Mark of the Ninja has almost everything you can wish for in a game like this. The animations are wonderful and the soundtrack suits the game well. You can play the game in various ways and this extends its lifespan. With a minor flaw the game may not be perfect, but the game is very close to it.

The game features a whole bunch of additions, of which the main innovation is the new multiplayer mode. This new game in the franchise is once again a top shelf production, but it's not for people who like quick action, because the use of stealth is always needed.

NBA 2K17 is the best basketball game ever. The wonderful graphics, realistic MyCareer mode, extensive MyGM, the new and better dribbling system and the balanced MyTeam make the game the best in the series so far.

Obsidian's Pentiment is not for everyone, but this RPG does offer a fascinating look at the religious and political unrest of the early sixteenth century. A variety of backgrounds and a time limit that doesn't allow you to pursue every plot thread in one playthrough, it also offers good replayability. Unfortunately, it also somewhat overstays its welcome when the last hours repeat a lot of what you already know. The Switch port isn't flawless, but will suit you just fine if this is your platform of choice.

The excellent platforming and the 3D images ensure a creative mixture between the old and new Mario. Maybe a less agile Mario than we're used to, but that has it's charm in some ways. Thanks to the extremely varied environments and the succesful usage of 3D, Super Mario 3D Land is by far the best Mario game for the 3DS.

Pullblox is a must have for the 3DS. The simplistic concept results in a large amount of phenomenal puzzles, easily keeping you busy for a while. After that you can go nuts in the great level-editor. It's a shame that your created levels can't be shared online, though!

Episode 5 is a home run for Telltale and the entire Tales from the Borderlands series. Witty, heart-wrenching and so damn well-written. The perfect final episode to a perfect series. Now we'll wait for season 2.

With Sekiro Shadows Die Twice proves FromSoftware still knows how to put their 'soulslike'-concept to the best of use. Although the game introduces a tremendous load of changes to the formula, it still knows how to create that same euphoric experience.

Total War: Shogun 2 combines the best aspects from every Total War game ever made. It's less complicated than Empire yet it brings more to the table. Creative Assembly has shown that, even after ten years, this franchise is only getting better.

Nearly every issue from last year has been fixed, but it's a shame that some online issues still appear. But even with all the other minor issues found throughout the game, NBA 2K12 is a very solid presentation.

Astro Bot Rescue Mission is the best game for PlayStation VR to date. The levels are brilliant and the VR-experience is overwhelming. Everyone with a PS VR should buy this game.

Moss Book2 is longer, more versatile and graphically better than it's predecessor. Quill (and companions) are adorable as ever, but the even bigger stakes and more interesting puzzles make this follow-up even more interesting. The release together with PS VR2 is welcome and makes this one of the better starter-games of the launch line-up.

Forget Borderlands. Borderlands 2 is so much better. The game, which combines shooter elements with RPG-elements, provides action, humor and a lot of diversity. It's a shame that the story is too hard to follow but nonetheless the game stays strong. Not to forget it's got an really addictive element in it: loot!

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is an amazing game thanks to its fantastic battle system, brilliant story and loveable cast of characters. While the graphics have been upgraded, they still aren't that great in comparison to the other consoles. As a Switch exclusive it is, however, one of the essential JRPG's to play.

Monster Hunter World Iceborne does what an expansion needs to do. It adds tons of new monsters, weapons and armor, which you can use in harder missions. It's story is still weak however and the full price might be a bit too high for an expansion.

It's easy to see that Valve took the concept of Left 4 Dead to a higher level. Everything looks better and there are more enemies. The sound in the game is just as good as the first part, and the graphics are even better. Still, there are some things which could have been better, but despite that it's a great game to have in your collection.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is a very good racing game that brings back the extreme arcade racing from the older games in the series. It's the Need for Speed we all used to know, covered in a brand new coating.
