    The worst AAA launch in history, 72 hours later and the game is still unplayable. Only got a response on my support ticket as I emailed Sam Houser directly. Brief acknowledgement and now back to radio silence. R* should be ashamed, taken millions of $ from people without delivering a product, this could only happen in the gaming world. It's a disgrace and    Exited 'expectedly'!

    It's a disgrace and having bought most of the R* titles down the years, I will never give them money again. They haven't even publicly acknowledged their failures, they just keep releasing patches that DON'T fix the game.

    I bet their QA/Test Lead is sh1tting himself currently and rightly so. Whilst I appreciate PC releases have a complexity attached on release which differs from consoles but this experience stinks of a team that hasn't tested properly. I've never had this experience with ANY other pre-ordered or purchased game.

    The fact that Gaming Media have effectively buried the issue and CNET releasing some nonsense article stating the 'majority of problems are fixed' - I don't believe it, I suspect R* have reached out as a damage limitation exercise and these **** journalists have agreed so as to not risk getting future pre-releases for review.

    If I could give a minus score I would.

    Finally, their 14 day refund policy is a joke, thieving scumbags.    … Expand

    Великолепная игра. В ней прекрасно все: сюжет, графика, атмосфера. Есть некоторые моменты, такие как: прохождение сквозь снег Артура в одной из кат сцен первой главы; баг в меню, связанный с прокруткой списка настроек графики. Также бывали небольшие проседания фпс после релиза, вылеты рдр2 и ошибки от лаунчера... Но, благодаря последним обновлениям и новым драйверам, все стало намногоВеликолепная игра. В ней прекрасно все: сюжет, графика, атмосфера. Есть некоторые моменты, такие как: прохождение сквозь снег Артура в одной из кат сцен первой главы; баг в меню, связанный с прокруткой списка настроек графики. Сейчас играю на абсолютных ультрах в 30-40 фпс на GTX 1660 Ti, r5 2600, 16 gb ram 3200 MHz, особо проблем не замечаю. Все баги исправят и оптимизируют получше, я надеюсь, но впечатления от игры они не смогли испортить. Конечно, рокстарам стоило бы пересмотреть своё отношение, а так, игра зачет).… Expand

    this game is broken as hell. RDR Online disconnect every 2 min and this mouse cursor is always shown in game, no fix is working for me.

    Sorry but i cant play the game anymore.

Seriously, I waited and waited because the patch will come, the problem will be solved and the game might run and then it run terribly on a PC well above the recommended specs. I'm done.     What an abomination, and I was looking forward to this. Terrible performance, game stutters every few minutes even on low settings and crashes/bugs everywhere. Controls clearly designed and ported from console, no thought made for PC. This is a bad console port. Launcher is a **** also.

    Купить за месяц до релиза эту игру, ждать а по итогу получить ошибку. Я три дня дрочился чтоб ее установить, два раза устанавливал чистую винду, только драйвера и эту ссаную игру. Но хрен я поиграл. Спасибо рокстар

    Отличная игра, очень атмосферная. На счёт оптимизации ничего не скажу но в 1080р на моей 1660 всё отлично идёт на высоких-ультра при 55-70 кадрах. На счёт вылетов не знаю у кого как но у меня за прохождение первых двух глав (5-7 часов игры), не было НИ ОДНОГО вылета или ошибки.Отличная игра, очень атмосферная.     my biggest beef isn't even with poor optimization or bugs. i run rather high-end system and get good 2K60FPS with no crasher. even if it's on medium and not ultras FOR WHATEVER REASON R*.
    the controls are just awful, aim either do not react to mouse movements or jumps all over the place making precision shooting pretty much impossible. moreover good old Arthur moves around any terrain with    my biggest beef isn't even with poor optimization or bugs. i run rather high-end system and get good 2K60FPS with no crasher. even if it's on medium and not ultras FOR WHATEVER REASON R*.
    the controls are just awful, aim either do not react to mouse movements or jumps all over the place making precision shooting pretty much impossible. moreover good old Arthur moves around any terrain with all the grace and agility of a MARK IV tank stuck in flandrian mud. though the game does look stunning even on high/medium settings, underneath all the graphical Innovation game and mission design haven't evolved one bit since San Andreas, drive to a point, do shooty-shooty, watch cutscene. you can't go off the beaten path, you can't get creative with your tactics, you're not a player you're an actor on a set of a tyrant-director and you will follow the script to a letter, mister! not to mention half the time with all the autorides, autoaims, autodialogues and the rest of "helpful" automated systems it feels like the damn game plays itself! no particupation required.
    I can't believe I'm saying this but this game should've stayed on consoles. it's designed and meant to be played like a pure console game: with controller in one hand and a can of beer in a another, moving one stick and pushing one button    … Expand

    ERROR CODE 0x20010006 makes this game unplayable. After waiting for the game and paying top price, it is useless as a multiplayer game. It works ok for solo games, but that is not what I signed up for when I paid full price for the game. STAY AWAY

    This game is great so far. I have no issues with i7 4790k, GTX 1080 and 24GB ram. I thought first that the game not working on ultra is a very big deal for me, but after spending some time tweaking my settings I saw that I can have great graphics with great performance, too. This game is just demanding, this is not about optimization, it has a lot of demanding things like volumetricThis game is great so far. I have no issues with i7 4790k, GTX 1080 and 24GB ram. I thought first that the game not working on ultra is a very big deal for me, but after spending some time tweaking my settings I saw that I can have great graphics with great performance, too. This game is just demanding, this is not about optimization, it has a lot of demanding things like volumetric lightning, fog, clouds, smoke, things that can be seen even at lowest settings (for those who are wondering why is still demanding at low), even more by being a huge open-world with lots of high-res foliage, mountains, water, etc.

    The only difference from the photos is that I went with Vulkan, because I saw that I get a 2-6 FPS increase. Now, with Vulkan and those settings, my game goes minimum at 60 FPS, mostly over, it stays in the range of 60-85 FPS. You should benchmark both APIs and see with each one you get a better performance.

    I can understand those who have problems (game not working or stuttering) and I hope they fix those issues, but I didn't have none.

    The graphics give this game an extraordinary atmosphere (and all those clouds/fog/smoke/weather effects), the horse mechanics are great, it's interesting that you can fall with him and other things like that. Probably is the best looking PC game at the moment. It's very fun just walking around with your horse. You have multiple customization options for you, your horse, you can buy different horses and other things. I love it!    … Expand

    I'm giving it a 0 because the online portion of the game is a joke. Every 5 minutes you get a 0x20010006 error code that has no fix as well as an issue where the fps drops to 2. The support asks you on twitter to make a ticket for assistance yet they don't respond to you. If this wasn't an issue the game would be amazing and I'd have a blast online.

    This game is only for experienced players in this state.
    My hardware have many years (3 - 6) and i play 60 - 90FPS only i spend 3h to find slow down options. Many options i have ultra/high game looking very nice.
    No go to max settings try find good quality and performance settings for you hardware or you loosing fun from this game.

    The ooooold error. I get disconnected randomly, either directly when joining, on the way to a mission, moments before finishing the mission, while hunting. It's just a pain and you have to start over again & again.

    Opening ports did not helped, open NAT-Type with DMZ-Host also changed nothing. We even tried different Routers (7 different ones in price span of 150-350€) - no changes. Even though the support tries to tell me the problem is on my side.

    I had this in GTA5 already and still have it, now in RDR aswell, so i think it's more a R* thing :)

    Charging people the full price for a 1 year old game just ported to pc is disappointing enough already. All the errors i had/have made me refund this piece of "Greed Money making machine"    … Expand

Boi what comes next is beyond human imagination, because instead of gameplay i get like 0.05 fps, 10-minute freezes, and sound stuttering with terrible noizes of old drunkards sitting in hell or something. This is a legit fun game and when im not perma-stuck talking to cripps or dc'ing due to a "rockstar error" then it is really fun and a beautiful game. Those moments are few and far between though. If you are looking to buy this game for the multiplayer wait until they get their **** together because the server disconnecting us as soon as we join the same free roam is not my idea of fun. Garbage servers, I have a ridiculous computer and I can't play because of something I can't fix or help... Rockstar get your **** together    … Expand

    Sorry runs like a dogs dinner have spent hours trying to get it to work properly...its exhausting stuff.
    To add insult to injury my steam copy of gta5 is also broken since the rockstar launcher started hijacking it (15fps). Feel robbed but will change my score if they can fix it :(

На следующий день, пришел патч 1ого дня и стало периодически вылетать. Мне помогло удаление папок в Моих документах. Не могу понять, как у людей с лучшими характеристиками ПК такие проблемы.     So yeah, i just asked a refund because my RTX 2070 was having trouble to run this upper crap unoptimized game. I wasted almost 2 hours just tweaking, and tweaking and tweaking to get at least a stable 60FPs experience and guess what, none of these worked

    That's what i call a straight **** console port. Stay away from this POS

    Постоянно вылетает на рабочий стол с ошибкой.Никакие манипуляции не помогают.До патча и то реже вылетала.Просто позор для такой известной студии.Система I5-9600k,RTX 2070 super,16 gb ram.

    Currently unplayable due to issues with the games software. Game freezes constantly for about 30 seconds, this happens every minute or two. Rockstar offers no solution to these problems. Unacceptable for a AAA release that costs 60 dollars.

    Beautiful game!
    Surely the best graphics on the market. With my rx 580 and the r5 1600 oc I can play it at 1440p at 30fps, with some medium and mostly high/ultra details.

    The game is really in bad shape. I do not have stuttering and have seen that mostly Intel with four core processors have that problem. I am happy I have Ryzen then. In any case, it crashes quite often so I have to repeat the missions several times. That is bad, I was not expecting such a bad state of the game.

    Superb!!!!
    My very first pre-order game ever and its satisfying on every level. I play it on my low end computer yet it still run smoothly. There some bugs and lags but it hardly noticeable. worth muh MUNEH, BOAH!!!!

    Please fix this beautiful game.. it's fully broken and unplayable.. fps spikes like crazy and lots of stuttering.. even the recommended gtx 1060 6g cannot keep solid 60fps on low-medium graphics settt on 1080p resolution

    After troubleshooting and disabling antivirus (seriously? a AAA studio is telling me to disable antivirus to play their game??), the game will launch but is unplayable due to constant freezing (not a graphics performance issue, as framerate is stable apart from these 'hitches').
    Rockstar offers ZERO communication and will not respond to emails.    Game did not launch when first released.

    Amazing game, great story, great everything but terrible PC launch, i pre-ordered i was so hyped and for the first two hours i was trying to fix a freezing issue i have a GTX 1060 6GB and i get 78FPS on high graphics and the game still freezes every 15 minutes or so for around 7 seconds.     Didnt complain about the vomitive ports we received 11 years ago with GTA IV and Bully on Steam, nor with the awful L.A. Noire 30 FPS cap, even I tolerated that GTA V was launched 1,3 years after the next gen and we didnt received nothing but in-game premium currency and non-single-player content, but this is a real FCKING shame and Rockstar owes the PC Community a million apologizes. A million.

    Not only we do have to wait one more year to see our GOTY wishlist games to be launched to our devoted platform, but we also have to be content with a shady developer whose prime directives consists on signing exclusive contracts to see them endorsed to the console platforms for 1 full year and abusing their 2 latest releases (excellent on single-player content) to see them only focused on their dull online attributes.

    My setup consists on a pretty decent 1660Ti, plus a bit outdated i5 7400 plus 16 GB of RAM. The joke about this? The most sterile scene in the game, and the first, some snowy planes, brings death to my FPS. 40 frames per second on Low-Mid settings? Impossible...

    If you wish to see this game bloom and get to a healthy state of performance, keep post abismal reviews and Twitter, so maybe R* becomes fully aware of this tremendoulsy terrible issue and they finally update the game with a quality-of-life patch, not like the futile placebo composed by 5 minor fixes thay they made 48 hours ago.    … Expand

    It is impossible to play, the game constantly slows down even at the lowest graphics settings. The processor is 100% loaded with the game. I5-6600 processor, graphics card GTX-1060 6GB.Rockstar has no conscience.

    The game just doesn't start. Constant unexpected errors. Rockstar's Support article provides general solutions for disabling antiviruses and updating drivers, but none of them have any meaning.
    Nothing helps.

    The game was not yet ready for release on a PC. Shame.

    The story mode in this is absolutely phenomenal and without flaw, but the online is very lackluster and is quite empty. The map is so so expansive but has no content to entertain the play.

    UI is utter **** half the time it wont even detect mouse input, controls werent optimized for kb at all. Why the **** do I have to hold keys instead of pressing? We have a 100 keys, we dont need this bs. If I open my inventory I cant navigate items with the mouse, if I click on smthg it gets used, so the only way to see what that item does is to use the arrow keys...

    The absolute worst part is that they didnt change the console mechanics that only exist cause ppl cant aim for **** with controllers. Should have gotten rid of the deadeye and cover systems entirely, lets hope someone can mod them away.

    First person is playable, but feels weird in some situations, thankfully you can auto disable it for horse riding/driving etc, but there should be no need for it in the first place.

    I had no crashes or laucnh issues, but I guess thats just luck. Dx 12 is very glitchy and unplayable on my system tough.

    The game itself seems pretty. But the online gameplay is awful, there is just random stuff going on, and if you're doing your job fine, something randomly goes out of control like:

    People exit from lobbies, your horse just leaves you or simply dies. This is not a hard game, it's just frustrating af.

    Aannnd i can't make a refund, which is also painful.

    The actual game itself is amazing. The performance will hurt your feelings though.
    I have an EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3 overclocked to 2050Mhz and an 8700K at 5.0GHz with 16GB of 4133MHz TridentZ RGB and I have to run 1440P at Medium/High to get 60 frames per second.

    My biggest warning to anyone considering purchasing RDR2 on PC is that you need to have patience when you set it up. Take the time to go through each graphics option, compare your performance on Vulkan vs. DirectX 12, and tailor the game to your specs. Once you have the game tuned, there’s no better way to experience it than on PC.
