    Great game!Thank You Rockstar!The atmosphere of the game draws from the head.The plot is at the level in the game you can live for months.There are of course questions on optimization, but I believe that Rockstar will eliminate them over time.My score is 9/10.

    The worst release of the game from RSG, a week has passed since the release, the launch problems have not yet been fixed. The game then works, after a while it does not work, pumping 100 GB to start the game is a masterpiece.

    Paid $100 for a broken game. First I fought with Epic Games for a refund which they refused. Since I had fought through more than two hours of the game crashing they feel I have gotten my $100 worth. Will never buy another game from them again.

    Layers of CTD causing bugs. I fix one issue then find another. Rockstar support doesnt know whats wrong with the game and now im stuck in a 72    Paid $100 for a broken game.     Red Dead has been my favorite series for over a decade, and I've been anticipating this release for nearly four years.

    However, Rockstar took $80 and gave me a broken game. 8 second+ freezes every twenty seconds. CTDs every thirty minutes. After the launcher update, it simply won't start.

    So broken. The game would open, but the resolution was messed up. No options to modify the settings from the rock star launcher. No amount of changing Nvidia Ctrl panel settings would fix it. ended up opening Task Manager, task killing the game, and opening it in "safe mode" allowed it to come up in a windowed mode that finally let me see wtf was going on and make changes. Overall timeSo broken. The game would open, but the resolution was messed up. No options to modify the settings from the rock star launcher.     Finally got to play. I made it out of the frozen mountains in story mode, but every time I try to go to the nearby town with Uncle (quest), the game crashes. I've driven the Wagon to town 3 times now and it keeps crashing at various times during the mission, no ability to save at all so I just have to keep driving the Wagon to town. Wagon riding simulator 2019. :*(

    After starting a new campaign, the game would periodically freeze for several seconds which completely ruined the gameplay experience.

    There are no excuses for releasing such junk with a $60 price tag. If it wasn't ready then don't release it. When you buy something it should work as soon as the transaction is made, unless stated otherwise in a disclaimer.     Tried every "fix" that has been released and the game keeps crashing. Tried to get a refund and have been told by Epic because I have more than 2 hours I don't qualify. Rockstar and Epic have done a pre-holidy money grab. Wait until it comes out on Steam because at least then you'll know it's working and if not have a decent chance to get your money back.

    Terrible support for the game, technical support is almost not responsible, it is impossible to play Online, every 5 minutes throws in the menu with a communication error, how can such a raw, unfinished produce for a full price tag.

    Game is the best ever made. You can't try to play above your hardware. I am running on ultra 1440 but I have a 2080ti and i9 processor with 32 gbs of ram. Hunting is awesome, with eagle eye you can track injured animials or see which direction your scent is going. Awesome world to get lost in. I have no problems game runs like smooth butter.

    Во время анонса порта первой части я с нетерпением ждал анонса, но его не случилось. Когда же появился предзаказ второй части на ПК я тут же его взял. Понимая что мой пк может не потянуть эту игру(хотя со всеми другими справлялся). Собрал i3 9100f, 16 гб озу и 1060 и начал пробовать запускать.     Через несколько дней вышел патч, но он ничего не исправил в моей ситуации. Благо хоть получается иногда с первого раза пройти миссию в онлайне.
    Игра покупалась исключительно для игры в RDR Online с друзьями с которыми играть невозможно из-за постоянных вылетов и ошибок.
    Почему такая оценка? интересный мир и толпа заданий, не дают заскучать, но то что ты их пройти не можешь, очень огорчает.    … Expand

    Друзья, хочу внести свои 5 копеек, по поводу оптимизации, проблемы есть, но мне повезло не столкнуться с теми, кои описывают многие, на моей системе, разогнанной gtx 1080, i7-8700k и 16gb в разрешении 2560-1080 в ультра настройках выдаёт стабильные 38-45 кадров, никаких фризов замечено не было, в 4к выдаёт в ультра, с масштабированием 0.9 в самых тяжёлых стенах 26, в среднем 30 кадров, вДрузья, хочу внести свои 5 копеек, по поводу оптимизации, проблемы есть, но мне повезло не столкнуться с теми, кои описывают многие, на моей системе, разогнанной gtx 1080, i7-8700k и 16gb в разрешении 2560-1080 в ультра настройках выдаёт стабильные 38-45 кадров, никаких фризов замечено не было, в 4к выдаёт в ультра, с масштабированием 0.9 в самых тяжёлых стенах 26, в среднем 30 кадров, в горах 38 (Что странно ведь 4к картинка больше чем в 3 раза). Даже в почти 4к играть комфортно, благо нет фризов, для сингла вполне нормальные кадры, для онлайн конечно придётся понижать настройки, но все же. DirectX 12 выдаёт у меня на 2 кадра больше нежели Vulkan, у многих наоборот. Столкнулся с вылетами в Валинтайн, когда на скорости въезжаешь в город, приходится заезжать медленно. Больше пока лагов не было, наиграл часов 15. В целом проблемы есть, но я верю в Rockstar, надеюсь, что доработают. Ну, а по самой игре, ну что тут сказать - это шедевр, как в плане сюжета, графики, так и в плане геймплей.     On the first day, the game was difficult, but it started. True, I had to work with the settings, the swap file and pretend that you did not notice 10 second freezes.     Red dead redemption 2 на PC, отличная идея. Отличная графика, проработка деталей, хорошая атмосфера и сжимающиеся машонка на морозе коня. В версии для PC улучшили освещение, физику и управление. Единственный минус игры - это её сырость. Игра очень сырая и плохо оптимизирована для данной платформы. Но мы то знаем, что Rockstar умеет делать игры.Red dead redemption 2 на PC, отличная идея. You could get lucky and play the game perfectly with no issues in single player or online, or you could have an unplayable mess from a game that is already a year old. The servers are a mess and can't handle anywhere near the capacity necessary, and the game itself has serious problems, that require external programs and dumb solutions to even mitigate,PC version is such a complete farce.     Not to mention the online side of the game adopts the same greedy, cash grabbing balancing system that we all know and love from Rockstar, with large parts of the system locked behind a hard ~2 week daily grind without paying extra for. But don't worry, you can buy literally everything with gold (premium currency), from weapon upgrades, to entirely new weapons, to flat out raw power horse upgrades and so on, there's nothing in the game you can't buy or make significantly easier with the premium currency.    … Expand

    At first I experienced many errors while trying to play the game but those have for the most part stopped, just a crash once in a while but nothing compared to what it use to be. Just to be clear the problems that others are reporting are very real and not it is not the fault of them. This game error free is truly a beautiful great game. ALL of the drivers are up to date. Every time I start the Rock Star launcher for RDRD2, I get an "Error, no compatible Sound card detected" message. I have a ticket submitted to Rock Star, but NONE of their suggested fixesI was one of the many that preordered this game months in advance, hoping to be able to play it on November the 5, 2019. My rig is a year old ASUS G703GS gaming laptop. ALL of the drivers are up to date. Every time I start the Rock Star launcher for RDRD2, I get an "Error, no compatible Sound card detected" message. I have a ticket submitted to Rock Star, but NONE of their suggested fixes work. I'm on day 6, post launch and still can't run the game.     On a hunting trip for a legendary grizzly bear. Went running after it all the way through a train tunnel. Tried calling my horse and realized I had to hike around the mountain all the way back.
    Ended up killing and skinning a ram.
    Found a man being attacked by a wolf, tried to save him but accidentally punched him and he died.     I went through the incredibly obnoxious process of creating a Metacritic account to post this review; why? Because this game is so, so terribly awful. The amount of bugs in RDR2 on PC are just beyond what is acceptable. I was laughing this morning when I encountered a new, game breaking one.

    Now, beyond the gamebreaking bugs, the game itself is just very, very bad. The amount of bugs in RDR2 on PC are just beyond what is acceptable. I was laughing this morning when I encountered a new, game breaking one.

    Now, beyond the gamebreaking bugs, the game itself is just very, very bad. The wolves in the beginning, the snow, just about every part of the game is designed specifically to drain as much fun out of your life as possible.     I´m updating my review as Rockstar continues to improve and correct one of the worst launch of all time! The game itself is a pleasure and a state of art. The game is totally unoptimized, and i´m playing about 40fps in medium with my gtx970. But even like that, i´m enjoying and spending hours and hours into the game and i don´t even start the main quests yet. Hope Rockstar can fix allI´m updating my review as Rockstar continues to improve and correct one of the worst launch of all time! The game itself is a pleasure and a state of art. The game is totally unoptimized, and i´m playing about 40fps in medium with my gtx970.     Amazing game, getting review bombed by players that can't get the game to work. I'm running perfectly fine with the following: 1070/i7 6700k, 16gb ram/ssd install - 1440p on high avg 45-50fps.

По техническим причинам которые многие пишут нет претензий, да бывают подвисания в городах, но они на столько незначительные, что просто не обращаешь на них внимания. НО!     one of the best games ever! The game is running fine in fhd with high-ultra settings (60-100fps with r5 2600, 16gb ram, 5700xt nitro+). Dx12 is randomly crash, but on vulkan i haven’t got any issues from the start date.

    Here many complain that the game does not work well or does not work for 60$. But my case is even cooler.
    Rockstar took my money and .... canceled the order. Those. they took the money and gave me no game whatsoever. They just STOLE my money.
    Money does not return. The support service has been silent for three days.

It's simple, if you're a PC gamer and you a) understand the inherent issues that will bring and b) have a PC that meets the specification then you will reap the reward for playing the game on the best platform available.     My wife and I ordered the ultimate edition through R* launcher and on release day hers crashed with 'Rockstar launcher has exited unexpectedly ' so with 5 minutes of adjustments added a command line switch if -windowed and then switched to full screen once in game.
    She now plays at 3440x1440 at around 60fps on the minimum spec card (ATI RX480) and 16G RAM on a 3rd gen i7.
    We've played for the last 5 days and aside from a few disconnects the experience has been amazing. We did note that after R*'s first path the command line switch was no longer needed so everything's good. A big bonus came from the unexpected level of maturity from 'most,' of the online players too. Aside from the odd KOS dickhead people do seem to have embraced the concept of 'live and let live' which I really didnt expect, maybe a reflection of the maturity level that comes with the better platform? Dont like what I'm saying for whatever reason? Then ask yourself why not, maybe you're one of those that shouldn't be around a PC, that's what consoles are for..

    Day 6...let's see how it goes but I'm not holding my breath, cockstar are obviously not seeing this as too important since we have to wait a fair amount of time for updates and communication from them is at ZERO!

    I'll change my score when I can actually play but right now I'd get more fun watching paint dry and without all of the pain of having to struggle with it to try and get it running.    … Expand

We had problems at 5th of November(so is English government at 1605 lol) but once they released a 2gb update, it fixed everything for me. No FPS drops, no crashing etc.

    Also I LOVED the game physics. It looks like you watch an animation movie, not playing a game. Everything is so smooth.

And I know it's not the developer's fault, it's the publisher's and shareholders fault for forcing them to release an unpolished, broken game that coulve needed a couple more months in developement. What even is the point in preordering games anymore, if the games are gonna be unplayable at launch anyways?

    Now at first the story the general gameplay and the world is amazing but the huge problem with this game is the technical part, the port to PC is more some kind of beta.     A masterpiece: huge open world that feels alive, wonderful story, well tempered pace of the game. Feeling a gunslinger and an outlaw now, where is my kraken rum...
    Getting 70 FPS on average on high settings at 1440p resolution.
    Played it on PS4 before and oh boy the graphics and controls are so much better on PC.

Many people said that this game is poorly optimized, but it isn't, yes, it has some problems, but they started to solve them, and few of them got fixed, at the moment, the game is perfectly playable.     For some reason i have little issues with running RDR2. Controls are a bit consolish and there are more than few bugs.
    Make sure you run dx12, Vulkan causes high frametimes atm. Running 60-75fps on High /w Ultra textures (2560x1080) on a RX5700 and a i5 8400.

    Hope Rockstar patches some issues.

    + Реалистичные физика и анимация: ткани, снег, движения животных и персонажей сделаны на фантастическом уровне.
    + Детальность проработки поражает воображение: видно, с какой любовью подошли те, кто занимался созданием мира RDR2, и как пытались максимально уйти от игровых условностей в сторону большей реалистичности.
    + Лично у меня нет претензий к оптимизации, игра отлично идет на средне-высоких в Full HD на моем R5 2600 + RX 580 8Gb, никаких фризов, вылетов, просадок ФПС я не испытываю.

    Теперь о плохом:
    − Тотально убогое и неудобное управление. Настолько, что за несколько часов игры у меня пару раз случился rage quit. Простейший пример: Артур устал, игра подсказывает в нижнем правом углу зажать кнопку Е чтобы отдохнуть. По нажатию Е Артур зачем-то хватает за горло стоящего рядом мужика. Приходится с ним драться, это видят свидетели, прибегает шериф и убивает Артура. Вообще случайно встрять в конфликт в этой игре проще простого. Задеть кого-то на лошади, столкнуться с выезжающим из-за угла дилижансом, задеть плечом прохожего, случайно нажать не ту кнопку (кнопка удара лошади находится по соседству с "погладить").
    − Совершенно издевательская система save/load и случайных миссий. Вы встретили на пути какую-то сцену перестрелки и вас убили? Больше вы ее не увидите и не узнаете какую-нибудь интересную деталь об этом мире. Автосохранения зачем-то срабатывают после смерти. На кой черт бы я захотел снова загрузиться уже ПОСЛЕ того, как провалил случайную миссию?
    − Совершенно убогий UI, заставляющий порой нажимать по несколько кнопок одновременно для выполнения каких-то простейших действий. Чтобы восстановить здоровье едой надо зажать Tab, нажать R, выбрать мышкой нужную еду и отпустить Tab. R* серьезно, вы не смогли придумать ничего лучше?

    Сочетание плохого управления с поломанной системой сохранений является убийственной для игры. Мало того, что вы легко наделаете глупостей с таким управлением, так еще и не сможете загрузиться чтобы это исправить. Игра просто не дает игроку второго шанса. Можно заново начать миссию из меню, но только для ачивки лучшего ее прохождения, на сюжет это уже никак не влияет.    … Expand

    I'm writing this review on 10 November 2019, 5 days after the PC launch, and I am still unable to play a game I paid full price for. Not even the single-player mode. It baffles me how something like this can happen. To make things worse, Rockstar has not issued any apology for this mess.

    My advice to anyone reading this is to give this game a hard miss. Rockstar promised a working game on 5 November 2019 and did not deliver. True, a few lucky ones are able to play without much issues, but ask yourself if you feel lucky (well, do ya, punk?). They are clearly in damage control now, though they might never admit it, and it looks like they have a long way to go to get everyone in the game, and an even longer one for optimised performance.    … Expand

    This generation’s game is one of the best games ever released. I recommend it. It’s a complete failure in terms of optimization. This is a repetition of the situation with GTA4 in 2008, but this should not affect the evaluation of the game itself, RG will fix all the problems.

    El juego es una pasada pero solo puedo moverlo estable a 60 fp en 1440 con una 2080 ti no lo puedo poner a 4k, esta muy mal optimizado y da un montón de problemas al instalarlo. Pienso que el problema es del mal port desde consolas que se ha echo.

    Stay away from this game. It is not playable. I paid a full price and it crashes randomly pretty often like it's a badly cracked one. I have to start the missions all over again hoping there will be no other crash, but often there is. Totally ruined my impression. Very bad QA.

    Great gameplay, tons of opportunities, so far great story, decent graphics and overall atmosphere. What is keeping from top score for me is: clunky and frustrating controls (expected from ported game), sometimes game is not necessarily too slow, like walking is even slower than in real life (my grandpa is walking faster than Arthur!), bad optimization (3700X with RTX2700 and barely 50-60Great gameplay, tons of opportunities, so far great story, decent graphics and overall atmosphere. I grinded way hard in online to try and afford the bounty hunting which is locked behind a paywall or a long grind and its the worst thing ever like no one ever playtested it without auto aim. I don't see how anyone has fun playing RDR2. Im going to have to try out cheating and hacking to see if that makes it fun but it probably won't. The animal spawns in online are laughable so hunting isn't fun and the gun mechanics are clunky so PVP isn't fun. Plus they through in pay to win dead eye cards… Expand

    Bought it, doesnt work, just drops without error (cant send crash report), cant find such symptoms on reddit or somewhere, support doesnt answer. So, it is nothing to rate. What should i do?reinstall drivers, windows, download 110gb again? I dont have time even for entering goddamn rockstar launcher captcha!

    I played this game a year ago and it was the greatest gaming experience of my life. I am playing it again a year later on my PC with much improved graphics and controls and I have to say that my initial feelings about this game have not changed at all. This is the best game I have ever played.     An absorbing tale that will test your machine and tear ducts. A game that did not suffer from being brought to PC. RDR2 is worth overcoming all the shortcomings, since it is one of the best games of the decade. [Issue#300]

    My biggest warning to anyone considering purchasing RDR2 on PC is that you need to have patience when you set it up. Take the time to go through each graphics option, compare your performance on Vulkan vs. DirectX 12, and tailor the game to your specs. Once you have the game tuned, there’s no better way to experience it than on PC.
