    The themes and mechanics are just not enough for a game released 2023. I have more fun playing Diablo 2 again. The concepts feel stale and out of date. And all that micro transaction machinations and seasons and what not are totally unecessary.

    I.. cannot believe this.. When I played this game in Beta I was super excited.. The character build, the environment, the classes everything seemed to be too good to be made by THIS Blizzard... But the more I played it the more disappointed I came to be.. Repetitive gameplay, same skill cycle, only a selective amount of skills are actually playable.. And the story is actually ok and is theI.. cannot believe this.. When I played this game in Beta I was super excited.. The character build, the environment, the classes everything seemed to be too good to be made by THIS Blizzard... But the more I played it the more disappointed I came to be.. Repetitive gameplay, same skill cycle, only a selective amount of skills are actually playable.. And the story is actually ok and is the best thing about the game currently.. It feels more like a mobile game than a PC/Console game.. I cannot believe they screwed it like they did with Diablo 3.. Marius in Diablo 2 had a better fate than us Blizzard fans...… Expand

    Diablo 4, the best garbage game ever.

    In the world of nerfs, nerfs, nerfs, bugs, let alone the taste of eating items, I'm busy picking up trash, and I'm nervous about organizing my inventory.

    There will never be another Blizzard game purchase ^^

    Its not an arpg nor mmo. Its a bland version of both, stripped of things ppl like about these things. As an arpg fan, I just cant find anything I would enjoy playing for more than few hours. I miss build options. There are no real options what and how to play the game, which is the reason ppl play arpgs for. No itemisation. Low/no replayability. There are also no such things like LFG orIts not an arpg nor mmo. Its a bland version of both, stripped of things ppl like about these things.     Agressive monetisation. The game started with literally pay to win race, huge prepaid price with tons of other forms of monetisation. Im worried what comes next. Knowing blizzard, most likely this game will contain all forms of monetisations known to human kind.
    Its not for arpg fans. Its for casual dads, who are nostalgic about diablo and want to avoid complicated games. For arpgs there are way better games, like PoE, LE, TLI, GD. For mmorpg just go WoW or FF. All these games are better and cheaper.    … Expand

    it was an amazing game until it was fked by it own "BALANCE TEAM"
    cool graphics and the gameplay feels some what okay atleast for some class. (barb and druid early game feels GARBAGE) i changed my class twice and saw how much better rogue was. so theres no point to continue when ur fav class is dudu and the team decides to nerf the intire game

    I have been wrestling on if I wanted to give this game a 4 or a 6 so I settled on 5. Then I wrote out my review and changed my mind to 4. It's so low for a simple reason: the game isn't fun.

    The team did a good job of making it look like Diablo should again, the story is more interesting and detailed than usual, and the voice acting is good. Those are the positives.     The biggest, most glaring negative is the level scaling, by far. Each fight feels like an annoyance, because it's not really making you any stronger. It's just slowing you down. Even if you gain a level, so do the monsters. You're really getting relatively weaker as the game goes on. And there are so many random pointless fights as you go from one objective to another.

    And those random pointless fights are against the same mobs over and over. There might be some color changes, but that's about it. The environments are more varied, but when you keep running back and forth to do quests all you're really thinking about is the annoying fights you have to deal with. I've thought a few times about trying a different class and I just keep thinking about how little desire I have to slog through all of that again.

    The UI is bad and annoying, there's no overlay map so I just keep tabbing the world map open and closed over and over. There's no search for skills or for your inventory. Gotta design everything around console I guess.    … Expand

    Dog **** end game. Open world game build around farming nm dungeons because its the only worthwhile end game content tk complete.... Open world game where you hardly ever encounter other players. Lack luster itemization. Lack of qol is insane. Last Epoch has 1000x the amount of qol and the resources and size of that team is much smaller than d4. Dog**** game

    Just another cash crab with nothing new or innovative. The dev defends releasing garbage and suggesting not every game can be Baldur's Gate 3. No kidding. When you choose failure (we know it's not choosing to fail, it's choosing to be cheap and work only towards shareholder profits) you will absolutely fail. Diablo IV proves this hands down. Mildly    Clearly, not Baldur's Gate 3.

    Most predatory anti consumer piece of media I’ve ever consumed they took all the good faith of the Diablo franchise and sold it off to the investors. These people don’t care about the people who buy their product! If you have any self respect you will avoid this game like the plague!

    I have played Diablo since D1, skipped Immortal. The Diablo series and Blizzard games in general used to be a sure beat of quality, game play and storytelling. But those days are far behind us now. The quality of the cinematics in D4 are great and the dark themes are there. I am struggling to play through the campaign on 1 character. Act 1 story feels disjointed and isnt exciting at all,I have played Diablo since D1, skipped Immortal. The Diablo series and Blizzard games in general used to be a sure beat of quality, game play and storytelling. But those days are far behind us now. The quality of the cinematics in D4 are great and the dark themes are there. I am struggling to play through the campaign on 1 character. Act 1 story feels disjointed and isnt exciting at all, having to collect renown doesn't belong here in Diablo either. The statues are meh, really more of a distraction. All the defenders say the game gets good at endgame, I don't play endgame in Diablo, seasons dont do it for me. I enjoyed D3's campaign enough to go through it on all classes and it had seasons. For $120 the game should be good from the moment I create my first character. They charge a premium for the game and then try and lure you into micro transactions with xmogs and season passes. For me, Blizzard has gone from company that used to output great high quality games that you knew were going to be good to a business that wants to harvest as much coin off of their decade's old player base. Sorry Blizz but if you want to keep you loyal players, go back to the old way of making games. Games that have substance and not microtransactions, back to having actual engaging story to make the character feel invested, not the so far predictable drivel that is in D4. Go back to designing games and story in the way that built your loyal player base, but I fear that you are too far gone.… Expand

    - the first 30ish levels of progress bad: - empty world - a lot of backtracking - if you didn't like bounties in D3 prepare yourself, they are the only activity now, both in the open world and in dungeons (which replaced nephalim rifts) - lag - pvp is completely busted - world events happen on a real life timer, so you better adjust your real life schedule or you'll    good:
    -story

    - legendaries are boring and barely have synergy
    - items have too many of basically the same stats (+dmg in 20 different flavors)
    - no set items and only like 6 unique items per class
    - experimenting with builds is actively discouraged as the prices for changing skills goes up exponentially and seemingly infinitely

    whoever can remember how bad D3 was in the beginning when it had the real money auction house as the sole avenue to gear up, D4 feels just as bad even without the auction house    … Expand

    This game tricked everyone. Make the early game amazing, pay off Critic Reviews. Doesn't hide the fact its a garbage game from a selfish company. People spend more time messing with lack of inventory space than playing.

Why sell a bunch of cosmetic items and battle passes? You spent a lot of money on marketing, songs hitting Eilish, popular streamers, to advertise a dummy.     The people have spoken but they are wrong. Nothing about this game deserves lower than a 7 out of 10. Hyperbolic internet culture on full display. D4 is a fine game only issues that bug me are QOL issues that will hopefully be resolved sooner than later but thats all

    As a life long Diablo fan, I was super hyped for Diablo 4. Diablo 2 may be my most played game of all time. I didn't like Diablo 3 at first but they fixed it over the years and, while it wasn't as good as Diablo 2, it ended up being solid. Diablo 2 Resurrected was fantastic. That said, Diablo 4 just doesn't live up to the hype. The campaign was great and I enjoyed the story. The combatAs a life long Diablo fan, I was super hyped for Diablo 4. Diablo 2 may be my most played game of all time. I didn't like Diablo 3 at first but they fixed it over the years and, while it wasn't as good as Diablo 2, it ended up being solid. Ich war nach 25 Stunden durch die campain und alles danach is eigentlich nur noch das ein und selbe dungoen immer und immer wieder machennich hab lange auf ein diablo2 gewartet was an diablo 2 rankommt aber das hier is es definitiv nicht Die angeblich 200 dungoens sind nur 15-20 die einfach copy Paste über die ganze map verteilt sind und das fühlt sich nicht nur so an das ist auch so
    Die Bosse später sind auch nicht wirklich herausfordernd sogar uber nicht Dann dieser überlegung komm wir machen jetzt die nightmare dungoens level 100 für die nächsten 6 seasons schon mal aber was die Leute nach dem ersten Season Start oder nach dem Leveln machen scheiss egal … die können ja was anderes spielen is ja kein spiel das man länger spielen sollte für 120€ in der teuersten Edition Und der eigentliche Witz kommt jetzt ich hab 350+ in dem Spiel und hab noch nicht mal jemanden mit nem shako oder einem von den Entwicklern gezeigtes uniqe GESEHEN nicht ich hab keins ich hab bis jetzt niemanden gesehen der eins hat und das ist ganz ehrlich ne üble sauerrei in der Zeit hätte ich bei dia2 n Magier ne amazone und noch n Pala halb aufgebaut klar nicht auf 100 beide allerhöchstens auf 80 aber da hätte wenigstenseiner n shako 100%
    Es ist einfach nur simple hinhalte Taktik mal schauen wie lang se sich die scheisse noch geben und das ist ziemlich übler scheiss find ich Diesen hate von den POE entwicklern kann ich zwar auch nicht verstehen POE ist in meinen Augen noch viel üblerer Schrott aber Ich hoffe das dieses Baldurs Gate mal die Leute wach rüttelt und mal wieder zum normal denken bringt und nicht blind jeden scheiss zu kaufen so wie ich dieses Mal wieder    … Expand

    Path of Exile doesnt even need to invest in advertising, this game did it for free.

    This game has literally no endgame, fundamental defensive mechanics dont work (resistances), Dungeons are boring, with boring quests inside them in order to complete, layouts are trash in most of them, and the gearing and glyph system is very shallow and boring.

    While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
