Jan 1, 2020Liked it a lot. It's not perfect but very very good. The acting was great, especially liked Henry's Geralt and Yennefer :)
-
-
Dec 22, 2019This was a good show. The only people giving this a bad score are autistic racists screeching about the color of certain characters and not being "white" enough. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
-
Dec 21, 2019Great start to the show. Looking forward to season 2 when everything starts to come together and be more clear. Laughing at the egregious reviews (EW) which didn't even watch the entire show before scoring it.
-
Dec 20, 2019Good series. Very good. Very more true for the series
Like Geralt and his horse for good horse things. -
Dec 21, 2019As a fan of books, and games I recommend it. You need to know a little bit of background though to really enjoy it.
-
Dec 21, 2019Amazing, a must watch. The show really brigs the entire Witcher world to life!!!
-

Dec 22, 2019I didn't have high expectations after watching trailers, but it's a very good show, a great fantasy world on tv.

Dec 23, 2019GOD Awful.. seriously? People like this? How can someone be SO disgustingly biased. Can't you see the 'netflix' horrific casting? horrific actors? horrific story, effects..
BELLOW ZERO
I turned it off (mid Djinn episode) and never watching again , except maybe if i wana browse my phone while this crap is playing. -
Dec 23, 2019Things can be a little confusing if you haven't played the games, but I was pleasantly surprised after enduring the first episode (which was pretty lame). It does a good job of invoking the feel of the game on a limited budget.
Its no Game of Thrones, but it is a cut above many fantasy book/game translations.
Worth a watch. -

Dec 21, 2019Decent production value, the plot, scriptwriting and dialogues are a complete letdown. Confusing mess designed to appeal the usual target of American teenagers. It was a difficult task but they managed to make the witcher material boring even for a fan like me.

Dec 24, 2019Liked it, despite the odd actor choices for a couple of characters. Overall, it has a promising start and I hope the next season delivers even more. Could become even bigger than GoT, providing Netflix has half a brain to promote this show and cancel some of its other garbage series.
-
Dec 23, 2019I understand it can be confusing at times for audience new to witcher genre. I remember when i was reading books at first you start with stories and then saga begins which is much better. In new season saga should start and it should be better with every episode actionwise. They should change few things but i really enjoyed watching
-
Jan 5, 2020An interesting start that many criticise because they did not pay attention.
The short stories are interesting, the back stories of each character help to establish them in the world and the 3 leads are strong.
I look forward to next season where the group as a whole can develop together rather than in separate stories and timelines -
Dec 28, 2019Enjoyed the cast and performances. Like the stories of each character and different timelines coming together. Hope it gets more than 2 seasons.
-
Dec 28, 2019Intriguing, different and left you wanting more!
Henry is great as gets it. Can recommend. -

Dec 27, 2019Toss a coin to your witcher!!!! O Valley of Plenty! Amazing show one of the best Netflix have produced. I will wait for season 2 !!!!!!
-
Dec 25, 2019absolutely terrific !!! for those who are finding too difficult to follow the different storylines I'd suggest to read a book from time to time (maybe a fantasy one just for a change)

Dec 28, 2019I'd give this an 8.5, i really liked the story. The only problem is that it starts kind of slow, but as it keeps on going, it gets better. this is a show that demands from the viewer to be invested. Most people who put a bad mark either didn't get past episode 2 or got offended by the casting, i feel like eveything was on point, can't wait for season 2

Dec 22, 2019A lot of potential. Compelling story line takes time to build. Some choices in "character" design can be questionable. Editing and cinematography can come off as jarring or peculiar. Overall the show is more grounded and real vs cheesy and flat.
-
Dec 23, 2019I really really enjoyed this show. If you love fantasy with a great story and great characters then this show is for you. The timeline gets a little confusing but it all makes sense in the end and you will appreciate it
-
-
Dec 23, 2019I really enjoyed the 8 episode Witcher series, and I look forward to the 2nd season. I had some problems with some parts, but all in all, I enjoyed what this series tried to do.

Dec 24, 2019Other than the sometimes confusing shifts of timeperiods, really satisfied with how this turned out. Cavill proves to be a great witcher with some amazing cast for the other aswell.
Hoping this will get many more seasons!
Fun to see some scenes from the books in live action, just as how you imagined them! -

Dec 28, 2019This is the Witcher, if you liked the books or games, you will love it. Unless you are racist of course, and then it'll annoy you.
-
Dec 28, 2019In my opinion the first episode is mediocre, but stick through it, the second one is better already, and the more the plot advanced, the more I enjoyed it (final-wow). Not a perfect show, but worth watching.
-
Dec 28, 2019I really enjoyed it. Of course, there were some minor flaws but overall it was such a great first season. I would recommend it. The story was captivating and every time an episode ended i wanted to watch the next one as soon as I could. The cast was amazing too. Can't wait for Seasons 2.

Jan 1, 2020Promising, but kinda stalled and fell apart in the middle. There are some good parts but the flow didn’t seem natural and it definitely tried too hard. I went in wanting to like it, thus the 6, but honestly, maybe more of a 5.

Jan 4, 2020It's really great and interesting fantasy show. It's not GOT, it's something else that only looks simillar. Actors are absolutly GREAT.
-
Jan 7, 2020I've read all the books on the Witcher. There are some inconsistencies, but it's still a good film adaptation. The series does not necessarily have to repeat the books and games on the Witcher. The series should be independent and not repeat after others.
-
Dec 20, 2019Magnificent. If you miss GOT and looking for something as good or even better this is definitely worth watching.
-
Dec 20, 2019Massive fan of the game and I thought the show nailed it (the 5 episodes I’ve seen so far)

-
Dec 20, 2019For me the series turned out to be solid 8.5 / 10. + I read all the books and watched all the games and the series + - I’m satisfied

-
Dec 21, 2019Just like the game series and the books, #TheWitcherNetflix manages to pull me completely into this world.
I'm really excited about this successful interpretation of the Witcher universe.
It doesn't bother me at all that some characters look different because they all play their roles very well. Since I can separate series and game series well. -
Dec 21, 2019+ Henry as Geralt (he is great)
+ action scanes
- not canonical
- chronology of time (you can get lost)
- unnecessary flashbacks.
It was enough to start with the saga and not loose stories.
I look forward to the second season. -
Dec 20, 2019Great show, amazing visuals, great acting. It is true that for some people it may be difficult to follow the timeline but wasn't for me

Dec 20, 2019Pretty good adaptation of the books, although overly complicated and convoluted for those that haven't read them.
-
Dec 20, 2019Of course, The Witcher's first season is not without its flaws, but all things considered, it is a fine beginning for a hopefully long a successful series.
-
Dec 20, 2019the series is not a masterpiece but I enjoyed watching it I hope season 2 will be cooler
-
Dec 20, 2019Really loved this show. Read books, played games and happy that this adaptation was not disappointing. Can't wait for season two.

-
Dec 20, 2019The acting is good. Cavill played Geralt perfectly. Choreography is also not far behind. The plot is competently changed, but sometimes it was a shame to listen to the dialogues. I hope that there will be no such drawbacks by the second season. I advise you to familiarize yourself.
-
Dec 25, 2019what an atrocity, they bastardized such a great series, how much did they offer to the author to let this kind of **** slide, the guy has no pride in his work to just let ****flix destroy it. the only saving grace is Cavill, and even then he alone can not save this steaming pile. 0/0.
-
Dec 28, 2019**** this TV show just failed under tolerated laws of western world. Slovak person should be white. I am Belarusian I know what I am talking about.
-
Dec 22, 2019Played the video games, love the show, planning to read the books. I expect most reviews don't get what is great about this show. I expect it will be a success regardless. Very true to the tone of the games.
-
Dec 21, 2019It's not easy to understand if you didn't read the books. Also 1st season is like prologue to whole story. But it's very good show. It's very entertaining. Yen, Ciri and Geralt are awesome. I didn't like Triss but it's not very important. Good joob Netflix. I'm waiting for 2nd season :)

Jan 2, 2020I am simply amazed by how fantastic this series is. From start to finish this series had me on the edge with great special effects, amazing storyline and interesting characters. If you like The Witcher you will love this series and if you haven't heard of the Witcher before you are about to become a fan! Best series of 2019 (runner up being The Mandalorian).

Dec 21, 2019This is the amazing series. And before you start to review it, please, just watch all episodes. All questions that definitely will occur during the first episodes will find their answers at the end.
-
Dec 21, 2019"The witcher" isn't as bad or as good as you've heard. It's OK. The series is a bit chaotic and visually uneven, but all in all it's a really original series. Folklore fairy tales full of magic for adults. Pure escapism. I liked it and I feel the second season will be an upgrade. I liked it a lot.

Dec 21, 2019This is obviously a love project. The creator's passion and love for the source material oozes through the screen. It has no right to be that good and yet I believe it can only get better.

Dec 22, 2019An Amazing and Excitinig Series!!
Many people all over the world were awaiting the release of a series that was known to be the replacement of Game of Thrones.
And i think that it's a perfect replacement.
It always had me wanting to see the next eposode to find out what would happen.
An amazing story-line and not bad acting made me loving the new netflix series -
Dec 21, 2019Read books, played the games. The show is very good both in cast and story telling. Time jumps might be a bit difficult for people who are not familiar with the story but on the whole the series is quite solid and fun to watch.

The Witcher is a messy tangle of plotlines in a world underdeveloped to the point of obscurity.
-
As a mindless fantasy rollercoaster, Geralt’s journey is five stars all the way to tea-time. Sadly, for those who like brains with their brawn, it may be more of a slog.
-
It takes a while for viewers to learn how these characters are connected, via an exasperating Westworld-esque narrative knot that takes much of the season to unfurl. ... The Witcher heightens our confusion by fumbling details that would have helped it set a cohesive tone. Dialogue vacillates, from line to line, between theatrical fantasy-speak and modern colloquialisms (“Dragons are, in fact, a thing!”).
