    Have just registered here to tell: do not buy this piece of unplayable code.
    Crashes on launch, crashes during in-game benchmark, crashes anytime during gameplay. Totally unoptimized (there is no build of your PC which give you stable gaming process). Do not try it even for free.

    I love this game. It's a masterpiece, I played it on PS4 on launch day and it is one of the best games of this console, however.... The PC Porto's absolute garbage. Don't bother even trying if you don't have a GTX 1080TI or something newer. I have that gpu, 16gb of ram at 3000mhz and i78700k at 4.8ghz and I can barely reach 50 fps on regular zones. This port does not live up to the name ofI love this game. It's a masterpiece, I played it on PS4 on launch day and it is one of the best games of this console, however....     Terrible port. The performance is really bad considering how well it runs on consoles. There's also a lot of stutters and crashes on day-1. It's pretty sad how this is all Rockstar did in 1 year.

    The game is still very raw, runs very badly on my RTX 2060, I'm playing high with 25 FPS, it's horrible.

    Optimized? For what? And if that wasnt enough graphic problems and the most annoying mouse / keyboard implementation ever. Constantly being forced to press the right mouse button to not miss hints or conversations? Thank you. I was so hyped. And no refund...

    Never wrote any reviews, but this sh** made me to. Guys don't buy this game. I could only launch it for 16 minutes (as epic tells me) and after that I've got a crash. I am not able to launch it more. Any suggestions in web and from developer don't help.
    And a watercooled Titan Xp couldn’t run it in 1080p on ultra.
    I think that nvidia asked Rockstar for such “optimizations”. RTX sales promo.

    Я избегал сюжетных спойеров, и в целом шума вокруг игры храня надежду на то, что она рано или поздно доберется до ПК. И этот день настал. Безусловно это "ранняя" оценка, но могу сразу заявить, что как и прежде это было с GTAV RockStar добились потрясающей оптимизации для ПК. Что три/четыре года назад я со своим древним компом и квадратным моником смог получить отличную графику иЯ избегал сюжетных спойеров, и в целом шума вокруг игры храня надежду на то, что она рано или поздно доберется до ПК. И этот день настал. Безусловно это "ранняя" оценка, но могу сразу заявить, что как и прежде это было с GTAV RockStar добились потрясающей оптимизации для ПК. Что три/четыре года назад я со своим древним компом и квадратным моником смог получить отличную графику и минимальное количество лагов, что сейчас, уже с нормальным компом я не испытываю никаких проблем при запуске.
    Не нужно рассчитывать, что офисный Intel I3-***** с радостью потянет эту игру, и что 4-8 гигов хватит, и что какая-нибудь чахлая 1050ti и тому подобная видеокарта с лёгкостью справится с проработанной графикой и максимальными настройками при FullHD разрешении. Будьте реалистами и читайте требования к рекомендуемой спецификации вашего ПК. Я ожидал худшего но со своей GTX1070, видеокартой двухлетней давности, но как выходит - я пока не испытываю никаких проблем при максимальных настройках при FullHD разрешении.
    Для тех кто не в курсе - не выкручивайте на "качество" ползунки драйверов вашей видюхи, и не включайте сглаживание, отсядьте на рекомендуемое расстояние от монитора, и получайте удовольствие. Если же вам хватило ума выкрутить сглаживание на максимум - то конечно ожидайте подвисаний и лагов.
    Повторюсь, люди с офисными ПК - ваше железо хуже даже деревянных приставок, хотя бы до их уровня дотяните свои железяки, может что и выйдет.
    По поводу проблем при запуске, я не избежал их, и был какое-то время недоволен, ибо предзагрузил игру, потом ждал пока это дело "распакуется"(читай расшифруется), а после еще смотрел в бесконечный экран загрузки. Чтобы избежать банальных проблем следуйте простым советам - максимально обновите систему, ибо игра подгонялась под последние обновления, обновите дрова на видяху и в том числе установите DirectX, если лаунчер не сделал это за вас, установщик лежит в директории с игрой, после всех манипуляций с дровами - отправляйтесь в ребут, если за вас это не сделали установщики софта.    … Expand

It's not just that there's one single bug, there's layers of different bugs causing CTDs, awful performance, graphical features that don't do anything, and all kinds of graphics errors. You can roll the dice and hope you get lucky, but unless you're in a rush, just wait.

    Absolutely loved the game on Xbox One, absolutely hating it on PC and that's saying a lot since I am mainly a PC gamer. The controls are poorly thought out and cannot be changed the game is buggy and constantly freezes. It also seems that the game has not been tested at all. The people who decided that the game was ready for launch should sacked! What an epic failure!

    To start - you need to turn off the antivirus;
    To adjust the texture - you need to restart the game;
    to play - you have to close your mouth and be tolerant;
    crash on the first attack on a train.. -10 10.

    After installing the game I tweaked some graphics settings and tried to run the included benchmark which resulted in multiple crashes after multiple attempts. Restarted my computer. Benchmark no longer crashes the game. Once in-game I continue to tweak settings to get decent 60fps-ish performance on my 1080ti based machine. The game is far more demanding than Rockstar let on. As a test, IAfter installing the game I tweaked some graphics settings and tried to run the included benchmark which resulted in multiple crashes after multiple attempts. Restarted my computer. Benchmark no longer crashes the game. Once in-game I continue to tweak settings to get decent 60fps-ish performance on my 1080ti based machine. The game is far more demanding than Rockstar let on. As a test, I switch from Vulkan to DX12. Can't detect a difference. Decide to restart my machine again just because, now RDR2 won't start at all. Tried to start the game a dozen times, each time it fails. I can't play the game. Rockstar, don't release your game if it isn't ready to be played. ZERO… Expand

The PC Community is waiting for this game for a whole year and it seems like its a bad console port like GTA IV. Even a rig with an Intel Core i7-9700K, 32GB RAM and a RTX 2080Ti can handle this game smoothly at 60fps. I really hope they release a patch forFirst of all: This game is a Masterpiece!     Not gonna lie, it's probably best game I've ever played. My favourite game. But it's very bad optimized for PC. I expected better performance after GTA 5. I hope Rockstar will release a patch for this poor optimization.

    0 Stars for no character transfer. Oh Rockstar... There is no way I'm re-grinding online, so that by the time I finally get caught up hackers will have modded the game into a shtshow. Good single player, awkward rocks and hills as with any R* game.

    Im decrypting this game for more than 3 hours and its going to take another 1 hour at best. Game release from rockstar on Pc at its best like always.

    The game works great. I only played for 10 minutes, unfortunately the charms of adulthood do not allow me to play today, but from Friday I start the marathon with RDR2.
    I will update the review after some time but for the moment RDR2 on the PC looks fabulous and I can't wait for the weekend to sink in this amazing world. Thanks R*

    The game is unoptimized there is no gpu to play rdr2 on ultra 4k 60 fps the rtx2080ti and 8700k nearly runs 45 fps and drops to 20 fps I am disappointed rockstar

    Red Dead Redemption 2 combines many of my favorite things in video games. A great main lead, gripping story, fun and deep characters, a fantastic and detailed world to get lost in... the list keeps going on.

    I have played through the game twice so far, going so far as to "triple dip" On a PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and now of course a mighty PC. Each of my playthroughs I seem to find    Red Dead Redemption 2 combines many of my favorite things in video games. A great main lead, gripping story, fun and deep characters, a fantastic and detailed world to get lost in... the list keeps going on.

    I have played through the game twice so far, going so far as to "triple dip" On a PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and now of course a mighty PC. Each of my playthroughs I seem to find something new. A new area a missed or new character I just did not see. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous, from small details like snow setting on trees only to be brushed off as you pass by to wildlife acting like, well, like wildlife! It all helps pull you into this fantastic world.

    And while the world might pull you in, the characters and story keep you HOOKED throughout the lengthy playtime. I was always left guessing where Arthur and his band of misfits would end up next.. it would always surprise me and, at times, break my heart. (no spoilers)

    Gameplay consists of your player character, Arthur Morgan, going on missions in the varied open world much like a Grand Theft Auto game. Except swap cars for horses and a city for wilderness with some civilization throughout. You accept these missions by walking up to a character (whom I can pretty much all name based on looks given their distinct personality, a rare feat for me) and talking to them.
    Gunplay is a typical third person shooter with some specific features like the infamous Dead Eye which slows down the game for you to line up, and eventually target, better more accurate shots to specific body parts. You can also customize your looks AND guns through different shops in the game. Allowing you to tailor Arthur to your playstyle.

    In conclusion Red Dead Redemption 2 is, in my humble opinion, a masterwork of worldbuilding, story, and technical artistry. And while I understand some do not like the slower way the game is paced compared to Grand Theft Auto V, to me this game shines in pretty much all departments.

    Red Dead Redemption 2 for me deserves all the accolades it has received and of course deserves a:

    10 out of 10.

    An absorbing tale that will test your machine and tear ducts. A game that did not suffer from being brought to PC. RDR2 is worth overcoming all the shortcomings, since it is one of the best games of the decade. [Issue#300]

    My biggest warning to anyone considering purchasing RDR2 on PC is that you need to have patience when you set it up. Take the time to go through each graphics option, compare your performance on Vulkan vs. DirectX 12, and tailor the game to your specs. Once you have the game tuned, there’s no better way to experience it than on PC.
