    Pay to win garbage. Blizz lost their soul. Very sad because the game had a lot of potential. I dream of the day that Blizz changes this to a real game and not a quick cash grab. They should also fire the people who made the decision to turn such a potentially awesome game into a greedy cash grab.

    The microtransactions are so bad and make the game so trash i actually created an account to give it a zero.
    It will bombard you with cash grabs and they become more and more predatory as you go. Every step of the gameplay it will show you a "pay $XX to get more loot/unlock something/get more currency". Don't support this cash grab and don't listen to the shills justifying "but it is f2p". Everyone that plays this game incentivizes more games like this to be made.
    The monetization is so pushy and so prevalent it overshadows any positive gameplay or graphic aspect Diablo Immortal has.
    Developers should start questioning if their paychecks at Activision are worth selling their souls and implement whatever management tells them without saying anything.    … Expand

    Blizzard f*ck*d me over the second time now. People wouldn't think a huge used to be beloved company, would just resort to quick cash grab games. I got f*ck*d over by Warcraft 3 reforged, a beloved game from my childhood ruined by horrible decisions. Now they did it again, but now its Diablo getting the shaft. I lost all hope in Diablo 4 or any other blizzard game really.

    Looks and plays like any other mobile MMO with a client for PC (e.g. Albion). Except the client is a bit janky, specifically when you try to click an ally to revive them.

Primal behavior and a lack of self control has created Blizzards newest money lust venture. I saw a guy spend $4000 dollars and not get one 5 star gem. The only Diablo here is greed.     I played to lvl 35 to try the game. I played on the PC client. The optimization was sub par at best, it felt like a mobile game. Cant change resolution, no real graphic settings for something supposedly made for PC.
    As for gameplay, its a average to bad diablo experience. Id much rather play diablo 3 or diablo 2 resurrection.     None of this matters when the pay to win is taken into consideration. 1/2000 chance to get a 5 star gem from something you get once a month from playing. This game does not want free to play players to do well. The divide between free to play and pay to win players will widen as money is synced into the game. If a game's claim to fame is 100k US for a max char, i don't want to play it and i don't want to be part of a community that supports it.    … Expand

    Legendary Crests for example are used to open a rift that you clear for a chance to obtain upgrade materials. This chest at the end of the rift is a loot box. Loot boxes contain no guaranteed items, meaning you are spending money on the chance to get the desired items. This structure parallels gambling. It could also easily be described as a gacha game.

    Despite the positives that this game does have; (Gameplay, Boss design, cross platform, controller support, and more) I would tell my family and friends to NEVER spend their valuable time and money on this.    … Expand

    To be honest game had so much potential but they made it to milk the "Diablo" brand. I had some hopes when they first announced it. But thanks to cooperation with Net Ease they made the game to take your money as possible as it gets. As game play i think this game is not good for PC it is more phone oriented. I didn't get the same taste as D3. Something feels off, weird.

    Nothing new from the gameplay perspective for a Diablo game. No skill tree, just a selection of 4 skills amongst 10ish. The combat is not very challenging.
    * Endgame content is just grinding the same 3 variations of zones over and over.
    * The user interface on PC is bad, you will find yourself accidentally clicking on UI buttons while in combat.     * Monetization is very aggressive, there are very few rewards to earn as a free player, progressing will take a lot of luck and months of gameplay. Whereas going the pay route, you will earn months of free progress is 5 minutes. At a low cost of $25. Per 5 minutes. The only time your character feels strong is at the lower levels. Later on, the game will scale the mobs to you and they will always be a chore to kill, even the normal ones, even after spending $10k+ on the game. Upgrades are not rewarding, you don't kill faster. Gacha games are less monetized than this.

It would take years to overcome what MTX can get you almost instantly. I enjoy the game but the higher you go the worse it gets. There are lots of bugs making it hard to play at times. Every session I have to restart 3-4Its a fun game to play even on PC. The downside is the MTX that they push you into to overcome the "humps".     Fix the legendary gem monetization and this game is perfect. All other pay systems(Battle Pass, etc) are fine in this game but the legendary gems need some rethinking.

    You take the runes and the depths out of the gameplay.
    You add micro-payments galore. And almost mandatory (especially if you want to be competitive since P2W)

But the pay to win aspect of the game alienates serious players that like to work at the games they play. It destroys any real competitiveness of PvP.     After reaching the endgame and experiencing what this game has to offer, I can honestly say that this could have been a decent diablo. But with pvp being such a prevalent aspect, the incredible advantage of the pay to win is directly in your face. It has created an experience that just feels bad. Would not recommend.

    This is not a game. It's just donate-trash. Don't play this. No kidding. They took Diablo 3, removed everything that was too complicated for people over 4 years old and attached the need for monetization for PvP. No fundamentally new ideas, no fun like in the old days.

    The only plus is that the girls here are pretty, not as ugly as in the remake.

Its Pay2Win and its the worst take of Pay2Win, using alot of psychologie tricks to get you into spending money. The worst part? There Main System to spent money (the crests) is a Hidden Lootbox mechanic, so even if you spent 100€ or more you most likely will feel scammed and be ripped off.     Huge Disappointment. Blizzard shows it’s true colors preying on wallets of its loyal fan base. Gameplay isn’t terrible however in order to max out characters you’re more likely to spend thousands to do so.

    In a sea of pseudo-videogames that is mobile gaming, you know, with all its this-is-not-really-a-game-but-software-designed-to-take-your-money-through-abusing-your-addiction-and-dopamine-circuits games, and this-is-not-really-a-game-we-just-use-this-app-for-money-laundering games, which make up 99.9% of all mobile gaming, Blizzard adds their own.

    When I was a kid I was absolutely fascinated with Diablo, and then Diablo Hellfire. My cousins and I played the crap out of it for years.
    Later, when Diablo II came out, we went crazy for it. We spent years worth of christmas, easter, and birthday money to buy a new monitor, as Diablo II did not run with our 640*480 devices.
    With Diablo 3 we had our fair share of fun.
    So naturally, we really tried to love Diablo Immortal, but it's a child not even its mother could love.

    There are many stakes in this game's coffin which alone would be enough to allow us to call this game a steaming pile of putrid garbage.

    -Pay 2 Win
    As a free to play player you'll be sooooooo much behind in player power that it is just crazy.
    Even compared to people paying just a hundred or so bucks, you'll be behind.
    But find solace in the fact that if you keep playing, as a free to play player, eventually your hard effort and skill will bear fruits... and after a long line of account inheritance, once even your memory is gone, your great-grandkids will be able to mostly max out the stats they gain from legendary gems. As it literally takes 40-80 years of F2P to get close to maxing out your legendary gems.
    If you are a whale, I hope you are a fat one, as you'll be swiping hundreds of thousands of dollars - literally - to achieve that.
    The main P2W feature is Legendary Crests. 100 EUR will buy you 45. 1 week of farming as a free to play player will get you 2. Basically, you are buying dozens of hours of farming which is capped to 2 items per week for around 2 EUR. You are an idiot if you do not use your credit card and decide to toil for the rewards instead. But then again, you are an idiot if you consider paying for ingame power a worthy hobby to have.
    The legendary crests have the following drop rate for legendary gems:
    2/5 star: 3.75%
    3/5 star: 1%
    4/5 star: 0.2%
    5/5 star: 0.05%
    So to get JUST ONE 5/5 star gem you'll need to get around 2000 gems and pay roughly 5000 EUR.
    BUT WAIT, there are multiple types of gems, and most gems will not be suitable for your class / build.
    There are 6 legendary gem slots.
    So in the end it will cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars to deck out your character in max level gems.
    Lets say that as a F2P player you'll get 100 legendary crests per year. It will take you around 20 years of diligent farming to get a single random 5/5* legendary gem, and hundreds of years of farming to get all the 5/5* gems you want!
    The difference between people with 5/5 star legendary gems and F2p legendary gems is NIGHT AND DAY, and these gems not only give you a huge bonus from their extra abilities, but they also give you a huge % bonus for your equipment's stats.

    -Time gate
    Rewards are very time-gated.
    There is a limit put on most of the things you can do.
    And WHEN you can do it. E.g., some bosses only spawn at a specific hour on a week.
    You also need to do daily chores, and if you miss out on them you feel bad.

    -Not much to do
    There is just not much to do in the game, really. To go from lvl 56 to 60, I had to run, I don't know, 30 Leoric runs (and not something else, because Leoric had the weekly bonus extra drops).
    Rifts have been through the un-funinator machine. They SUCK in Immortal.
    Weekly boss raids are painful and take hours, as people just keep missing mechanics. Enjoy wiping dozens of times, because people just can't learn simple mechanics. Imagine heroic WoW raid difficulty with LFR people.

    -Awful cash shop
    Let us ignore the P2W aspect of the cash shop for a moment. If we do, we get a pretty much empty, boring cash shop with 3-4 not so good looking skins for your character and nothing worth mentioning.

    -Awful questing experience
    Most of the time you spent questing will be on quests like: "Reach lvl 56", "Reach lvl 60". Yes, "level up 4 times" are actual quests in the game. In 2022.
    The quests are boring, the story is meh, characters are completely forgettable.

    -The world is TINY
    If you are claustrophobic then do not even install this game.
    This is super tiny for an MMO, and super tiny for even a Diablo / ARPG game. There is not much distinction between zones either. -Monster diversity should be higher There are 38 types of "common enemies" in the game.     This is not a game, it is psychological warfare. Starts out fair on lower levels to hook you in, then they start pulling every trick in the book to convince you to spend money for nothing in return. Lots of attempts to make you build habits around logging in to the game. One would assume that there were more psychologists working on the game than there were gameplay programmers and designers.

    While it’s not as polished as it’s mobile version the PC version is just as good, could use some improvements to controls and HDR support but it’s in beta so expected.

    Poor quality, glitchy, gimmicky, pay to win. Feels like I am playing candy crush with skulls vs sweets. I hope this is not a sign of things to come from Activision Blizzard.

    The gamelay is fine although it is pretty much just a barebone version of D3, The PC port is horrific especially if you use a controller the menus are unusable and of course the pay 2 win is predatory and disgusting steer clear let's make a proper statement that games like this won't slide anymore!

    Great portals have turned into pay to win, and it's not a fact that you will get what you want.
    Without a donation it's Diablo, but with a donation it's a casino.

    This game is so jam-packet with micro transactions, that it somehow puts anything EA has ever put out to shame. It feels like a lot of effort went into the general game play. Some thing goes for the visuals. And this is were my praise for this end.

    For one the game turns into a massive grind-fest were you are forced to pay up to have a minuscule chance in PVP. Diablo Immortal is a horrible case of P2W. If you are on PC just play POE, if you are on mobile just avoid this.

    If you want the game-industry to stop with this horrible practices, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PRODUCT.

    If you play just campaign, and delete this game, it will be smth like 6/10 (with all those bugs, cheaters, and bad PC port, but still playable and even fun at some moments, even though it's just a lite version of Diablo 3 + a bit new ideas)

    The game on pc is vomiting, the phone game is better but don't see how it consumes battery and heats up mobile phones (POCO F3), pay to win better, let's not even talk about it, anyway, don't waste resources on making these games, fix it wow, diablo 4, overwatch, starcraft and focus on what you know how to do.

That said I gave it a fair chance, both on mobile and PC (sort of beta at time of writing). I wanted to have a new, novel, and portable Diablo experience.

    I would have happily eaten my words if Blizzard had proved me wrong. But this was    I was solidly in the 'off season April fools joke' crowd from the start. I'll be honest and admit I was heavily biased against DI before it was released. That said I gave it a fair chance, both on mobile and PC (sort of beta at time of writing). I wanted to have a new, novel, and portable Diablo experience.

    I would have happily eaten my words if Blizzard had proved me wrong. But this was not to be. I would have expected this from a shovelware studio. More akin to a bad reskinned asset flip job. Go look up NetEase's previous title: "Endless of God". Wyatt said 'built from the ground up'. That was apparently not exactly 100% honest. The voiceovers are done well. The story is solidly good Blizzard-quality work. The look and feel of the universe is definitely DII or DIII astethics.

    But that's where the positive ends. Crappy UI/UX. Garbage navigation system. The MMO aspect feels tacked on and doesn't serve the greater game in any useful way. And the obvious elephant in the room: not-so-micro microtransactions. This alone should be enough to shelve the game for good. I don't mind paying for a game. It's not cheap to run a studio of that size. Assets are expensive. Voice work is time consuming. High quality graphics don't come from shutterstock. I completely expect to pay for the experience. 50? 60? 70? 80? Sure. Come up with a fair number. And then sell me a feature complete game. But this whale hunting nonsense* should be the domain of naked cash grabs from crappy mobile games. Netease, for sure. But not Acti/Blizz. (*the strongest word I can use here)

    I used to root for Blizzard. They were what you expected from a quality, professional, AAA studio. Now I'm rooting for their collapse. Hopefully someone else better qualified to do the job can buy the IP and pick up the mantle.    … Expand

    Diablo Immortal is a simplified and more accessible version of the series that can still provide hours of mindless fun and entertainment. Sadly, the games suffers in the long run because of all the tedious grinding and the greedy monetization system, making a game experience that starts as very enjoyable much less so as time goes on.

    Diablo Immortal seems like a project created with the sole purpose of using the good name of Diablo to rub the players of their money. Definitely one of the worst games ever came out of Blizzard.
