее удалил... Сложно играть на минимальных настройках 40 FPS с дикими фризами каждые тридцать секунд.GTX 1060 6GB I38100 16GB RAM...Игра вышла на ПК и сразу же заставила задуматься игроков о покупке железа получше.     Я одним из первых предзаказал игру,а именно Ultimate версию,ждал месяц,специально взял на роботе два выходных,что бы столкнутся с таким говном,РОКСТАР ВЕРНИТЕ МНЕ МОИ ДЕНЬГИ И ЗАБЕРИТЕ ЭТО УБОЖЕСТВО

    It's the end of the second day since launch, and I still have yet to even be able to open the game. It has also nearly been 24 hours since we have heard anything from support. At this point, I'm going to give up on ever playing this and just try to get my money back.

Finally, on day 2 (day after launch day), it crashed for the final time for me and I joined the many players facing the 'exited unexpectedly' error on the Rockstar    Shame, as I thoroughly enjoyed the PS4 version.

Finally, on day 2 (day after launch day), it crashed for the final time for me and I joined the many players facing the 'exited unexpectedly' error on the Rockstar launcher, unable to launch the game.

    Rockstar support has been mostly unresponsive and unhelpful when they do respond, telling me to update the launcher which did absolutely nothing for me.

    I'm writing this review on 10 November 2019, 5 days after the PC launch, and I am still unable to play a game I paid full price for. Not even the single-player mode. It baffles me how something like this can happen. To make things worse, Rockstar has not issued any apology for this mess.

    My advice to anyone reading this is to give this game a hard miss. Rockstar promised a working game on 5 November 2019 and did not deliver. True, a few lucky ones are able to play without much issues, but ask yourself if you feel lucky (well, do ya, punk?). They are clearly in damage control now, though they might never admit it, and it looks like they have a long way to go to get everyone in the game, and an even longer one for optimised performance.    … Expand

    I love this game. It's a masterpiece, I played it on PS4 on launch day and it is one of the best games of this console, however.... The PC Porto's absolute garbage. Don't bother even trying if you don't have a GTX 1080TI or something newer. I have that gpu, 16gb of ram at 3000mhz and i78700k at 4.8ghz and I can barely reach 50 fps on regular zones. This port does not live up to the name ofI love this game. It's a masterpiece, I played it on PS4 on launch day and it is one of the best games of this console, however.... PS Лучше купил бы в стиме и не было бы проблем.     I have about 1 minute total of gameplay, thats all this game would allow me untill crashing at the same spot in the game. CLEARLY metacritic was paid by Rockstar for this rating. Update my BIOS?? please....try updating your game. My minute of in game experience included textures that didnt seem completed, blurry textures. Checked graphics settings, "o its defaulting to vulkan", changed toI have about 1 minute total of gameplay, thats all this game would allow me untill crashing at the same spot in the game.     0 Stars for no character transfer. Oh Rockstar... There is no way I'm re-grinding online, so that by the time I finally get caught up hackers will have modded the game into a shtshow. Good single player, awkward rocks and hills as with any R* game.

    El primer día no pude ni iniciar el juego, después de la ultima actualización del Rockstar Launcher, ya no hace falta desactivar el Antivirus, me va fluido con gráficos en medio/Alto con una Rx 580, la historia hasta ahora es excelente.

    - There is no option to change keyboard mappings. Are PC Players a joke to you Rockstar?
    - No option to change the ingame language as well?

    Что касается самой игры, проработки, сюжета, огрового мира и т.д то естественно высщий пилотаж! Игра сама шикарнейшая, но только сама игра идеальная а вот оптимизация просто ноль...ребята ну вы издеваетесь чтоли...даже мощные компы ее не очень та уж хорошо тянут..оптимизация на нуле...есть игры требовательнее РДР2 но они идут в сто раз лучше и выдают очень хороший фпс так как естьЧто касается самой игры, проработки, сюжета, огрового мира и т.д то естественно высщий пилотаж!     Broken and buggy game. Ported extremely bad to PC. I have a bug with the mouse overlapping the game, but not the windows mouse, the game's own default mouse pointer. If you are reading this before buying the game, do not bother. The gameplay consist of troubleshooting, since they didn't bother to do any play tests themselves. Please don't buy this crap.

    The game itself seems pretty. But the online gameplay is awful, there is just random stuff going on, and if you're doing your job fine, something randomly goes out of control like:

    People exit from lobbies, your horse just leaves you or simply dies. This is not a hard game, it's just frustrating af.

    Aannnd i can't make a refund, which is also painful.

    The game is beautiful but very rough launch, runs better on Vulkan with AMD cards at the moment.
    On my RX Vega 64 I'm on high/ultra settings with an average of 60FPS. Some bugs, but mostly stable.

The game is totally unoptimized, and i´m playing about 40fps in medium with my gtx970. But even like that, i´m enjoying and spending hours and hours into the game and i don´t even start the main quests yet. Hope Rockstar can fix allI´m updating my review as Rockstar continues to improve and correct one of the worst launch of all time! The game itself is a pleasure and a state of art. The game is totally unoptimized, and i´m playing about 40fps in medium with my gtx970. But even like that, i´m enjoying and spending hours and hours into the game and i don´t even start the main quests yet. Hope Rockstar can fix all this stuff.     So, the RDR 2. Basicly the Rockstar Dead Realese 2 is a worst console port that ive ever seen, and Rockstar Game Launcher is more than ordinary launcher, it's like a huge almanac of software bugs and the most disgusting mechanics. I know how beautiful this game is,but this attitude towards PC users deserves the lowest rating of this version of the game.

This is the most garbage game performance I have ever seen (and I've got all the Bethesda ones). My system isn't total top end (980ti, Intel 15-6600, 16GB RAM) but it's well within the minimum specs.It sure it a beautiful game ... and I get so much time to watch the scenery during the freeze-frames that happen every 2 seconds.     Always blows me away when people's "drawback" is you can't max out all settings 100% at 4k and get a high frame rate. Don't they know most of the time in 99% of games it requires some tweaking. RDR2 is an amazingly gorgeous game, one of the best graphical games ever made with probably the highest production values ever seen. It's better than the console version in every way and clearly a classic.

    There are so many issues with this game. First of all, like many other's I had launch issues. That was already annoying enough. After 30 minutes of fixing the crash issue, I opened the game and the resolution was in 1920 by 1080 and I have a 3840 by 2160. So all I have to do is simply change it in the settings, right? Well when I clicked on settings the menu would just go black and I hadThere are so many issues with this game. First of all, like many other's I had launch issues. That was already annoying enough. Oh wait lets make the mouse cursor move around the screen at all times with no way of removing it. Another fun issue is the settings menu itself. It is extremely temperamental and navigating it with a mouse and keyboard is a nightmare. This whole process would be so much better if it was simply on steam and I didn't need epic games and the rockstar launcher. I paid a good 80 dollars for the special edition and I can't even enjoy the game. Rockstar please fix this buggy garbage.… Expand

    Amazing! Paid £54 ($69.50) only for it to crash 1 second into the intro video. They literally can't even program a game to make it to the main menu. And no way to report/submit bugs to anyone at Rockstar! Great!

    A two day closed beta period before release would have solved this. Excellent!

    The ooooold error. I get disconnected randomly, either directly when joining, on the way to a mission, moments before finishing the mission, while hunting. It's just a pain and you have to start over again & again.

    Opening ports did not helped, open NAT-Type with DMZ-Host also changed nothing. We even tried different Routers (7 different ones in price span of 150-350€) - no changes. Even though the support tries to tell me the problem is on my side.

    I had this in GTA5 already and still have it, now in RDR aswell, so i think it's more a R* thing :)

    Charging people the full price for a 1 year old game just ported to pc is disappointing enough already. All the errors i had/have made me refund this piece of "Greed Money making machine"    … Expand

    Yes, for this I collected a computer and honestly bought the game in the official launcher, so that it does not run. Bravo Rockstar, the worst launcher in history, like the failed launch on PC!

    Это просто катастрофа. Начиная от курсора мышки на экране кончая не рабочим ТАА. Ну и как венец со смены Вулкана на ДХ12 игра перестала запускаться. Пять часов попыток запустить не к чему не привели. Игры прошёл на Хбоксе Х. На свой памяти, даже не вспомню такого фейла.Это просто катастрофа.     Poor optimization with good hardware, it was a real downer that this game came out in the state that it did, it is a good game if you can play it, this feels like a fallout 76 launch scenario, will be sticking to GTA 5 online until it is fixed, sorry but this aint it cheif

I am playing it again a year later on my PC with much improved graphics and controls and I have to say that my initial feelings about this game have not changed at all. This is the best game I have ever played.     This generation’s game is one of the best games ever released. I recommend it. It’s a complete failure in terms of optimization. This is a repetition of the situation with GTA4 in 2008, but this should not affect the evaluation of the game itself, RG will fix all the problems.

    Кааак же меня бесит эта игра, почему ГГ такой сука тормоз, я понимаю это типа "реалистично", но какого черта надо было делать его настоооолько медленным в разных локациях, какого черта я должен смотреть как он совершает каждое мать его действие, каждый обыск тела, каждый сраный ящик...     RDR2 on pc is super enjoyable . graphic on pc if set to maximum you think is movie because lighting , shadow , water quality and distance are super realistic in pc version but game has some bugs on pc version but hopefully fix in future .

    This game is really good. Many people said that this game is poorly optimized, but it isn't, yes, it has some problems, but they started to solve them, and few of them got fixed, at the moment, the game is perfectly playable. And just watch for Digital Foundry's video about all graphics setting.

    Don't know about the story, narrative etc... But optimization is non existent in this game!!!

    Incredibly good game. Story, characters, graphics and animations are stunning. Game of the year! It took 1 year to get the RDD2 to PC, but waiting paid off. :)
    I have no problems with game at all. The game run fine from day one.

    I'm running the game on a GTX 1080, i6700k, 16 GB ram, win10 pro, everything is up to date, I have all    Wow, just wow.     A masterpiece: huge open world that feels alive, wonderful story, well tempered pace of the game. Feeling a gunslinger and an outlaw now, where is my kraken rum...
    Getting 70 FPS on average on high settings at 1440p resolution.
    Played it on PS4 before and oh boy the graphics and controls are so much better on PC.

    An absorbing tale that will test your machine and tear ducts. A game that did not suffer from being brought to PC. RDR2 is worth overcoming all the shortcomings, since it is one of the best games of the decade. [Issue#300]

    My biggest warning to anyone considering purchasing RDR2 on PC is that you need to have patience when you set it up. Take the time to go through each graphics option, compare your performance on Vulkan vs. DirectX 12, and tailor the game to your specs. Once you have the game tuned, there’s no better way to experience it than on PC.
