    i thought after MW3, ghosts could only be an improvement, i was wrong, so wrong, the spawns are worse, the maps are worse, the netcode is worse, the optimization is therees just oo much wrong with this game. it has a couple of decent feattures, but none enough to make it more then a 2. I dont know how you did it infinity ward, you manged to make a game worse then MW3.

    Surelly its the worst game from the call of duty series, it is just crappy. Dont deserve even a pinny. I cant describe how frustrating it is, basically i have played all the call of duty series, some very good, others more or less, but this one has surelly ended the series. Very heavyy, bad graphics, single-player bad made, etc!! BATTLEFIELD 4 is much more fun

    This game offered NOTHING. Terrible performance! Some People are getting 40 FPS on a GTX TITAN! This is a step back from Black Ops 2. Black Ops 2 even had better graphics. This game makes me feel literally SICK, there is no field of view slider at all. My head literally hurts when I play this pathetic excuse of a game. There is no reason to waste your time or money on this game. DO NOT BUY.

    Man Ghosts on the PC is so bad!!! Multiplayer graphics are junk. Gameplay is worse than BO2. Gun sounds are cartoonish. The game overall is worse than BO2. Id give it a negative score if i could. My biggest problem is with the graphics tho, just appalling. Im using my pre-order bonus Ghosts bandanna to wipe my arse with!

    I could list all the faults but it's simply not fit for purpose. FPS artificially capped, FOV limited to a ridiculously tiny setting, poor performance on high end systems, sloppy map design, poor gameplay but they all pale into insignificance compared to the fact it's quite simply a really poor game. A game is something to be enjoyed, invoke excitement and something to leave you wanting more. This is anything but that.

The graphics are no better than the previous COD games, but the performance is 3x worse. It lags and stutters even the lobby. There is no FOV slider or anyway to uncap the FPS (capped at 90).     Overall game play has a cheap feel to it and I must say this has to be the worst COD on PC to date.
    When looking at the player models running around it looks so much of what you would see on a console.

    A step backwards in my opinion. I loved Mw2, Mw3, BO, and BO2. Great multiplayer and it felt so much fun! However, the mechanics in this game feel really wierd. I'm still beasting people in lobbies, but its just not fun really. The streaks are not that great. Almost every just gets satcom and dogs cause their easy to pick up. Also dogs are a little overpowered in terms of health.

    My review is for multi player only, I really didn't want to believe all of the negative reviews but god this game is bad. The biggest problem is the spawning into mayhem constantly. Also every map is a battle dome, i just remember MW2 where at least teams fought for positions on the map, where in this game there is just no way for that to happen.     Graphics look nice, only if you max out all the settings. There's no in-game option to change field of view, there are mods available but there is uncertainty at the moment whether they are allowed without punishment/ban. All you get for audio options is a level bar to increase or decrease volume. Unlike BO1 & BO2 where you have different audio presets, and can even lower down the volume of annoying voice overs and music.
    As I said, this is the same gameplay as the previous games, whether they were IW or Treyarch, and I still have fun with that. So why such a low score? Well, I suppose this might not be IW fault completely, but there is weak PC community for this game. On average, there are 8K players online, sometimes 18K, and 30K on a rare sunny day. I honestly don't know if those are average numbers for a call of duty game on PC, being that it is my first one on PC. Without dedicated servers, and the previous 6GB RAM requirement (now patched to 4GB), people probably decided to pass on this or just decided to move on to consoles (which average +400K players online), sadly. Cannot recommend at the moment, if ever, I would suggest wait till steam itself has a free to play weekend, maybe by then there will be more players.    … Expand

    God awful PC port. Multi-player is nothing new. Single-player is the same OVER-THE-TOP story. If the this is Call of Duty's ''Next Gen'' game, then Battlefield has nothing to worry about. Don't waste your time with this game, especially the PC version.

This has burned me on Activision for the last time. $60 for a game that has horrible graphics stutter, insane lag compensation, NO ANTI-CHEAT, and random crashes. On top of that, they are already marketing buying their expansion IN GAME, not even in the least bit concerned with the user outcry. Everything about this game was copy and paste, butOne of the WORST games I have EVER played. I have been Call of Duty fan since it first came out in 2003, it was kind of sad to see the newest editions are just stupid.     The game on PC is utterly abysmal. It runs like garbage for having such incredibly poor texture quality, even with maxing out at the highest of settings. The outrageously high amount of data needed for install boggles me with how poor the game runs. I tried getting my money back but unfortunately, Activision doesn't see things my way... I'm not surprised.

    The most terrible game i've played the last 2 decades. Game is stuttering all over the place on both low and high video settings, buggy textures, the most ridiculous guns from which it doesn't even matter where or when or how you shoot. You kill things in 2 hits, if you shoot in the arm, leg, stomach or chest nothing will make any difference.

    I was excited to get this game and play it as I am a huge fan of the COD series. This one was such a disappointment. You die much too fast, there are FPS drops everywhere, and there just seems to be a distinct lack of polish. It is blatantly obvious that this was a straight port, especially in the Extinction game mode. Absolutely horrible.

    Bf 4 have "Levolution" feature which was quite innovative but Bf game have destructible environment from the beginning.....A whole 60 story skyscraper crumbles down in Bf 4 and in COD Ghosts a tiny gas station falls down........The producer of COD Ghosts are exaggerating that some destructible environment are innovation in gaming but on a contrary Bf 4 producers are saying true facts about their engine and they do not brag about anything....they just clearly provide the relevant facts..............COD Ghosts tech feature video was totally a joke as it did not reflected anything in the actual game.    … Expand

(I even have a feeling it's worse than the previous COD) and the game lagged a lot on certain missions which shouldn't be problem at all because I have a decent video card. They might have to start using a different engine if you ask me.

    Maps are too damn big and complex... CoD was famous because his pace was fast, and we didn't have to search for an enemy for a long time... Now the campers are everywhere, the guns insta kills, and eveything is ultra boring.

I have spent the last few days playing (all night I might add) as I couldn't figure out what it was I was doing wrong to get so many deaths. Now I am not a great COD player but on Blops 2 I'll rarely go neg but Ghosts was just fishy I was getting killed so much.

    I do still stand on my point that it is not next gen but it is an improvement ie we have prettier maps albeit not up to par of what other games have and are doing. Super fast reactions as well as a good knowledge of maps seem to be extremely important in doing well. Staying together as a team also seems to work well.

    I from my experience have had more then just a handful of games/deaths where I'm almost certain aimbots and other hacks are being used. This is not a small problem but quite common compared to Black Ops where I didnt have consistent problems.

    I feel this game actively promotes camping with way too many little corners which allow people to hide with nothing but one point to aim at. Now I know there is always a corner in COD maps which can be abused but were talking not one two or three but multiples on every map.

    When I first heard about bigger maps I thought great. That was until I played on them and found that the action would be miles away with no enemies in sights. Until next minutes when there everywhere and I get killed 3 times in a row.

    Onto my last point as I could go on forever but the spawn system is not just bad, terrible but flawed from the very ground up. If you cannot implement a system where by you are not within line of sight and xx metres from a opposite teams player them you should not have released the game. I couldn't believe it when I saw them advertising a DLC map pack after how terrible this game currently and most likely always will be. We should get the DLC for free. Do you actually expect us to buy a DLC after the countless lies. No quick-scoping lie, we'll fix things LIE (you clearly carried on working on DLCs).

    In the future all I can say is I should of listened to the warnings if you can only choose one game to buy my advice is do not buy this one. In all seriousness either buy Black Ops 2 or just wait until the best COD producer Treyarch does next Novembers release. I have faith they will give us what WE want not fish and dog ai that no one cares about.

    I loved COD and IW you have got so big headed that it has blown right up in your face this time when if you had just listened to what your fans said you would of at least made an average game as creativity is not something you do well.

    Revised from 1 to 2 only due to the MP having a few nice new bits and bobs but nothing worth more then a £12 DLC    … Expand

    What the heck Infinity Ward? I signed up to metacritic simply because this game is so unbelievably bad. Why they even released this on PC is beyond me as they clearly couldn't care less about the platform. Black ops 2 was actually quite good on PC, this though is probably the most disappointing game I have ever played. They still have not lived up to their better Modern Warfare 1&2.     Played for 15 minutes and go bored.

    Decided to play Betafield 4 instead.

    That crashed on my 2nd game.

    Went outside and enjoyed the fresh air.

Not only that but there are issues all over the place with this game. I won't get into the many issues, just take a stroll through the forums and you'll see for yourself. Don't do what I did and waste your money on this game. Save your money for something else.

    1) Graphics While improved compared to previous installments, the "new engine" used is actually an old one that's been around for quite some time. It's just "new" to CoD. Compared to other recent games, such as BF4, it's nowhere near cutting edge. But that's just the    I'm not going to just rant, I'll give a breakdown of why CoD: Ghosts is the absolute worst game of the franchise.

    1) Graphics While improved compared to previous installments, the "new engine" used is actually an old one that's been around for quite some time. It's just "new" to CoD. Compared to other recent games, such as BF4, it's nowhere near cutting edge. But that's just the "prettiness" factor, not to mention all the bugs and anomalies. Random jumping and "pausing" occurs even on the highest end machines regardless of video settings. So horrible in fact, the menu screens are sluggish to react and appear jumpy.

    2) Field of View(FOV) Currently locked at 65 degrees. What a horse would see with blinders on. Think about that, you can't see players coming at you just 32.5 degrees off to either side of your screen. 90 is considered minimum playable by most gamers, 120 being more realistic and optimal.

    3) Sound Just one bar for volume. No ability to adjust SFX, in game CoD caster, nothing. It makes the already questionable positional audio more difficult to hear and every sound just kinda mushes together. Even with the best surround headsets audible cues are difficult to make out, especially footsteps.

    4) Poor netcode Ghosts doesn't allow you to see your ping or even bars to see what kind of connection you have. The severe lag and warping around will constantly have your jaw dropping just trying to figure out what happened. Quite often you'll find yourself dead on the ground, seemingly instagibbed, before even a shot is fired. But watch the killcam and you'll see the other player unloading half a clip on you. Unexplainable and inexcusable coding.

    5) Weapon balancing and hitboxes It's likely the poor netcode overlapping this issue, but it almost seems like weapon choice and attachments simply doesn't matter as long as you can minimize recoil. Even so, you'll wonder just how you died or "how the did that hit!?" Snipers are the only weapon I've found to be fairly consistent, but the way it's been designed......it caters to the quick scope players. The same players IW and 3arc have stated snipers are not supposed to work that way. It's a common loadout for cheaters and horrible players that even put red dot stickers on their monitors to indicate center aim.

    6) Maps The worst designed maps in the history of CoD. Some are far too large for a simple 6v6. Every last one has such a multitude of angles to fire from it's impossible to cover your 6. Choke points are non-existent. Combine that with the low FOV and you'll find that most deaths you'll never see, or hear, coming. There is no equivalent of "Nuketown", no map with the exception of 1 that would make for good sniper play. Pick up a high powered SMG and you're good to go. Assault rifles would be good for many maps as well....assuming you're not the run and gun type and tend to camp more.

    There you have it. There are many more smaller issues to contend with but these are the big ones. Overall the worst CoD in franchise history. If you haven't purchased the game yet, don't. If you already have it and are disappointed, return it or file a chargeback with your credit card company to get a refund.     Price of 60 Us dollars or 60 Euros is to much for the game that is purely MP. Four hour of SP huge disappointment, Not to say that Hardened Edition is 120 Us Dollars or Euros. In one word this is just BAD! I am sorry but you lost me as a future buyer of your new games.

    Absolutely horrid game. Graphics are essentially the same as any previous CoD from the past 4 years besides a few upgrades, AI is still horrible, animations are better. Definitely not worth anywhere near even $5.

After Treyarch rekindled my love of CoD, I preordered Ghosts, and I'm glad to say: Its an unplayable piece of trash, so buggy it numbs the mind, nothing new at all, and the new engine actually might look worse than the old one.     They said the graphics would be better, they said everything would be an improvement over the other games. What a big fat lie. It's more like MW3 #2. I thought Battlefield 4 was bad, this is even worse.

    They created a artificial wall to the game, because the game doesn't actually use or require a full 6gb of ram. They bloated their specs so they could look like they were competing on a graphical scale of BF4. (which by the way, BF4 doesn't block you if you have 4gb of ram, plus it looks better and has bigger maps)

    BTW I used RAMFIX and was able to play single player on ultra settings with no problems... 6gb or higher of ram my a$$!

    this is by far the worst game i ever played in my life.
    activision continues to copy&paste former games and delivers the same boring stuff in the years before.
    not sure why i spent my money again with good hopes that it will turn out good, but i got disappointed for the last time, thats for sure. never again call of duty!

    70gb of of "next gen" textures, that are flat textures, 65 FOV and the biggest inestability.

    Even with 2 Nvidia Titans (36 gb) it goes the worst it can

I am honest, it's not even frustration. This game looks worse than Call of Duty 4 and I have around 20 fps if that's what you guys call optimization, better work on a new engine. This awful optimization forced me to change graphic settings like 10 times. The frustrating part is that you require the game to load level over and over again, with every (even small) change in the settings. I don't even want to say anything about your 6GB of RAM requirement, because this is the biggest joke I have ever seen. I have a pretty decent setup, I played BF4 which has a lot better graphics on 40-50 FPS at 1440x900 with medium settings. I have 20 FPS in Call of Duty, running it on 1280x720 with low settings.

    Honestly... I am speechless. I will sum up everything with only one sentence you guys even copied some of the old files (sounds) to Call of Duty: Ghosts. It feels like you guys released a patch or DLC that is pretty much f***** up, because someone failed in your QA Department with game tests. When I see notes like "10" for this game on Metacritic I don't even know what to say.

    This game is horrible, period. And to clarify I really love what you guys are doing. I love video games, I love game-dev. I love your passion that you put in Call of Duty for several years. I can understand a lot of processes that may have went wrong. But here... I am just a customer. Customer, that haven't seen this kind of disappointment for the last several years.     I wish I could give a better score, BUT Activision released the same game 5th time. I hoped that this will be the real nextgen Call of Duty, but after the trailers the game disappointed me! The campaign story is perfect, just like the cinematics, but the texture qualities... man... I have only one question left: Why is this game have such a high system requirements?

    (PC Multiplayer) Absolute Junk. Lag and pretty bad graphics.... almost every map is dull and depressing, colors are dead. I'd love a refund for my hard earned cash, i most certainly feel cheated.

    I was a huge fan of the series and bought it for my kid and me who play on both ps3 and xbox, both versions were absolute trash, I was a fan sense call of duty 4 and this is a disgrace to the series.

    The anti-lag tech produces effects where your actions can be up to 2 seconds behind an opponent, giving you little hope to win in a face to face gun battle. It also impacts general hit registration. Hilariously, some guns are exempt from this. You cannot check your ping, or tell what server you are on. I couldnt tell if i was on a local server or an international one.     This is a sad day, Ghost is a MW3 clone but with much more to hate.
    So many problems with everything, sure they will probably fix some of the problems but knowing the "COD TEAM" they will start working on the "NEXT GEN COD" in about 2 week and ignore this =)

    No thanks, this is where I leave the train, back to MW2 and BO I go.

    Graphically weak, with a short and predictable campaign.

    The multiplayer part is completely ruined by the so called lag compensation, which shall make you lag in every "server" (btw, there are NO dedicated servers), even if you have a top-notch connection.

    This games sucks, and does it very badly
