I love the games but still liked this too. I was sceptical at first when i saw some of the cast and saw little of the trailers, but it turned out great. the only critique i have is a major and just small little nit-picky things.
I didnt like Yennefer plot so much, it felt pushed and not alot was going on as i always wanted to go back to Geralt or ciri's story plot. Then the story time jumps was little confusing but i get why they decided to do it.

Then the casting for some characters like Triss i didnt like, the end scene with Geralt and Ciri finally meeting could have been better and nilfards armor is just stubidly **** looking hopefully that Changes in the next season. But those are just minor complains.

Overhaul great start for a series and was better than i expected it to be. I can't wait to see more as i see the passion of the actors, the crew and Netflix they had for this, especially Henry cavill who loves the Witcher and Geralt. 8/10 for me.

When Iheard that Superman was playing Geralt, I was prepared for disappointment. It wasn't until I saw the 2nd trailer that I became interested. I am a fan of the games and have not heard much about the books, so I am coming from that perspective. I have to say that this show won me over and did so rather quickly. My initial thoughts on the casting was that it really took me by surprise. I thought the choices made were a bit odd, however, each character ends up feeling believable. Now, I really appreciate the unassuming casting that the show has. No one stands out as the expected perfect fit, which makes the characters feel fresh and appropriate in what feels like a well built chaotic world. If everything were perfect, this show, like everything else on film today, would feel formulaic. Instead I find myself pleasantly surprised by finally not knowing what to expect from Hollywood. The key beats in the story are there and names and places all feel familiar, but nothing feels "typical". This isnt a perfect show, but it does a great job of pacing each character's story through the season so that you understand the motivations, relationships and political situations in the world. the sword play is fantastic and it has a great balance of episodic one off episodes with a steady moving larger story line. something that most TV shows fail miserably at. Superman plays Geralt in a way where he starts to feel like the obvious pick for the role. Both Yennifer and Geralt's characters are complex and understandably jaded. The show is a good blend of action, romance, hope, humor and world building. my main complaint is that its only 8 episodes. a great 1st season that sets the series up for a bright future. Expand

Pluses:
Good acting, descent cast, pretty close following the book, awesome show's atmosphere overall.

Minuses:
Not the best costumes, ragged narrative.

In general, a good show, I hope in the second season it will only get better.

Its ok we know how it works. The Mandolorian was just plain boring at times no character development and just not as good but ok VENT is over....I really enjoyed this show. Didnt think it would be good but it surprised me. Was it the best show no but it definitely can be rewatched and Im definitely looking forward to season 2. I liked how they tried to do something different by telling the story through different timelines was it the best or what we are use too?? No not at all but by the end I liked how they at least tried and smoothed it out by the last episode. Not a fan of cliffhanger seasons but will give you guys a pass again for the effort. It took some brass to try and make this show being mostly connected to a video game with the books not bringing in the majority of the popularity but you pulled it off. CONGRATS!! Expand

Uma experiência muito boa. Vale a pena assistir, totalmente.

A atuação é boa e a trilha sonora é realmente boa.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A Coin To Your Witcher Expand

It had a lot of potential to be a disaster as Netflix sometimes manage to butcher some good source materials but it was quite surprising. It was definitely not what I expected having only played The Witcher 3 but I welcome this surprise. Sure, the cast could have been better but I got the same bold and sarcastic Geralt and the ambitious Yennefer I knew from the game universe. The first episode wasn't impressive and almost make me regret starting it but once the story starts unfolding for real I was hooked. Awesome fight scenes
Amazing music
All of jaskier's (Dandelion) scenes
The monster are both Bad ass and terrifying
I also loved the focus on Yennifer and Ciri and showing the core three in different periods.

Cons:
The show does overlook some key parts from the books.
They could of done better casting wise.
The story line can be hard to follow for some people. mainly the fact that the show takes part in different time peroids.

Don’t expect GOT, it has not the same budget and writers. The characters seem a bit shallow. But a lot has to do with the fact that it is written as an introduction. Also the world building seems at time a bit empty. But at times it hits the right atmosphere and gives me hope for what it can become. I like Henry Cavill as Geralt and the other characters are growing on me. If you don’t compare it with GOT, but with other fantasy series, I it is better than most of them. Expand

As a slavic, who is deeply connected with the slavic culture, it hurts to see that slavic people are played by colored and western actors. It's also not how the source portraits it. So to not be racist against the slavic culture, the actors should be swaped with actual slavic actors. It hurts to see my culture butchered like that by a western company. You can't change minds with your films if people don't want to watch it. Maybe the people at Netflix are starting to get it (even if the circle-jerk regressive critics still don't).

If they spent a little more effort and screen time to dig into the story and a tad less on their political touch points, this can really benefit. The monster CGI fights also needed some better direction. Don't let the terri-bad first fight scene in Episode 1 put you off, it does get much better.

It was an hour long. It certainly held my attention. My wife left before the end because she hates the violence, which was considerable. I hope we will have to endure less bloodshed as the series goes on. Not that it's unrealistic, and the special effects are admirable, nor does it pander to the bloodless violence tropes of Hollywood. Perhaps there'd be less actual violence if people had a better idea what it looks like. There was some nudity and one rather chaste love scene. Compared to GoT, violence was more thematic than carnality. There was a bit more wizardry than I recall from the games, though Geralt was rather sparing in that regard.

Henry Cavill nailed Geralt, and the culminating swordplay was brilliantly executed. Roach seemed perfect for his part as well. Freya Allen as Cirilla (aka Ciri) gave us some interesting moments. The major characters looked good in their parts. Many of the minor characters had confusing accents. I felt the writing represented Geralt as I remember him, struggling to be a just and impartial actor in an unjust world that bids furiously for his allegiance. It was interesting to experience the invasion of the North by Nilfgard and to learn how Geralt became known as "The Butcher of Blaviken". I had little knowledge of Renfri and her tribe before this episode brought her alive. The same with Ciri's family.

Online reviews of the series have been mixed at best. In some ways, perhaps it follows too closely on the heels of GoT, while being even more weird and revolting. I plan to continue watching at weekly intervals. I don't think fans of the main character will be too disappointed.

Excerpts from other reviews:

"Over at Rotten Tomatoes, Netflix's The Witcher has a "rotten" (but barely) score of 58% from critics with an enthusiastic 91% audience score. As we showed in our roundup of The Witcher reviews, most critics found something positive to say amidst constructive criticism." -CinemaBlend

"I’m definitely not averse to the wild extremes of this genre — shout-out to the visceral blood terrors of Adult Swim’s Primal — but the first episode felt like cheese gone moldy. That nude bordello really edged the whole vibe in a fratty direction, and the long running time required a lot of take-forever talk about prophecies and destiny. Did you watch further into the season?" -Entertainment Weekly

Episode 2 did not disappoint. Anya Chalotra is BRILLIANT as Yennefer! I never fully understood her witchy personality before. Also I thought they did a splendid job of painting the elves in a sympathetic light. Joey Batey plays Jaskier the Bard, better know as Dandelion, and apparently sang his own songs as well. I found his personality highly annoying, but he has a sweet, well-controlled tenor; he's also quite the skilled lutanist. This episode helped my understanding of the Conjunction of the Spheres and its implications for elven-kind. There's a heavy dose of 'feel for the underdog' here. I hope we meet a few sympathetic human characters before the end.

In episode three I noted a relentless emphasis on the horrific aspects of Sapkowski's stories. I think this material will be too strong for the taste of most adults.

Episode 4 lacks subtlety.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Henry had a beautiful character play, I wish his time on a show was more.
Yenifer stole more than half of the show time for yourself (does this serial called Witcher?)
Yenifer was the most useless and selfish character in the fight in the last episode. This is your diversity show Triss and Yenifer as similar visual characters? Maybe at least make different hair color?
What the point of so much silence faces in dialogs? To show that character a little stupid and need so much time to think?
Why all black characters have main secondary roles or powerful roles? I don't have anything against black people in power, but why only powerful roles? Isn't this a little bit of racism? Dialogues have some problems, telling obvious things to fulfil time not cool.
It easy to see that this is a modern people in old clothes, not like people feel and play like characters of those old times.
Ciri beautiful character pick, but sometimes a little bit stupid. I understand that she afraid of everything and very young. But not in the 10nd ep, she saw more **** that everyone reading this already, it need to be some grow of character during 10 episodes.
Too many feminists monologues. Stop forcing this pls, we are live on equal society, don't make it matriarch.
Can't not mention Joey's good screenplay and witcher song :)
All in all, I awaiting for new parts of the series but hope producing will be better...

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

Expand

Prologue: Lauren Schmidt couldn't handle Witcher.
Not only the way the story is presented to the viewer is awful and way too confusing but also decisions she made in regard to how characters should look are arbitrary and irrational. Act 1: Utter failure.
Triss Merigold has golden chestnut chairs and big blue eyes and is one of the most striking and vivid characters in the Witcher lore. Everyone understands it just not damn Netflix which completely fails to choose decent lookalike for this role.
On another hand, Yennefer face has a triangle shape and pale skin while Netflix went "screw it" and choose actress with a square jaw and brown skin tone.

Act 2: Seriously! What are you doing?!
Most armies in the show have proper armours but for some reason, Nilfgaardians look like clowns wrapped in black paper frills. How can this show get so many minor things right but completely fail at so many major and obvious things?

Act 3: Hope
Show gets saved by Henry Cavill, Freya Allan and Emma Appleton.
While some scenes are ruined by uneven or just plain bad CGI and utterly mismatched actors Cavill, Frey and Emma still deliver great performance.

Epilogue: 3 characters saved the day.
If not for Henry, Freya and Emma this show would sink the bottom of the ocean faster than Titanic after hitting the iceberg.

It contains much of what you would want in a western fantasy, but the execution is not always what I would have hoped for. The story itself is nothing special, but somehow still managed to get me invested from the start. I don’t really know what part of the story gripped my attention, I just know for a fact that I couldn’t stop thinking and wondering of what was going to happen next.

The biggest surprise for me is how solid the acting is, especially Henry Cavill as Geralt, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer and Joey Batey as Jaskier. If only the writers would have done an equally good job, unfortunately they didn’t which made some dialogues feel very amateurish. Though most dialogue was actually good, but the ones that were bad stuck out like a sore thumb and cheapened the experience in more ways than bad dialogue usually does for me. And that’s a good summation of the show overall. Most things are good, but the bad somehow becomes very memorable and noticeable which makes the show feel very cheap and amateurish in certain instances.

There are some things that obviously needs to be fixed in the next season, but nothing so big that it can’t be done. I have high hopes that the ones in charge manage to solve the problems. If they do that and the story manages to pick up a little then I am sure that I’m going to love it, because It has already grabbed my attention, but I’m not fully hooked yet.

It's very immersive despite the nonlinear storytelling, which is actually used quite well and isn’t a gimmick. I was able to connect the dots very easily between episodes that are set years apart. The visuals are good, especially the CGI monsters. I was also really worried that the soundtrack would disappoint me after having heard Witcher 3’s amazing soundtrack but thankfully, it did not. All in all, the show adapts the source material well enough but there are some issues. For example, some scenes and dialogue (in the earlier episodes) are completely unnecessary and to my knowledge, are not from the books but they do add to the character development and world-building. The casting is mostly good. Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, Queen Calanthe, and Jaskier (Dandelion) are standouts among the cast, especially Geralt. Henry Cavill does a great job as Geralt. However, they completely miscast Fringilla Vigo. The actress stands out like a sore thumb. She just doesn't fit in. She is a "diversity" cast and yes, the casting breaks canon if you know about her relationship to specific characters who have yet to appear in the show. It's honestly cringe-worthy but thankfully, she has very little screen time in the first season. Then there's Triss, who is a ginger with auburn (chestnut) hair but in the show, she looks like a peasant with dark brown hair. The actress herself is very beautiful but the showrunners put very little effort into making her look like Triss Merigold. As someone who got introduced to the Witcher universe through the games first and books second, it's hard to reconcile with the peasant-like Triss from the show. I sincerely hope that they dye her hair to make it more visibly auburn in season 2.

Look, it's a really good show. It’s only 8 episodes and doesn’t overstay its welcome. It left me wanting more. I honestly didn’t expect it to be good because the showrunner and her staff are prone to a certain kind of behavior on social media. I really wish Hollywood elites stop inflicting their will on the rest of the world. There are other diverse cultures outside the USA that don't need to be overridden by Hollywood's mandatory "diversification."

Quanto as outras interpretações, nada chama muita atenção.

Pros:

Pleasant music
The plot, where there are no differences with the books is quite good
Great sword fighting
Cons:
Graphics, it is evident that there is not enough budget, there is little magic and all of it is merged. Dragons are poorly drawn. Well, the backs of some scenes are not very good
The complexity of the plot and the lack of dates, people unfamiliar with the universe will easily get confused
Unnecessary death of some characters
Poor disclosure of the characters of elves and dryads, and just missed branch Dol Blattana and the Blue Mountains, but this may be a problem of lack of funds, but nevertheless, these events are interesting and due to their absence, some character motivation is lost and logical gaps are created.

They needed to do another 2-4 series and then they could reveal some interesting points

No Spoiler.
I will make a list of things I really liked and what threw me off.

Good things:
Actors- All the actors did a fantastic job. The charachtets and the vibe they own is out of this world in both the games and the books, considering how hard and complicated it was, especially Geralt, they did good.

Sword fights- Very well done, also the witcher signs are cool. I would love to see more then the aard

Crudelty- The world of the witcher is cruel and full of blood and sadness, it's part of the magic. Glad they included that.

Story_ I like the story and the adaptation.

Negative things:
Geralt **** hair - I am sorry, but in some scenes the hair system Henry has to ware sucks and looks very very fake. True fans know how much important Geralts' hair are, that's why he is the white wolf. Not a small detail.

Special effects ( Monsters in particular)- Now, if you do a series about the witcher world, monsters are a big component. Not all special effects are bad, in fact, some of them, are really really good. But the monsters...sooo fake and badly done. I know they are heavy money to make, but again, it's the witcher: monsters must be scary, look scary and move in the correct way, if you really want to give the series the game and the book vibes.

Geralt's eyes- They are circular, and I am fine with that. But again, you can easly tell they are fake. They look fine in the dark, but extremely fake under the light. Costumes- Well, Nilfgard armour....you know already. But also, I don't like Geralt armour. Looks like a piece of plastic. Other are good

Geralt is too mad- Geralt is a very very very very complicated charcter. I understand it must not have been easy for Henry to do him, but he always looks mad which is not true in both games and books. Geralt knows when to look scary, but the majority of the time he is an observer, someone who prefers to stand aside and not take any position, also knowing to hide emotions. Henry looks mad 70% of the time as Geralt and bever never never shows his incredible, chill, outstanding side. That' what makes a great Geralt in my opinion, something the games have done perfectly.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Overall I think the show is good but to say it's great or above a 7 (as someone who's only played 2 and 3 of the games and read one of the books) would be disingenuous, it has some rather glaring flaws that should be rectified in the second season.

SPOILERS BELOW: The show is following the story of the books. Season 1 is based on the first two books which are a set of short stories. I'll give my props to the writers for managing to make it somewhat coherent however the changing between timelines is just confusing and unless you're paying full attention you will end up feeling very confused as the show goes on. That is in my opinion the biggest flaw.

The casting isn't amazing but works, standout actors being Henry Cavill as Geralt and Joey Batey as Jaskier (Dandelion). They played their roles phenomenally and the chemistry between them makes in my opinion the best moments within the whole of the series. Yennefer's actress, Anya Charlotta, grew in me as the show went on and I'd say she did a good job. However the actress playing Triss, Anna Shaffer, just didn't feel right as Triss is meant to be youthful, childish and like a big sister and I just didn't get that from her. I hope she improves next season. The rest of the cast were good and I don't feel like there were any other stand out performances.

Should you watch it, I'd say yes but DO NOT expect the next game of thrones or you will be sorely disappointed.

2-what is this CGI its Really bad and Laughable. what's wrong with you netflix, game of thrones season 1 had 60 million and the witcher had around 70–80 million, but game of thrones season 1 CGI was much better.
3- ciri arc from episode 2-6 was just a fillers and had no Effect on her story, its not even fun

Unfortunately we live in a society today that people are easily offended because there is diversity in a show as if they are not racist for saying so. It is a fantasy world so no there is no rules to follow, and again it is made for a modern audience not just those that have no concept of art and are only gaming. Expand

The Witcher series has more potential. Season 1 was nice but was little bit fast paced.

First of, Henry Cavill as Geralt is the best part of this show. No doubt about that. The show is worth watching just for his portrayal. He really cares about the character. The fight Choreography is nice. Moments between Jaskier and Geralt were also nice. There were some bad casting choices like Triss, Foltest and the Driads.

All in all its worth the watch if you're a fan of the Witcher games/books. I can't praise Henry enough for his performance though. Seriously.

The cast itself was very good. Henry Cavill (Geralt), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer) and Freya Allan (Ciri) all did a great job in my opinion. And the action was also very good, the fight scene at the end of the first episode and the last episode in gerenal were both fantastic (action wise). However he negative of this series is the story. I had to look at multiple explanations online as it is pretty confusing and jumps around timewise. I think the fact that the episodes aren't in chronologial order does a disservice and once I properly understood the story it all seemed better, but viewers shouldn't need to look at recaps onlin, the sries should make it clear. Now as I said, I did enjoy the series as a whole and I'm looking forward to season 2, but I really hope they improve on the story and make it more logical because this series has potentiall and it would be a shame it it didn't live up to it Expand

Unfortunately not, but pleasantly surprised and not bad at all. Surprisingly, it's great. Putting Henry Cavill in the role of The Witcher was a good choice in my opinion, but what was not a very good choice is no offense to actress Triss, who is a black woman. I'm not a racist or anything, but I'm just supposed to be a white Triss character and I stand for it. On the other hand, Yennefer was most pleased. Her storyline was the best and, conversely, Ciri had the worst storyline, which sometimes had boring parts. . But overall, this is a great series that I can recommend.
Season 1 - 8/10

There's no nuance to any of them, and I didnt really see their character arcs (except Yennefer, and it's short).

Most of the supporting characters are also annoyingly try-hard. Jaskier's jokes are supposed to bring relief but as the show progressed they became cringier. His whole persona is trite and robs scenes of their seriousness.

The main thing that I really enjoyed was the lore of the magic and monsters. Seeing Yennefer become acquainted with the rules of magic and learning about the monsters Geralt was hunting was entertaining.

Henry Cavill is back (as gloomy as ever) in the title role as a monster killer. He’s partnered with Ciri (Freya Allan), as she prepares to take her place in history. The first season was more rugged and raw. There were lots of silly names and exotic places, but the monsters were more prevalent and the action more intense. Season Two obviously had a bigger budget: The dramatic locales, exotic costumes and CGI effects are all greatly improved. However, the story is more disjointed with multiple locations, time periods and storylines to make matters more complex. There’s also too much expository dialogue and needless discussion that interrupts the flow of action and adventure. Still, it's one of the better current fantasy series. (First season of 8 episodes was released in 2019 and 2nd season episodes is playing with a 3rd season announced. ) Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Those racists here should really get their head out of their arse.First of all the story plays in a fantasy world. It's not medieval eastern Europe. It's not even remotely like medieval eastern Europe so the idea that everybody should be white is pure racist preconception. Second of all if you are so obsessively preoccupied with the color of people's skin that says more about you than about the series. Seriously, get help.
The series has strong points and weak points.
Strong:The hack & slash scenes are second to none. Brilliant sword play and buckets of blood. The sex scenes could be a bit more explicit.I mean if you are going to do it, do it right like GOT in the beginning.Still i'm glad they didn't sanitize it. And the world is beautifully created, both dark and gritty as well as clean and elegant.
Weak points: It is written for the Witcher die hard fan base. The characters including Geralt himself aren't properly introduced.Presumably because the writers are fans themselves and they know all these characters. I myself have played the first pc game and part of the second. But to me a lot of the characters are rather flat and it's not always clear why they do what they do.The main story line is hard to follow to be honest after one season I'm still not sure where it is all going. And the fact that they don't tell the story chronologically doesn't help.At a certain point you can watch for half an hour and not be quite sure where in the time line they are.And then there is this war and Nilfgaard are the bad guys I suppose. But why what and who they are, I don't know.Actually the only character that is properly introduced is Renfri and she's killed of by Geralt in the first episode. If it had been the other way around the series might have become a lot more interesting.
All in all it is an entertaining show, but they do need to work on their story telling and character development if they want to move from a cult fan show to GOT appeal.I would give it a 6.5. It is not terrible but it needs work.

Though the cgi IS truly terrible at times, as are the shockingly cheap sets. The acting is too often confused and wooden as the script is a complete mess. All likley due to the weak direction and a total lack of quality control. Not sure who to blame but it's likely the show runner who has a track record of hit and miss projects. Sadly this is no game of thrones! It does get better as it goes along (but not by much) though it's just so much worse than the books or game or even the anime. The brand deserves so much better. The anime despite it's own problems really nails the feeling of what it is to be a witcher while this show doesn't have a clue. It's embarrassing at times how cheap and lazy the production is. I believe Henry has actually taken tips from fans for s2 because he had as much of a clue who Geralt was.. as the show runner. It's a real shame as the casting is excellent as is the source material. The show is technically based on the books but clearly the games as well even if its not officially acknowledged. The show is much like xena and hercules but not as fun. It's also inexplicably dumb at times but this might be due to the misuse of the giant budget. Also Its filmed in a weird disconnected order to its detriment as it confuses viewers. I believe this was the show runner attempting to make the missteps in production more interesting in editing. Maybe season 2 will be better now it's so popular. I Hope so. Worth a look but keep expectations low. Like really low...as there are equal good parts as there are clunky stinking ones :( Also if you do love the games go watch the nightmare of the wolf anime first. It's meant to help with season 2 but it's just so much truer to the brand than much of season 1. 6/10 Season 2 review: Google review doesn't discern between entire seasons lol so I've added 1 extra star. Season 2 is significantly better. The writing is still poor and the show runner is still mucking things up. The sex and nudity is long gone because the show runner thinks it covers up bad writing which it does but now we just have bad writing and excessive violence. Because the bodies we all share is far more offensive than cutting off people's limbs. The cgi is still far from perfect but it is alot better in that it's now acceptable to good rather than bad. The acting is still strong among the lead characters though minor ones struggle with the weak screenplay. Though the overall story is far more vague with far less actually happening and lots of names or places and people without much explanation. There are actual monsters now to fight so a real result and the action scenes are far more competent. Geralt is still as good as ever though he's a little more loving now. Yen is yen but with more clothes. Vesimir is quite good. The mages still scheme. Same old same old. The budget of ten plus million dollars doesnt feel like it's being spent well. There is still room for significant improvement. This is no game of thrones but atleast it's no longer Xena warrior princess. 8/10 Expand

However it does have a number of issues that hold it back. Let's talk about the positives first. Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia is fantastic. He kills it with his performance as adeptly as Geralt could cleave a Nekker in two with his Silver Sword. His mannerisms and speech feel like he has been cloned from Witcher 3 voice actor Doug Cockle. Other standouts are Freya Allen as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, MyAnna Buring as Tissaia De Vries who also voiced Anna Henrietta in the Witcher 3 Blood and Wine. But the real surprise came in the form of Joey Batey who plays the bard Jaskier (or Dandelion for those who are fans of the games). "Toss a Coin to your Witcher" is such a catchy tune and he plays the part perfectly.

Other casting choices I am less sold on. The choices of Fringilla Vigo and Triss Merigold I haven't been sold on yet. Hopefully my opinion changes in future seasons. The set design and in particular the monster design and visual effects are all well done. There are some truly spectacular monster designs here. More than I thought we would get. The downside is that some of the fight scene choreography while fast paced and action packed? There are moments that really push the suspension of disbelief. And yes I know Geralt is a mutant. But stabbing a guy in the leg I don't think would be quite enough to dispatch him if his adrenaline was pumping. Geralt handles the sword and has it behind his back at one point. Then there is the amount of twirling which leaves his back open. The armor of the Cintrans and Temerians looks fantastic. However what has been done to the nilfgaard armor is absurd. Narrative structure is a bit confusing. You jump between multiple characters at multiple points in time. It's not until about the 5th or 6th episode that these disparate timelines are brought together. They show you scenes you had already seen but from a different perspective adding new context. It's clever but can be a bit jarring to some. It eventually does make sense as you see new scenes inserted into these familiar snippets you have already seen. It's non linear storytelling and fortunately season 2 from the sounds of it will avoid this. It's certainly worth a watch for any fan of the series and I will say that a 2nd watch does add some greater context.

Henry Cavill does an excellent job portraying Geralt of Rivia. Why a 6/10 then? Only because of the extremely jarring and forced inclusion of Black individuals in what is essentially medieval Eastern Europe. Every scene they appear in, the immersion is utterly broken and they stand out like sore thumbs. Really, a "brother" in a group of Slavic cutthroats, dressed in a European Serf outfit?

This is a clear example of the mind poison of English progressivism/inclusiveness ideology bringing down an otherwise great show for absolutely no good reason.
