Black Legend features some outstanding gameplay elements that can make its battles extremely rewarding. On the other hand, its underwhelming and monotonous game world combines with oodles of technical issues to hold it back from greatness.

Dreams of Another may seem like it has a clever gameplay premise but it gets monotonous very fast. You might enjoy its clever story, though.

I'm sure it has its niche but if you're simply an RPG fan looking for a new game to sink some time into, you can do a lot better than Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris. Its lack of respect for the player's time and unforgivable performance issues are downright ridiculous.

Bulletstorm VR is a hilariously dated game that'll make you laugh as you blow crap up while listening to its stupidly macho cast of characters. However, it's so rough around the edges that I'd find it hard to recommend to even the biggest fan of '90s-era action flicks.

Hardcore JRPG enthusiasts will find Dark Rose Valkyrie to be one of the most rewarding games in recent memory while casual genre fans may be put off by the overall complexity and repetitive missions. Either way, this is one RPG that you don't want to overlook.

REYNATIS features some of the best combat that I've enjoyed in an action RPG. Unfortunately, outside of fighting and a few interesting moments, there really isn't much to hold your attention for long so it's best to rush towards your next thrilling encounter.

The Caligula Effect tells an engaging story that has a deep thought-provoking message. However, the gameplay falls flat in almost every way which ends up making it a chore to play. In the end, Mobius is a virtual prison and it's fitting that it sure feels like one.

Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic is such a charming, funny, and addictive retro RPG experience that it's a must-play for anyone looking for an old-school fun-filled adventure.

Viviette is undeniably the best 2D horror game that I've ever played. Even if you don't particularly like the genre, you still might be pleasantly surprised with what Viviette has to offer.

Playing Crash Drive 2 will provide some fun but don't expect it to fill the shoes of its trick-based sandbox contemporaries.

Project Starship is a simple pick-up-and-play shmup that can provide some frantic fun in between more substantial gaming sessions.

As far as mini-game-fueled indies go, the amount of silly lighthearted fun in Drink More Glurp certainly makes it a stand-out title.

The roguelike nature of Nova Strike is the best thing going for it because unfortunately, its core gameplay isn't all that entertaining.

Stranded Sails is an okay exploration game that rewards you for adventuring into the nooks and crannies of its tropical islands. However, it doesn't do much to stand out and has some annoying gameplay aspects that make exploring feel like a chore.

If you're looking for a variety of games that the whole family can play together then Sports Party is a solid choice. However, gamers who want any sort of depth should probably avoid this and purchase the included sports' higher quality counterparts instead.

DYSCHRONIA: Chronos Alternate is a mostly fun investigative VR adventure that sets the stage for hopefully more games in the genre. Physically standing inside a crime scene and finding clues is surprisingly thrilling but I just wish it had a more interesting world to explore.

Not only is Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption a shameless rip-off of the Souls series, it also manages to be a downright irritating game with very little payoff. Unless you want to show off your boss fighting skills on Twitch or something, I suggest avoiding this game entirely.

Goblin Slayer -Another Adventurer- Nightmare Feast is the kind of game that doesn't give a good first impression but after a while, it really opens up in impressive ways so stick to it and you'll see that it's one great SRPG.

Destiny Connect is a charming JRPG that's full of creativity. However, it's too small and doesn't do much to break from the most basic formulas. If a short but interesting storyline is enough to keep you interested then you may get some enjoyment out of this but those looking for distinct and engaging gameplay should definitely look elsewhere.

I don't care what anyone else says, The Lego Movie 2 Videogame is a ton of fun. With a spot-on blend of familiar Lego gameplay, open-world environments, and an assortment of awesome gadgets; what's not to love?

King's Bounty 2 features fun tactical battles while telling a memorable story as it immerses you in its high fantasy world. But, boy oh boy, prepare for a barrage of ridiculously long loading screens and plenty of other unstreamlined elements.

Death or Treat is a very fun 2D action roguelike with impressively immersive combat that'll have you giddily juggling Halloween monstrosities while they spew out candy as if they're piƱatas and it's your birthday.

I enjoyed my time with The House of the Dead: Remake but it's certainly not as fun as the classic games. It does a lot of things exceptionally well while failing at others so it ends up feeling more like a fan-made adaptation than a true remake.

Astro Bears Party has a solid concept yet it fails to deliver any long-lasting good times. In other words, it's like swatting a delicious-looking salmon from the river only to realise that it doesn't have much meat on its bones.

Fantastic music and unique scoring system aside, Iro Hero simply isn't a fun shoot 'em up. It definitely has potential but its tedious and often frustrating stages make it an easy shmup to pass on even if you're a huge fan of the genre.

As a huge Kirby fan, it pains me to say that I'm very disappointed with Team Kirby Clash Deluxe. From the manipulative freemium model to gameplay that devolves into an annoying exercise of patience; Kirby has definitely seen better days.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a frustrating mess. Its main narrative and characters are compelling but it's all within a game so buggy that, in terms of games with good stories and botched launches, it gives Fallout: New Vegas a run for its money. While I enjoyed my time in Night City because of its solid writing and characters, I cannot give Cyberpunk 2077 a recommendation.

I had fun with the basic gameplay and quirky premise of Rightfully, Beary Arms but it definitely doesn't live up to its genre contemporaries.
