Modern games are made for the elite or wealthy. This game is not even on the dual-core processor, I know many people who have been on startup black screen. Because of the new types of protection game lag terribly. A feeling that game developers do not care about users, the main goal is to earn money. I do not advise buying these games. Developers do not care about us, the players.

This game has no redeeming features it is not an RPG it's just an action game with annoying poorly written party members this is the twilight novel of videogames. Poorly written with a bad story.

When I heard about this at first I was on the fence. Finished DA:O and thought it was average. Didn't care for the romance and spent most of my time just wanting to get the game over. This wasn't made for the PC and it shows. Just more of the same. It feels like an adventure game with rpg elements and combat tacked on as an afterthought. But if I don't like the story, or think I've pretty much played it 8 years ago, it all falls apart. DA just isn't my line of games. Don't know what I was expecting.

I think this is a good game. When I first started playing I did so for 6 hours straight and I had to quit because I had to go to bed. It consumed me from the start, great atmosphere, fun mechanics and the fighting feels powerful. The mucis is awesome and the world feels a lot more open than what I thought it would be. A huge step up from DA2.

    - Lipsyncing is also bad

I'd give it a 7.5/10 so far, although each pro and con have 3 things, the cons for the most part can be looked past, the framerate isn't unbearable, i dont really have a problem with there being a lack of story this far in, the only major con is sitting through cutscenes in which the character models open there mouths after there lines half way through.

    4. Looting is clunky and bad. I want to grab stuff quickly and move on.
    5. Graphics is decent, but nothing jaw dropping. Believe it or not, my modded Skyrim looks way better.
    6. Main story - mediocre.
    7. Character development could be better. Some abilities are just not fun. And Id like to see more ranks of improving useful skills.
    8. Poor optimization. Battlefield 3 on same engine flies like a batterfly on my PC. DAI isnt smooth at all.
    9. Many annoying little things that they could easily fix before release but didnt care. Like when you run forward and press M, map appears but imediately scrolls up. Or your character doesnt autoattack in normal mode.
    10. Followers stuck and dont listen commands sometimes.
    11. Enemy patrols respawn constantly which I hate.
    12. Goddamn chests and gold piles put in random places ruin immersion for me. Skyrim did so much better job at treasures placement.
    13. Character creator is bad and doesnt offer variety in characters you can make. There are many sliders but I just couldnt make what I want.
    14. Crafting - I dont know where all those praises come from. THey just made you grind more resources, thats it. Not much real depth here.
    15. Multiplayer - boring grindfest where you forced to grind and grind and grind to even make class you like. Played one match. Never again I touch this garbage.

There are good things too ofc.
Follower characters are pretty cool and Id like to learn more about them. Music is awesome, especially bards. Also big bosses look cool until you realise combat is so **** that you dont want to fight them unless its easy difficulty.

The UI(user interface) for the PC is extremely clunky and slow. To fight in combat you have to hold down the "R" or left mouse button CONSTANTLY, there is no auto attack. Nothing says excitement like holding one button constantly -- right guys!? ...guys?

You can't click on anything, you have to click "TAB" repeatedly to cycle through targets...I have a mouse let me click. It was like the entire game was designed to make everything tedious. You can't click to target anything -- not even enemies, you can't change tactics (like making it so your mages don't kill everyone in the party with friendly fire). It has so many graphical errors it hurts your face.

So in conclusion if you love tedium, HATE good dialogue, love holding down one button 90% of the time and having to spam click TAB like your life depends on it....Dragon Age: Inquisition is definitely for you.

Despite the issues, very much worth playing.

At most, even if the story is 150% better than what I expect (which I can say is also lacking at this point) I would have to rate this no more than a 7. At this point, until finished I would have to leave it at a 5.5

Running on an i7 with a 1-year old graphic card, everything looks great, and I don't have any graphics complaints. I haven't experienced any crashes (yet), but I'd take a point off for very slow loadtimes on nearly every screen. Skyrim and similar games load in about 5-10 seconds on my rig, whereas DAI is taking a minimum of 30 seconds and once took about 3 minutes, to the point I thought the game had crashed.

Camera and controls are a bit wonky, but not as bad as other ports I've played.

The characters were better than I was expecting coming out of DA2.

Will update this up or down as I progress, but wanted to plant a flag that personal experience isn't as buggy/crashy as other reviews are indicating.

The game is not a bad one, but it is not Dragon Age Origins either, which is the standard I expect every Bioware game to live up to.
The game feels somehow unfinished, not optimized and somewhat of a poor console port ( I own the PC version.)
I played for about 10 hours and I can say that the strong points of the game are: 1. The story 2. The graphics 3. Awesome character creator

    Weak or bad stuff:

    1. Clunky controls
    2. Bad console UI, too big, not scalable
    3. Very bad tactical camera,
    4. No Auto Attack - No auto loot. You have to go to a specific place just to attack or loot (so annoying).
    5. No action queue.
    6. The camera overall feels weird and poorly executed.
    7. Bad companion AI and the control of AI tactics is very much dumbed down.

Bugs it has a few nothing game breaking but you can get some random glitches, crashes , black screen.

Controls here is when you notice the quality of a bad port awful keyboard and M response, if you dont have a controller i hope you at least have a lot of patience because is bad.

Overall nothing to be proud of, nothing memorable either just another overhyped meh game that can be fun for a while. btw i played it on a i5 4670k, 16 gb ram, R9 295x2.

The open worlds are massive. Some are smaller than others, but the first real place you go to is actually quite huge.
Anyone commenting on the story you should take with a grain of salt. Most professional reviews I saw said the game takes at least 80/90 hours to complete and that's with not having done everything... so that means people wrote a review based on a few hours of gameplay.
I myself am currently only 3 hours into the game and just BARELY started your first actual Inquisition mission.
I honestly believe the red reviews are Bioware and EA haters. The only thing I will say that is somewhat true is the game has the occasional stutter in a cutscene. But that was mentioned in professional reviews and if you are going to let that get in the way of your game... you have problems.

Bioware has, so far anyone, made an incredible game that is VERY fun. I would say the 8.5 to 9.5 average reviews are accurate. Great job Bioware.

The return to Thedas as the Inquisitor is spectacular! With an engrossing story and environment which seamlessly fits with the action packed gameplay, you once again think like a general and fight like a spartan. Again Bioware delivers a deep and complicated cast who truly become more actual friends than mere characters in a story. A prime example of this is the enigmatic Iron Bull voiced by acting virtuoso Freddie Prinze Jr, who reunites with Bioware after voicing Mass Effect 3's breakout star James Vega.

Dragon Age 3 must be played to be truly believed. It is sad to see so many homophoibic trolls downrating this brilliant game. Don't be dissuaded by their hate and negativity, this is one purchase you won't regret!

You're not stuck in one specific city with day and night cycles, the game opens up very well and invites you to explore (Though you will need a couple of hours to get to that point). Characters and story are also strongly improved so far (i haven't finished it yet).

It has a few bugs there and there but nothing game breaking and they are very far few in between.

So far my only real complaint is the combat system. It's not that it's badly done, but it's unoriginal and not that exciting. I guess we can blame consoles for this one as Origins didn't work well on them because tatical games don't work well on console plateforms, so they chose to make this button mashing slam fest to appeal to the console audiance.

It's a shame, because the combat system in origin was really special. This one is just boring and generic.

Note : Don't pay attention to the meta score, many Zeros are from trolls who haven't really played the game or idiots who expected Skyrim.

This game is not playable at this moment on the PC, the frame rates are very inconsistent and there are large amount of stuttering. I was running this game on GTX 780, I was getting 20-40 frames playing this game on medium setting which is just unacceptable, I was extremely impatient and went and bought a 980, frame rates are slightly better but cinematic locks the FPS at extremely low level (30) which a ton of stuttering occurs on both the 780 and the 980... I worked around the game to get the frames to 60 Frames during cut scenes but there is no work around for the stuttering and extremely unsatisfying framerates playing this game.

The game is extremely clunky, the combat has took a giant step backwards. You have to mass click if you want to auto attack because on console that's normal for them, but they forced it on PC users which makes no sense and restrict what you can do in game. It hurts my wrist just playing this game. If you're playing a warrior and you knock someone back and you're holding down attack button because your hand hurt, too bad now they're out of range and you're waiting out a long period of pointless animations. If you're playing a range class, have fun spamming click button like you're playing minesweeper or something

No longer can you click and move because that doesn't exist on consoles. If you click anywhere your character does their attack animation which is very long so you're sitting there wasting time. No longer can you click on loot to pick them up because that doesn't exist on consoles so you're forced to run up to them and click open button which is so daft as to why they decided this should be forced on PC players. (Btw if you miss click you're attacking and waiting out the animation again). Used to holding down mouse button to change your camera angle? Too bad watch this attack animation for couple seconds. Can't see the rift because it's bloody in the sky and you want to change your camera angle? Watch this cool attack animation.

Oh, the AI is stupid, have fun issuing the same command for your party over and over and over again because they have some kind of short term memory problem and refuse to do what's ordered. Telling your ranged character to get out of melee range they will run back into melee range because of unknown reasons. Revive teammates? Haha I rather auto attack! Thanks computer.

The menu is unsorted mess, have no clue what is going on there. It's DA:O style with fair amount of items, but unable to sort though as it uses a weird DA:2 menu.

Extremely disappointed on how this turned out, it was a fear I always had when Dragon Age 2 came out. It was still good and improved on some parts but you can see it was departing from what made Dragon Age great. I thought I can patch everything with technology, bought new video card, bought a new mouse, bought a controller (Game doesn't recognize controllers on PC for some reason). Severity disappointed.

In my opinion, this is the best RPG in the modern gaming world. Excellent work, Bioware. Under the glorious enlightenment and guidance from EA, a game publisher with precise long-term vision in future game development, Bioware finally manages to make a RPG suitable for everyone, but not just a game accessible only to a minority of hardcore RPG players.

DA: Origins is an old-school and medicore game only appealing to a tiny market niche. DA II breaks the medicority, and introduces the popular mass effect decision tree and button-mashing mechanics, which attracts tons of Call Of Duty (COD) and action gamers around the world, contributing to its great success. However, it still suffers from a linear and small game world, and repetitive dungeons.

DA: Inquisition evolves from its predecessors by combining the best elements of 2 popular RPGs in modern era. It adopts the sandbox open world, lightweight RPG perspective and enormous fetch quest system from the highly praised Elder Scroll Skyrim, as well as the popular decision tree mechanism and the combat elements from another Bioware's master piece, Mass Effects 3.

By having a cohesive reasonance of 2 best elements from 2 outstanding RPGs, and adding tons of creative elements, this game simply becomes one larger than the sum of all parts. You have a large world to explore, tons of item collection and FedEx quests to play with, and the best button mashing mechanics to finish off your opponents. Skyrim and this game is great because they both remove the annoying character stat building mechanism. Stat is now only granted from equipment, how amazing and creative, isn't it? In addition, this game adopts the perfect RPG gaming style of Skyrim, i.e. explore first, just forget the plot, which removes player's frustration to recall memory about the main quest and story line. This is just like a great and sincere invitation to all COD fans and action gamers, as well as any potential causal gamers. It caters for the taste of all gamers around the world via greatly enhancing its accessibility. It is a master of everything rather than a jerk of all trade. This is a game for everyone!

You may worry about that the return of the old-school tactical view from the mediocre DA:Origins may ruin your fantastic game play experience. Don't worry about that, it is just implemented for those hardcore players for their happiness in pausing the game all the time, breaking the pace of combat. This game can be handled easily by controlling your own character only under an action game style. The tactics setting of companion is simplified to an user friendly level for further accessibility. In contrast to DA: Origins, you can’t set up some complicated tactics for your companions, but this is unnecessary anyway. Friendly fire is disabled by default, so just forget your companions, and let them either fight or fall. You can handle fights easily by charging upfront and having high reflex in right timing of attack, dodge and button mashing. You can enjoy a fluid flow of combat all the time!

Overall, by removing the complexity and annoyance from old-school RPG, adding the best elements from 2 most famous modern RPGs, and introducing an exciting button mashing combat mechanics to the game, this game has reached the highest height of RPGs that none in the world could ever reach. This is a milestone of RPG development, and should be referred to in future development of RPGs. Today is an important day that marks the beginning of revolution in RPG history! A new era of RPG has come! From now on, we can step forwards and forget about all classic RPGs in the old-school days. Everyone, express your praise and gratitude towards our beloved developers, and join us to have fun in this master piece of art now!

In case if there are expansions or sequels for this gift from god, which are highly probable considering how successful this game is, we really hope that first-person shooting mode, QTEs and the mechanism of climbing tower to reveal map can be implemented. This will further induces passion from every gamers, because these elements are universally regarded by every gamer as the best features that have ever existed in shooter and action games!

By the way, I am looking forwards to see at least 1000 DLCs for this game, because its scope is so huge, and with so much potential to further expand on. Don't keep us waiting, our wallets are ready! We hope that our beloved developers will listen to our suggestion and request, and release the DLCs and expansions ASAP for us. ;)

There is an enormous amount of content and things to do - quests, building camps and claiming new areas, the war table missions, complex crafting system, mounts, little skull things that allow you to discover hidden loot, tons of awesome lore/notes/books everywhere, etc. And don't forget the multiplayer - that in itself is almost like another game.

I've only played about 7 hours so I can't comment much on storytelling, but it seems to be pretty good - not as strong as DA: Origins, but still solid RPG writing.

Having said that, there are some serious issues with the PC controls. It seems like Bioware completely disregarded the PC version in favor of consoles. Some examples: you can't right click to automatically move to loot, interact with, or attack things. This seems like such a simple thing but it is really annoying.

You also can't auto attack unless you're in tactical mode. Tactical mode itself has a lot of problems. For one, the zoom is really weird and it is very difficult to get an overview of the battle. When I was doing the first boss (Pride Demon), I had to switch to normal view just to click on the Rift. Also, being forced to use WASD instead of mouse scroll to look in tactical view is very awkward and clunky. Also, there's no key to select all party members at once.

Another really strange thing is no ability tooltips on your action bar - if you want to know what a skill does during a fight, you have to open your skill menu and read it there.

Finally,, the tactics/behaviour system has been completely simplified to the point where you don't really have to choose anything anymore. You just leave everything "enabled" and change some values, there's no more deep/fun tactics like in previous games.

There are also some pathing issues, especially when using tactical mode. I had my entire party stuck in a corner in a cave and I couldn't get them out, as well as issues with a simple "move and attack" order where my character was getting stuck behind other party members.

Overall I'm still enjoying the game, but I expected better from Bioware.

Despite numerous shortcomings, the new BioWare project is undoubtedly worth your attention. One of the best RPGs of 2014.
