    Not regretting trying it, here's the lesson, never take negative reviews seriously on metacritic until you have tried certain game for yourself. You might miss out on many outstanding games that are hated for dumb reasons.

    Graphics in this game were ahead of it's time, looking at trash games like cyberpunk2077 makes me like games like this even more (and overall open-world as well)

    As most fans already know, Valhalla was last Assassin's Creed game. Next one will be some live-service bs and these are always dead on arrival, specially for AC that has always been with strong single player OFFLINE focus. But i guess nothing lasts forever and it was solid ride. Many great games like AC Unity, Origins, Black Flag, even Syndicate, Valhalla was ok at best, better thanAs most fans already know, Valhalla was last Assassin's Creed game. Next one will be some live-service bs and these are always dead on arrival, specially for AC that has always been with strong single player OFFLINE focus. But i guess nothing lasts forever and it was solid ride. Many great games like AC Unity, Origins, Black Flag, even Syndicate, Valhalla was ok at best, better than Odyssey. At least this series didn't end on lowest note. Also there's other great older Ubisoft games to play like Watch Dogs 1, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Far Cry 3 and many more.     What i like about Valhalla is fixing mistakes of last two games (hidden blade, hood etc), what i don't like is lack of innovation. Still better than last two and people who give it 0 stars are just haters and should be ignored by both Ubisoft and actual fans of the series.

    Way better than expected. I was worried, because some comments here make it look like it's worst game ever, but it's actually better than last two Assassin's Creed games. Would recommend!

    Gameplay: 6/10

    - Controls (ease of use): Very clunky, but parrying and blocking is responsive at least. Climbing and generally just moving is a frustrating experience. 6/10
    - Unique systems: Levelling up feels like a chore. The raid mechanic is a welcome addition. Nothing really new to be honest. 6/10
    - Difficulty (settings, scaling, etc.): Played on the hardest combat and stealth difficulty. Stronger enemies and bosses have an annoying amount of health, but their damage is rather forgiving with good armour and 2-3 portions of HP refill. 7/10
    - Grind: It seems possible to complete the main story without having to force yourself to do side quests. The problem is that even the main story is repetitive. 5/10

    Story/Lore/World: 7/10

    - Characters: There were a few interesting characters, but there are so many characters in the game that after some time you start forgetting who's who. Apart from the main characters nobody really stands out. 6/10
    - Writing quality: Eivor has some really great lines. Language can be witty, so overall I am satisfied. 8/10
    - World design: Trademark Ubisoft copy and paste, rather empty and lifeless world. NPCs do not seem to have a daily routine, they just walk around. Not too convincing. 6/10
    - Story/Lore: not ready to comment yet.

    Technical: 5/10

    - Optimization: Really bad, worse than the previous 2 games. Kind of playable but 60 FPS is impossible. 5/10

In a way Red Dead Redemption 2 is way more Liberal than this game with it's forced feminist mission and i'm saying that as die-hard Rockstar fan. I guarantee GTA 6 has even more stuff like that, possibly more than any Ubisoft game ever. That's the gaming in 2020s and onward, forever. Deal with it. Witcher 4 will have way more focus on female characters and it will include many black characters. That's just how it will be. Witcher 3 will absolutely NEVER happen again. Never. Inclusion is not bad thing, in fact it is necessary and i think it's time for "certain gamers" to understand that there are all kind of people on this planet.… Expand

    Combats are better than Odyssey but the story is boring. I completely forgot the story halfway while conquering England. This event seems not related to the main character's story, so many new characters keep jumping in and out of the scene. It is too hard to remember all of them since they have very little impact to the main storyline.     While playing Valhalla I was wondering about the same thing while I was playing any of the previous parts - how can you release 12 games, remaster 5 of them, with core gameplay as a parkour-like terrain traversing, all while being an AAA game developer, and fail at it every single time.     Gameplay-wise - comparing to Oddysey (since this is basically the same game - Ubisoft is a master of game mechanics recycling) it has all annoying things but has been stripped of fun elements. Character is a block of wood - running like in a dream - fully engaged pressing forward, but moving like in a jar of honey where your enemy can slowly and gently, but at a similar speed, move backward while aiming at you with a bow. Exploration is always the same - run/ride for a minute or two, and do one of few things - throw a jar of oil, shoot door barricade from the window behind or go through the opening in the top of the building. Oh, don't forget to enter a well to collect the key. In Oddysey world was at least interesting - here we have two ruins of colosseums, two models of churches, and other generic ruins. All repetitive and boring. It is also no longer an RPG. If you have preferred alignment you basically stay with the same gear from the beginning to the end since there are so few weapons and armors. And it also doesn't matter which one you choose, they all have similar stats. This game is now a kind of barbie doll house - you complete tasks and gather resources to buy new hair, or decorate your village and boat. Nothing else. Fighting can be brute-forced, assassinations are useless, stealth is kept only for sake of naming the game "Assasin's Creed". The new thing - raids are fun but only for the first three times - later they are extremely repetitive.
    The story is unfinished (like in every other game nowadays) - after the "main character arc", both assassin creed and england conquer arcs are closed as fast as possible, with a lot of plot holes. It really feels like the team didn't had time to think about a proper ending.    … Expand

    Oyunda tek ve uzun bir ana hikaye yok. Yani var da çok belirgin değil. Ana hikaye belirli şehirlerle ittifak yapmak için oranın liderinin problemlerini çözmek şeklinde ilerliyor. Tek ve 30 saat süren ana hikaye yerine, her biri 3-4 saat süren birçok hikaye konsepti daha çok hoşuma gitti. Zira böylesi uzun ve araya başka yan görevlerin falan da girdiği oyunlarda insan ana hikayeye olan ilgisini ve bilgisini bir süre sonra kaybediyor. Ancak 3-4 saat bir hikayeye dalıp tamamladıktan sonra o arada istediğin gibi takılabiliyorsun.

    Ana hikayeleri genellikle sevdim. Baştakiler biraz birbirinin aynısıydı ve oralarda oyundan çok sıkıldım ama ortalardan itibaren değişik hikayeler, duygusal anlar ve alınması gereken zor kararlarla hikaye çeşitlendi. AC'den böyle eli yüzü düzgün ve oturaklı hikayeler beklemezdim açıkçası. Bunlar valhalla'nın en parlak olduğu konuydu. Oyun yan karakterleri öldürme konusunda da beklemediğim düzeyde cesurdu. Ancak hikayelerdeki çeşitliliğe rağmen görevler birbirinin benzeriydi.

    Oyunda yan görev yok. Yani şöyle, oyunları ana görev, witcher 3'teki gibi uzun hikayeli yan görev ve küçük açık dünya etkinlikleri diye bölersek bunda yan görev yok denecek kadar az. Ana hikaye ac tarihinin en uzunu olduğu için yan görev koymamışlar. Onun yerine çok sayıda küçük açık dünya etkinliği var. Bu görevlerin her birisi bir dakika falan sürüyor. Burada da ilginç karakterlerle karşılaşıyorsunuz. One Punch Man, mağaraya girmek isteyen Alice, Rapunzel bunlardan bazıları. Odyssey'de de olan efsanevi hayvanlar, mistik üç kız kardeş ve Ragnar'ın hala yaşayan ve ölüp onunla buluşmak isteyen silah arkadaşları ise açık dünyada karşılaşabileceğiniz ve güzel boss savaşları vaat eden öğelerden bazıları. Ancak oyunun açık dünyasını boş verip ana hikayeden ilerleyince oyunu sevdim.

    Odyssey'den farklı olarak burada her öldürdüğünüz düşmandan silah düşmüyor. Onun yerine belirli yerlerden silah ve armor'ları sizin bulmanız gerekiyor. Benim gibi yeni düşen silah daha mı iyi diye 2 dakikada bir envantere bakmak istemeyenler için iyi bir şey bu. Ancak açık dünyada yapılacak o kadar çok şey var ki ben bir süre sonra silah aramayı bıraktım. Onun yerine mevcut silahlarımı geliştirdim ve oyunun 2. saatinde edindiğim setle oyunu tamamladım. Silahlarınızı ve yerleşkenizi geliştirecek elementleri de açık dünyada buluyorsunuz ama bunların peşinden koşmayı tavsiye etmem. Denk geldikçe edinirsiniz, zira oyuna çok etkisi yok. Üstelik bunlar genelde girmesi zor küçük bulmacalı binalarda olduğundan, sürekli bunlarla uğraşmak hakikaten bayıyor. Ben yapmadım ama loot hilesi yapmak ciddi bir seçenek. Yerleşkenizde demirci ve kışla gibi bir kaç şeyi yapın yeter, ziyafet etkisini artıran binalarla uğraşmaya gerek yok, vakit kaybı.

    Oyunun skill ağacını sevdim. Puanlarınızı ya direkt yeni bir yetenek edinmek için ya da bir istatistiğinizi geliştirmek için kullanıyorsunuz. Bunun dışında açık dünyada yeni kabiliyetler edinebileceğiniz kitaplar bulabiliyorsunuz ve combat esnasında adrenalin barı karşılığında kullanıyorsunuz. Özel güç gibi bir şey. Kullanması keyifli, oynanışa etkisi fazla.

    Combat kısmı Odyssey'nin gerisinde mi değil mi anlayamadım. Daha çeşitli olduğu kesin. İki elinize farklı türde silahlar alıp çeşitli kombinasyonlar oluşturabiliyorsunuz. Ama düşmanlar çok kolay. Normalde başlamıştım ama baktım keyif almıyorum zora çevirdim. Çok da bir şey değişmedi, doğru düzgün hasar almıyordum sadece öldürmesi biraz daha uzun sürüyordu.

    Odyssey'de gizlik yok diyenler utanırlar mı, sanmam. Çünkü bunda hiç yok. Odyssey'de bir üsse girip herkesle dövüşmek hiç değilse uzun sürdüğü için bundan kaçınıp işinizi gizlice halletmeye çalışıyordunuz. Bunda tek başına herkesi hem daha kolay hem de mekanlar gizliliğe uygun tasarlanmamış. Hem düşmanlar daha kolay fark ediyor hem de saklanacak yer az.     Gra daje dużo satysfakcji - dobra oprawa graficzna i dźwiękowa, ale po kilkunastu godzinach gry trochę nuży płaszczyzna fabularna. Historyjka jak ich już wiele było, nic przełomowego. Nie doświadczyłem natomiast zbyt wielu gliczy, co jest dużym plusem.

Not sure how that happened, but I reinstalled the game but still could not resolve the issue - so after alot of consideration I decided to start over (instead of just uninstalling). After ~10 hrs of play the autosave files forThe story line as well as open world things to do makes it the best AC so far. I play ~110 hrs and was still very into the game until all my saves were 'corrupt'. Not sure how that happened, but I reinstalled the game but still could not resolve the issue - so after alot of consideration I decided to start over (instead of just uninstalling). After ~10 hrs of play the autosave files for the new game were not corrupt....they just loaded me into a frozen screen - well, that is it for me. Unless I plan to plan a few weeks straight and not turn off the game, there is no reason to expect a different result. Too bad - it is a cool game otherwise.… Expand

    First, the basics. Slow, boring, repetitive, effortless, horrible actors, lazy clothings, animation. It really seems like a unfinishied game or that they were to lazy to test it. The cons are a lot in comparisson with the pro in this game. For example, the loot or the rewards. You spend literally an hour trying to find a way to figure out how to enter a cave and the reward is a piece of gold that doesnt do **** Then, the weapons, armor stuff, sucks. You have to seek sea, land N air to find something new and when you find it sucks. like you feel your time has been taken as a joke. I hate almost everyting about it and I played it 100 hours, no blufing. I would pick Odyssey or Origins over this **** **** any **** day. Its my very first time writing a review for a game and it really made mad. And i dont even bogght the game it was a gift so you can image if i would ve bought it.

    Also as a 5.3 tall guy is kind of nice to sea a main character being kind of short, BUT COME THE **** ON, you are talkings about vikings, i want to be like thor not a **** midget from middle earth.

    To sum up, ****ty game. Tries hard to be the witcher, god of war, dark souls, prince of persia and the saddest thign? Tries to be an assassin creed game WHEN YOU CANT EVEN **** ASSASSINATE PEOPLE. It sucks. If you are reading this and get to this so far down, do not buying, or watch a lot gamplay videos on ytb. Is not worth anybodies time. Trust me. Incredible dissapointed. And i could go down to write more stuff of how bad this **** **** is but i dont want to. I cant understand those who liked it and call the best of all time. Is one of the worst games i have ever played. **** ubisoft needs to stop milking games franchieses and start to listetnitg to fans about the game preferences.

    ASSASSIN'S CREED VALHALLA is a beautiful looking game that suffers from possibly the worst controls in gaming history, the incompatibility of the ASSASSIN'S CREED series and too much excess baggage. Let me explain:
    Firstly the CONTROLS: Eivor (player character can either be male or female) controls like a fully loaded Mack truck hauling 3 equally loaded trailers driven by a drunk. But    ASSASSIN'S CREED VALHALLA is a beautiful looking game that suffers from possibly the worst controls in gaming history, the incompatibility of the ASSASSIN'S CREED series and too much excess baggage. Let me explain:
    Firstly the CONTROLS: Eivor (player character can either be male or female) controls like a fully loaded Mack truck hauling 3 equally loaded trailers driven by a drunk. But somehow we are supposed to believe that s/he can gracefully scale walls the best ninja wouldn't be able to? Combat is clunky and unresponsive, but the worst offender is the climbing mechanic: shift utilizes an UNintelligent system where the AI assumes what you wish to do - which at least in my case was wrong 95% of the time. Trying to climb down something or getting off something has a 90-10 chance of success. The controls are atrocious! Whoever came up with these should be flayed alive. Add the console-friendly menus to the mix and embrace the suck.
    Second issue: IDENTITY CRISIS. The latest ASSASSIN'S CREED games, ORIGINS, ODYSSEY and VALHALLA (probably the preceding ones, too, but I haven't played them) suffer from an identity problem, that is ASSASSIN'S CREED itself. While the original lore of assassins versus Templars draws form the Crusades, the later games' attempt to justify the excursions into Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and per-medieval Viking Age falls flat on its face and is totally unbelievable and outright ridiculous. The ASSASSIN's CREED game mechanics also don't work with the setting itself, a Viking using stealth?! It just doesn't mesh. The last 3 ASSASSIN'S CREED games should not have the AC name and should ditch all AC elements.
    Third: EXCESS BAGGAGE: Ubisoft, drop the present timeline with Layla Hassan and the Animus already!!! It's immersion breaking (a deathblow to any Open World game!), the character is annoying and uninteresting. I always skip her dialogues and hit the Animus as soon as the game lets me, which at the first interruption works relatively fast, but later you need to do some quests. Ditch this, or at least let us decide if we want to have this or not (like the gender selection at the beginning it could be an option). There are also lots of annoying cutscenes that drag on which cannot be skipped and a lot of filler content that is just bloating.
    There are also several bugs (many MANY crashes, synchronization issues with the forced use of the Ubisoft Connect Program), even over half a year after the game's release. At times my long boat would flip over and become unmaneuverable until I quit out and reloaded the game. Couple that with horrendously long load times and you can imagine how much fun that was.
    When the game works properly and you've made it past the annoying cutscenes and Layla sequence and reach England, VALHALLA shines: it is one of the most beautiful looking Open Worlds, hands down. You can get some mileage out of it simply by exploring the vast area. Sailing down the rivers while mist engulfs you is just pure atmosphere and makes you feel like in the movie The 13th Warrior.
    I also like the branching skill tree a lot - not overly complex but not too simple either, which allow different play styles (full out assault, bows or stealth assassinations) or mix them to your heart's content.
    Unfortunately after a while repetition sets in. And grinding. The world is divided in Power Levels (you gain Power Levels by upgrading your gear and weapons and by investing in the skill tree). However some neighboring regions have such a steep rise in Power Level that hours of grinding and collecting ore, ingots and leather becomes mandatory. Many game mechanics that start out to be fun (raids) soon become tedious and repetitive as well. And once you've uncovered the entire map there's little to keep you playing on. The missions are not very varied either, ranging from fetch quests (a lot of them) to assassinations.
    Overall VALHALLA is the best looking AC game with beautiful locations and vistas to behold, but it offers too little innovations to be compelling in the long run - let's face it, Ubisoft has been making the same game over and over and over again with ROGUE, UNITY, SYNDICATE, ORIGINS, ODYSSEY and now with VALHALLA, it just comes with a different paint job. Also Eivor (either gender) is a very bland character compared to ODYSSEY's Kassandra. It's just slightly above average and the fun factor is like a roller coaster ride with ups and downs and unfortunately more downs than ups, especially if you played previous entries in the series.
    Oh, and then there's the overly long load times that don't seem to be justified. Also at each startup of the game you are informed about how this game was created by a team of ultra-woke loons of many genders, faiths and nationalities - yes, the cringe-worthy screen greets you every time you start the game and takes a chunk out of your time as well.    … Expand

    The game itself is atmospheric, the Viking style is a big plus, but I have a main complaint about women in this game, if you added a lot of main female characters, make them at least beautiful.

    It could really do more.. but well... probably there is just not so much interesting things around the Viking ages. Maybe about 40 hours in the game, and everything start looking like one big repeat of the thing which You just did a minutes ago.
    Let's hope that the next AC will be in the ancient Thracia or Rome, where there is much more to do. ;)

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I mostly liked the accuracy between the real historical events and the game. Although the game is fictional at most and mostly presumes how it looked like and how everything happened, its mostly realistic. And unlike the other Assassin's Creed games, they didn't change much about the history, they did their research widely. I tried to find out about those times and found only limited information.

    The gameplay is different from the other ones too, finishing moves, abilities and all. They did a good job (finally).

    The flyting, drinking games ect. are a good breathing break from all the action. And the story is not bad at all, considering its mostly based on real history. Nice game.

    I can't understand this high score! It's not an RPG and not an action game. I think this is the worst skill "tree" what I have ever seen, i'ts horrible. The fight system is poor like a wood, and you can't craft. It's just a large open worls walking and farming simulator, with some logical jobs, nothing else. One of the worst AC in the series.

    Change appearance system is horrible, how could them change from a perfect system like in Odissey to this? You not only have to pay for it but its expensive, in only one place and after a irritating menu wall.
    The graphics are the same as in Odissey with negletable improving in some areas but England is so much uglyer than Greece i feel depressed after playing a few hours.
    The map is terrible to walk around, irritating stone fences everywhere, beautiful landscapes are scarce, they probably fired the photography guy when they finished Origins... But even Odyssey has better mapping.
    Well but there are good things, the system where u have to cloak yourself in some places and mingle with the locals.
    The instant assassination option in the menu is a plus.
    Fishing option is good but must be flawless, after you fish in RDR2 you cant fish anywhere anymore.
    Also the option to use many different weapon combinations (but with less different strike options).
    But they also got rid of good systems like marking enemy's with ur bird (like wtf?) and other cool things.
    The skill tree is also boring with boring +x status abilities and other things not worthing your time to open the menu and get.
    The flawless difficulty system from Odyssey where u could make all enemys your lvl and adjust separately the combat dificulty and assassination are gone...

    Parcour is frustrating for ages now. Stealth has been implemented and is useless too since we wont get any rewards for going stealth and its also frustrating because the detection speed is nuts and broken since sometimes you get caught sneaking around while behind cover which destroys immersion. At the end u just slaughter around anyway.

    Story telling is a bit better than in previous games but still not immersive enough. Some cut scenes are cringe and not even necessary. Even in the main missions.

    Gear and skillsystem is boring and doesnt give me anything special that makes me feel okay i choose the raven path. you will skill everything anyway so why 3 different paths at all?

    100000000 questionsmarks. some of them side events some of them collecting stuff, bandit and animal camps as always and so on.

    Modern day still not important in the game sadly.

    Immersion breaking bugs and mechanics like getting attacked while following npcs in questlines, getting stuck in haystacks when doing a leap of faith and crashes inclusive.

    This New AC world was great and detailed and this story was incredible, the upgrading and combat system was good. ~100 hours well spent. Although it was a bit buggy, but not game breaking.

    - Many side missions which are quite unique and enjoyable
    - You can upgrade your gear and your horse and even customize them
    - Raiding is quite fun
    - Many ways to approach missions
    - Soundtrack is really good
    - A really long game if you try to do everything (Over 80-100 hours)

    Neutral:
    - The ending was abrupt, but more content/DLC is on the way so that will fill the gaps hopefully.
    - The graphics can look bad sometimes, but not horrible,

    Cons:
    - Bugs (It's an Ubisoft game so it's expected)
    - On my playthrough I played as male Eivor and I heard stuff like SHE. kinda hilarious.
    - While the soundtrack is really good, it gets repetitive
    - Some missions are repetitive
    - When you raise an army for a siege, there is always like 20-30 people. I found it really funny as it just felt like a bar fight with that few people and not a proper war.

    8/10 It's a great game nonetheless I really enjoyed traversing through England.    … Expand

    Very fun game! Can't wait for Paris DLC and after that next Assassin's Creed game that is exactly like Valhalla! I also hope it will be at least 300 hours long and have 2 big DLC's. Long live AC!

    I liked the story, the combat, that you play as a Viking, but this was not an assassin's creed game.
    The story started going dry at the end and I didn't really like the RPG in it, but it was fun to play

Плюс резкие движения все эти    Меньше 9 я не могу поставить этой игре. Круто все, играю с превеликим удовольствием.     While "Rockstar Games" (King of Gaming) is working on their next masterpiece, people should just accept that until then "Ubisoft" rules this kingdom. I think everyone agrees that 2019 was absolute fail for "Ubisoft", but Assassin's Creed Valhalla has been huge comeback. It was their best selling PC game of all time. That's huge. They make more games than most companies ever could,. Not all of them are hits, but most of them are at least decent, if not great. My playtime on AC Valhalla as of rn is 280 hours and i don't feel like stopping anytime soon. This game is so addicting and fun.… Expand

    Fun game, best part are miniquests that you find while progressing in main story. World looks more realistic than Odyssey and that's a positive. Can't wait for dlc outfits.

    Chapter 2: Is it good?

    AC Valhalla has lots to love. Snowy Norway, Colorful England, Dream world, North America. Each of these places have their own feels and are unique in their own way. It's not best in the series, but it's in my top 5 as of right now. Despite lacking in some ways, it's best of last three games.

    Chapter 3: Story, Main Character, Graphics, Music/Sound.

    Story is long and has it's good moments and faults, but to avoid spoilers, i can't really write anything else about that. Main character "Eivor", specially male Eivor has one of the better voice actors AC has had in long time. His serious personality fits with this game well.

    Sound is okay, but music is very good. Graphics could be better, as RDR2 looks better, but it's still acceptable.

    Conclusion : Overall enjoyable game, not best, far from worst.    … Expand

    I was playing it today for like 7-8 hours and i was thinking what would be this one word to describe this game -how about, incredible. I'm literally blown away in so many aspects of this wonderfully designed epic. Odyssey and Origins can't even get close to what this on did.
    It's funny to see all these zeros from these fake accounts who don't even own the game.     This game is totally dissappointed me! I am a former Assassin's Creed gamer. There is no series I didn't play. Firstly, the gameplay sucks. Why should I use shift for heavy attack? And it can't be changed because it involves 2 key For example I want tome make it Q + left button. There should not be a heavy attack anyway. It should be like in Odyssey. But it mosley like in the Origins.This game is totally dissappointed me! I am a former Assassin's Creed gamer. There is no series I didn't play. Firstly, the gameplay sucks.     After roughly 70 hours i can recommend this game, but only if you really have a lot spare time. This game is extremely long.

    There's more positives than negatives for this Installement. Lets start with positives.
    Looks good graphically as expected from Ubisoft. Main character has very good voice actor, way better than Odyssey's voice actor. World is huge and very colorful. Lots of things to do, even if you just want to explore. Quests are 80% fun and 20% fine or bad.
    Now negatives. It's still not 100% bugfree,    There's more positives than negatives for this Installement. Lets start with positives.

    Beautiful open world game. Might be one of Ubisoft's better world designs in recent years.

    Best Assassin's Creed ever? Not even close. That would be AC 4 Black Flag. But it's in top 5 for sure. Would recommend, if you like big open world games.

    There were bunch of bugs for sure at launch, but that doesn't make or break game for me. After latest 14GB patch it's actually pretty good. I would love to give it solid 8/10, but i can't because some lunatics give it 0/10's. So i have to give it 10/10 regardless, so this score wouldn't go down.     Overall an OK game. Definitely not the best AC game, nor my favorite.

    The game just doesn't offer enough of a challenge, even on the hardest difficulty settings.
    This can make the game feel pretty repetitive and boring, and is ultimately why I stopped playing this game after around 50h or so.

    Still worth playing in my opinion, but just keep in mind there's better AC games out there.

    Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a great-looking open-world game with impressive landscapes and cinematography. However, the checklist collectible open-world still needs some work to feel truly engaging, and combat is too tedious and too frequent to be compelling. As a lapsed fan of Assassin's Creed trying to see if I can click with the series once again, Valhalla didn't quite hook me as I was hoping it would.

    Assassins Creed Valhalla is a lot of fun and easy to sink dozens of hours into. It is the best entry in the more recent trilogy and genuinely elevates the gameplay mechanics. Content could be considered somewhat bloated still, but it is diverse enough and the setting and story is solid most of the way through.

    Sneaking is fun, fighting is fun, walking through the great outdoors is so much fun. Sightseeing too! Valhalla is free minded and could be innovative, but lacks skills to persuade its players about that. [Issue#308]
