    Patch 1.1 ruins all the loots you got, wastes your time to rebuild your skill / paragon if your class still has a visual build (not for barbarian and sorceress). It just simple denied all your play time rewards and tells you get over with it. Good job Blizzard.

    This is the worst game ever made. All they did is copy lost arch and paste diablo 4 characters into the environment .... And gave the player base absolutely NOTHING they wanted. The current version of blizzard has no idea how to produce blizzard games .. They have a brand to sell. This is a sad sad day for gaming :(.

    I have played Diablo since D2 (only skipping D Immortal). This patch (1.1) has to be one of the worst patches Blizzard has ever released for this game. Im perfectly fine with Seasons and starting over each time.

    The absolute nerf bat across the board (even to the worst class in the game - Sorc) will just make this game "unfun". The paltry "buffs" are miniscule.     I have farmed my Barbarian for 150+ hours until 15/7 to 100lv, and the new update validates the death of my passion. All the change is only nerfing, don't even have a buffing for main flow build. And the Blizzard NEVER really "played" this game in my opinion. Blizzard only want to see player suffering, **** YOU!

    No stash space, terrible character customization, boring endgame, boring loot, boring uniques.
    The season 1 content is literally 1 hour of play time but they added boring grinding in between to make it feel longer. Lilith rule 34 is good tho.

    After playing 10 years of league of legends I've never seen a patch which destroys the overall from the game so much like D4 did with only one patch
    The game overall is finde, I had my fun but I thought patches are for quality of life changes and mostly bug fixes but taking out the fun of every aspect of the game? GG blizzard ...

    New char per season is horrible when main audience of your game are older people with jobs. Very few individuals are jobless enough to grind every season, and the game now is even grindier in current state. If you create a new character for the new season and decide to skip campaign, it feels - there's no aim in the game, just do random grinds. It    Made an account just for this.

    I have no idea who the genius is that approved all these season 1 mechanics but they should be fired or placed into another role of responsibility. Blizzard continues with poor implementation and backtracking when met with pushback.     I was a huge fan since diablo 1 and now blizz has apparently ruined another game by patching it into something that's not worth playing anymore. Can we have more viable builds please? it dont want to play 2-3 classes with max 1 build each to be among something that tends to be fun. friggin' disappiontment!

    This could have been a great game. The snails pace play style just kills it. For a loot hunt game, you don’t even know if there is real loot to be found. Class balance is completely busted. This game reminds me of one of those **** cash grab games you find on an iPhone. The campaign I felt was half written and disheartening. Boring boring boring boring and boring. I used to hit between 300 to 600k and now i hit 50 to 200k. Now fights drag out making the fighting and progression slower. They also randomly changed an aspect on my focus.     Buffs, not Nerfs! For crying out loud. Stop taking good things and making them bad. Just to try and make bad things seem better. Keep the good as it is! Build up the bad to make it better, don't tear down the good. I've been playing since Diablo II. I almost deleted my Sorcerer and uninstalled this game. But I have faith that yalls at Blizzard can fix it.

    Played the series since the beginning. Diablo IV just does not have the "Magic".
    Was so looking forward to this. Season 1 did nothing to make me feel better about it.

    Season 1 absolute trash, rewards aren't great and they just nerfed everything and forgot to buff other abilities enough to make a shift in optimal builds. Not gonna bother playing season 1, gonna stick to eternal realm, that is if I'll even find the will to play the game after the update..

They then showed that they had forgotten those lessons with Diablo Immortal. With the launch of D4 there was a glimmer of hope as if Tyrael himself was blessing the launch.     This could have been the game of the year, but with a weak storyline and very poor endgame players feel robbed of their investment.
    Little or no alterations made in the game in the so-promising season, make the game very poor to play, lack of ideas and the so-wanted game changes, makes Diablo the rip-off of the year!

    First Diablo game in my collection and was expecting a new and interesting game where i can play over the summer. However i can assure you that the game did disappoint. Initially the campaign and early stages of the game was fun, but in the late game after world tier three it was more or less farming, and farming to build your characters so that you can farm more efficiently. The loot grind feels bad, with the exception of finding a unique you've been hunting for, I feel nothing about drops ever. Looking through them for specific stats is boring at best, frustrating at worst. Legendary aspects, I appreciate the intent, they feel very bad. I appreciate that they give all kinds of build diversity and flexibility, but it's over complication in a way that feels horrible. Sacred and Ancestral items make it all worse. Magic and white items are literally useless. Bases have no meaning, I don't know why they don't just say "boots" or "gloves" when they drop, because different kinds of boots and gloves have no statistical impact, just cosmetic.

    My second main problem is progression. I can appreciate what they were attempting to correct. In Diablo 3, with dramatic power scaling you get to a point where you basically can't play with your friends. With progression tied to your level, you never feel like you're getting stronger. Every time you level you feel weaker. When I got into Torment I struggled to find reason to keep playing. The grind just wasn't fun. I played thousands of hours of D3, I loved it when it first came out, I loved it in its final form. There was a lot I didn't like but it never felt broken. I've played thousands of hours of D2 and nothing competes for the loot grind. You don't even need end game. Repetitive MFing is a constant dopamine drip. I feel like this game tried to take the best of both games and somehow ruined it all. Still giving it a 3/10 because there are good qualities but appreciate why it's getting 0's because the negatives far outweigh anything positive.    … Expand

In every single other aspect, blizzard has underperformed once again. Once I beat the campaign, I found myself wandering around for anything enjoyable to do, but no matter how hard I looked everything sucked.     I would like to thank the dev team for the season one patch. I was hoping they would remove the fun so I could stop playing so much and they did! Very good job! I really felt like it was too fast paced and had way too much action. Thank you for eliminating the action from your action rpg.     This is a horrid game designed to look like a diablo one, but its complete crap. Bad gameplay, limiting builds, horrible end game, and OC a cash shop. The devs have obviously never played an arpg and it shows. Long gone are the glory days of Blizzard North and this cheap arse activision crap is nothing worth buying.

The development team maximized the feeling of despair: endless walking, endless junk equipment, and endless repetition. I can almost feel and empathize with Elias's emotions.

Leveling to LV100 and farming gears costs hundreds of hours, upgrading item, reroll item specs cost millions of golds. And this patchPatch 1.1 reflects Blizzard’s total disregard and disrespect of player’s time and effort. Players do have a life. They have to go to school or work, look after family and relations, and gaming time is limited and precious to many people including myself. Leveling to LV100 and farming gears costs hundreds of hours, upgrading item, reroll item specs cost millions of golds. And this patch just destroyed the result of hundreds of hours of hard work just because a small percentage of players are lucky enough to get some OP gears and combines with certain class skills to form an OP build, so Blizzard just decided to nerf everyone.
    The patch not only nerfed player’s offence capability, but it also nerfed defence . I can imagine the frustration it brings to hardcore players who cannot afford a single mistake. I had a hardcore monk in Diablo 3, who is still alive today.     Diablo4's end-game content is almost nonexistent, and the leveling experience is painfully slow, lacking any excitement. This game has been released like an unfinished beta version. It's surprising that they consider this is the final product for sale

    This game had so much potential, it breaks my heart to see its state now. The season 1 is in shambles, the recent sorceress class nerfing show how devs have no clue on what's going on.
    The company have clearly zero long term interest in this product.

    I am giving this game a 0 because it is unplayable.

    I only play barbarians but the developers have nothing but disdain for the barbarian class. It is perhaps 1/3 as effective as other classes.

    Even after multiple nerfs and being st the bottom, they nerf the class again by over 50%.

    I wish I could refund my $70.

    Do not buy this game.

    basically a mobile game. id love a refund to be fair. i played about 40 lvls, haven't even killed Lilith. i just cant be bothered. its so very boring. scaling makes it feel like a chore. no item i have gone ooo wow lets goo! the battle pass, not buying it just makes me not want to participate going forward. gj on that. i have 1000s hours on d2,3. so way to kill the game for me.

    I have been playing Diablo since the first. I have generally enjoyed playing these games. I approached DB4 with high expectations and was genuinely satisfied with the game--for the most part. Then the 1st big update came out and ruined it. GG on another fail blizzard.

    What a pathetically boring endgame experience . After you hit 100 that’s about it , and one could easily argue that the game is really over way prior to that . The game should START at 100 , not end . I expected a lot more from the Diablo franchise . Save your money . This game is awful .

    Blizzard talked a lot about balance in the latest update, but in my experience, everything is a lot harder to kill than before and gear drops have been worse. I get one shot at full health which is just a ridiculous mechanic. Overall, I'm having to grind way more for garbage gear and get killed way more often.     - I dont uderstand the MMO aspect of this game because there is nothing to support this
    - I dont like level scaling
    - I preferred separate acts in previous Diablo games
    - Trading basically doesnt exist
    - QoL features in this game are abysmal

Level 70-100 was boring and completely void of milestones. Multiple builds, all strong, and still boring. Starting a new character/class for the season isnt a new concept in the genre, but the early/mid/end game grind just isnt worth it by any measure. There is no 'Pop off' moment in progression. Its such a slow game, it doesnt hit 'Action' in ARPG enough to keep my interest, nor does do RPG well enough to keep me invested or care. Theory crafting and gear feels like a toddlers toy where you match the shapes or colors. I legit need to take a nap after a couple hours of gameplay or grab a coffee or do literally anything else.

    To best sum up gameplay: It feels like a dream a where you're trying to run but instead move very slowly. Fun fights are usually poo'd on by frost CC, it really feels like someone on player 2 controller is unexpectedly tapping the pause button like oldschool nintendo games. The sandbox world they've created is in fact quick sand, and you slowly trudge through the lands whacking stuff with skills that hit either like wet noodles or completely eviscerate your target. Its a game of no middle grounds. YOU are alive or dead, the MONSTERS are alive or dead. You can have fun at times, but its a long sleepy journey between those brief moments.

    Whatever you expect from this game, you will be disappointed. Its not bad enough to be cheesy fun, its not good enough to keep you interested, its not mid enough to be able to put it down and come back and occasionally have fun. RIP Blizzard, this is such a massive fail and I promise, only to myself, to not get my hopes up for anything you guys release moving forward.    … Expand

Why do players have fun, let them run half the dungeon after death to mobs, die dozens of times from endless control, farm nightmarish dungeons with resource burning ... Why fix this? Let's better take armor and damage, and stretch the leveling, because you need to tie players to the game, effective managers said so...

Buff were recently announced that ignore the problems. I spend a lot of time leveling barb to only be nerfed so I cannot complete end game activities like my friends who play other classes and didnt get nerfed.     While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
