    I love CS! Of all the fps games out there, and all the mods of half-life, I think CS most closely resembles a multi-level chess game experience (even if most players dont know it). People can win by using teamwork, developing their own skills, or by learning their opponents. So many ways to play the game... its great!

    Wow, this is a great game! I've played 30 hrs of it - source is just one of the best shooters out! Amazing gameplay, superb graphics- anybody who rated it low is ridiculous, shooting through stone walls (another review commented on this) is ridiculous. One of the best games of our era.

    Amazing game. The funnest out there and in my humble opinion better than its predecessor. The maps, guns, models and gameplay are amazing and its fanbase is unmatched by any fps game on the market today. Original Counter Strike lovers beware... due to hit boxs and sleeker forms this game takes more skill then the original.

    A must have game for anyone who enjoys an fps. No lan party would be complete without this game. It is, however, highly competitive and "noobs" have to practice a lot to keep up with the competition, and avoid awpers (such as myself) to survive...

    I have played cs 1.6 and the sparks looked like the game was meant for 7 or 8 year olds while css delivers to a wider range of age groups and gamers. I love this game more than anyother including F.E.A.R. and Half Life 2. If you are a hardcore gamer who likes strategy 1st person shooters you will love this too!!

    p.s. one major flaw i.e. AWP!!!!

    Its a great game..Love it..Only one flaw...I hate the fact that the AWP shoots perfectly straight no matter what--i mean you can jump around a corner and while doing it shoot somebody in the head..Its just lame...Other then that its PERFECT.

    it is the best game ever. graphics are great. its has the same feel of cs 1.6 cause it is almost exactly the same just looks better and has become more real.the only reason why not alot of games have purchesed it i believe is because it requires a super gameing pc. (i had to oc my vid card in order to be able to play it in its full glory)

    i loved the cs 1.6 but cs source is so much better gamers get ready for some hard core cs this is the game u want to get lol its off the hook.

    i have always thought this game was amazing. i bought halflife two a year and a half ago and i played hl2 and i still play CS:S. there is not a moment in the day in which i dont think of this game...people say i need a new life... but i say they need to buy HL2.

    This is a terrible remake and has lost the CS feel, it is just like any another FPS now. When will people learn it takes more that eye candy and realism to make a great game. There are significantly less people playing source than the original. Enough said.

    The graphics improvement from Counter Strike: Condition Zero to Source is amazing. It's almost much more realistic. Anyone with Condition Zero needs to uprgrade to Source.

    I first started playing this game about.... 20 hours ago. I was at a LAN party that lasted from 6 pm to 8 am, and I have to say, I was hooked after the first round. Great graphics, endless gameplay, I easily didnt feel tired until about noon because the game was so entertaining. Anybody who loved the original Counter Strike absolutely needs this game. Almost anybody who loves games of thisI first started playing this game about.... 20 hours ago.     Excellent game, great graphics, but not much improvement from counterstrike 1.6 blood is lame and unrealistic.

    Probly the best game i've ever played so far, but i probly won't find anything better. The shooting as almost as real as it possibly could be and the textures you can't complain about. It's an overall great game. I bet you $50 (not for real) that once you play this for 7 days even less you won't be able to get off it for another 12 months AT LEAST.

    The best multiplayer game I have played. Excellent graphics, fun mods, best for LAN partys. NO OTHER TEAM BASED MULTIPLAYER GAME is better than this.

    great game, never gets old. Just keeps building through the community. Got to love it or hate it kinda of game, if you love FPS online this is a great game for you. This allows great graphics without losing your performance with your lower end computers.

    Great remake of the most addictive FPS, Counter Strike. cs:source is really just an amazing game to play. the source engine is a great piece of work.

    The definitive online FPS. Just the right blend of skill and tactics, with great visuals. If you're new to it, the amount of amazingly-skilled players can be off-putting, but the maps are small enough to learn quickly, so stick with it and you'll be headshotting with the AWP in no time.

    well, this IS the best game ever: the grapics are supirior, so is the gameplay (not like in that wicked WW2 game, i will not name any names) it's real, you can buy your weapon for the money you earn by killing, thats oneof the btter part. weapons that fly around in the map, rigghhht...

    I read it maybe the best game of 2005 year and it was the second most popular game played in the world, so I bought it. It's the beautifulest game I never played, with a fantastic physic engine [Havok] and graphic engine [Source]. BUT I'm disappointed because Counter-Strike : Source is just a copy of CS 1.6, with better graphics; there's some news maps, but nothing really change.

    An ok game, a above average shooter, but since they removed all of the things like being able to shoot through walls, made every gun accurate and basically made it even more simple than it was, it lost "counter-strike" somewhere and became "CT vs T shooter". The extra physics are pointless (like the barrels that you "bounce" off) should be removed as they are pointless and just slow thingsAn ok game, a above average shooter, but since they removed all of the things like being able to shoot through walls, made every gun accurate and basically made it even more simple than it was, it lost "counter-strike" somewhere and became "CT vs T shooter". The extra physics are pointless (like the barrels that you "bounce" off) should be removed as they are pointless and just slow things down. ALso, the maps made of "glass" were in CS1.6 so you don't nede source to play them!. Still gets points for being a ok generic shooter… Expand

    This game is great. It's the more improved game of the origional Counter Strike game. It combines the great shooting with strategy. There are new maps that are just made of glass that provide extra fun. I strongly suggest buying this game if you love shooting terrorists!

    The Source engine is the best engine of the world. In addition, it can be upgraded and never let the players down. New maps, bugfixes, more and more extras... who wants more?

    I've grown up with this game,and as a girl I must say it's the best game I ever played,the cool part is the team concept.Great job Valve and keep on the good work,I hope my kids will get to play it too.

    There is much fun to had here.CS-Source has changed gameplay online forever and never gets boring. I recommend this game to those who love fps games.

    Great game, lots of fun, I've racked up about a week's play time since christmas. Three gripes, autosnipers are cheap, some people kill u in two shots w/out headshots (don't ask how), death often comes far too quickly. One wrong step and ur dead. Learning curve is very steep.

    this game is the best every better then halo2 and the rest same as half life 2 it better that halo 2 halo 2 was ok offline but online it was the worst game yet
    it albout the counter strike soruce now forget enygame yet if u not got it go and FUCKING BUY IT CUZ U WILL LOVE IT CS AND HL2 FAN FOREVERY :p

    If anything, this game remake was a waste of time (my opinion). They only took some maps and remade them, some phisics changes, graphical improvements, ect. Nothing to be excited about. And they expect you to pay alot of money for something anyone could have made themselves as a simple free download modification. Besides that, I still give it points for catching media and public interest.

    Valve has done a sterling job of moving a flagship franchise over to a new engine. Whilst the gameplay guts come over correct and intact, (which may disappoint some), Counter-Strike: Source is an even more engrossing and captivating experience, capable of sapping hours of your time, and even the worst "1337 g33zers" abusing voice chat can't spoil the fun you'll have with it.

    Counter-Strike: Source is, once you've gained a knack for it, the most consistently rewarding and surprising team-based shoot-'em-up available on the PC today. It's been dressed up nicely for its relaunch in 2004, but it wasn't broken, and Valve hasn't fixed it.
