    This game is nice :D.. I like the graphics and i think you should not blame the source engine. This engine works well in games as HL2 DM so why won't it here? I like the many maps, mods, and especially the many n44bs there are to be pwned xD

    never before has a game been as addictive, and reliant on tactical, strategical, and twitch play as this game is. it truly blends all forms of skill needed to be an excellent gamer. this game is the acid test.

    An incredible game, i must admit. It has great graphics and the source engine is probably one of the best i've seen for an fps. You can expect alot from this game.

    Great FPS. Awesome graphics with awesome maps and loads of custom maps. The game itself has so many different types of gameplay it's nuts. Can keep you occupied for years. Works on almost any computer too, with the amazing hardware scaling it has. 10/10 is clear.

    The best game ever incredible graphics physic's and realistic palyer damage. if you get board of one level just change to another there are thousands of maps happy gaming.

    Great FPS for anyone who likes them. The game has enough maps to keep you playing for hours. Also if you dont like the server your on the is a lot more if you want to change. I have recomended this to lots of my friends and there all hooked.

    amazing game. played it for months and months. fav maps are office, cbble, italy, and dust 2. my only complaint is that awps are incredibly lame. they are easy to use, promote camping, and over used.

    One of the best games ever! The only thing negative in this games are the cheaters, they destroy all the pleasure that can be given in this specific game, however I have to play it, its just vicious.

    One of the best online multiplayer games. But sometimes the gameplay is very terrible. The Funfactor is at the beginning very well. After some houres it will be bader.

    Awsome FPS. Any true FPS fan already owns this game. the game never gets old. i have been playing counter-strike before CS:S... before CS retail.. try 3 -4 years before CS Retail appered in stores. back when it was done by people who created it in there spare time for free and loved what they were doing. CS:S today is better then ever. realism freaks be damed.

    Very fun, but with little replay value, I've been playing for 4 years, and it is lacking new weapons, and maps. And most importantly... de_dust is EXTREMELY OVERPLAYED. awp annoying as well. But when its new; amazingly fun and dangerously addicting.

    People that complain about crappy frames should get a better comp. When this game first came out I was averaging 60, which is decent. Now I average around 100 and I have never really experienced any lag other then crappy servers.

    Only thing that keeps it from a 10 in my book is it is pretty much just a port with nicer graphics. We need more new stuff. I still love it though.

    This game is really good, I played it more than 300 hours, but when you don't train every day, you'll become a sucker, everyone can shoot you without problems and if you're sometimes angry... don't play this! The hitboxes are usually wrong, at least the graphics are great counterweight to the bugs... 8points enough to score this awsome game :-)

    One of the best 3 online FPS game. It's a 10. Battelfield 2 is another one. Day of Defeat or Call of Duty 2 a third.

    I have played CS since beta 1. I just started playing CS:S the first of 2006 and I love it! We now have 3 servers up and running. One for standard maps, one for new maps, and one specialty server which is running different versions of Dust.

    It's an overal good game, but unrealistic because the hitbox is in my opinion calibrated wrong. Other than that, everything else is very good.

    To anyone that has played 1.6 they will know this "new" update has basically slapped a load of sugar on and not really fixed any of the problems it had before. Graphics over Gameplay dosent work online..it looks pretty but the gameplay is still bugged. Valve, dont do an Electronic Arts on use and just churn crap out that looks good but plays crap..     I found that if you aim at the guys knees and unload the whole clip while you pull down on the mouse, you get lots of headshots. Loelz.

    this game is a revolutionary game, whereas other games people stop playing after 10-15 hours this one people have been playing for years. the trick is finding a good server, because there is alot of assholes in this game.

    only five because it s a nice game with a new and great gaming experience but there are more bugs of map with fps shutting down and lot of problems with hitboxs and sometimes you finished to prefer going out.

    this game is great i cant wait to play on as soon as i come in from work and its very addictive to become one of the best of the gaming world and this game has both excellent graphics and game play. sounds great and plays even better.

    Since cheating is inevitable, I'd rather they used client side hit detection rather than the ugly server side hit detection. The physics are so unrealistic that they should either remove them or remove the physical interaction of pointless/useless objects. A perfessional chracter modeler can usually finish a character within 2 days.     I have been playing a long time and it is a great game. The only problem with the game is the gaming community. Pretty bad with rude people playing all the time, not to mention hackers. You have hackers in every game you play, css is just one of those that has alot.

    I love this game. It's especially fun when you have a couple of friends you know that play with you or even in a clan. The graphics look good for an online fps and is very addicting.

    I give Counter-Strike: Source a 10 for gameplay and graphics. However, as with all multiplayer games, the players aren't always the best (personality-wise). The Steam interface isn't so bad, except CS needs a better Linux port. Well worth the money, have fun fragging!

Weapon accuracy sux ass summit rotten for a start... but when ya get the hang of it it becomes... acceptable. nice graphics, nice feel to the engine although HDR is a pointless waste of fps in my opinion. Hit boxes really REALLY blow, way to laggy. valve need to do summit with ther anti cheat software too... uber h4xz0rz Been playin bout 18 months now, not a bad game not fantastic either.     This game is such an improvement over 1.6, the physics and graphics are much better than that of its predissesor. There are some new maps too which will keep you busy for hours.

All the original 1.6 people that wine "waaa! the hitboxes are messed up", "omg! the recoil is bad" etc. Are not very clever, if you test the two on both games, you can find they have as bad hitboxes as each other and the recoil is the same almost. Also people that say it's full of idiots that complain about AWP and Auto This game is fantastic. Just like 1.6, but with better graphics.     This is the best online gaming after Counter-Strike it all the conversion was greatly and perfectly made, the graphics are Realy greater than every other online game in 2006, so Source made a great part of it. it sure the most nice online game ever made.

    I used to play the CS 1.6, but after a major problem in my pc, I had to reformat, and just after that I realized I had lost my cd-key.
    Went down to a mall and after complaining a lot abou the key, the guy at the store placed me to play this. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
    You can't go back to 1.6 after this one!!
    Better graphics, better game play, valve physics are amazing!!!

    Whoever says it lost the origional feel is themselves lost, it improves on everything 1.6 was and got rid of the biggest flaw in the game the riot sheild. System requirements are adequate if not low for teh visuals and can be ajusted to suit computers from 7 years ago. Great gameplay, still modern graphics and ORIGIONAL cs feel.

    I gave it a 10 cuz Valve releasing updates for game and engine, so it greats than with cs1.6. Game have big potential. Ppl what u want?? The same game?? For me it beter than cs1.6 cuz its more hardcore and need more experience.

    This game is so close to being so good, I dont understand the lack of follow up. First off, little things on the ground shouldnt incapacitate me from walking over them, and secondly if 1 shot to the head kills you, whats the point in buying a helmet for an extra 400 bucks?     Valve has done a sterling job of moving a flagship franchise over to a new engine. Whilst the gameplay guts come over correct and intact, (which may disappoint some), Counter-Strike: Source is an even more engrossing and captivating experience, capable of sapping hours of your time, and even the worst "1337 g33zers" abusing voice chat can't spoil the fun you'll have with it.

    Counter-Strike: Source is, once you've gained a knack for it, the most consistently rewarding and surprising team-based shoot-'em-up available on the PC today. It's been dressed up nicely for its relaunch in 2004, but it wasn't broken, and Valve hasn't fixed it.
