Super Mario 3D World already was a great game worth buying, but with the online coop and Bowser's Fury, it justifies another purchase on the Switch. The game looks and feels great, even with four players. It also brings a bit of a challenge for anyone trying to find all secrets but stays accessible for kids who just want to play. Bowser's Fury on the other hand feels a bit short and lacks a worthy coop. Still, this content is great to play, but don't expect a full adventure.- XGN

Dark Souls is one of the most difficult games of the year and adds a lot of crazy enemies and surroundings. The co-op could have been done better but that shouldn't stop you from engaging in this sixty hour long adventure.- XGN

If you're a fan of Animal Crossing or Pokémon with a Switch 2, then Pokémon Pokopia is a must buy. It's a cute cozy game that you can play at your own speed, while also being surprisingly hard to put down. The story conclusion is a little disappointing and the controls can be a little unruly, but the game is so much fun that these small issues are easy to ignore.- XGN

Fez is a videogame with brilliant puzzles that will kill your brain. It might take you a while to crack one of these puzzles, but the payoff is great! Together with the beautiful and atmospheric graphics, Fez makes for one hell of an Xbox Live Arcade game.- XGN

Dead Space is a great re-invention of the original that perfectly balances the look and feel of the original, while incorporating new and updated gameplay elements of later entries in the series. Gamers will feel right at home while playing, but will enjoy the many improvements. Graphics and sound are brought up to date with current standards, making this the true definitive version of Dead Space.- XGN

With Guitar Hero 5 Neversoft almost succeeded in creating the perfect music game. Only some small mistakes prevent this game from scoring the complete 100 points. Still this game is the best music game at this moment.- XGN

Final Fantasy VII Remake just got even better. With the new options in the free PS5 upgrade, you can choose between graphics and performance. The new DLC adds about 5 hours of gameplay starring Yuffie for a reasonable price. It's long enough and it adds enough, but just not enough to buy the entire package anew if needed.- XGN

Rolling Gunner + Overpower is a really cool shmup. The game gives you a big spree from the start and lets you battle huge bosses with bullet hell guns. Unfortunately the game is really short and there is no co-op mode available. Still ,this is a game you must play, even if the price is a bit high.- XGN

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is even more approachable than its predecessors. The game includes a lot of diverse activities, and because of that it never feels repetitive. All the game asks of you is a little bit of patience.- XGN

A brilliant game that has so many small details that you'll get lost in its world. The conversations could have been a bit better but this never becomes a bother. The amount of freedom will overwhelm you and will bring you back for many more play throughs to come.- XGN

Team Bondi and Rockstar have made something completely unique and appealing. Los Angeles is full of bad guys and finding them may not always be that difficult. It is however always fun to do so. Making L.A. Noire a truly inspirational game that will last for hours.- XGN

While the sequel doesn't deviate far from the trodden path, it improves every aspect of the first time we got to travel with Sam. Less walking, more enemies, more variety in infrastructure and some light RPG elements make this a less revolutionary, but vastly improved experience.- XGN

With a welcome new location, two beloved heroes and a tight storyline that combines main and sidequests like never before, Infinite Wealth might be less crazy than before, but much more compelling and coherent. The combat has been upped with jobs and bonds. As a downside, the added resort island management feels like a mis-fire, but is fortunately mostly optional.- XGN

Split Fiction was a great game on other consoles and that fact remains true on the Switch 2. The frantic gameplay and diverse worlds run smoothly on Nintendo's new console, though the graphics did take a step back. It's a shame, however, that you can't play the game with one set of Joy-Cons, but thankfully Hazelight made it as easy as possible to share the adventure on another Switch.- XGN

Dreams is an achievement in gaming thanks to its endless possibilities for creations while making it fun to play as well. The easy to understand creator tools allow the players to go wild with their ideas while offering up a short, but great story of its own as well. A plethora of great creations can already be found and we can't wait to see what the Dreams community comes up with next.- XGN

No Time Left is the finale of an emotional adventure that is told in the best way possible. Never did we have such compassion for a game character. Even after a few years you will remember Clementine and Lee and the hard choices you had to make. An amazing ending to an amazing game.- XGN

By making The Beatles: Rock Band, Harmonix did a really good job and the game is certainly good in all ways. Unfortunately the few new things aren't all useful and the game doesn't support the other Rock Band content. However, this game is full of Flower Power and therefore you really need to play this at least once in your life.- XGN

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is a love letter to the original games thanks to the easy to pick-up, hard to master gameplay. With a great deal of customization to boot and multiple multiplayer options, there is a ton of time to be spent here for a great price. Graphics could've been better at times, but that almost doesn't even matter because you'll be way more focused on the phenomenal soundtrack.- XGN
