    Tons of fun, visually awesome, banger soundtrack. All the weapons feel great, all the enemies are designed well. Don't really have anything negative to say but there isn't anything amazing that would push me to give it higher than an 8.

    Doom Eternal is a bestseller, I think the game needs no introduction.
    Everything is at the highest level here: the gameplay, optimization, graphics is quite good, but probably could be better.

    The game openly plays better than DOOM 2016 in every way. The game's feel gains some and loses some over Doom 2016, but from a purely gameplay perspective its just incredible. If you love shooters, you love this. Nuf said.

    Just came back after last May when they did the stupid Denuvo Anti-cheat update. This is a good game and I recommend you play it.

    1 & 2 Dooms - simple atmosphere and shooting in 3D environment, where it was revolutionary at that time.
    Doom 3 - corridor horror jumpy kinda game. Doom 4 (2016) - rebooting and implementing new techs, but with flaws, many directions and short. Doom 5 (Eternal) - figured out its own direction and went full on with it, which why it's going to take some time to get    the series went from:
    1 & 2 Dooms - simple atmosphere and shooting in 3D environment, where it was revolutionary at that time.

    The end result of all of this is a hyper-intense gameplay loop of constant movement, weapon swapping, and decision making. It makes you feel like a demon-slaying god when you finally overcome. It's extremely engaging to the point that I keep coming back even after like 4 playthroughs.

    I highly recommend this game cuz you'll love to kill those demons with a bunch of different weapons and just kill all of them! no mercy allowed playing Doom or you're dead!

    The game is beautiful bloody, gore, the main gameplay is long and wonderful!
    It has 1 DLC The Ancient Gods which is separated in 2 parts, Part 1 you'll play this year and the second half you'll get it in 2021.

    Doom as usual getting better every year. What it was good now with Eternal is even better, extremely violent, basically all the demons from Hell trying to kill you no matter what all sorts of demons.

    Don't listen to all the fools complaining about there being no ammo, you have a chainsaw that recharges itself and when used replenishes around half of your ammo. Rip and tear and, most importantly, chainsaw until it's done.

    The game's main idea appears to be always to keep moving and is an action title that features a crazy amount of weapon and weak points to exploit in your enemies. There is a lot of detail to appreciate in its gameplay and is one of the best first-person shooters.

    Fun game. There is a lot to do while exploring the levels it features, and its gameplay is always filled with adrenaline and the exhibition of how good you can be while playing it. I had a great time with it as I went from being scare of demons to punching them out of existence!

    Make sure to have a combat knife to shave with after every play session because you're gonna grow so much hair that you will be able to make a rope out of it to hang demons from the ceiling.

    What an epic game. The soundtrack carries action pieces to greater heights and the ambience doesn't hold back punches either. A climbing ladder of constant challenge, new curve balls and constant learning results in a methodical, cheeky dance at the devils door, where everything in the audiovisual department is fuels a spectacle you create by sheer skill and prowess.

    As a sequel, Eternal is magnificent. It manages to expand without changing what made its predecessor awesome. DOOM’s core remains intact: the gory combat, bloody imagery, frantic pace, and super satisfying gunplay. What has changed is the coating. We’re presented with a new gameplay loop that builds upon that of DOOM 2016. Not everyone will like it, but I sure did!

    Such a challenging game, but it won't stop you if you'd prefer to take a breezy tour through metal album landscapes and demon guts !!
    And dont forget to put the difficulty on Nightmare ...

    I gave up on FPS as a genre quite a long ago. Not the biggest fan of Doom 2016 but this game was way better and much more deep.

    I really wanted to like this game. I only played it for about 90 minutes and returned it so maybe it gets better later on. There were a significant number of jumping puzzles and with a double jump and double dash it got stupid fast. Having to figure out how to double jump to a platform that drops into lava in one second and then in that 1 second find the next spot to jump too oh too lateI really wanted to like this game. I wanted to quit but couldn't because i wasn't sure if it was going to save what checkpoint I was at and force me to restart the stupid jumping puzzle heavy level. I cannot emphasize how much I **** hated the jumping and dashing puzzels.

    On top of that instead of bringing in new colors and environments it's "hell on earth" so instead of being new and exciting it's the same dumb browns and reds because they brought hell to earth. Such a dumb design decision. Weapons feel under powered and are not satisfying and you carry a hilariously small amount of ammo for each one. I paid like $96 for the game with the year one stuff and honestly I'd probably never play this game again the jumping and dashing puzzles annoyed me so much.    … Expand

    DOOM Eternal makes DOOM 2016 seem like a game for toddlers. It's faster, harder and better. There are however complaints which I find overdramatic and strange: "This is not DOOM 2016", "No ammo for anything" or "Game restricts how you play". There are hints of truth in every complaint of course, but only if you do not look at the whole picture.

    I still highly recommend it. It's worth every penny. It just doesn't pull at me quite the way DOOM (2016) did, and still does. I like Eternal in the same way I like Doom 3. It's Doom, it's just a different flavor of Doom. If Ultimate Doom is Coke, then DOOM is adding a shot of rum, and DOOM Eternal is dumping it all out and getting a Sprite. Tasty, but not quite what I expected.

    Simply put, the greatest first person shooter ever made and a must play for fans of the genre and the Doom series. Very few games feature enemy and weapon lineups where each and every tool at your disposal has a huge strength and weakness from situation to situation.

    Doom Eternal is a masterpiece of a game, with significant improvements that makes it vastly more enjoyable than Doom 2016. New mechanics introduce new gameplay opportunities and increased movement, while the demons of Hell increase in strength, numbers, and ferocity.

    Doom Eternal is a masterpiece. id software (ID) has stuck to the same 27 year old formula that PC gamers fell in love with on MS DOS, and continue to improve on it with additional game mechanics, an upgraded engine, and new demons of Hell to slaughter while listening to excellent heavy metal music.

    The Doom Slayer is more mobile in every possible way and the combat is even more fast paced. Enemies are smarter, more aggressive and more varied across the board. New abilities like the blood punch, flame belch and ice grenade have been added, and provide even more tactical depth.

    Extremely challenging and crushing on ultra violence and nightmare difficulty, but totally manageable and balanced if you know how to play properly. This game will have you spitting out your own teeth and bleeding from your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but you'll love every minute of it.

    Doom Eternal has to be one of the most interesting First Person Shooters that I have played in a long time. There is so much about this game that really worked for me, with the secrets, the weapons, and just how fun the areas are to explore. The game is a blast to play from start to finish and I just wanted more of it.     This game is one of the best games I've ever played. Unlike Doom(2016) each level feels and looks unique. The dash does a really great job at making the gameplay feel super fluid. Even with nearly 1000 hours into the game I still find it challenging and entertaining.

Combat is even more visceral, and while it may at first feel the game is forcing you into a certain play style, it's ACTUALLY giving you more control on how to manage resources. You have to play smarter, but you can also remedy any situation far easier than in 2016.     Overall Doom Eternal is simply everything I dreamed it would be, which is really saying something these days. ID Software should be PROUD of this masterpiece and I can't thank them enough for continuing on this series.

    WTF is this? It sure as hell is not DOOM. It's got platforming! Platforming in DOOM! What degenerate moron thought that platforming should be in ANY shooter?! Actually a proper shooter should not even have a jump key/button to keep the devs from stupid ideas like platforming!!! Throughout ETERNAL you'll find these weird looking walls ripped straight out of the last three TOMB RAIDER gamesWTF is this? It sure as hell is not DOOM. It's got platforming! Platforming in DOOM! Throughout ETERNAL you'll find these weird looking walls ripped straight out of the last three TOMB RAIDER games that you can grapple onto, ballet posts are sticking out of walls that you need to grab and monkey-swing to floating platforms from. Some platforms have traps that rotate on chains, ripped straight out of SUPER MARIO. All this really does not make a lick of sense, but here it is and it is re-fking-tarded.
    Another shock was the 1 Up! pickup that gives you 1 life. SUPER MARIO coming full circle? Nah, thank God they didn't go that far, it's just an instant respawn when you die instead of being bumped back to the last checkpoint. Almost had me there, ID.
    Slapstick cartoonish monsters? WTF?! Eyes bug out in terror when you glory kill an imp.
    What's with all the neon colored BS. There's constantly something neon flashing on the screen, be it colorful pickups or LOW AMMO and LOW HEALTH flashing up on screen. Be prepared to have that BS constantly flashing, since ammo is scarce and enemies hit like Mack trucks. You don't find ammo in abundance or health pickups either, nooooo. You need to glory kill enemies or use your chainsaw for health pickups to spawn from fallen enemies. Oh, yeah, the chainsaw can only be used five times before it runs out of gas.
    The game has you constantly bouncing around like a hyperactive toddler who's drank 10 gallons of Coke.
    Now they added a story. A story in DOOM. And upgrading/crafting. You get mods for armor and weapons. And mods for those mods. WTF?!
    DOOM ETERNAL's level design is atrocious. And it's full of BS platforming. You're more a circus acrobat than some Space Marine in power armor.
    It's a pity, because ID's engine is impressive, the game's visuals are stunning, top-notch and I loved the soundtrack. A pity that you cannot marvel the vistas (or you're dead in seconds) and they went overboard with the flashing HUD, flashing enemies and neon pickups. And the platforming! That;s the worst part of the game. Seriously f*** that. And crafting/upgrading/mods in a first person shooter? That's a Texas-sized HELL NO!
    Thank God I could refund it. Hell, I'd rather play Capstone's 1994 OPERATION BODY COUNT than this garbage! If this is ID's new trend then that's it for me. No more ID games.    … Expand

    Game is amazing. The gameplay feels so cool, satisfyingly fluid and convenient, and that makes the game very enjoyable, you can be more brütal, faster, bash more demon heads in less time.

    Doom Eternal is definitely an amazing spiritually successor to Doom 2 Hell on earth and does just enough new stuff to make it feel fresh.

    Excellent FPS game. Great mechanics, solid weapon selection, very well designed maps, lots of secrets to find, even the story is above average for an action shooter game. I had some concerns about visual styling and finishers, but it all comes up great together and makes the game very dynamic and vibrant. Graphics and sound are great, and it's optimized well enough.

    Great graphics, excellent story, awesome gameplay and pretty good optimization. Almost everything is really well done in the game and there is nothing bad in it. I would recommend this masterpiece to everyone.

    Rarely do we get to see a AAA title where every aspect of the game in centered around one single element, in this case, combat. Art direction, sound design, story, movement, level design... everything here is built to create the best FPS experience possible, and DOOM delivers. This is definitely one of the best FPS campaigns in recent years.

    BUT this game is definitely one of the best i ever played(now even my favourite), it offers you a large amount of different enemies and weapons. Great music, a pretty decent lore, a lot of secrets, bosses that actually think and the super satisfying/disgusting    This game exceeded my expectations.     This is a brilliant game about three things: moving fast, killing demons, and metal. It does these three things so ludicrously well that it is impossible not to recommend. Plenty of thinkpieces have discussed at length why exactly this game is so good on such a purely visceral level, so I'll leave it to them to give you the details. Suffice to say, this isn't to be missed.

    Massive action shooter that returned to the roots of classic - you run you kill you rip and tear. Hard day at work? Play this. Your friends left you? Play this on Nightmare. This game is sometimes like therapy session but with heavy weaponry and badass music.

    If you're looking for a deep and thought-provoking gaming experience that changes your outlook on life, look elsewhere. However, if you want a fast-paced, visceral shooter full of non-stop action and outrageous violence, you can't do better than Doom Eternal. If you liked 2016's offering you will love this follow up. It's a hell of a good time.

    Like Jason Statham’s character in Crank, Doom Eternal needs adrenaline every waking second. So long as you drown hordes of demons in their own blood, it feels like a perfect GOTY contender, but during quiet moments, Doom Eternal withers and forces you to ponder unpleasant questions. id Software needs to course-correct, otherwise we’ll be playing Super Doom Slayer’s Bros in a few years.
