Aug 30, 2017Last Day of June is a narrative puzzle game that makes full use of a wide range of powerful emotive devices to make its point. Its fairly straightforward puzzles won't keep you up, scratching your noggin at night, but the effect of its wonderful characters and the love they have for one another will leave you feeling like you belong to something bigger than yourself.

Aug 29, 2017Thanks to a good concept and trough the breathtaking music composed by Steven Wilson, Last Day of June tells an original and touching story.

Sep 14, 2017Last Day of June is an emotional roller coaster that explores the themes of love and loss in interesting ways. Its simple story is an effective showcase for the diverse and charming cast. Its puzzles serve as fun palate cleansers that, despite their easiness, guide the narrative from start to finish. The stingy auto-save might have caused me some grief and an hour of lost progress, but that shouldn't deter fans of the genre from giving it a try. Be sure to keep an eye out for that pencil-and-paper symbol!

Aug 29, 2017Last Day of June is an intimate and moving adventure, yet elegant and sophisticated. Albeit a linear structure and some minor gameplay flaws, it's a game that tells an extremely human story, with some unexpected surprises, and where the gameplay drives the narrative. A shining example of how videogames can be an authentic expression of emotions.

Aug 30, 2017Last Day of June is a bittersweet, pastel colored shot of a story about loss, grief and dedicated love. A successful mix of Ovosonic's artistic vision and Steven Wilson's haunting, melancholic tunes. As such, it provides a storytelling-based experience, with a nice touch of time-tweaking mechanics.

Nov 20, 2017As a game it’s fairly simple and repetitive, but if the idea of a well-crafted, emotional story gives you shivers, Last Day of June is an interactive experience you need to play.

Oct 3, 2017"What could I do to save a loved one?" For such a question it is usually late in real life, but the Last Day of June adventure can answer it. The game will amaze you by its unusual theme and emotions so you will forgive its few issues.
-
Sep 14, 2017Strangely enough, the game manages to convey a wealth of emotions through its wordless narrative and faceless cast. After the credits rolled, I couldn’t help but think about how far we would personally go to save someone who was important in our life. With its simplistic puzzles, captivating narrative, and amazing art style, Last Day of June is definitely a game you’d want to pick up.

Sep 4, 2017Last Day of June presents a pretty depressing love story in a charming and visually amazing package. While it certainly isn't for everyone, those with a fondness for narrative focused games best enjoyed in on sitting will find an enjoyable, if terribly sad experience.

Aug 29, 2017Last Day of June is a great emotional adventure from Ovosonico, with some flaws in its puzzles sections. Not a masterpiece, but a game that is certainly worth playing.
-
Sep 6, 2017There is a deep sense of melancholy in Last Day of June, created through narrative tension and player resignation to seeing the same cutscene for the fifth time. Its solid story and dreamy visuals are the game’s saving graces in the end, through the repetition kept me from being completely drawn into its magic — a tragedy unto itself.
-
Aug 31, 2017Last Day of June emphasizes emotional, visual, and aural beauty and excels in all three departments to the detriment of its gameplay loop.
