    First of alll as a gamer this game is very disappointing. It lacks basic features like jumping dancing or easy mode. when i first played the game a year ago on my seventh birtday when my brother got the switch online memrbe ship. i could not get pas teh first level. after my dad helped me to the big tree i died over 8 times to THOSE STUPIT PLANTS. this game is so confusing. not only isFirst of alll as a gamer this game is very disappointing.     Medical professionals, should use the game as barometer to declare someone legally dead or not based off of whether it makes them squeal like a little girl in joy or not.

    If you hate this game I can only assume you hate puppies and happiness. Witness an open world style of play, that would inspire games for generations. Often imitated, never duplicated (except for that one time on 3DS.)    … Expand

    I played the remaster first but in the same way it seems to me a game that presented new mechanics The truth is if you want to play a game, from my point of view I would recommend The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time.

    El antes y después en los videojuegos, inventando la mecánica del target al enemigo que muchísimos videojuegos usan a día de hoy. Las cinemáticas tan bien dirigidas y ese mundo tan basto y vivo que en la época no existía nada igual. Ocarina of time podría ser perfectamente el padre del gaming actual.

Сюжет хоть и был довольно простой, но сопровождался обилием кинематографических вставочек на движке игры. Особенно порадовала демонстрация эмоций персонажей через сменяющие друг друга модельки лиц, для тех времён вполне неплохо. Графика хоть в целом и слабенька, но высокое внимание к деталям это дело компенсирует сполна.

    Трудно представить, насколько круто окарина времени воспринималась тогда, если даже сейчас она неплохо играется, разве что управление и камера могут показаться неудобными, но это мелочи. У нас тут небольшой, зато компактный мир, где на каждом шагу либо секретка, либо мини игра. Линк постоянно приобретает всё новые и новые инструменты, от грамотного использования которых и зависит продвижение дальше, так что всё завязано на внимательности и смекалки игрока, а не на прокачке чего либо. Можно конечно качать здоровье через поиск секретных сердечек, но это не более чем дополнительные права на ошибку. В общем, образцовая игра от нинтендо и довольно знаковая для индустрии в целом.    … Expand

    I might be a bit biased when it comes to this review, but in my personal opinion, Zelda Ocarina of Time is perfection. Growing up with this game for as long as I can remember has cemented everything about this game into my mind. This game might honestly have the greatest music soundtrack of all time thanks to the master composer Koji Kondo. The game mechanics have also changed the gaming landscape forever with mechanics like enemy targeting, world traversal, and sword combat. Last but absolutely not least is the games incredibly deep and impactful story. The story might seem like a story about your typical hero's journey, but there is so much more underneath. Themes about Man v. Nature and Childhood v. Adulthood can be seen with the game's subtext. The entire game is honestly an incredible journey that no one can ever forget. Once you've played this game, you'll never be the same person again. A true untouchable masterpiece.… Expand

Es el mejor juego que jugué en mi vida, los gráficos a pesar de que son de hace 25 años no te cansan, la jugabilidad es increíble siempre con nuevas mecánicas y teniendo que cambiar la linea temporal para hacer cosas que afectan a la otra linea del tiempo y por ultimo la musica, es posiblemente la mas adictiva de la historia de los videojuegos, el tema de saria es un temon, sin olvidar el de la tienda, la ciudad, etc, ademas, se puede jugar por donde quieras y no pesa nada ya que perfectamente puedes jugarlo por emulador o mismamente online, todos los personajes tienen una personalidad distintiva que hace que los diálogos no suenen forzados, ademas, todo el juego en si es bastante instintivo. literalmente un juegazo… Expand

    Let me preface this review by saying that I do have massive respect for this game and the innovations it made for gaming as a whole. It is irrevocably a good game and I'm not here to deny that. All this being said though, does it truly deserve the title of Best Game of ALL Time? I seriously doubt that. I get the idea of not judging games from the past to modern standards and I'm not gonnaLet me preface this review by saying that I do have massive respect for this game and the innovations it made for gaming as a whole. It is irrevocably a good game and I'm not here to deny that. All this being said though, does it truly deserve the title of Best Game of ALL Time? I seriously doubt that. I get the idea of not judging games from the past to modern standards and I'm not gonna try and do that here, but to say this was where gaming peaked, that no game that has ever come after this has ever come close to Ocarina of Time's heights would be a severe disservice to 24 years worth of absolutely incredible games. I could go on about this point alone except for the fact that it wouldn't be much of a review if I didn't discuss the merits of the game itself, so let's get into those.

    Graphics- I wasn't alive in '98 when this game came out so I have no idea how "Great for the time" the graphics in the game are. Playing it today though, they hold up pretty well and you can generally tell what everything in its blocky glory is supposed to be. to have any complaints here would simply be foolish and ignorant.
    Music- I think Ocarina of Time's incredible music is by far its strongest trait. The music is always fitting of the kind of environment it's trying to portray at any given moment. Moreover, every track is excellent and about 90% of the soundtrack will get stuck in your head and never leave. I have no complaints here at all and am willing to admit that the people who praise this game's soundtrack as one of the best of all time are right.
    Story- To be honest I've never seen the appeal of Ocarina of Time's story. It's a simple hero's journey story of a boy with tremendous courage who's forced to grow up too fast, it's a simple story but works in favor of the world and gameplay. Some would argue that the story is masterfully told and drenched in depth and symbolism and that's a big part of what makes it the best game ever made, honestly though even within its own series Ocarina of Time is beat out in that department by great stories like those seen in Majora's Mask or Link's Awakening. The story in Ocarina of certainly is good, but heavily overrated when compared to much stronger ones.
    Gameplay- This is where most of my gripes with Ocarina of Time come from. Zelda games have always had big and lively versions of the titular Hyrule to explore and such is the case in Ocarina of Time, the only difference here being that this Hyrule feels like the blandest and most empty in the entire series. Outside of it's key locations, Ocarina of Times version of Hyrule just feels empty. For Instance, many have cited the first moments of leaving Kokiri Forest and entering Hyrule Field as the magical first steps of an incredible journey, but in my first playthrough and experience with this moment all I felt was underwhelmed. Before me laid a completely barren field that I was expected to traverse by walking or rolling until I reached the next location where the story would continue, and rinse and repeat this for whenever you need to reach another key location. In terms of the dungeons, they have certainly been far better in the series history, sure there are unforgettable ones like the forest temple of the shadow temple, but the rest are either tedious in their puzzles or just plain forgettable. There are moments where the game feels lively, like when entering a new town and meeting all the charismatic and fun NPC's there but apart from these shining moments the game leaves a lot to be desired.

    Overall, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a landmark game in the history of gaming and deserves respect from all those who enjoy modern open world adventure games of the same vein, but the claims that it's the "Best Video Game Ever Made" are unfounded and deserve a serious and critical second look.    … Expand

    Ocarina of Time is probably the most perfect Zelda game that is ever going to exist, and one of the best games ever made. It's a flawless adventure game that takes you on a legendary journey through an amazing fantasy world that has been masterfully built despite all the limitations of the system at the time.     A masterpiece in every way. What a great kick-start in life for imagination, adventure inspiration, fun and logic learning. All aspects were mastered from music I still listen to, to character design and game-play.
    Still waiting for a contender.

    I've been traveling the world for 9 years and its still Link's adventure that I feel like I've inherited from.

    I love this game, but as a completionist I find collecting all 100 skultulas a little annoying (not even going to mention the koroks on breath of the wild) but still enjoyable. The characters of Oot are fun but they don't quite live up to the characters in Majoras mask, still this is a great game and I highly recommend it.

    Amazing game but it has aged over the years amazing story and gameplay holds ups graphics wise not so much I’m 2022 it’s a really fun play and to go back to a game such as Corina of time is a blast I think a full on remake in the openness of breath of the wild would be the best game off all time

    Não é à toa que essa obra merece o título de Melhor Jogo da História.
    Simplesmente amo esse jogo, não tenho o que falar de ruim.
    Sua história é incrível, a jogabilidade continua gostosa mesmo depois de quase 25 anos do lançamento original, as músicas são fenomenais - e tudo isso junto, feito com amor pela Big N fez o jogo ser sensacional do início ao fim.

    Greatest game of all time. I was six when we got this game in 1998 and it is part of my childhood and my life. The OST is something else. It means a lot that there is an enormous amount of people claiming this is the best game ever, it really is and it is pointless to point this out as everyone who played this at that time knows it.

    Nostálgico demais. Um dos primeiros jogos a revolucionar o 3D, ótima jogabilidade, tenho a sensação de que o controle do N64 foi criado exclusivamente para esse jogo. Mundo aberto para se aventurar e poder fazer oq quiser!!!

    Shockingly overrated. This game is impressive in that it took the series into 3D. That is where the positives end. Otherwise it is the standard Zelda affair. Nothing of particular note. Not only that the visuals age horribly (as most n64 games do) I would never recommend this to anyone besides a diehard Zelda/N64 fan.

    Childhood memories. This game had everything, one of the best storys, a beautiful open-world and for the time it came out it looked stunning. The dungeons were perfect, a great mix between hard and easy, frustrating but giving a feeling of happiness after you beat them. For me one of the best games ever.

    I see that some didn't like the game very much and that's why they think it's overrated, but I'm proof that it gets the grade it deserves, since it wasn't part of my childhood or anything like that. The game is amazing even for today as I played it after playing many modern games and had fun (Except for the water temple >:(. )

I 100% agree with people on those terms, but I think people oversight some issues the game has.

    Ocarina has a lot of great gameplay mechanics, and a lot of poor ones — It's best attribute is it's fast movement, fluid controls, and unique ideas like the longshot, hookshot. But sometimes the jumping can be a messy situation. It manges to have a lot, a lot of replayability just so you can find all the heart pieces, golden skulls, and finish those side quests. But my biggest gripe with the game that holds me back from replaying is... The Water Temple. I know that's controversial, but it's entirely true. I have a hard time with some puzzle games, but this one stomped me at first. You have to continuously swap out between the metal boots and your kokiri boots which becomes tedious after awhile.

    I do understand why everyone loves this game, but sometimes the praise seems over deserved. I personally am astonished at all of the work, effort, and time that has went into Ocarina and especially the people that make ROM hacks, mods, and all that to show their dedication to this game and it's fandom.

    I hope the spark never dies out for Ocarina and it continues to live on as one of the greatest if not best game of all time.    … Expand

    La historia está muy bien planteada, la narrativa es impecable, los escenarios son únicos, el arte visual es fantástico, los controles son intuitivos, la explicación de las mecánicas de juego son claras y se encargan de que el usuario entienda a la perfección lo que tiene que hacer antes de continuar, los enemigos son suficientemente molestos    ¡Uno de los mejores juegos que haya jugado!
    La historia está muy bien planteada, la narrativa es impecable, los escenarios son únicos, el arte visual es fantástico, los controles son intuitivos, la explicación de las mecánicas de juego son claras y se encargan de que el usuario entienda a la perfección lo que tiene que hacer antes de continuar, los enemigos son suficientemente molestos sin dejar de ser disfrutables, la música fue hecha con gran detalle explorando más de un género, instrumentos variados y arreglos meticulosamente creados.
