    This game is perfect!!! please don't listen to all the people who are review bombing this game because of the way the rebalanced the game with the introduction of the last dlc, they already said they will fix all of that and its not worth it to review bomb such an incredible flawless game for just a tiny mistake they are about to fix very soon.

    Doom eternal is the best shooter I've ever played. It forces you to think, but also gives room for a lot of creativity once you learn how to use your tools. each level is beautiful and the shooting feels amazing. I really recommend it for people who love skill based shooters. I also suggest coming in with an open mind. There are a lot of mechanics to learn but the game does a good job ofDoom eternal is the best shooter I've ever played. I really recommend it for people who love skill based shooters. I also suggest coming in with an open mind. There are a lot of mechanics to learn but the game does a good job of teaching you with tutorials (you can turn them off if you want to, but I suggest playing with tutorials on for first time). the tutorials are short and do a good job of explaining the mechanics.     I doubt I could write anything that others haven't wrote before. The game is excellent. It is artistically and technically amazing. The music is so good I sometimes left the game running with sound on while doing something else, the main tracks and ambient background music will stay with you for years.     If you know, then you know. There's a bit more of a learning curve compared to the previous one. You gotta get used to spending the rechargeable chainsaw for the ammo. Once you get that reflex in, doesn't matter if you're hardcore, or more casual, you'll be able to make your way through the game. Git gud! And then rip an tear until it is done!

    Easily the best single player FPS ever invented. Throwing cover out the window and heavily embracing a brilliant system where you gain health by killing enemies... I have never had my heart race with such intensity while gaming. Each kill animation is a delight to watch. This is my 2nd time purchasing DOOM ETERNAL (I had it originally on ps4) and its so much tastier on pc. DAMN WHAT A SPICE!

    Excellent combat. One of my most enjoyable gaming experiences. Even after completing the game, I needed to go back and replay the levels so that I could unlock as much as possible. On top of all of this, the soundtrack really completes the game. Now I can tell my friends about the great times that I had slaughtering demons while headbanging!

    - proper sequel to Doom(2016)

    - super tight movement, the addition of the dash mechanic is one of the reasons which makes this a superior experience compared to its predecessor.

    - map design is out of this world, incredibly fun to roam around.

    - game runs super smooth and seems very well optimized

    Very fleshed out gameplay loop, detailed and interesting environments, intriguing story that raises questions, satisfying and interesting gunplay and interesting enemy design which Doom is known for. An amazing game for medium skill to higher skilled fps players, you will keep replaying this for hundreds upon hundreds of hours. 10/10

The missions challenge the player to come back and continue to gain more skill as well as to explore the levels. I also enjoyed the challenge of the Ancient Gods Part 1 expansion pack. While the sequel to the holy grail of FPS games takes a more fantastical tone than it's predecessor, it improves on the gun play to the point where it does for FPS games what its predecessor did for this franchise.     Dam good. Very nice addition to other sci-fi shooters out there. Didn't play the multiplayer much, but I really enjoyed the single player pacing and difficulty. The gameplay feels pretty fluid and taking down the enemies when they are swarming about in an arena like setting gives a gladiator like experience.

    The gameplay loop of Doom Eternal requires more of your attention than Doom 2016 with the way it forces you to use every trick and weapon to complete each combat encounter. I personally think this was a great move, and the two games stand side by side as some of the greatest single player shooter campaigns of a generation.

    All in all its among the best shooters Ive ever played, though I gotta admit, DOOM2016 I liked the dark setting better. On the other hand Eternal is closer to the original DOOM in terms of flashyness and gameplay is way better.

    Played the base game along with playing DLC 1 and 2. Its honestly one of my favorite games that I have ever played. The DLC's alone expand more than I could have ever imagined and could be a separate game on its own. It also does not have any micro transactions! You actually earn the ♥♥♥♥ by playing the game on different difficulties through the campaign, gamemodes, and multiplayer. ThisPlayed the base game along with playing DLC 1 and 2. Its honestly one of my favorite games that I have ever played. The DLC's alone expand more than I could have ever imagined and could be a separate game on its own. It also does not have any micro transactions! You actually earn the ♥♥♥♥ by playing the game on different difficulties through the campaign, gamemodes, and multiplayer. While I get what they are going for id rather just shoot demons and shut my brain off for a few sessions. Using the chainsaw and glory kills just gets annoying after a while.

    Oh my god this game not only looks gorgeous and is more challenging than its predecessor, but whenever I play I become the unstoppable Exodia as I rip & tear demons across different dimensions while heavy metal blasts in the background. All at once my stress and anger of from the real world melts away. Kar En Tuk!

    If you like fast-paced FPS shooters from hell, then there is nothing faster or more intense than this that I know of. The best game in the DOOM series yet. Although DOOM 2016 is still awesome, DOOM Eternal is one step ahead. Action non-stop, mixed with some small puzzles and collectibles. Highly recommended!

    - Another absolute banger. The base game has some really amazing tracks and even though the DLC music was composed by different people it all fits into the gameplay like no other.
    - The enemies. Every enemy has a place and a reason to exist on the chess board. Some are incredibly punishing like a carcass up close. Others are just fodder meant for ammo or armour. But they all fit    PROS
    - Another absolute banger. The base game has some really amazing tracks and even though the DLC music was composed by different people it all fits into the gameplay like no other.

    - The enemies. Every enemy has a place and a reason to exist on the chess board. Some are incredibly punishing like a carcass up close. Others are just fodder meant for ammo or armour. But they all fit beautifully into the Doom dance. Even the Marauder. Just watch Under The Mayo's video about him if you're unable to confidently figure out a way to get through him. He's nowhere near as bad as others have made him out to be.

    - The shooting. Every weapon is fun to shoot, responsive and impactful. Enemies are pulled apart with the new gore system and no weapon feels underwhelming or useless.

    - The controls. Doom guy controls wonderfully (especially when you get the rune to control yourself in mid air better) and zipping around the arena with your dash, swinging off poles and meathooking yourself into the air is incredible. The sense of speed never feels like too much.

    - The combat. On Nightmare the enemies are relentless. This is where the Doom dance shines. You will likely have to get used to quick switching weapons, constantly flame belching, ice bombing and glory killing to stay alive. In 2016 moving in 1 direction wouldn't result in much of a punishment. In Eternal you have to be moving in all directions to properly avoid being hit and I love it all the more for that. Using your chainsaw as an ammo refill was a neat little addition that I personally grew to love a lot along with the flame belch for armour refills.

    - The visuals. This game looks even better than 2016. The vistas are incredibly, textures are higher, enemies are designed to look more closely like their original sprites and the detail on them in terms of textures and animations is top notch.

    - The performance. No game performs like Doom does whilst looking this good. I've never had frame drops from too much happening on screen nor have I ever encountered slow downs from too many enemies spawning in at once. Truly remarkable how well this game runs. Playing this on ultra, at 144hz at 3440x1440 is amazing.

    CONS
    - The story unfolds in a very expository manner. Entire concepts that doom guy would already know about are spoken directly to the player instead of being shown or leaving that information to a codex for those who care to read about it.

    - The crashing. I have had several crashes throughout my time and have never been able to figure out why. At 1 stage I played about 16 hours without an issue (my first playthrough). Then I had about 4 different crashes over about 10 hours of gametime. Just recently I've been practicing some Ultra Nightmare runs and it hasn't crashed once. Its been very inconsistent.

    - As of 16 MAR 21 you will likely encounter issues with the bloodpunch and chainsaw. The bloodpunch will sometimes not activate at all or you'll have an enemy highlighted orange for a glory kill but you'll blood punch it instead. With the chainsaw you could be closer than you actually need to be but have the game not register the attack and flash "no target" or you'll get the same message flash up if you try using it against a demon thats in the middle of some animations. The latter instance is inconsistent in of itself though as I've managed to chainsaw many imps whilst they were leaping between platforms.

    - Ground attacks from certain enemies have a tendency to activate infinite tracking at times. I've had some attacks fall short as I dashed backwards. Others rounded corners and somehow followed me into the air. It doesn't happen often but its frustrating when it does.

    I love the HELL out of this game. There are some aspects of the Doom immediately prior to this that I love. The simplicity. However, I feel that Doom Eternal is in general a much more challenging game. The action in this game never ends, and the music is fantastic. The visceral deaths feel so good in this game, and there are so many ways to kill your enemies. Weapon modifiers are wellI love the HELL out of this game.     Did you just get off work? Are you pissed off? Did you just nose blast a rail of that sweet Columbian good-good? Then this game is for you. Yeah overall it's great if blasting demons is your thing, and you don't want the hastle of a deep story that you have to pay attention to.

    This game is just amazing, the soundtrack, the fast paced combat, going through all your weapons until theyre empty, chainsawing a dude and repeat until it is done. Play it on Ultra Violence for the perfect experience.

    DOOM Eternal is one of the best Singleplayer shooters I've played in a long time, so much to the point where I beat the main campaign three times (twice on Ultra Violence, once on Nightmare).     I tried playing DOOM (2016) after playing this, and this game is infinitely better and worlds above the standard of all FPS games I've seen.

    One of the best first person shooters ever. Feels like StarCraft 2 as an FPS game. So much to manage and worry about. Simply perfect gameplay constantly. The campaign is a perfect way to learn all the weapons, movements, strategies, abilities, and more.

    If you're looking for a deep and thought-provoking gaming experience that changes your outlook on life, look elsewhere. However, if you want a fast-paced, visceral shooter full of non-stop action and outrageous violence, you can't do better than Doom Eternal. If you liked 2016's offering you will love this follow up. It's a hell of a good time.

    Like Jason Statham’s character in Crank, Doom Eternal needs adrenaline every waking second. So long as you drown hordes of demons in their own blood, it feels like a perfect GOTY contender, but during quiet moments, Doom Eternal withers and forces you to ponder unpleasant questions. id Software needs to course-correct, otherwise we’ll be playing Super Doom Slayer’s Bros in a few years.
