    Uninstalling after the Season 1 patch. Had high hopes for the game and enjoyed it for a bit, but then the season 1 patch came and it's just a horrible, slow, slog for no actual game. This is an ARPG, not Stardew Valley. Fast pace, good and varied loot, and great bosses are a must and D4 now fails on every single one of those.

    The campaign was really interesting and fun, got with it somewere lvl 40-50, but after that is just painful to play, loot are trash, extreme grinding for a "unique" item to make your build work, chests not rewarding just waste of time, classes not balanced and in the end they came with a massive nerf to all classes making them even weaker and harder to do any NM dungeons.     Diablo 4 is worse than a bad game. It's an experiment to see how much money you can extract for the least amount of game possible, ethics be damned. How low can we go and still get away with raking in cash? It's anti-consumer and damaging to the industry.

    This game only positive is you can pat the dog in town. I purchased a game that had 5 playable characters. Now 3 are playable and 2 are laughable. New patch has made me feel like I've bought a car with 3 wheels.    I admit I got, got.

    Blizzard killed the best thing about Diablo: the loot!!
    "legendaries" are a poor substitute for uniques. So much of the fun of Diablo used to be building characters that used uniques in, well, unique ways. Hell, just finding one was great. Now I dont even get a jump in the heartbeat when one drops because it will only be mats for something from the codex....

    The instant "success" and profit figures of Diablo 4 are totally based on the franchise name and history, not this game itself. Sure the graphics and UI are good but the game is completely missing decent lore and feel that made Diablo 1 & 2 so great (skipping over Diablo 3 which many people will understand why).     I made a review and got a 403. Great. I'll just summarize:
    This patch is horrible. It needs to be reverted. If this is how they are going to update the game and implement player feedback (taking the feedback and doing the polar opposite), then they don't deserve to have good reviews.
    Spend your $75 elsewhere. You won't regret missing this one, at least in the bad state it is in right now.

Instead they slowed down XP, increased the damage we took, reduced the damage we do. They hurt the game across the board, everything is slower now.     Fundamentally flawed. It's suppose to be a MMO but there's no trading of aspects or legionaries, no party finder, and no one seems to be online in areas outside of the main town. It's a very lonely single player game that requires you to be online. Itemization is completely undersigned. The campaign is really enjoyable but things slow down after you finish the campaign and unlock world tier 3 - and grinds to a halt soon after. 50 to 100 is a horrible slog with not much to keep you motivated to grind on, and to make things worse blizzard decided to nerf pretty much everything even remotely fun in patch 1.1.0. Let alone a NEGATIVE ONE. But I had too. I am so disappointed with this game and I'm going to tell you why. Waited over 10 years for this game. After grinding for a decade on Diablo 3 - My first introduction to the game.

    Diablo 4 started off amazing. And really had a decent story, much better gameplay than Diablo 3 and fixed a ton of stuff. Problem here is two fold. I have NEVER liked seasons. I think it's the dumbest idea ever personally. I think they are entirely a waste - And forces you to NOT continue progressing the same character that you love obviously, and it's unfortunate that you are pigeon-holed into continuing with what blizzard wants you to do, and not exactly what you want to do. Making previous characters irrelevant, then onto next sprint to another pointless season.

    2nd problem with this game is the fact that the nerfs, buffs, and patches don't just come. They come with a FORCE. It's not a simple, "lets fix a couple things." It's literally: "Hey you guys are having fun with our video game, and finding all this cool stuff, and very serious players are reaping many rewards because they SLAVED 100's of hours? Yeah, lets NUKE your fun." The last patch they put out was the most atrocious, despicable, and relentless change to a video I have ever seen in 32 years. The saddest thing I have ever experienced playing video games personally. And it felt personal. I am not alone in this. Read the dang reviews lol.

    Instead of some really reasonable fixes, they NUKED all characters, and made my personal favorite Rogue absolutely unplayable. Especially at high levels. Taking away the one thing that made them playable - LEACH. I Could push HIGH 75's+ NM dungeons with relative ease bases on building a badass character with endless time and tinkering put in, and now low 60's are hard, and taking away most of the fun and progression higher. Patch goal = add to the grind factor. Like really? Dude Diablo franchise is already a grind. You don't multiply that for the sake of doing so. It's a grind franchise by default. Don't forcibly add to that.

    I say this as a major warning when it comes to doing any involvement with blizzard. They are a cash grab. I saw it in Diablo 3. DO NOT be fooled by FALSE critic reviews Who are NOT GAMERS. THE devs are after money. They are not after creating the best video game, and they showed us this when the last patch came out. And also many changes back int he day of D3. They destroyed "eternal realm" that I was playing 6 hours a day on+ to wanting to uninstall the game. Literally I'm not playing at all anymore overnight. Was even going to splurge on a $6,000 custom computer setup just for the game. Money is not an issue and I had fun. Why not?! Not anymore. Back to final fantasy. Diablo 4 as of right now is dead, and DO NOT be fooled by critics and dev's who are NOT PLAYERS.

    I have worked in many industries. Reviews can be bought, and blizzard devs are NOT your friend. They are a business that need to monetize margins and revenue. Destroying eternal realm to push everyone into seasons to "try and keep it fresh," and sell you things (cosmetics, etc) is their game. They are not after all players. They are after the widest "monetizeable demographic." Trust me... I teach people how to scale their businesses and top-line revenue. I know they're game. They don't care about the major gamer, the hardcore gamer, they just want to appeal to the casual mindless zombie that "toes the line" and will show up no matter how much they nuke their fun. Each season after another.

    Marvel did this when after "Avengers Endgame" - They made everything a joke, stupid, and for kiddies, because they could make more money. Quantity over quality. It's not about good story here. It's the cheese/bread/dinero/$.

    It really saddens me to make this post as I really liked D4 in the beginning. It is an unplayable empty shell husk compared to what we started with. Hope this does not come off as whining, but more of a diary or therapy session LOL for venting. Blizzard did the community DIRTY, and I promise you they don't care. It will only get worse. This is their intro.

    You are not their priority. Profit is. This is expected.

    Good luck with your seasons. Hopefully not everyone feels this way, and some still enjoy the game, but like I said. They absolutely desecrated major gamers, and what makes a game fun, and what makes it so fun to keep showing up too. Retiring Diablo 4. GG blizzard. You guys won. I hope your margins were worth it.

    P.S. Don't introduce uber uniques at such a low drop rate, that nobody over the course of 4000 hours of gameplay will ever find, and even if they do find ONE, they can still roll bad stats.     From a good(not great) early/mid-game + campaign and big marketing campaign that probably made them 1-2 billion in revenue in the first few weeks - while making people literally pay $70-100 to be beta testers especially for the end game - to making people quit the game with season 1 to cut cost.

    I mean kudos to Blizzard - that was a genius move.

To me it shows they have 0 respect for their customers time, they have no clue how their own game works and the game is simply not fun after the content runs out at lvl 50 or so. I thought Blizzard was finally going in the right direction with the D4 release (except for the WoW elements in the game which I don't like). Big disappointment. Fix this ASAP, or I will never buy a ActiBlizz game again.… Expand

    I liked this game...now it is unplayable! I have been playing Diablo since D1 as a casual player. I completed D1, D2, and D3 many times, but wouldn't say I am a hardcore Diablo player.     I used this as a guide for my Ice    I liked this game...now it is unplayable! I have been playing Diablo since D1 as a casual player. I completed D1, D2, and D3 many times, but wouldn't say I am a hardcore Diablo player. It used to a be a great RPG experience of leveling up, getting better items, and then finding some cool stuff for each class. The story lines were great. Then came D4...

    Visuals - Stunning! The game looks awesome!

    Sound - The game is missing the iconic Diablo background sound track! I'm surprised they didn't use it anywhere!

    Story - I don't know. That's just it, I can't finish the game!

    Game Play - Since the new patch 1.1, my character (Ice Sorc) can't do anything! I used to be able to handle a crowd of enemies with some ease or even some challenge with elites. Now forget it...I can't even handle 5 low level clans in the open maps and Dungeons, quests, and story line cannot be completed! They NERFd the hell out of me! I'm useless now!

    My ~30 level Sorc would deal about 300 per Ice Shard, so about 1500 per enemy shot. Now I'm down to 250 (1250 Total) and the health for the bad guys went up about 15%. That makes my char 35% weaker! But wait...there is more! Now my cooldown was about 1-2 seconds, now it's 3! So...

    Before Patch
    1500 Damage Per Second
    ~1.5 second cool down
    Normal Enemy Health
    CAN kill single enemies from distance before they get close enough.

    After Patch
    1250 Damage per Second
    ~3 second Cool Down
    Increased enemy health
    CAN'T kill single enemies from distance before they get close enough.

    So i have to run around, jump freeze, run away, all while my cooldowns are ready, then BAM the monsters on top of me again...

    This game started out kind of fun, but if you took it too slow (doing side quests and dungeons) you basically have a harder time fighting the level scaled enemies, then patch 1.1 came out, and gutted most builds.

    I am just a casual D4 player. I play after work since the launch. I had a lot fun until the last patch. After the patch, my character suddenly died many times and I was wondering what's going on. I did change a new armor last night, was that the issue? I changed back to older armor and still died very quick. Then I checked and found out Blizz nerfed everything. I only give D4 a rating of 4 since the cinematics and story are well done, other than that, it's a hot P.O.S and the morons directing the developers are so out of tune with what the players want, it's almost like it's on purpose they are destroying the game and franchise. A real shame. Go play Path of Exile.

Am I recommending a game I’d take a refund on right now. No. They are not willing to move fast enough. So until then I’ll just trash the game. Good luck recovering

    The fireside chats are a joke and most of the time they make promises to fix the problems they have admitted to, and than do the complete opposite. They tell you what you wanna hear but than go and do whatever they want and ignore it all.

Apparently the poor excuse for the lack of stash, is that it takes too much memory to load another players items in their stash when they are near your player!! HAHA what a dumb a$$ made up excuse. Everyone knows they want players to pay for more stash tabs.. good old Bli$$

The skill tree gives the illusion of flexibility, then you realise about 4-5hrs in "oh most of the skills suck, looks like its spin to win baby". On my Necro, I want to use minions but are mediocre against mobs and are useless against bosses. Speaking of the bosses, they are straight boring. D2 Andarial and Durial were an absolute pain but was satisfying to beat, D4 snoozefest. The pacing of the game feels slow, particularly after the 1.1 disaster. Maybe if you had a PTR Blizzard, we could of told you before you implemented it, how bad it is. WoW has had one for years, where is it?

    They got rid of set items because they wanted more variety in game play. Yet they gave us these super rare items aspects that make or break a build. Whats the difference??? At least with the sets I could build to something. In D3 I got the same set item, sweet I can transmute to another item in the set. Sure it wasn't guaranteed but it gave a better chance.

    In all fairness, it took D3 years before it got better. But surely after 3 games you learn from mistakes. Each game people have wanted more stash space, this is not is a diablo alone complaint. People like collecting, in games and IRL. What is even more perplexing is they had the "let's load the stash when you see another player" problem in D3. Seriously, did no one question this system going into D4??? Nah let's just give less stash instead. We just want to hoard. Let the people hoard!!!!!!

    I could go on and on but I've already wasted enough time on D4.

    This is a $70 beta with zero replayability. I am currently playing phone games that have better end games and more depth. The devs are in way over their heads, and have no idea how to make a fun or successful game in this genre. Wait a few years for this game to go from absolutely terrible to 'almost absolutely terrible'.

    We will not be developing an endgame, we will just nerf the classes and reduce the experience gained. And we will also sell the battle pass without confirmation.
    Oh yes, we will also change the balance in each patch.
    It's not an AAA game, it's a beta test for 70 bucks.
    All I can say is "Blizzard, play this **** yourself" :)

    Absolutely ruined the game with the latest patch…. The end game sucks even worse than it did. Season 1 is an absolute joke. I created an account on metacritic just to write this, that should tell you how much I loathe the new season and updates. Can’t wait for BG3 though!

    While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
