    This game is complete trash. Especially in comparison to D3. It is soulless and empty. It is extremely grindy. Leveling experience is good until about level 10-20, than its just garbage. Super boring. The story is mid but mind numbing a couple acts in a not interesting to follow. The background art is utter trash. The world map is huge but its the same boring background of desert and plains. A lot of running and wasting time in the same boring environment. You never feel strong during the leveling process.

    I have been waiting for years for this to squad with the boys, but this is just garbage. Not even close to D3.

    I would refund if I could but you cant refund after 2 hours played. Blizz is officially dead. Soulless corporation that only wants your dollars. Buy this game if you hate yourself and the gaming community and want to buy bobby another yacht.    … Expand

    I'm here to give an actual honest review, because some people are saying good things about the game and then still giving it a 0 to follow the others who did the same thing.

    The game is good, and I easily got 200+ hours out of the game, because it is just that fun. That's more time than I get out of other games near the same price. Giving the game a 0 is super dramatic and not even deserved. It just shows the herd mentality people have. It does have it's flaws, as does every game. The end game is pretty boring, but the seasons will add more fun and I'm really excited to see what the expansions bring to the table. The game has a great base to build upon for sure. The campaign is great fun, and the story is pretty engaging.

    A wardrobe where you can store & save your sets/ builds. The Chest: You have so much space that you can deposit all Set items of all 7 characters, all gems, all legendary items and you still had space. The enemies do not scale with you.
    In D4 you don't have a clear explanation. What is Lucky Hit Chance? How does that work? You have to google    Diablo 3 is so much better...As an example:

    Why do you get stuck with the horse almost everywhere? Why is there a cooldown for the horse (while riding fast)? Whats the Point? The whole game is too slow, is that on purpose? There is not enough space in the chest. And that vulnerability is probably one of the most annoying things in the game. It's even more annoying when you get crowd controlled, get frozen and then get dizzy while the monsters attack you and you can only watch until you die. And the season is probably the most boring thing I've ever seen. Too bad I already activated my season pass.

    I really regret that I pre-ordered the most expensive version of d4.

    (I know where they want to go with the story and it makes sense too, but it's done so miserably it just seems stupid)

    I've explored 50% of the map, and certainly haven't thought to investigate the rest - Big for the sake of big...

    I'VE ONLY DIED 3 TIMES IN THE GAME - IT F******TOO EASY And unlike before, even AFTER I have completed the campaign, I STILL CANNOT turn up the difficulty without grinding!

    And unlike D2 LOD or D3, I don't feel like there have been done any deep thought about the end game - I'm sitting here at the end and have completed a campaign I absolutely don't want to visit again and think "well and now what?"

    The 70€ price tag does valid this game,pretty graphics, medium game length, sub par story, and insulting dumb minded mechanics and difficulty for kids.    … Expand

    The early game, up until 50, along with the campaign/story, audio and visuals, cinematics are a solid 8 out of 10. However, when you start moving into tier 3 and past level 60, the game starts showing its flaws and it goes down to a 4 out of 10: -    Edit: Changing my review to a 4 out of 10, considering the state of the game and Blizzard's stance/actions or rather lack of actions.

    The early game, up until 50, along with the campaign/story, audio and visuals, cinematics are a solid 8 out of 10.

    However, when you start moving into tier 3 and past level 60, the game starts showing its flaws and it goes down to a 4 out of 10:
    - There are basically just a few dungeons, rehashed, reused, jost changed a bit, with the same 5 bosses reused in them.
    - Obnoxious enemy design, that have built in CC mechanics, a lot of the melee enemies have some form of ranged ability that does massive damage.
    - Dungeon affixes are overtuned, when you get to tier 4 it shows real bad.
    - Chained CC on your character by the enemies, environment and dungeon affixes, it's not uncommon to be CCed for 3-5 seconds in a row with no debuff or timer indicators.
    - Items suck, too many bloated item properties, 90% of them conditional, they could have been reduced to less than 20 meaningful ones.
    - You stop gaining effective power after level 70, mostly due to not finding better items and partly also to the underpowered paragon tree, however monsters gain power with each higher level they gain.
    - Extreme gold costs of enchanting items, you can easily lose more than 20 million gold in less than 10 clicks.
    - Horrible game design, look at the stash controversy (tfor who whon't research the topic - basically they can't add more stash tabs in the game, because every time you go into an area, your game client will load the inventories and stash tabs of all the players in that area/game, no matter if you interact/trade with them or not).
    - Toxic community, avoid the Battlenet Diablo 4 forums at all costs, evey criticisim or complaint is met with toxic trolling and defending broken mechanics, no matter how obvious the points made in the initial post.
    - Constant nerfing of every fun by Blizzard, along to timegating, long cast times on every action like picking up objectives/items in dungeons, rescuing prisoners, activating levers.

    If you're only in it for the story, then take your time, you will enjoy the game, play what class seems cool to you, try out all the skills you find interesting.

    Hoewever, if you plan on playing into the end game, be prepared to run into a wall.
    You might not run into it at 60, or even 70, but you'll get there.
    Despite Blizzard heavily advertising #playyourway, that is false advertising, only the most overpowered builds are viable into the end game (post level 80), your campaign build will get demolished in tier 4.

    It's painfully obvious by the silence from Blizzards end and all the controversies they caused with their videos uploaded to Youtube, their refusal of acknowledging and fixing major issues, and the fact that they already made a ton of money, that they will never fix the game, they'll pump out a mediocre season every 3 months, with some dumb mechanics, and they'll continue to nerf the game, for the sake of "balance".

    Diablo 4, a game held together by the massive contribution of the art, visual, audio and cinematics teams, but brought below ground by all the game/class/mechanics design teams and incompetent developers.

    I want to be proven wrong by Blizzard one day, but I know they don't have it in them anymore, they died 20 years ago.    … Expand

And this one is such a drastic change from the series, not in a good way. First, it feels like an absolute grind fest for everything I do.     - Endgame feels unrewarding and boring. You dont need to get to max level cause you can find on Tier 4 items with max item power. Your only way to get stronger is with paragon points, but XP on higher levels takes way too long. So you can reach your max item level at lvl 70-80. Then you can look for the perfect item with the perfect rolls. But because there are so many trash stats, i'd prefer looking for a needle in a haystack.

    Smaller problems:
    - running circles in dungeons
    - gold drop
    - stash space
    - Glyph leveling not rewarding and capped
    - Battlepass (666 coins)
    - Season Hearts trash and wasting space

    Good:
    - Graphics
    - Sound
    - Story

    The first 50 levels are quite fun if you play the campaign. If you still want fun playing Diablo, stop after campaign and go back to D2.    … Expand

For £90, I expected a game that was actually playable, but instead, I got a buggy mess that is completely unenjoyable. The gameplay is so frustrating that it makes me want to pull my nails out.     Got a Bad reward system. the legendary chest at the end of the season 1 journey is a damn joke.... 3 yellow items with bad stats and item level 772???? this entire value assignment on the items is completely exaggerated and badly done. I play it through to the end, but it was more excruciating than fun. game deleted. shame on you blizzard.

For casual, non seasonal players they nerfed and destroyed the already bitter experience just before the season. Non seasonal server (Eternal) is basically dead. All time invested until S1 is a waste, "thank you for your money ppl".
    Creation of the entire game was replicated in a week by one guy (check YouTube). That is saying a lot. Game is a scam. Hollow and hopeless. Shame on you! I hope you get what you deserve for this lazy projects.    … Expand

    Played Druid and the struggle was real but didn't really accept it. Thought it was myself that was not focus on the build.

    The season came and change to Barb and had all the same experience. The struggle for continuing was so lame.
    Changed to Rogue and the fun really began. But at this time, I've had so much struggle of feeling strong and powerful I just lost all the joy in it.

    The itemization is a catastrophe, the farming for upgrading your gear is even worse.

    The gold you loot is so low that the only way to get gold is to sell items but then you lack mats. So you instead salvage the gear but then you lack gold. The hamster wheel of this is so bad. And if you imprint gear it transforms into a legendary, but the gear itself is not, just the color. So if you salvage the imprinted gear, it's just regular yellow. Might be getting legendary mats when salvage but I guess not.

I feel like this is all done on purpose to waste your in-game time looking at item stats instead of playing a real game. Boring, boring, boring! The game is full of bugs... I'm very disappointed. I had decided not to pay blizzard anymore for games but decided to give diablo 4 a chance. It had heavy hype and really fooled us all into thinking it was going to be a good game. And to be honest, I believed that maybe blizzard would have learned from the not great success of diablo 3 and would listen to people... but NO. Sorry blizzard, you took money from me for the last time. The only meaningful thing you've done in all these years since you weren't a real blizzard was to make a d2r. And at least consider fixing the stupid bugs and memory leaks before bragging that you already have season 2 content. So stupid of you! I give this game 0 points! A far cry from a real Diablo.     Game was covered by an awesome story and animations but once you dig deep itemization sucks which was supposed to be the heart of any arpg game such as Diablo. It’s true that the old Blizzard is dead. Pre-season was decent 6/10 but from there just down the drain. Will not pre order Blizzard games on the foreseeable future.

    my friends were right. I played it for a week or so reached around lvl 80 and deinstalled it. and I will never ever install it again. blizzard is dead for me except for diablo 2 resurrected of course.

    this is the most boring gaming experience I ever had. what is the point of having a full geared character after only a few days? min maxed after a week or two if you are a casual player. whenever an item drops I do not care because whatever? in 1 hour this will drop again anyway. same applies for the endgame why grind boring content when there is no reward or moment of joy finding an item? just no.     The game is absolute trash. No endgame, instantly forgettable story line, battle passes and cosmetic content the only thing that Blizzard is offering to make their pathetic effort interesting.     While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
