    I always liked Fallout. Fallout 4 was a downfall. This made it worse, by far. The story is a bad joke, the quest system is repetitive as hell - imagine EA and Ubisoft getting a baby.

    Fallout 76 is just an awful game that is unquestionably still in a beta state.

    Looks like Fallout 4, while leaving behind any enjoyable aspect of that previous game. They simply took all the unneeded play functionality that was new; settlement building, enhanced crafting, the butchered skill system, garbage dialogue and no choices affecting the world and your character and they rammed    Fallout 76 is just an awful game that is unquestionably still in a beta state.

They simply took all the unneeded play functionality that was new; settlement building, enhanced crafting, the butchered skill system, garbage dialogue and no choices affecting the world and your character and they rammed them all down your throat taking advantage of brand loyalty and previous fans delivering a D- game experience fora AAA price point. I will of course state that Fallout 4 was by far the worst fallout game since BoS, so take this all in stride. They somehow made the worst fallout game look good. They have no idea what made these games good in the first place and I hope that they clean house of all the goons over there who are running the show. Todd Howard is tool who is driving the Bethesda ship into the ground while lying and taking all the money they can.    … Expand

    This is an overwhelming disappointment. I knew what it was as well. I played all the fallout games, and I've played MMOs. It does none of the things either genre does well, and doesn't even manage to have enticing microtransactions. This is an astonishing dumpster fire of a game from a great studio. What a pity.

    Pre purchased this piece of crap and paid 80$. Was half price withing a month.

    Game is unplayable, broken, unpatchable (would need a whole new game to fix this one), and unenjoyable.

    I would not even play if the game was free.

    I really love the Fallout series since it classics, but what they delivered here is a no go. They should have had finished the game before releasing and i´m thankfull i just payed half the price on black friday.

    Perhaps there are things in this game that don't deserve that score, but when I consider all in all that's the score it gets.

    At first I felt excited to get out and see what Bethesda had made, to explore, build and do quest. But rather quickly the game over all felt empty and dull. Everything I had hoped for was missing and was instead replaced with thins I had hoped would not be there.
    This game contains so many badly developed thins on so many levels its hard to get any enjoyment out of it at all. Thins from how the melee systems hit-box is from a bad 1998 game, to the terrible sound location system were it will sound like all the enemies in a dungeon are kicking you in the ear at once, from every direction. Not to mention how demanding this game will be for your system. I run it on a GTX 1080 ti and i still experience ridiculous frame drops in certain areas.
    You will spend most of the time being frustrated over game breaking bugs and unstable servers.
    All these thins I could accept, from a small INDIGAME-studio perhaps, but not from this multi billion company that is Bethesda. The game should be called a early-access game, and the price players had to pay to play this game is absurd.

    To summarise, this game is all in all just a big disappointment for fallout fans. They brought with them all bad thins from fallout 4 and added a few more game breakers on top of the already huge pile of dirt that this game contains.    … Expand

    It contains numerous bugs and glitches that Bethesda themselves could not be bothered to fix in the BETA/full release of the game.
    To add salt into consumer's open wound, they do not allow us to refund this game because they would know that they would lose pretty much all the money because of the backlash of this game. Bethesda does not listen to    This game is an absolute failure.

    I had a bad feeling about this game before it's annouce. It started since Fallout 4 gameplay trailer with salvage-craft-build-sims gameplay. But if in Fallout 4 it was great alongside activity for creative players (like myself), this game has NOTHING interesting in this activity. Building and crafting systems are just bugged, needless and degrated compared to Fallout 4. I played this gameI had a bad feeling about this game before it's annouce.     1/5/2019 The game disconnected at least a half dozen times or more, Shooting at targets have no effect. My camp disappeared, I had to rebuild again at my cost. This happened over a month ago.
    I e-mailed Bethesda, still have not got a response. It pains me to write this review. my son and I have played Bethesda games since Arena This is the worst game I ever tried to play. The game is unplayable.

    quite honestly the worst fallout ever played. its entirely dominated by a few players who do nothing but play/glitch to reach high levels and farm explosive weapons. if you try to ever use the workshop system be prepared for players who will come and destroy everything and rob you of caps simultaneously.

    This game is not finished. They have not implemented any gameplay features beyond killing scorched, ghouls, rats, or super mutants that each have a different number above their head. The only difference in enemies is their level. You can't use certain tire irons or baseball bats until you've grinded the game for enough weeks to surpass level 50

If you have just built something and taken this base directly loses and then puke that costs only time and resources. You can only stock up to 600 objects. That makes it impossible to do things properly because you never have enough space. Not in the low level range.     1) I wasn't able to purchase the standard edition (the payment wouldn't go through for some reason), so I had to buy the deluxe version (what a strange "coincidence", right?)

It probably happened the same thing to the story than to the NPCs: Nothing because it will be to long to implement it and they needed to focus on the ''Holy Release Date''. I bet that the true creators of the Fallout universe are probably mad because someone dnt give them the time they needed to complete the work properly. Endgame is even more boring and grindy. Often no loot because of bugs, at is summum when happens with the endboss! The brightness of the game is aggressive for the eyes and no setting to adjust it... No more special points after level 50 so for the last difficulty gap you need 2 shots weapon not to die in endless grindy shooting of bulletsponges ennemies. And you know what? Facing the lack of centent, they had the idea to nurf the only weapons type that get the job done. So instead of adding content, they found a way to make the content that we already have longer and annoying. There should be a Law to force games studios to do the job properly because they cant alone its a scandal. I preordered the game because i had faith in Bethesda. The lesson is that a release date is more important than the quality of a product! Bethesda dont give a .... that we paid full price to play a unfinished product with a highly degradated experience! Huge Betrayal of the fanbase! Dont buy this, they really dont deserve your money! Shame on you Bethesda! My trust was misplaced, now i know!… Expand

But having reached the endgame within a week and finding nothing more to do side from try to find legendary Items while Dupers are selling them on E-bay and other sites is beyond frustrating. Bethesda could do so much better, but sadly I don't think they care about their fans. Only the almighty dollar. The game is a broken messIf this was November 15th I would have given a 4 or maybe a 5.     No NPC and a sorry excuse for a story. Originally false advertisement for the collectors edition, only when possible lawsuits came up could the company be bothered to fix this or rather promise to make up for it with producing canvas bags - as advertised.

    Sadly there are many more things that could be said, but wrting up to this point is already quite bad for my blood pressure. For the interested, you will find many many info all over the internet. Also quite interesting how easy it makes to spot "professional" journalists without any kind of integrity - praising this s*** show to the heavens or at the least willing to excuse the various faults of this game.    … Expand

    Game is very glitchy almost unplayable. Keeps kicking players off servers and if you are involved in a longer mission you must start over. Bethesda did a complete job of screwing up a game that has been top notch for many years. Todd Howard who is in charge of this mess should be fired.

    2019 Stopped playing at lvl 26 because I realised that you can't respec - fun game but don't want to play again 3 days to reach lvl 26. (this is really a no go for me..)
    There are some bugs.. but it wasn't such a big problem.
    Fun game even if you play alone but maybe you should wait another half a year... and select a spec you want to play before (WTF? no way.. wait until they fix the spec problem.. then maybe - play it - or not.    … Expand

    I have played through the beta and reached lvl 50, and it was really fun in the beta - lots of people, a big undiscovered location, so i just visited all locations in green and yellow zones during the beta, and usually there were people ready to tag along, but that has changed a week after release.

And oh boy i tried using voice chat to communicate, if you don't like talking to yourself - not recommended. So, since all the easy zones were completely done and i needed help with the harder ones i went to discord, but discord parties didn't prove to be efficient, cos nobody was committed enough, and parties like this last 30 min to 2 hours, usually doing nothing. So i decided to give it some time, and stopped playing for a month.

    When i have learned that a mod (a mod, carl!) for chat came out, i rushed to check if f76 is now somewhat playable. I ve been logging in for a couple of weeks to try and find someone i can finally team up with to explore those harder zones, but as it turned out, few people play f76, and even fewer use the chat mod, so i tried to do at least something in this game while i am looking for a teammate, and started building my camp anew. There were 2 players in the session, me lvl 50 and some guy lvl 120 or whatever, so while i was building this guy sneaked up on me and rezkilled until i alt+f4, my lvl 30 shotgun did him about 20% damage, and he paralyzed me with a 50% hp shot.

    Anyway. Today i was ready to try it one more time. But my fallout 76 is not launching anymore, and there is literally no help on forums or google. Google only contains posts of hatred and so on.

    And i understand those people, there is no way to leave any kind of feedback about this horrible game to anyone. It's not even on steam!

    People may have different opinions, but DO NOT TRUST ALL THOSE 10 REVIEWS, NOBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD GIVE THIS A 10, EVEN A MASOCHIST PLAYING THEIR FIRST GAME IN VR.    … Expand

    I like TES and Fallout games because they are immersive. Fallout 76 is not immersive because Bethesda can't account for the unrealistic or idiotic actions, appearances, etc of other players. Their names, clothing, manner of movement, etc just don't make sense from a third person perspective. I'd play a Bethesda game if they go back to relying on NPCs, but not any more like this.

    It's not the game they say ... No real pvp, no MMO mechanism (no corp, only 24 player on map) a lot of bugs. Very bad game, 7 day or Empyrion make better for small price. No communications or bad one. Lots of limitations, very boring. I waste my time to save my weigth 2 times by minutes.

I also ordered a PC version of the tricentenial edition because I knew that I could just sell the PS4 version with the DLC to make back some money and have the game for PC like I wanted.     My once beloved company Bethesda finally broke down and released this Micro-transaction cash-grab of a "service". The amount of issues regarding the Power Armor Edition, the thousands of bugs, the old and broken Creation Engine, Oh my god.

    Bethesda used Fallout 76 to get their producers to pay for more studios it seems.

    Just buyed Fallout 76 some days ago, then, the game just dont work here on Brasil, the latency problens are so big here because of the servers position (i guess they are in North America?), so we get 200+ms ping on actions in Brazil as you get 40-50ms in EUA.

Video games are just a hobby. I was failing before F76, but I was actively trying. I was even enjoying my CBT/CRT (Cognitive Behavioral/Remediation Therapy) of playing video games for fun, and working on them to learn how to create video game software.

    F76 was such a blatant disregard for anti-consumer practices that 7 months later I'm struggling to even participate in video games, game design, or game development. This product was a asset flip cash grab scam, rip off, and a poorly made product while doing that. F76 started a garbage fire that burned all the way back to Morrowind, and continues to burn into the future for at least 11 years.

    Im surprised the score isn't lower, did the free trial from E3, the reviews are massively negative but thought I'd give it a try, maybe it's just the internet who decided to be mean on FO76 for no reason, and oh man, they were not kidding, this game is a massive disappointment, calling it boring is an understatement. They were wonderfully immersive games. Even when the gameplay was cluttered by base building and junk hauling in Fallout 4, those base themes/mechanics were still present and very well done... This game is not a game for Fallout fans. It is a game for MMORPG players who want a change of scenery like a Fallout setting. I put in the time to make sure I wasn't missing the point, and the game hasn't been played again since. If you are an MMORPG fan, there are a lot of games that will serve you better than this one.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have been a huge fan of all the games from fallout to skyrim. I have never however paid $60 for a game before. until now. What an absolute rip off. Fallout 76 is awful. Nothing like what has been seen before and to top it off it is but impossible to get your money back. Do Not Get this game if youre doing based on past games. You WILL be disapointed. I could Tell you all the ways that it doesn;t work but i only have 5000 characters to do it. Just take it from some one who was a big fan of this franchise. wait until it sells for $20 so you dont feel like you got completely ripped off like I do. 1 to 5 i give it a 2 only because the graphics are not bad. game play a 1. story line a 2. I always wait until a game drops in price before I buy it, I truely thought after buying all the pervious games this was a win win at $60. Ill never make that mistake again. this game is the rotton apple in the bunch all will forever make me think twice about paying full price for a game. Theyve also added a battle royale to which they will put more emphasis and importance to it, meaning more concetration on that game mode then into the base game itself. The fact that it is in survival 24/7. Where you cant chose to get off of that. Where is they made adventure for mainly pvp. Where they couldve put survival in there or made a complete different game mode for that scenario over all. The toxic community to which they wont even allow you to talk bad on the game or address issues rather will completely insult you. If i could a different fate then having this, id play fortnite with a bunch of 9 year olds and my friends brother who will completely call me a **** and a whore.… Expand

    How about make a decent game that's not full of bugs and keeps crashing for no **** reason. I'm literally wasting my time playing this **** game. How can I even rate this game above 0 when I cant even manage to play it in the first place. The creators of this game should feel ashamed. there's no effort or thought put into the making of this game and its just a cash grab.

    Fallout 76 represents a big disappointment and the lowest point of the series so far. Riddled with bugs, repetitive and dull gameplay, nonexistent story and outdated graphics, it fails as a both multiplayer and singleplayer experience for fans and newcomers alike.

    Miracles do happen once in a while and No Man’s Sky proved that sometimes it is possible to get back on your feet even after a terrible failure. Right now though Fallout 76 is botched spectacularly on so many levels that even talking about this game is a waste of time. [01/2019, p.46]
