It's impossible to experience the greatest moments of GTFO without a group of friends, but the launch version of the game makes it worth the effort. 10 Chambers has developed a content-packed co-op shooter where it's exhilarating to succeed - and, crucially, it can even be fun to fail. There's just enough horror and action to satisfy a wide variety of players, but finding those players and gathering them on a regular basis can be a hassle. Still, anyone willing to do so will see that GTFO has a huge chance for success in the long term, especially if the developers continue to crank out more highly refined nightmares.

Despite its difficulty, or perhaps because of it, it pushes all the right buttons for an epic cooperative experience. So if you've got a bunch of friends up for regular trips to the underground, the atmosphere will instantly and definitively absorb you. [Issue#317]

GTFO is hard, mean, and exacting in its demands – but there are few co-op shooters that scratch the same itch.

No one would be surprised if GTFO was found to have been developed by the Devil himself. Punishing, frustrating and brutal, I can't recommend GTFO to everyone but if you like tough co-op shooters and you have three friends as crazy as you are then you'll fall madly in love with it.

This may not be the best choice for a player without an existing co-op team, but if you do have three friends who are willing to learn, and die, together, it's a work of unmissable claustrophobia. GTFO indeed. [Issue#368, p.110]

GTFO is a concentration of love and wickedness, the merciless manifestation of a concept as inflexible as it is created with care and dedication. Although not all the pieces of the 10 Chambers proposal have yet been filed to perfection, the title does not fail to offer its users a cooperative experience full of personality, fiercely hardcore and stimulating in the most infamous sense of the term. It is certainly not a product for all palates, and it is certainly true that the Swedish studio still has some work to do, but already now GTFO is perfectly able to offer lovers of cooperative shooter with high difficulty rate a valuable mix of anxiety and excitement, fueled by an inflexible playful formula but capable of giving large doses of satisfaction.

GTFO is a solid and challenging shooter with great sound and environment design. The terminal is a delight to use, and the optional bulkheads provide a reason to come back. However, the core gameplay loop can get a little repetitive and the different environments and loadouts don’t do enough to combat this.

ThisThis is a remarkable and probably a different game than what you are used to. If you do not like different, then you may not like this. This game is incredibly tough and requires team work at a high level. This is the sort of game that is amazing to play with friends. And if your friends dont play it, then the GTFO discord (which is integrated deeply into the game experience) is a great place to make new friends. Expand

The environment and gameplay is quite pleasing. The only complaint on gameplay I could make is that there seem to be a few bugs that can be game breaking. But these seem to be rare and infact possibly even patched now.

My only TRUE complaint with this game is that it is very overpriced and should cost less. It's around £100 worth of money for a full group.

The game isIm adding on my point only for the other person who gave the game a zero for being so petty after getting former posts removed. The game is amazing its tight corridors and frustrating game play is MEANT to be a challenge. It's supposed to be a tactical simulation where you have lack of ammo, health, and other resources ect. "I would have given it a higher score." Then posting.a zero is just ridiculous. If you don't want to play games that have a challenging coop experience that costs money then go play fall guys. Though the game play can get a little repetitive it is still a very enjoyable experience at its price point. In closing I think the game is great and can't wait for further updates. Expand
