It seems a bit petty to be moaning when what's here is such incredible value, but we have some titles at their very peak and others simply emulated. The 360 games not being tied in with the same milestones and launching via backwards compatibility seem slightly disconnected from the rest, too, even if a handful of them show Rare at its best.

Despite plenty of issues, A Knight to Remember isn't a terrible start to the adventure, just a rather unnecessarily tedious one. If The Odd Gentlemen can increase the overall game speed and introduce some smarter puzzles, future chapters could indeed be a lot of fun.

    N++
N++ delivers consistently excellent bursts of platforming devilishness, but it's not enough to keep me interested for the long haul.

Tembo could have been great, but sadly it's a game in which you're made to crawl over the line instead of gloriously smash through it.

Awesome Level Max includes some excellent action that is worth the price tag if you're itching for some more Trials Fusion, but sadly the Awesome Adventure isn't nearly as expansive nor as interesting as I'd have liked.

It's probably a better value proposition on PC, but if PS4 is your only way to play then this is well worth £15.

Overall, while there have been some improvements to the series, and the load times mean that you can get through rounds much quicker, the shocking lack of content across the board means that Rory McIlroy's PGA Tour is a disappointment.

F1 2015 represents the best driving seen in the series to date, but sadly doesn't provide the graphical leap it should, nor does it come with the feature list fans rightly expect.

As much as parts of LEGO Jurassic World are very enjoyable and provide some gentle laughs, it's hard not to feel, once again, that LEGO games are in need of a shake up.

Excellent occasionally, good in parts and downright dull in others, Yoshi's Woolly World is a disappointment.

It's epic; it's grand; it's addictive; it's ridiculously good-looking and it's going to be remembered for a long time to come. A masterpiece.

Splatoon can be intensely tactical, and its end-of-battle results screen after a close match is genuinely tense. But these moments can't overcome the thinness of Splatoon's package.

I enjoyed my time battling foes alongside wizard friends new and old, but Magicka 2 takes more effort than most games, and it's tiring.

While Project Cars is certainly demanding, I remain willing to put the time in because the reward of nailing a perfect overtake or completing a clean lap is so satisfying.

It's an interesting game rather than a truly good one, but if you want something a little bit different it definitely delivers on that front.

Every interaction is an intrigue. Not only is the dialogue superbly acted, but I can see every emotion the voice is trying to convey in each character’s face.

Toren's cryptic storytelling and focus on signs, superstitions, ancient beliefs and systems is often close to being too self-indulgent, but its aforementioned style is enough to see it over the line.

Quibbles aside, The Old Blood works: shorter, more tonally cohesive, and better than its forbear, it's also – for most of its five of so hour running time – a better distillation of MachineGames' goals than that which preceded it.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China feels like an Assassin's Creed game without the sense of adventure and scope, and a Prince of Persia game without the cool platforming and exciting combat. That combination doesn't make for a bad game, with the brief campaign offering some entertainment, but it's difficult to get overly excited about.

This is the definitive version, replacing the PS4 equivalent, and it goes some way to expunging the memory of the rather botched launch of PC GTA4. Not all the way...

The most entertaining fighting game on next-gen. It’s bonkers in the best possible way, serving up some eye-watering kills (Cassie Cage’s X-Ray move will make every man wince, every time) and entertaining matches that don’t require great skill to create.

Whether or not you enjoy the technical tweaks brought forth by the upgrade, there’s no arguing that Scholar of the First Sin represents the best value prospect for players, with all DLC included, a bump to 1080p, and a solid framerate. Is it the best version of Dark Souls 2? Not necessarily, but it’s a good game.

A laughably-shambolic campaign and multiplayer that is merely serviceable and too timid to step out of Battlefield 4's shadow.

There’ll be times when you feel genuinely lost, frustrated and unsure of your next step. But you will carry on, you will beat it, and when you do, there’s no other game that can make you feel more elated about doing so.
