    The game itself on any difficulty is a gem. DOOM Eternal for me is tied with 2016, in my personal opinion its better in alot of ways too, but i know others hold 2016 closer to themselves. Its a HELL of a lot of fun in whatever mode you play having lots of different ways to play as well.

    Overall DOOM Eternal is a damn good time and with its badass soundtrack and fluid combat, its super worth picking this game up. Its honestly miles better than the already AMAZING 2016 DOOM and the game on higher difficulties can be super difficult while giving you a blood pumpingly good time. I highly recommend picking it up if you're into super fast paced shooters.

    I would recommend this game since it is full of nicer. In fact it's absolutely jam packed with nicer. Some would say its a nicer overload. I would say its Olidi.

    At first I thought Doom was a horror game and oh boy was I right. It is an horror game, for the demons. Best Single player FPS game I have ever played. Worth every single Euro I have spent on it. Such an Amazing game.

    Very enjoyable for the most part. The combat,level design and graphics are its strengths and it's soundtrack is very good as well. Some of the levels could have have been shorter though and it's story also could have been a lot better.

    One of the best first person shooters (if not the best) from 2020. Frantic action, a huge arsenal of weapons with decent progression and a lot of different levels with a variety of enemies to rip and tear. And good optimized too.

    It's the culmination of 25 years of FPS games. Intense, fun, and brutally difficult in parts. You'll die a lot but it never feels unfair and retrying is always enjoyable. If you like FPS games you probably already own this. If you're new to FPS games you should get DOOM 2016 first as DOOM Eternal is the sequel.

    Played a good 7 hours but from everything i saw and did it looked great and based off many videos the game is easily a 10/10 BUT. you HAVE to be aware that you need an up to date PC for this game. i had to refund it because i couldn't play past 15 frames. it is a very demanding game for PC hardware.

    Doom Eternal is a must-play video game. It has an amazing soundtrack, remarkable graphics, etc etc. id software and everyone else who worked on this did a great job fixing bugs. The gameplay is very intriguing, with the graphics almost being top-notch.

    At first I thought there is too much violence, but then I managed to realize that it's a well-developed game with a great storyline. Play at least 4 hours and you'll get the hang of it.

    Almost a year since I got this game (for myself and kiddos).
    we love it so much.
    Solid FPS with great fun and amazing gfx.
    Im not a big fan on the multiplayer but this game it worth every penny.
    still amaze how smooth is the engine

    It is so much more complex, dynamic, fast, and filled with adrenaline that in harder arenas you feel like an action movie hero despite - and even because of - the fact that you're usually one mistake away from death.

    Once a player learns the rules of the game, once he understands the interplay between weapons, abilities, and enemies Doom Eternal becomes vastly more enjoyable than Doom 2016.

    The only quarrels I have with the game are:
    1. The glory kills get repetitive over time.
    2. Occasionally you'll get cornered in some way that you can't really recover from, and the amount of health you have means you sit there panicking for about 15-30 seconds (depending on the situation) before you die.
    Aside from those 2, the game is amazing.

    This game took me a little to really want to play it and it was kind of a late night playthrough but I just have to say this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome the gore the music the gun play the enemies there all amazing I just wanna say. get it get it now but maybe only at like 12 am.

    It reinvents what a run and gun game can be. It's not just shooting your way through hordes of easy enemies, you're actively figuring out which weapons work against which enemies the best, to create a flow, or murderous dance.

    You feel like a god, ITYTD is good for collecting, hurt me plenty is good for if you just want to casually game, Ultra violence is good for a challenge, and nightmare is if you really want to push yourself, Ultra Nightmare is only for the most extreme, casuals wont be able to complete easily, if at all, but still the best game i have ever played.

    This game is absolutely phenomenal. By all means, you should play it. The people who say that your creativity is limited in this game because of the weak-point system are just wrong, definitely try it for yourself. Don't listen to the people who say that you HAVE to play it on Nightmare, they're just wrong, play it at whatever level makes you feel like the ultimate demon slayer

    An absolute beast of an fps game, fast paced, adrenaline rushed, and equally challenging all at the same time, im disappointed to not find other games that are as fast paced as doom eternal, cant even play doom 2016 now. as a long time doom fan, seeing their evolution, ID software has truly earned my respect. 50/10 recommend this game to everyone !

    Easily one of the best FPS I've ever played. Great visuals and performance. Information is communicated clearly to the player even in the most hectic of fights. The constant minding of cooldowns, weapon switching combos, target prioritization, ammo management and positioning makes my ADHD addled brain happy.

    Over the top yet strategic action with great weapons, music that gets you in the zone, ultra detailed and thoughtful demonic/futuristic/medieval environments with lots of secrets. Puzzles and platforming to breaks everything up nicely. It's just insane how good this game is.

Well-optimized, iconic soundtrack, much more variety when it comes to both demons and the slayer's movement in comparison to the previous game, a bit more story oriented while still not keeping the aspect too dominant. I'm not too fond of fps games, but this one's perfect. My only complaints - platforming can get quite annoying from time toEven more fun than the already great Doom 2016. Well-optimized, iconic soundtrack, much more variety when it comes to both demons and the slayer's movement in comparison to the previous game, a bit more story oriented while still not keeping the aspect too dominant. I'm not too fond of fps games, but this one's perfect.     i usually like to post joke reviews but this game is to good for that there's so much depth to the combat, the movement is great, the guns feel fantastic, the environments look fantastic, and it is very very well optimized. on my GTX 1650 it runs at 80-120 FPS on high settings and 120-144 on low settings not to mention the game still looks great at low settings.     Oh man. This game is so good that I can't even... The bonus is that it runs extremely well on Linux and even a bit better than on Windows(like 5-15 and my gpu is not that hot which is weird?) at the time of writing this review.
    Do I recommend it? Yes, but be warned that Doom 2016 is going to feel so slow compared to Eternal.

    I used to be terrible at this game, a lot of deaths in Ultra-Violence. After practice, learning, and having a great time, finishing Ultra-Nightmare was fun. Events to keep players with fancy skins and other awesome stuff, gives this game more replayability.

In short, DOOM Eternal improves everything from 2016. Right from the beginning, we have a view of our hero, who puts on a mask and doesn't keep us waiting too long and throws us right into the action. After all, this is supposed to be the case,DOOM (2016) brought the series back to life, so I waited for what the sequel to DOOM would introduce us to, this time with the subtitle Eternal. In short, DOOM Eternal improves everything from 2016. Right from the beginning, we have a view of our hero, who puts on a mask and doesn't keep us waiting too long and throws us right into the action. After all, this is supposed to be the case, and as I mentioned in the review of the previous part, DOOM, in my opinion, has never been so much about the story and it was mainly an event. Friends ... how to describe it. The action is here ... PHENOMENAL! In the previous game, I slightly complained that it could have been even faster and I got exactly what I wanted and even more! Weapons of luxury, as in the previous game, we just got a new toy in the form of Crubical. Ladies and gentlemen. Mowing these demons was indescribable. In addition to this news, there are others and one, oooh. The one thing ... that completely changes the game and that's DASH! Dash will give you the opportunity to move much faster and so the whole event is even faster, faster and even BRUTAL! We have added new animations in the game, and believe me, that's a different cut. How creative the developers were and what possibilities we massacre the Ememak. In short, the new glory killy is an ABSOLUTE gem, and imagine that the HELL SOUNDTRACK is playing into it. Overall, you feel unstoppable. The player feels that he simply has incredible power, or at least I perceived it that way. It is also worth mentioning the boss fights, which were already luxurious in the previous part at the time, but are several times better here. Locations have also undergone a change. Are we no longer only in hell, but also on Earth, in winter biomes, or even in heaven or where the hell are we? I admit that I don't know myself, but it doesn't matter, because I would just use spoilers unnecessarily and I don't want that. It is possible to spoiler here, because there is again a story, which this time is not harmful and in my opinion is much better than the one from the previous part. The developers simply found a kind of sweet spot dosing action and cut-scenes. Of course, there are also improvements. One of the novelties that players don't praise about the game twice is the jumping passages. Personally, I didn't mind, but for some it was a matter of slowing down the action and unnecessarily stretching the game. I personally disagree. The action here is unbelievable and has such a pace that it just won't let you breathe. So I could somehow calm down all the adrenaline in these parts, where you just jump. Well, I think I praised the game so much, so it's probably no surprise that I think it's a perfect FPS and an excellent game, which I recommend to both DOOM series fans and FPS fans in general.… Expand

    One of the greatest games of our generation! They took a bunch of almost forgotten game mechanics from the 90's, then mashed it into an FPS game, and it works really well! It's also a DOOM game, part of one of the best franchises in Gaming history, so it's fast-paced, challenging, an fun.

    Highly recommend this to anyone.

    This game, for a relatively simple concept of "See demon, shoot demon", is absolutely fantastic. It's challenging, but gives an awesome feeling of accomplishment when you finally beat that one level.
    You just need to remember to KEEP MOVING. If you stand still, you're gonna get shot.

    I'm mediocre at best with FPS games, which DOOM does a great job rubbing in my face. However, the way the checkpoints work, I can do a fight over and over again until I'm satisfied with how I managed to solve it. So if you're good at FPS games, you'll have plenty of opportunities to shine. If you're not but you have the fighting spirit for it then mission by mission you can claw forward.

    Great gameplay, everything is fair and most of the time you die because you are ass at the game, and if you don't play on nightmare - grow up.

    This is not the game you wanted. It's not a good sequel of 2016 Doom but something in-between. You jump on poles, ledges do somersaults and dash through the air. Your ammo depletes fast and you have to switch weapons constantly to survive. Even though it's a dynamic shooter, the game constantly encourages you to move from place to place in order to stay alive and kill all these demons.This is not the game you wanted.     The story is amazing if you get into it and read some of the codex files, really recommend this game to anyone who doesn`t hate gore and wants a good gameplay and story.

    Doom Eternal is about the perfect game when you want to just shut off your brain for a few hours and enjoy some music-driven demonic carnage. The scenery is amazing, the enemies are dynamic and interesting and there was even some room for a decent story.

    If you're looking for a deep and thought-provoking gaming experience that changes your outlook on life, look elsewhere. However, if you want a fast-paced, visceral shooter full of non-stop action and outrageous violence, you can't do better than Doom Eternal. If you liked 2016's offering you will love this follow up. It's a hell of a good time.

    Like Jason Statham’s character in Crank, Doom Eternal needs adrenaline every waking second. So long as you drown hordes of demons in their own blood, it feels like a perfect GOTY contender, but during quiet moments, Doom Eternal withers and forces you to ponder unpleasant questions. id Software needs to course-correct, otherwise we’ll be playing Super Doom Slayer’s Bros in a few years.
