    it horrible, because with with i5 7500, gtx1060 and 16gb i had 20 fps. Trying to fixed it I updated nvidia drivers, and now i have another problem - i even can`t run a game!!! unexpected error with exit rockstar launcher.
    Great work guys!!! waste of money which i can`t return

    After a bad, bad, bad beguining with crashes etc. They patched few things and the game works with some crashed. A new updated 1 month after that... annnnddd it's gone... The game crash again and is unplayable. RS are you a joke ?

    I always respected RockstarGames for its previous games, but this one right here is just a catastrophe. The game can't even launch due to a rockstar launcher error telling it "Excited unexpectedly". I'm really disappointed as they made us pay 70€ / 60€ to only test their game and end up finding that it doesn't even work.     Terrible optimized game, the game is amazing, but the pc port is really horrible, isn't possible that a gtx 1080ti doesn't can run at 60 fps 1080p, this is embarrasing, please Rockstar optimize this game and i give this 10

    I'm giving a 0 on this platform because I can't finish a single mission without a crash and they won't refund me. I spent 60 dollars on a game less playable than QWOP.

    Go and buy pistol whip instead of this AAA crap. What a blast of a game! No bugs, good performance, lot of replayability.

    Single player is pretty good but the online portion suffers from extremely frequent disconnects, making unplayable. The same error PC users get has been a known issue for Xbox one an PS4 users for over a year, and has yet to be fixed. Buying this title is a gamble.

    It took an hour to simply start the game. Disable antivirus (?), disable HDR in TV settings, start game in safe mode..
    DX12 does not work. Game closes without any error. Have to delete game settings files and start game in safe mode after changing mode to DX12.

    It's a shame, I can't open the game, the launcher closes more than 24 hours and Rockstar doesn't even give a satisfaction to its customers.
    The game is amazing, but ROCKSTAR is a SHAME.

    What an abomination, and I was looking forward to this. Terrible performance, game stutters every few minutes even on low settings and crashes/bugs everywhere. Controls clearly designed and ported from console, no thought made for PC. This is a bad console port. Launcher is a **** also.

    Специально для этой игры разорился на RTX 2080, так как знал, что игра требовательна к железу. В итоге на моей мощной системе игра даже не запускается. Уже два дня. Следовательно, ничего выше нуля.

Boi what comes next is beyond human imagination, because instead of gameplay i get like 0.05 fps, 10-minute freezes, and sound stuttering with terrible noizes of old drunkards sitting in hell or something. Если бы ребята хотя бы подогревали интерес, даже не извиняясь, а проста держа в курсе, что работают над устранением проблем, негатива стало бы меньше. В каком то роде они меня услышали и только сегодня, спустя два дня после релиза, сказали что исправляют ошибки, вот только уже поздно.

    The game just doesn't start. Constant unexpected errors. Rockstar's Support article provides general solutions for disabling antiviruses and updating drivers, but none of them have any meaning.
    Nothing helps.

    The game was not yet ready for release on a PC. Shame.

RX 580 & GTX 1060 can't even maintain 30fps @ 1080p at high-ultra settings while I get over 80fps on max settings @ 1080p in Call of Duty Modern Warfare which is also just released. And GTX 1080 which will easily give you over 60fps @ 2k Ultra settings in almost every game, can't run this game 60fps @ 1080p. I've been getting 45fps @ 1080p Ultra with GTX 1080. This just makes me not want to play it on PC, and I've spent over 8hrs by just testing benchmark so I can't even refund the game :(
    P.S: I love RDR2 alot, its one of the best games of all time and I really enjoyed playing it on PS4 Pro even though it had blurry graphics on it but still it worked fine. I pre-order again on PC just to play it on Max settings but optimization is so bad that its just ain't gonna work, even though I have the right hardware to run it.    … Expand

    The actual game itself is amazing. The performance will hurt your feelings though.
    I have an EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3 overclocked to 2050Mhz and an 8700K at 5.0GHz with 16GB of 4133MHz TridentZ RGB and I have to run 1440P at Medium/High to get 60 frames per second.

    the controls are just awful, aim either do not react to mouse movements or jumps all over the place making precision shooting pretty much impossible. moreover good old Arthur moves around any terrain with    my biggest beef isn't even with poor optimization or bugs. i run rather high-end system and get good 2K60FPS with no crasher. even if it's on medium and not ultras FOR WHATEVER REASON R*.
    the controls are just awful, aim either do not react to mouse movements or jumps all over the place making precision shooting pretty much impossible. moreover good old Arthur moves around any terrain with all the grace and agility of a MARK IV tank stuck in flandrian mud. though the game does look stunning even on high/medium settings, underneath all the graphical Innovation game and mission design haven't evolved one bit since San Andreas, drive to a point, do shooty-shooty, watch cutscene. you can't go off the beaten path, you can't get creative with your tactics, you're not a player you're an actor on a set of a tyrant-director and you will follow the script to a letter, mister! not to mention half the time with all the autorides, autoaims, autodialogues and the rest of "helpful" automated systems it feels like the damn game plays itself! no particupation required.
    I can't believe I'm saying this but this game should've stayed on consoles. it's designed and meant to be played like a pure console game: with controller in one hand and a can of beer in a another, moving one stick and pushing one button    … Expand

    The worst release of the game from RSG, a week has passed since the release, the launch problems have not yet been fixed. The game then works, after a while it does not work, pumping 100 GB to start the game is a masterpiece.

    I find it ridiculous that rockstar released the pc game without the minimum gameplay required. The game is terrible, really horrible. playing for 43 hours, I realized this:

    1- Anything makes the horse fall. 2- Anything causes someone to report you and have to lose money paying for the reward. 3- Every mission has bugs and glitches. 4- Conflict with gangs you always die because the    I find it ridiculous that rockstar released the pc game without the minimum gameplay required. The game is terrible, really horrible. playing for 43 hours, I realized this:

    1- Anything makes the horse fall.
    2- Anything causes someone to report you and have to lose money paying for the reward.
    3- Every mission has bugs and glitches.
    4- Conflict with gangs you always die because the life system is horrible.
    5- You spend more time getting around the map than actually playing.
    6. The legendary animal hunting system has tracking flaws and if you hunt the animal and die for anything, you simply lose the animal.
    7- It is impossible to commit crimes without having to deal with witnesses (idiot).

    Anyway, the game has a beautiful setting and a cool story, but if it were just for that I would rather see a movie, NOT A GAME.

    The cool thing is that as I played for more than two hours, I can't get refunded. Congratulations RockStar for fooling me into making me buy a game that isn't fit to play.    … Expand

    I have had this game now since it came out almost a week ago. Not managed to get it to run for more than 10-15minutes. It crashes all the time. Be warned!

    Terrible port. The performance is really bad considering how well it runs on consoles. There's also a lot of stutters and crashes on day-1. It's pretty sad how this is all Rockstar did in 1 year.

    Очень плохо оптимизированная игра,баги с текстурами,с меню,вылеты на рабочий стол при создании персонажа в онлайне.Нет кнопки по снятию ограничения по видеопамяти как в GTA 5.Можно писать ещё очень много но всего не опишеш.Сильно разочарован.неправильное отображение самой видеопамяти вместо 4 г. Показывает 2.5.     The game is really in bad shape. I do not have stuttering and have seen that mostly Intel with four core processors have that problem. I am happy I have Ryzen then. In any case, it crashes quite often so I have to repeat the missions several times. That is bad, I was not expecting such a bad state of the game.

Seriously, I waited and waited because the patch will come, the problem will be solved and the game might run and then it run terribly on a PC well above the recommended specs. I'm done. Keep your pre-order bonus Rockstar, I'mSo I've just spent way too much money on a game that won't even launch...     The game is poorly optimized and has a handful of bugs unfortunately, it's a shame that Rockstar Games released the so awaited PC version in its current state, i had to update my motherboard BIOS to be able to run the game and even so it runs like **** and have a lot of bugs. Not worth it right now IMO, wait for a few months so Rockstar releases patches fixing the game, Right now is unplayable

    Currently unplayable due to issues with the games software. Game freezes constantly for about 30 seconds, this happens every minute or two. Rockstar offers no solution to these problems. Unacceptable for a AAA release that costs 60 dollars.

    First they show us the middle finger not launching it simultaneously with consoles and then they do this half assed lazy port and do exclusivity deals with Epic too!! Most PC gamers don't realize it BUT Rockstar North has gone to the darkside, to church of EA-Activision and have become that which they parody in their games!!

    I am very very very sorry I bought this!!

    It is impossible to play, the game constantly slows down even at the lowest graphics settings. The processor is 100% loaded with the game. I5-6600 processor, graphics card GTX-1060 6GB.Rockstar has no conscience.

Crashes, texture bugs. 5 second CPU freezes every now and then… I believe this is the worst pc port of the generation considering that Rockstar had all the time and money in the world to work on the PC version.

This is a legit fun game and when im not perma-stuck talking to cripps or dc'ing due to a "rockstar error" then it is really fun and a beautiful game. Those moments are few and far between though. If you are looking to buy this game for the multiplayer wait until they get their **** together because the server disconnecting us as soon as we join the same free roam is not my idea of fun. Garbage servers, I have a ridiculous computer and I can't play because of something I can't fix or help... Rockstar get your **** together    … Expand

    I'm giving it a 0 because the online portion of the game is a joke. Every 5 minutes you get a 0x20010006 error code that has no fix as well as an issue where the fps drops to 2. The support asks you on twitter to make a ticket for assistance yet they don't respond to you. If this wasn't an issue the game would be amazing and I'd have a blast online.

    Red Dead has been my favorite series for over a decade, and I've been anticipating this release for nearly four years.

    However, Rockstar took $80 and gave me a broken game. 8 second+ freezes every twenty seconds. CTDs every thirty minutes. After the launcher update, it simply won't start.

    Played it on Ps4 and Cannot launch the game on PC with Rockstar Launcher; tried everything possible.

    ERROR CODE 0x20010006 makes this game unplayable. After waiting for the game and paying top price, it is useless as a multiplayer game. It works ok for solo games, but that is not what I signed up for when I paid full price for the game. STAY AWAY

    Never wrote any reviews, but this sh** made me to. Guys don't buy this game. I could only launch it for 16 minutes (as epic tells me) and after that I've got a crash. I am not able to launch it more. Any suggestions in web and from developer don't help.
    And a watercooled Titan Xp couldn’t run it in 1080p on ultra.
    I think that nvidia asked Rockstar for such “optimizations”. RTX sales promo.

Первая игра что даже на минималках вообще не может стабильно работать. Это худший запуск у рокстаров. 1 из 10. Сейчас вообще не советую ее покупать.Прошел игру еще год назад на пс4. DO NOT BUY IT unless you want to deal with utterly $h@it optimisation (my 980ti with 24GB RAM, 3GHz 12 cores CPU and SSDs can barely handle it in 1080p) unless you like extremely annoying steering (huge delays), terrible camera, massively frustrating auto save (sometimes you lose 15 minutes that you need to repeat on and on) and worst launcher I have ever seen. I wishThe game is rubbish.     Didnt complain about the vomitive ports we received 11 years ago with GTA IV and Bully on Steam, nor with the awful L.A. Noire 30 FPS cap, even I tolerated that GTA V was launched 1,3 years after the next gen and we didnt received nothing but in-game premium currency and non-single-player content, but this is a real FCKING shame and Rockstar owes the PC Community a million apologizes. A million.

    Not only we do have to wait one more year to see our GOTY wishlist games to be launched to our devoted platform, but we also have to be content with a shady developer whose prime directives consists on signing exclusive contracts to see them endorsed to the console platforms for 1 full year and abusing their 2 latest releases (excellent on single-player content) to see them only focused on their dull online attributes.

    My setup consists on a pretty decent 1660Ti, plus a bit outdated i5 7400 plus 16 GB of RAM. The joke about this? The most sterile scene in the game, and the first, some snowy planes, brings death to my FPS. 40 frames per second on Low-Mid settings? Impossible...

    If you wish to see this game bloom and get to a healthy state of performance, keep post abismal reviews and Twitter, so maybe R* becomes fully aware of this tremendoulsy terrible issue and they finally update the game with a quality-of-life patch, not like the futile placebo composed by 5 minor fixes thay they made 48 hours ago.    … Expand

    Spent 60$ on the preorder and the game didnt launch on launch day with the ROCKSTAR LAUNCHER crashing all the time..

    Then after 2 patches and some rockstar launcher update it finally launches but I get a massive FPS drop and the game crashes after 30-45mins ingame.. GTA5 runs fine right now on the same ssd drive... Gonna have to wait but for now the game is unplayable for me so I will    Spent 60$ on the preorder and the game didnt launch on launch day with the ROCKSTAR LAUNCHER crashing all the time..

    You want to get somewhere fast? Well you can't run in towns. You can't fast travel. You can ride your horse, but if you sprint too much it will throw you off. If you accidentally clip a rock or tree it will throw you off. Now go play in a world FULL of rocks and trees. If you don't brush the horse enough, it won't obey you. Get off the horse at any point to look at something and it will wander off. If it goes too far it won't return when you call for it.

    You want to play a story mission? I hope you're prepared for a long journey to a random destination alongside another character. No, you can't skip it. Yes, you have to press the controls to make your horse travel the entire way, even though you have a set path.

    You want to get on with the plot? Well sorry but you need to make sure your character eats or he will die. You have to have baths or the game will force you. You have to shave. You have to return to camp to change your clothes depending on the randomly generated weather because if it's too sunny and you're wearing a heavy coat, you'll overheat and die.

    You want to hunt? First you have to go through a lengthy tracking section, then you have to sneak up on the animal, shoot it in the right spot or you'll damage the pelt. Then you need to skin it in a lengthy animation, carry the carcass back to your horse, and take it all the way home to sell and craft. If you don't go back quick enough, it will rot and the whole exercise will be pointless. Oh, and only a small fraction of the animals have pristine pelts anyway - the others are worthless.

    Your hat got knocked off during a fight? Spend 30 seconds finding it and picking it up.

    You want to search a house for loot? Awkwardly steer your character towards every drawer and cupboard, then watch the lengthy opening animation, then the animation of collecting each item.

    You want to loot dead bodies after a fight? You need to hold down a button so your character lumbers into the right position, then does a long looting animation. Then you need to do that for EVERY enemy.

    There is not a single element of this game which is not made unpleasant to play by awkward, sluggish, time consuming controls.

    The 2/10 rating I have given it is PURELY for the stunning visuals and acting.

    This game took 2,500 people 8 years and a quarter of a billion dollars to make. And they made a **** mess.    … Expand

    An absorbing tale that will test your machine and tear ducts. A game that did not suffer from being brought to PC. RDR2 is worth overcoming all the shortcomings, since it is one of the best games of the decade. [Issue#300]

    My biggest warning to anyone considering purchasing RDR2 on PC is that you need to have patience when you set it up. Take the time to go through each graphics option, compare your performance on Vulkan vs. DirectX 12, and tailor the game to your specs. Once you have the game tuned, there’s no better way to experience it than on PC.
