This is the worst Star Wars series to date. It's even worse than Book of Boba Fett. It has terrible acting, writing, characters and directing. Another "hero is broken but get saved by younger female character", except it's the ultimate face-palming pair-up on Kenobi and 8-yr old Leia. Kenobi in original Star Wars was like the ultimate sensei. Kenobi in his own series is a veritable joke. Horrible fight scene with Vader. Token characters to tick check boxes that don't do anything for the storyline. Don't bother with this show. The acting is horribad. Leia and obi wan have no idea who each other were in ANH, yet they meet 7 years prior and form a life changing bond.

What really bugs me is They dropped the ball with the "Anakin is alive" reveal.

Obi Wann should've communed with qui gonn. Qui gonn should've been the one to tell him as a force ghost.

Qui gonn had the connection to both anakin and obi wann. Qui gonn yelled out to anakin when he turned. Yoda heard it as well.

Third sister had no place to tell that reveal. It was a wasted opportunity… Expand

He is incompetent can no longer use the force has no resemblence of the fearless Jedi Master that studied harder than all of the more gifted Jedi and in the Prequels was the only Jedi to defeat 2 sith (Maul and Vader) Yet this guy is a shel... It feels like they are forcing characters to be Mary Sues that just to fit a quota. Do better disney you can have strong female and african american leads without wrinting them as a stereotype an all knowing at the same time. I love star wars but you obviously don't get star wars. You crapped on Fin shrank him on the Chinese poster(racist much) then you claim the fans are racist..Some are I am sure but if you want people to accept characters just because of their race you are not going to get us to give in. This is just another way to break down the strong male lead of Obi-Wan just like they did to Luke, and we all know the reason for it. Deborah Chow and Kathleen Kennedy have no business anywhere near a Star Wars story of any kind. Massive corporations like this will never pay attention to the true fans that want quality content that FITS the lore, they will condemn us as racists and toxic if we so much as say we disliked the show. As for the actual show itself, if you don't care about the real physics and mechanics of how something should work in real life, like a grown man being able to grab a 10 year old from 5 feet away before she escapes, this is not the series for you. The first time we see Vader and he lets his quarry of TEN YEARS just be carried away by a slow loading droid.. I don't know if I can even call this lazy writing as it takes ACTUAL THOUGHT to imagine the circumstances it would take to make ANY of this show actually make sense.
It's made for children who want nice CGI and flashy scenes and big character names, not the content or the story. This is a huge disappointment and a disaster for the Star Wars brand. I hope they don't make another season, the only way they will ever change what they're doing and listen to the real fans is with consistent, rational criticism. No amount of calling us racists or bigots will make their shows any better, and bending the knee to the greasy mouse won't make our beloved galaxy far, far away any better.… Expand

Even if you look past the fact that this series breaks canon, it’s just so poorly constructed, full of convenience, and cringy moments you cannot explain. Then there’s what’s happening outside of the series, which is just a typical corporate retaliation against the fans, who dare to not like the show. Make a good show. So yeah, the 10's are pretty much guaranteed to be false though some libtards might be responsible for those scores too.

Anyway the show is terrible and the bad scores have nothing to do with racism. Star Wars always had people of color and nobody had an issue with that. People are pissed at the bad writing, run of the mill special effects, redundant plot, mediocre acting and the ridiculous amount of agenda being shoved down their throats. Breaking the canon on numerous ocasions doesn't help either. Also the show is focusing on 3 strong women instead of our titular Jedi so we're dealing with a classic bait and switch. This show has the grease of corporate film manufacturing all over it. If you claim not to see what I'm about to describe, I implore you to open your eyes, for the good of Star Wars. Disney and Kathleen Kennedy are doing the best they can to put Luke Skywalker and the entire reason for the Star Wars story existing, in our rear view mirrors. They did it to Luke, because he was a strong male lead, with a white skin color at that! Now they're doing it with Obi Wan. In a show where we expected Obi Wan to be an older, but much wiser and more in tune with the force version of the young man we saw in Episode 3, we were instead given a frail, shell of a man. Kathleen Kennedy's version of Obi Wan is weak, hasn't used the force in 10 years even though he's suppose to somehow protect Luke? They're actively undoing everything we grew up with in order to fit the current social climate. The Force is Female, you saw it on their shirts.. and there's nothing wrong with female characters, see Leia, even Rey at first. But what they're forcing is a redemption arc for a completely unwanted character in Reva. The writing is so lazy and easy to interpret(almost like it's written for kids), that even without the spoilers, by episode 3 you can tell that Obi Wan is not the main character of this show.
You have a child version of Leia(again, for what reason? who asked for this? Why is she in OBI WAN KENOBI?) and a female villain who you've instructed in the writing to just yell all the time. Please Disney, look at your audience, instead of seeing detailed critiques from serious fans that treasure the lore and the imaginings of a galaxy far far away and calling them racist, just read them. I assure you in a MAJORITY of them, you will find legitimate critiques based on the writing, skill of the actors, or directing, and not many will you find saying they dislike the show because you cast a black woman.. what a joke.
We the fans love the original Star Wars story, we want to escape this fallen world we live in every single day, we want to escape to a galaxy far, far away. We're trying let our minds rest and dream while we watch these stories, stop bringing the woke treatment to every single thing you lackadaisically create and let us rest. Create GOOD Star Wars, or stop creating the content.

If you want further evidence of how politicized everything with the mouse's finger prints is, look at when the article for the supposed "review bombing" of this show came up, and the time stamps for the actual positive review bombing that came directly after. This is a primary sign of subpar low intelligence writers with no ideas being given a franchise that is way out of their league. The Jedi overall are also portrayed as generally incompetent and easily killed, instead of being some of the most powerful beings in the galaxy. This is Last Jedi all over again, but in a way it's worse because it's taking a lot more time over the course of an entire season and carrying out the torture slowly. Whoo boy. This is a bad show. Nonsensical and deranged for nearly its entire runtime, with the episodes getting worse as they go. Another story that did not need to be told that continues to cheapen what Star Wars used to be.
