    After Playing the First game Back in 2010 , I was curious on how Rockstar Would improve on this Western Game and what additional technology that would be added after a decade. Well i'm pleased to tell you that Rockstar made an immersive world with possibly too much to do and made it it too realistic for most players...im not scared away by realism , i embrace it. Feeding your horse andAfter Playing the First game Back in 2010 , I was curious on how Rockstar Would improve on this Western Game and what additional technology that would be added after a decade. Well i'm pleased to tell you that Rockstar made an immersive world with possibly too much to do and made it it too realistic for most players...im not scared away by realism , i embrace it. Feeding your horse and cleaning it is pretty cool imo. shaving and cleaning yourself is another item that while not really needed to do is an extra side event. jobs at camp might seem boring but its just another area Rockstar added in for immersion. As far as Gameplay ...ive played about 10 hours and got the idea of the gameplay which we are all familiar with ...Go here pick up mission go follow yellow path complete mission and watch ALOT Of cutscenes. This is not a bad thing and when you add in hunting , Fishing, Poker, dominoes and many other things to do in this gorgeous world , one wonders how they will complete it. And now onto the Graphics... I know graphics are not everything but when you grew up in the 80's and are looking at almost photorealism as far as the scenery , one just stops and stares as I did at lakes, valleys and towns that are almost too real to be a video game.
    For the people that give this a 1 or 0 score...Nothing will please them . is this a perfect game? No. there are issues I have such as the Wanted level you get any time you commit a crime there is someone that is a WITNESS That threatens to report you. no matter where you are. this is annoying since your an outlaw.... and thats what outlaws do, anyway to conclude this review ...if you liked RED DEAD REDEMPTION 1 You will enjoy the second one which is actually a prequel ...    … Expand

    Fix after 1,5 weeks fixed all my issues: I finally managed to complete the game and all I have to say is: Wow, the best game I've played by far over the last 10 years. It has everything you want from a western shooter, lively open-world, immersive interactions.

    Played this on the PS4 Pro and I gotta say, the game makes great use of the console hardware. The game looks amazing, the map feels alive with all the animals and the game overall gives off a great Mid-West feeling. The story, although a bit long for my taste presents the player with a great storyline and the relations between the different characters feel realistic.     It seems that the optimization for the PC version of the game isn't ideal yet but I strongly believe that this will change in the next few weeks.

    10/10 will definitely play again when I have the time to do so.    … Expand

    Al juego no le pasa absolutamente nada más allá de pequeños defectos irrelevantes que no afectan en absoluto a la jugabilidad, ni a la calidad visual ni a la experiencia general del juego.

    Para no extenderme demasiado, es el JUEGAZO de la PS4 y de la X1 portado con bastante acierto hacia la plataforma PC, con gráficos aún mejores de los que ya traía originalmente (puedes ajustarlo en función de la calidad del PC con el que juegues, si quieres más calidad, suelta la pasta y cómprate algo mejor como hacemos todos) y con la misma inmersión que te ofrece en la versión de consola. Sólo le falta un modo VR o una campaña cooperativa para convertirse en el juego PERFECTO.

    En cuanto le peguen una pequeña pulida a pequeños glitches que ocurren en contadas escenas y optimicen el modo online, sin duda será (si no lo es ya) el mejor juego de los últimos 10 años.

    Así que por favor, ese 4.3 de media que tiene actualmente el juego dista bastante de la realidad (por no decir que directamente son votaciones troleadas por los mismos de siempre). Sin duda, un juego que debería de estar en la estantería de cualquier tipo de jugador.    … Expand

    Buy this for PS4 or wait for this sh!tshow to be fixed on pc. Great game but 0/10 because for so many players it is unplayable on pc due to crashes, bugs and poor optimization. And Rockstar, we don't want your launcher!

    Отличная игра, купил сначала у рок стара, но потом сделал возврат средств, так как захотел её в своб библиотеку в стиме. Даже карточку обновил для этой игры, графон супер и сюжет интересный.

    I just can't get into the game due to a rockstar game launcher error. I have already updated the drivers on the video card, and updated Windows to the latest version, reinstalled the launcher and turned off antivirus. FIXED.

    Played on Ryzen 3700X and 2070S, using Vulkan API. I didn't have any problems whatsoever regarding crashes or anything else, so I count myself lucky. This is no doubt the most ambitious game ever made. You can see how it is a blend of what Rockstar learned from Red Dead, Max Payne and GTA. I really appreciate the 100 hour work weeks many of the devs put into this game. I hope the pride ofPlayed on Ryzen 3700X and 2070S, using Vulkan API. I didn't have any problems whatsoever regarding crashes or anything else, so I count myself lucky. This is no doubt the most ambitious game ever made. You can see how it is a blend of what Rockstar learned from Red Dead, Max Payne and GTA. I really appreciate the 100 hour work weeks many of the devs put into this game. I hope the pride of achieving this classic outweighs the suffering.

    Too bad the technical difficulties many people have distract from how amazing this game is when it actually works. Definitely glad Rockstar brought it to PC. I won't touch a filthy console ever. The amazing gunplay and Dead Eye with a controller? No thank you. Every game is supposed to be played on PC. But still, they no doubt should bring it again with PS5/Xbox Scarlett launch bundles in 2020.    … Expand

    I was really shocked to see the extremely low user score on here. I'm not compensating for that by scoring this a 10. It seems a lot of people with expensive hardware have had a lot of trouble with performance and crashing. I started playing on the day it released on my stock FX8350 and slightly overclocked GTX970...I have not had the game crash on me yet in 100 hours. The world is gorgeous, huge, and diverse. The characters and story are absolutely epic. The mechanics are intuitive and not overdone. Best $60 I've spent on a video game in years, but maybe I'm just a cowboy that was born 100 years too late? Good on Rockstar for bringing this one to PC, I couldn't be happier with it. I hope they make a part 3.....and release it on PC of course.… Expand

    I love the way this game introduces you to new concepts of the game. It reminds me of the original Mario. It starts of simple. Just progress forward through the map. You encounter an enemy that you need to jump over. Jumping over the enemy causes you to hit a block. You learn that blocks break.     1. Story. Why u give players choice if it does not affect the ending of the game? WARNING spoilers.
    I spent so much time and all game kill legendary animals to create amulets, crafted enemys, developed main person and his horse for what? For stupid death? 1 hour ago i killed 50 men, but now im coughing and cant run away with John. Where is logic?
    Robbed oil fabric for 2k$ while having 43k$, where is logic? we take from bank in Valentine 6k$.....
    2. Too much limits. Like animations that i cant skip, for example cart buyer, When i did it 30 time i want to delete this ... game. with train and stagecoach same things...
    I cant run in camp, houses in story and many other plays and must 5-10 min walk like in ... garden.
    3. Bad system of reputation. Why my reputation go down if npc start to shoot first? or i robbed dead man in forest? Or angry answer man who first bad called me? or killed dog of bounty hunters? i need to wait when she killed me??? no logic...
    4. Autosafe after death.. Who invented it? Who invented 3 quest in a row? i wanted to see other decisions of last quest and spend 2 hours becouse game not supported sfae in this 3 auest in a row.....
    5. In quest i everytime only the first carabin or rifle...why i cant choose weapon that i want? Set it as the main?Knife too, everytime i have only the usual knife and if i set another one, then aftere another quest or smth it will changes to usual knife... With bullets same problem...
    6. why can not I leave about the prosecution as in the GTA if the lawyers do not see me?
    7. How the lawyers know who i am when i robbed smth or smth if i put on a mask?? How did they do this???Is this face recognition in 1899??

    Think its enough, too many questions that will not be answered...This game do not cost the price that they want...at least 3 times less    … Expand

    I still don't know what happened in Blackwater. It sounds like a **** Almost as bad as getting millions of suckers to cough up fifty plus dollars to beta-test a buggy pile of **** that never should have left the stable.

    After a bad, bad, bad beguining with crashes etc. They patched few things and the game works with some crashed. A new updated 1 month after that... annnnddd it's gone... The game crash again and is unplayable. RS are you a joke ?

    Игру нормально не тестировали. Очень низкая производительность даже на хорошем железе. Нормальный компьютер и 60 фпс? Забудьте. Самый отвратительный порт на свете. Брать не советую.

    Cant get the game to work for a few days after the release but when i did i cant put it down. Its the best game of this year so far, the last game that pulled me in this much was The Witcher 3. So boo-hoo for the thechnical issues but the game is amazing and worth to play.

    Absolutely horrible! Bought it for 80 dollars... I own a computer which fulfils the requirements without any issues, but still... the game keeps on crashing. Even after downloading up to 10 GBs of additional official updates... Reinstalling the computer, updating all the drivers etc. I found a solution: I used a tool called Process Lasso to stop the game from being stuck at 100% CPUAbsolutely horrible! Bought it for 80 dollars... I own a computer which fulfils the requirements without any issues, but still... the game keeps on crashing. Even after downloading up to 10 GBs of additional official updates...     Red dead redemption is a masterpiece, the story is compelling and long which makes it a great value for the money payed. Although there are some points of dull missions and a lot of horse riding the game makes up for that in the gripping story.     To put it simply, the game runs best on AMD parts. Keep in mind that both the PS4 & Xbox One use AMD parts, so there might be some connection to that, but if you have an NVIDIA card or Intel processor, then you will most likely have issues playing.

    I'm not giving RDR2 a 10/10, because there are still some graphical issues that I experience, and occasionally a few crashes (very rare though).

    Random up to 5 second freezes and poor performance on a rtx 2060. I find the walking speed a tad slow. From playing it a bit on a ps4 I know its a fantastic game. Will wait for the inevitible patches. Bit dissapointed really.

Здесь нет офигеть какого отыгрыша, но то, что есть реализовано на высшем уровне. Настолько продуманной игры мы еще не видели. Игра явно делалась людьми за 30 и для людей за 25 (как минимум). Если вы не знаете, что такое вестерн, если вы не знаете кто такой Клинт Иствуд, не знаете о гражданской войне в сша. Не покупайте эту игру. Это не гта. Никоим образом не гта. А если вас лагает, купите новый комп. Нет денег на комп, купите сосноль. И не нойте. Задолбали нытики орущие об оптимизации. Пк гейминг никогда не был дешевым.… Expand

It is one of if not the best looking games that has ever been released onto PC in the last few years. Granted, they aren't the worse controls I've used, trust me, i've used much worse, but RDR2 is certainly up there. But besides this games downfalls, it is easily the best game to come to the pc. If the controls get better or the performance improves in the future, I will update my score, but for now this game definitely earns an 8/10.… Expand

    Купил в день релиза на пк, пожалел! 2 дня не мог зайти из за ошибки, куча багов, плохая оптимизация и прочее. Подожду пол года, ибо сейчас нет смысла покупать. Очень плохая оптимизация как для слабых пк так и для сильных.     Сначала 2 дня разбирался с запуском игры, запустил. Думаю, ну, поиграю на высоких-ультра в 60 кадров в FULL HD, должно хватить, но нет, как итог 40-45 fps.     Game was pre-ordered. Today is November 30 and I still can NOT play this game in case of Activation Error. My SC account has not entitled to RDR2. !!! Support absolutely does nothing !!! Almost the whole month I can not run the game. Shame on Rockstar.
    Also I've read about a lot of cases when people bought the game, but didn't get it. Massive losing of money!

    I love this game, but I didn't play it on PS4.
    First time game was bad optimized. Ok gtx 1060 3gb I played on normal settings, but a few days ago, I pressed button "start". I wanted to change graphics, when I opened graphics settings, presets was high-ultra, then I started game and I have 50 fps :D

    Great Story, Great Graphic, Great Features. 150 hr playing so far, few crash at first 10 hr but after that game runs fine with my laptop i7 8750h + GTX 1070 mobile gets 55 - 60 fps on 1080p medium to ultra setting. Bad optimization ? hmmm maybe or maybe you just overestimate your current rig.

    Got the game after nvidia drivers update and some patches release and have absolutely awesome performance on GTX1060 3GB plus Ryzen 5 1600!
    Storyline is very interesting, graphics is great. Rockstar didn't disappointed

Most PC gamers don't realize it BUT Rockstar North has gone to the darkside, to church of EA-Activision and have become that which they parody in their games!!

    The game keeps crashing... "Played" for 10 hours... 2 hours of actual gameplay, 8 hours of restarting, crashing, blue screens, freezing... I honestly regret buying this game for PC. It ruined my memories from PS4 version. DON'T BUY THIS GAME... Not yet... it's a huge mess. The story is Great (opinion based on PS4 version) but the PC version isn't giving any chances to experience it.

This game has easily the best and most detailed sound in any game ever made. Just standing in the woods you can hear all around you these different animals, swaying trees in the wind, distant waterfall and trains. Not only has it perfect ambient sound but the soundtrack is very good aswell and makes many missions unforgettable. Mission structure is played out with basic R* way following orders: go here, stand here, press this button, shoot them etc. but honestly I was not expecting any dramatic change to that, imo it works fine for story driven game. This game has so much content that I could spend 200h in it without ever getting bored. All things concidered well worth 60€ after patches.    … Expand

Stage 2 was set to Ultra Hard mode as I couldn't get past the loading screen at first. Then they surprise you with a huge twist when the game resolution causes you to not be able to play and the addedRockstar has outdone themselves with this game! The download took a few hours. Rockstar's game launcher was very nostalgic with it's primitive feel and outdated and inoperable mechanics. Stage 2 was set to Ultra Hard mode as I couldn't get past the loading screen at first. The end stage took the cake however, getting in touch with their "tech support" who were actually trolls set out to waste your time and cause you stress which was topped off by them telling you that you may be refunded and then never getting back with you and not refunding you. That was the creme de la creme! A masterpiece of poorly designed technology mixed with pathetic customer service. The worst gaming experience ever made in the history of gaming!     Gave this game 0 at launch due to the launcher exited unexpected error. So I got a refund then. Today I bought it back and finally got it running, so I give it 10 cause now with the launch problems aside I could finally feel how amazing this game is.

After fixing my initial issue with virtual memory shortage crashes from the fact that I had mine set low intentionally, the game has run very well for me.

Even if you have a mid-tier computer that meets the recommended build I'd pass on the game for the foreseeable future.     Playing this game since 4th day since its release. Didnt found any bug a it runs at mid-high settings at 55 fps with gtx 1070 without any lags. Most I love on this game is atmosphere of wild west For me this is the best game I played this year.

    I know, maybe it buggy, but comparing to ps4 version it is like playing minecraft with and without shaders/4k texturepack C: Nicely done, best game this decade!

    - abizmal checkpoint system / autosave (often loosing progrss in online due to crushes)
    - UI designed by authistic child - and what's up with holding a button to do stuff fetish... it's not a console... - keyboard and mouse contola are god damn awful - and who the hell come up with idea that when you disconnect or change session everything    - crash to desktop every hour more or less

    Would love to give feedback on this game, but I can't even finish a single mission without it crashing. Happily going to pirate games from Rockstar in the future, because they're obviously happy to take my money and produce and abortion like this.

    1 for great picture, its looks really great.

    Second enemy is cursor in the middle of picture, I turn off my Discord, Nvidia app, everything else exept EGS Launcher, Rockstar Launcher. Change graphics settings, to window and back to fullscrin. After all I've fixed it too.
    But still got some freezes in single player. It's okay, my wooden pc not perfect.
    The last damn thing is 0x20010006 error. Fault on Rockstar game services.
    Some connection problems and there is no chance to fix it in FAQ of Rockstar.
    My connection is fine, I've checked it many times. Pinging google and there is no loses. I am playing in many games where is connection is pretty important thing, but no lags and I wasnt disconnected many years.
    I'm hoping that you'll fix it, guys. I'm begging you.
    In my country salaries is 300-400$, when I'm paying 40$ I'm expecting some good product from AAA-Company.
    Also you asking for 40$ and to unlock half of content I should pay more. I can't collect thing, can't be bounty hunter.
    I GTAV Online I haven't felt myself so poor bastard. In this game many of ways to make money are locked from me.
    I registered on MetaCritic to give my score and my review. So much frustrated.

    I have issues with the game but after a few patches, it is actually good now. It runs smooth at 60 fps on ultra texture settings and high to med overall settings. I have a 1060 6gb, i5 6500, 8gb Ram.

    I'm giving it 8 instead of 10 just because of the technical issues at launch. Not to dismiss the legitimate buyers of this game that still have problems, but following the instructions from the game launcher and doing the driver update it recommends will fix any stuttering issues you're likely to have provided you accept the limitations of your hardware. Also, denying a refund because you tried to tweak the myriad of settings to no avail for too long is just plain wrong.

    That said, those that continue to complain of constant "repairing or patching" are likely pirates at this point or have general PC problems. It's must be challenging trying to download an old update via bittorrent or trying to do anything with a broken computer.    … Expand

    An absorbing tale that will test your machine and tear ducts. A game that did not suffer from being brought to PC. RDR2 is worth overcoming all the shortcomings, since it is one of the best games of the decade. [Issue#300]

    My biggest warning to anyone considering purchasing RDR2 on PC is that you need to have patience when you set it up. Take the time to go through each graphics option, compare your performance on Vulkan vs. DirectX 12, and tailor the game to your specs. Once you have the game tuned, there’s no better way to experience it than on PC.
