Don't let the review-bombing, minority of the fanbase fool you, the show is good. I prefer the Mandalorian, but then Obi Wan is only halfway done. It could end up being better. In any case, It's got Ewan MacGregor, what else do you need?

I'm so impressed with this show so far. There are some awkward quirks, the chase scene and some of the parkour is a little cringey, but this is easy to overlook. Obi Wan feels exactly as I'd expect him to be, very disillusioned. Vader isI'm so impressed with this show so far. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So far this is a great series. We get to see a very broken Obi Wan after the events of Revenge of the Sith. Not only is he in hiding but is also trying to come to terms with the “death” of Anakin Skywalker and his failure to save his old apprentice. Quickly he is pushed back into the action to save a young Leia Organa. Upon which he learns about the survival of his former apprentice turned Sith Lord. Darth Vader’s character in this could not be a truer rendition of the Vader we deserve but also the Vader we now have. He is dark, merciless and without question the biggest badass to grace the small screen in a while. Could not rate this series more. 3 episodes in and I am hooked. Every character and every scene is perfectly put together and the actors nail each role. Ewan McGregor is amazing back in his role as Obi Wan.… Expand

I feel like a kid again. Ewan McGregor portrays an aging Obi-wan flawlessly and Moses Ingram brings an intensity to her character that is an absolute joy to watch. Fantastic cast, brilliant story and just really bloody good star wars.

The cinematography and score are top notch, the story and writing are incredible and Ewan McGregor & Hayden Christensen do an amazing job of breathing new life into iconic roles. The surprise stand out of a young Leia Organa makes the show all the more rewarding to watch, as well as incredible villains in the entire Inquisitor squad. Young Leia has been exactly how I imagined her, Ewan Mcgregor has done a terrific job portraying the bridge from the prequels to the original trilogy, picking up on Alec Guiness' mannerisms and attitude. Vader has been perfectly terrifying, and the way he indifferently just snapped a kids neck was the icing on the cake. Moses Ingram and the actors playing the other Inquisitors have done a great job portraying how the dark side doesn't play well with others and why the rule of two was implemented in the first place for the Sith, a tradition repeatedly broken by both Vader and Sidious have broken on numerous occasions.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Fantastic show! Ewan McGregor's acting is top notch and really portrays the struggle of Jedi after order 66. The fight between Kenobi and Vader in ep.3 is quite good - Kenobi is severely out of practice and has been closed off from the force for a decade while Vader has only grown stronger during that time, he was toying with Kenobi to showcase his power and wanted to cause him as much pain as he suffered on Mustafar. Young Leia and Reva are also doing a fantastic job at portraying their characters! My only issue with the series is the slowmo chase scenes in ep. 1 & 2 and how Vader didn't just grab the loader droid & Kenobi with the force while they were escaping - that scene could have easily been better by making Vader's cape catch on fire after the explosion, distracting him long enough for Kenobi to get away. 9/10 overall but giving it a 10/10 to compensate for review bombing morons. DISCLAIMER - if you are unable to read between the lines and infer plot points or are generally a knuckle dragging idiot in real life, you probably won't like this show.… Expand

I'm not gonna lie and say this show was perfect. There are the few caveats here and there. The story doesn't always make sense, the action shots are less than quality, the Inquisitors are horribly portrayed, I'm not sure cannon is real now,I'm not gonna lie and say this show was perfect. It's Star Wars. Granted, if this was a new Star Wars movie with new characters and new plots it would be a big issue as well. But this isn't a new movie, this isn't about new characters. It's about Kenobi and Vader. Kenobi is awesome, and my gosh, Vader is AMAZING! Who cares about anything else? The only thing I wanted from this show was Kenobi and Vader and to see how they dealt with the last time they met. That's it. That's all I wanted. I don't care about the side characters, the story, the writing, nothing. Just Kenobi and Vader. AND IT DELIVERED. So far. Can't wait for the last three episodes!… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Episide 5 is by far the best. Awesome show. The Leia kid is awesome. Darth Vader is perfect. Its exciting even though we know Ben Kenobi, luke, leia and anakin will survive. The universe is well thought of and the setting is great. Scenery is pure gold. I loved seeing Alderaan. Its the perfect follow up after ep3.

I feared Disney messing this up, but the portrayal of Obi-Wan Kenobi in this stage of his life is refreshingly believable. He's now a Jedi past his prime and lacks belief in himself due to what has happened to him and his apprentice. He's a veteran of war, likely suffering PTSD and is world weary. Currently loving the bright eyed and bushy tailed young Leia, who's innocence and naivety about the Galaxy contrasts against Obi-Wan's nervous, suspicious and tired outlook. I'm definitely excited to see where the series goes. I'm hoping other fans realise that this series is not a hark back to the golden age of Obi-Wan in his prime, but a bridge in series showing how Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan turns into Alec Guinness's… Expand

It's everything I wanted and we are only a few episodes in. Darth Vader is terrifying, and Moses Ingram has been an amazing addition to the Star Wars family.
