This is a weak attempt at introducing multiplayer. A lot of technical issues and not that much enjoyable content.

Look up TES3MP to see how Bethesda game with real multiplayer looks like.

This game is unfortunately going to become another source of youtube news, fanbois giving it 10s and metabombers giving it 0s without even bothering to explain the reasoning, at least say "this isn't the fallout experience you was looking for sadly". Looks like Fallout, feels like fallout...but isn't fallout if that makes any sense? Its like fallout meets rust meets pubg? If that makes any sense?

So let me explain a few things, Bethesda constantly lied about certain aspects of this game, this is more PVP than PVE and with a high percentage for griefing, you think the current systems to prevent it is going to stop it? Nahh~ you're going to be shot in the back and every turn, built up a nice base...along comes some jerk with nuclear codes and nukes it.

If you like PvP and the fallout series then this could be the greatest game for you or the worst experience you've ever had, there are some very dramatic debuffs for 'unconsented' PvP...aka PKing, If you're a strictly PVE player then just don't bother because you'll almost guaranteed to end up with 12 year olds shooting at you or others trying to wreck your PVE experience, not to mention I wonder how long it will take before hackers show up as well which will make the game even more terrible.

This should have been either a 100% PvP game or a 100% PVE game, then perhaps it might have faired better with the public opinion. Lastly, I come to the paid mods situation - listen Bethesda I'm okay with you making buggy or incomplete games, I'm not okay with paid mods and will always give a negative review based on this fact- Creation club will be implemented at a later date and that is something I'm not okay with, but seeing you guys are steadfast into turning the mod scene into another method to generate Microtransactions.

This game is a slap in the face to all Fallout fans. I know Bethesda is no stranger to glitches and bugs, But this is too much for a AAA title in 2018, Nothing has seemed to improve from the BETA. The Gameplay and Graphics are nothing to write home about either, In the right lighting and angle the game looks pretty, But most of the time it's a mess of god rays and blur, To make matters worse, My frame rate was almost never stable. To put it bluntly, This is probably the worst game release i have seen in years

I just hope Bethesda can learn from their mistakes.

If there ever was a game deserving of the score 0 then it would be this one. There is absolutely nothing redeeming about this game, at this point I'm scourging my mind for anything that would be even remotely good about it and the only thing I can think of would be the enjoyment you get from playing with friends but this goes more to the credit of said friends and interaction with others online than having anything to do with the game itself.

It uses the same engine as the previous game Fallout 4 which was quite dated at it's time of release dating all the way back to Morrowind and having received the last major update during Skyrim in 2011. To make matters worse it is largely using the same assets from Fallout 4 too that includes guns, armor, textures, objects and much much more. Making it overall feel like some sort of DLC for Fallout 4. But it isn't, it is a full fledged "AAA release" at a price of $59.99 or your regional equivalent. Making it pretty much unacceptable to be in such state.

By that I mean the sheer amount of bugs we saw during very late "beta" which in truth is a lot closer to a demo of the final release as I was able to see. Some off these bugs are classical glitches that occur with use of such outdated engines, but others are a lot more serious like security flaws which allow client side access to sensitive data like IP addresses of other people, and game manipulation trough unencrypted commands sent to the server. This is worsened by the fact that the game lacks any sort of anti-cheat.

Another, rather ironic bug, was the game deleting itself randomly requiring you to re-download more than 50 GB of data, only to find out that it's also impossible to manually uninstall the game without purchasing it after the beta ran out.

The final product doesn't look any better though featuring outdated graphics, horrible performance on PC and especially on console. And severe lack of content, meaning no NPC quest givers, or any NPCs whatsoever, with most of the quests being fueled by holo-tapes and being rather simplistic fetch quests. Downgraded character development, even more downgraded than in Fallout 4, with most of the
"leveling" happening trough opening "perk packs" which give you a set of randomized perks, possibly a gateway for micro-transactions or even Pay2Win mechanics in the future. Mostly the same "building mechanics" we saw in Fallout 4, with the same inherent flaws that could only be fixed by mods, mostly clipping, and objects having no sense of gravity. And very dull, repetitive enemies, which re-spawn quickly, sometimes even right after being killed.

The PVP experience is also very lackluster, having some "fair play" system in place that makes players take significantly less damage until they shoot back, making it pointless to even engage in PVP as everyone can out-heal the damage done to them. Or should they decide to fight back they can do so with a big warning and call to prepare, which makes anything outside co-op a non option.

    Definitely not recommended

Yet again Bethesda proves they are incapable of making a decent Fallout game. Whichever way you look at it, now more than ever developers are truly beginning to learn that they cannot get away with egregious business practices at a players detriment.

Bethesda has put out the worst experience I've received from a powerhouse developer in my 27 years & it has completely divided players as some seem desperate to cling to a franchise that was one of the last bastions of an RPG experience & some seem intent on maiming the game for their own profit.

Wherever you fall on the narrative driven gameplay of this new iteration of Fallout, this game is not well constructed, this game is not running on an well aged engine & the game ships without any sort of identity for what it is meant to be.

To take a singleplayer experience, and force multiplayer for any semblance of entertainment rings to me as an over reach from an egotistic developer who think they can do no wrong & thankfully the backlash from this horrendous game has been loud enough that it should be resoundingly clear that these shoddy attempts at doing something 'new' will not be tolerated.

If you took away the Fallout name, no-one would defend this. It is a miserable Rust clone, missing all of the good elements of Rust with a Fallout aesthetic and would be unsurprising to find games of better caliber on Steam Greenlight.

I won't blindly accept games from any developer on the basis of their previous iterations any further, I'm too heartbroken and too savvy now.

You will have to win me, every single time.

Basically Stolen Coop mod for Fallout4.
60$ game that uses 80% assets, textures and animations from the previous game, works on a 19(!!!!) years old engine and has a joke of an anticheat.
Braindead story with literally NO npc-s. Survival is boring and simple. Lore and history, written by far more tallented people, once again trashed with "clever" ideas of a junior janitor assistant.

Fallout diverso dagli altri,ho sempre sperato in un fallout online ma questo gioco è un abominio.
Continui drop di frame rate, mondo vuoto e storia noiosissima fatta solo di holotape da ascoltare.

Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle. Tries to facilitate the needs of both online multiplayer fans and single player fallout fans, and both portions of the experience suffer for it. An entirely PVP game or an entirely co-op game would have worked better, this just feels like an uninspired vessel for their amusingly well fleshed out microtransaction shop.

Fallout 76 represents a big disappointment and the lowest point of the series so far. Riddled with bugs, repetitive and dull gameplay, nonexistent story and outdated graphics, it fails as a both multiplayer and singleplayer experience for fans and newcomers alike.

Miracles do happen once in a while and No Man’s Sky proved that sometimes it is possible to get back on your feet even after a terrible failure. Right now though Fallout 76 is botched spectacularly on so many levels that even talking about this game is a waste of time. [01/2019, p.46]

An unfinished game with bifurcated identity and in an almost dysfunctional state. It's hard to build on a bad base, that will never change. Like the war. [Issue#292]
