    Easily the greatest game ever made, I never stop playing it. I played this before I played 1.6, so I missed out on the whole "1.6 die-hard" phase. Whenever I do play 1.6, though, it does not compare to the graphics and style of Source. 10/10 for sure.

    This game is an update of the older 1.6 counter strike. And it's basically CounterStrike 1.6, only better graphics:) Buy it!

    This is one of the worst games ever, partly because all it is is the original Counter Strike with better graphics and less maps. Another flaw is that on almost every server in my experience there have been abusive idiots that have said some offensive comments just for using autosnipers and magnum sniper rifles.

    this is a visualy stuning game, half life 2 graphics, it is the best online game out there. this game has the best mods, like warcraft 3 mod, which is very cool! look it up! anyway this is a game that is worth buying!

    Counter strike: Source is the best game i've played on because of the graphics and everything else but the thing it that you get so .. addicted to it like cocaine apart from most of us don't take it (JOKE) but it is still the best and thats why i like it

    C:SS is probably the best game out at the moment. It isn't singularly because of the graphics, or the physics, or the levels it is the compilation of these into one great big SUPER COOL GAME! Nothing beats it!

    I am rather displeased with the negative comments. Of cource the game got updated. Whad did you expect? And for the graphics being on the lowest settings it still looks much better than 1.6 on the highest. And no, the guns are not perfectly accurate, and no the weapons are not unblanced. But guess what! It will always be a CT v T shooter, its the point of the game, its been the point I am rather displeased with the negative comments. Of cource the game got updated.     Just dosent deliver enough excitement. Also dosent lan as well as i would like. DOD is much better in both aspects.

    The first FPS I ever played was Doom when I was like 6 or something. CS:S is the second one I've played and it is the BEST.

    It's very good.Graphic from the source engine is phantistic but CSS has a worse gameplay then 1.6.And CS1.6 is the only one.Its the most playing game on steam and thats is the reason why i give CSS only 8.

    good as game.i been playing cs since 1.5 was out and i have to say that source is the shit. this is the best game in the world and u will never get tired of it cause if u good u will like to own newbs.

    Can't help myself just need to keep playing - i'm no good just love it like a drug! Get withdrawl when on holiday now. Might as well write the rest of my life off. Not long in my case as over 40 now!

    The description of the game says 32 player, its really 64 player. Great community of players and maps to play. More than worth the money!

    Awesome game, only bad thing is getting pushed by a plastic bucket when you try to walk over it... Apart from that, its quite fun!

    This game is uber dank. Your other obligations in life will suffer because of this game. Its a shame that Steam takes over your comp. Oh well.

    Great graphics, gameplay was lost from CS 1.6, the more upgrades the worse the game seems to get... Sort the hitboxes and make it harder to use AWP/Scout etc and it could be 9/10.

    Probably one of the best games I have ever played in my life. When I thought cs 1.6 was the bomb, I was wrong! The only problem is that you need a pretty fast computer luckly mine is good enough to play it. Nice work valve

    I have played over 500 hour of Counter Strike Source in the last 8 months which is about 4 times as much as I have played any other game. Probably the best online FPS shooter that is out today.

CS:S is a port and nothing more and still suffers from that same problems of hackers/scriptkiddies as well as unbalanced weapons. I wasn't a fan of cs before the port but now its just a joke.     Amazingly fun, hooked on this crack strike for years...and what a huge improvement on CS 1.6! I'm glad Valve went with the motto "If there is nothing wrong with it, why fix it?" and all they did was improve on what was already great game play. I do wish they would bring back the arabs map though, that map was a blast! hahaha

    No WORDS can describe this superb game, much better than cs 1.6, you'll just play it four hours and hours until you can't more, just play it and see for yourself!! a pitty though the VAC cant be more punishing for those o just play it "withot the normal rules" you know what i mean (Xeaters)!!!!

    I agree that its a great game, but it would have been greater if it didnt demand so much from your computer. With that i mean that you almost have to buy an "High-End computer" so be satisfied enough. I still enjoy CS 1.6 as much as i did about 4 years ago or so. But they both are great games.     This game is just fuckin bitchin to the fulliest i mean you have to get the hang off it but it is great it's rad when you get to the point when you just own dude's then you have oppertunity's to move up in the game skill wise plus be in a community

    One of the best damn games i hav ever played the only game topping it was oblivion and that was only because of the graphics but Sorce is an awsome game topping almost every game i hav ever played i love it because of the realism of the recoil and OH GOD I JUST LOVE THIS GAME

    Counter-Strike:Source is the best multiplayer-shooter I've ever played... a large amount of weapons and equipment, all with different qualities and features. I've played ca. 500h CS:S now and I haven't played enough hours yet.... Max (Germany)

    It's just a amazingly improved version of CS. Smoother gameplay, more realism and great graphics! Of course you need better hardware for it than for CS 1.6, but every middle-class-PC is sufficient by now.

    I like it. probably not one of the best games when it comes to the aim and fire part. Hits that create blood on your opositios face are often ignored by the game. As well as a few other minor factors with hit registry. The Tactical sheild is gone so prepare to get awped on ofice. Custom maps got better with the port ( i sudgest finding "the matrix" it was a fun DE map) the new maps Port is huge and hard to get around. alot of the weapons lost some of their acuracy while others gained it. All of these flaws aside though, the game is a fine port. only worth the twenty bucks if you dont want to buy the older versions. Me and my sister play it all the time. i give it an average score for an average game.… Expand

    Very awesome shooter. It's fast and straight to the point,,,bomb or be killed. If you plan on being a one man wrecking crew,,,,forget it ,,,,without team work you won't win.

    Counter-Strike: Source has been the reason for many a late night, as well as *every* single LAN becoming a "no shut eye" event! It is gripping round after round, map after map. With the added soundeffects and realistic body slumping, this game can only make you smile!

    Counter-Strike Source is the best cs game ever made but u loos the funny feeling when u and ure guys r playing for fun.
    Its almost to realistic 1.6 is crap grafics but its fun though.
    And I miss the shield :P and a couple of new weapons too.

    Valve has done a sterling job of moving a flagship franchise over to a new engine. Whilst the gameplay guts come over correct and intact, (which may disappoint some), Counter-Strike: Source is an even more engrossing and captivating experience, capable of sapping hours of your time, and even the worst "1337 g33zers" abusing voice chat can't spoil the fun you'll have with it.

    Counter-Strike: Source is, once you've gained a knack for it, the most consistently rewarding and surprising team-based shoot-'em-up available on the PC today. It's been dressed up nicely for its relaunch in 2004, but it wasn't broken, and Valve hasn't fixed it.
